The idle animations are hilarious like when the raptor shakes and you’re on it’s back and you’re like “Ahhhh! Hey! HEY!” and you give the raptor that look lol.
Movement is great and it feels like you are on a heavy mount. Love the leaping jumps when you hold space bar. The overall speed is good, feels like being in a vehicle as you move over the sand.
Can’t wait to try the other mounts, especially that rabbit
Agreed! So excited for the Weaver!
Honestly, I think an account should have at least one level 80 before it unlocks as an option for gems. If they are going to sell them as is, then they should undo all the level gating design changes they implemented in fear of ‘confusing new users’.
I was thinking that as well. It’s certainly fair, but what about vets playing on new accounts that just want to get their chars to 80 quick?
Vets on new accounts should be able to level one character to 80 pretty darn fast… Linking accounts could be a thing, of course, but given reward/effort ratio for Anet I’d say we’re all better off if the multi-account vets just take one for the team here.
The fastest way to level is by craft leveling which still takes awhile and is incredibly tedious.
Why can’t we just double click on a ticket we paid for with our grind currency and instantly have a lvl 80 like other MMO’s have?
Elementalist is the best profession ever. It deserves all the best things. I’m glad to see it get as much power as it can and I hope it gets more. Infinite power.

No, it’s not that great. I mean new players won’t know what they’re doing and old players (at least the majority that I know) have so many tomes of knowledge that this is redundant and over priced.
See above post. And this depends on whether you have tons of tomes or not. I do not. Therefore this is the best thing they could have offered. Over-priced, yes. But I’m just glad that it’s finally an option at all.
Now the new people will buy them and complain they don’t know what to do :P
I think it’s over due BUT I think there should be a limit per account.
New players should be encouraged when they first play the game to learn the game by the leveling process. If they choose to skip it and learn while at max level, that should be their choice. They can always start a new char to learn things. We should not be given more limits. Instead more reasonable options.
If I want to level all my chars to max right away from now on, I should have that option. Not be limited by someone else’s choice to not learn the game the common way of leveling up in one of the 3 modes.
Black Lion Instant Level-80 Ticket
This is what I’ve wanted for SO LONG! NO more tedious craft leveling or world comp for me. Thank you ANET for finally bringing this in. Now to spend lots of money stocking up on these.
I’d happily buy a permanent one if that ever comes
Don’t care how expensive it is.
Next Friday we get the elite spec demo and a full season of Marvel’s The Defenders on Netflix. What a time to be alive.
Being someone who hasn’t raided previously in GW2, I’d like to get into it. But honestly the vibe I have gotten across the board has been that its pretty much out of the question unless you are lucky enough to find a “training” group. I looked in LFG and it was pretty much only wanting exp players.
Am I missing that much if I don’t get to experience raiding?
My main gripe is about raids is the same as dungeons and fractals. To many high strung types are drawn to them. ANet seems to go out of their way to lock content and rewards behind forced multi-player instances because they assume everyone wants or should to be social. PvE is about as social as many people want to be. Going into pressure cooker instances is very stressful for some people like myself. Plus there is finding people to join a group when your ready to play.
It’s easy for some people to say that you don’t have to do it but if you want specific achievements, unlocks or rewards it’s your only choice.
I unfortunately have had to do Ascalonian Catacombs so I can get Ascalonian Tears to make the Nightfury Skin. My experiences haven’t been the best.
I really wish ANet would give us a version of heroes (controlled NPCs) like GW1 that we can use for dungeons and raids. You could fill the player slots with real players or heroes. If we could use our own characters for the hero slots we could equip and build them to our needs.
This^
Hopefully by talking to them and doing their quest you can earn HP points for the elite spec.
No lets embrace the fluky glider, and make life more fun. Hum…
Maybe car brakes that lock while driving
Firework that blow up before the fuse burns down.
Airplane door that don’t stay shut. Can anyone top those?
LOL!
Do you think the third expansion might take place in the ocean? Could we finally get better underwater gameplay?
Or are underwater mechanics still too far off to even consider?
Where did you get all that info? :O
The official website doesn’t have much detail…
