That is what guildies are for, also people will be leveling alts up and running the dungeon with them.

Got stuck here on my first run, Jets blew me into that little hole there. I could not jump out of it. There were no way points for me to port to. I tried everything but could not get out. Luckily i did not have the hammer on me at the time or it would have been stuck there making the level impossible.

I then logged out and logged back in but could not join my group.

Just a bug that needs fixing.

While the one time “event” is actually the entire weekend of events.

The 16th will be the defense of LA.

The 18th is the “real” one time event apparently. You can check the link for what it is going to be. I don’t want to give away any spoilers to anyone who wants to be surprised.

This is what the chests are. When you realize that you do them becuase they are fun and there is a chance that you will get an amazing reward.

Also you should watch all of these guys’ vids. They are very underrated.

Ranger is really easy as well. Built in tank if you have a bear pet plus they have good range DPS with Longbow and good melee with Sword/Dagger.

none of you even had the time or the means to test it, let alone see it, for it has not been implemented in the game yet. why hate things that you know nothing or very little of?

I would say that 80% of the people who say they will leave actually won’t leave but are just angry and think that if Anet is scared of losing its customers they will take it back.

People are afraid that this game will turn into a gear grind. That is pretty much the basis for everything.

Yeah personally i am not happy with this new tier but i will continue to give it a chance and hope for the best.

I understand that and was going to take the results with a grain of salt.

Personally i am surprised by the number of people excited about this content.

To be fair, they did state that they wanted to save the addition of a new tier of items until an expansion, but felt forced to do so because they needed some end game content.

They are putting a band-aid on a severed artery right now. This will not fix the problem. They need real horizontal progression. I don’t want to feel like i HAVE to play this game. I WANTED to play this new monthly content because it sounded awesome.

So long as ArenaNet doesn’t make the dungeons impossible to do without Ascended gear, but can be done in your Greens and Blues, there is no problem.

To be speculative of the blog post, sine people are choosing to take the OMG TREADMILL path, I’m going to speculate on the Deeper through the Fractals path. What I read into this was its infinitely scaling difficulty, not the first “tier” of the dungeon. I could be wrong, but the lot whining and wailing about a gear treadmill (that already exists in the form of fine, masterwork, rare, and exotic) could be wrong as well.

The doom and gloomers in this thread are not the majority, this design choice clearly makes it out you’re not. I doubt your leaving this game will have a dramatic effect on my, or anyone who decides to stay, gameplay experience.

The difference here is that this dungeon gets harder and harder the more you complete it. Besides AC is a bad example.

I do see LF2M arah em full exotics and experienced only.

And its not because the people are mean or whatever either, it will be because it will be necessary to have this gear to grind the dungeon at the highest difficulties.

I had hoped for more horizontal progression – player housing, guild housing, wardrobes for armor skins, more town clothes, emotes, new content, better reward structures in down-leveled areas, etc. I am not excited about Ascended gear at all. It sounds like an easy fix to a problem that is going to quickly reappear.

Sigh: why couldn’t you just have a stat on the ascended items that makes them better ONLY inside the dungeon?

I understand these will probably not be the hardest to get but please if you continue to make the full set of ascended gear, make it equal to exotics unless in the dungeon. You see from the over 2,000 responses to this thread that your fan base does not want this new tier of armor.

I personally took a week off from this game when i got all the armor that i wanted and such and did not want to grind for the rest of it. I was more than happy to come back on the 15th and I was VERY excited about the new dungeon and end game content.

Now i am afraid for this games future.

Well, I think it shouldn’t just be the size.

Compare Juvenile Marsh Drake, with Marsh Drake and Veteran Marsh Drake.
Most creatures have different models for juvenile, normal and veteran.
It should be used for pets as well.

The size of my pet is what I care about the least, though I wouldn’t mind it growing a little – just a little, like 25% tops.

Or have them start even smaller than they are? Yeah i see what you are saying with the models. I would like the lvl 80 versions of the pets to have unique skins though, maybe a bear with battle scars ect.

Yeah just transmuted T3 chest. The only way you can have 30g right when you hit 80 (without getting VERY lucky drops ect.) is buying gold.

There are so many other ways to get exotics with the stats you want, I like having to work for the skin.

Ehh, I feel that would make this game an online version of Skyrim. Armor stats don’t really add THAT much to the defence of any class. (Not sure on the difference between full light and full heavy in terms of def rating.) Mostly the armor is for looks. I don’t really want to see elementalists in full heavy armor.

Also it would require a large reworking of most of the classes to make sure that they are balanced with all amors. (I could see D/D eles in full heavy being ridiculously OP).

Question: What character/profession are you rolling? I am norn ranger. Not the “heaviest” of the norn builds either and i don’t find him light at all. My human thief I like being light, makes me feel more stealthy. As for floating, i never really noticed this. Spells, I like the spell effects. I don’t want too over the top effects for large scale battles, plus you need to be able to see the combo fields to maximize damage ect. My only issue with the spells, and all abilities in general is the sounds. They get quite annoying after being repeated a couple hundred times. (especially with quickness)

Well, the problem is people use stolen credit cards to buy accounts to make bots, very hard to track. Also, if you do end up buying gold, (Don’t do it!!) you will be giving the credit card thieves… all of your credit card information. Do i need to connect the dots on this one? Plus, if they do not give you your gold. What are you going to do?

If people stop buying gold, they will stop trying to sell. Spread the world!

Just like the title says, Show off your armor and weapons! I am really interested to see what everyone goes for in the armor designs! What dyes do you use? What general look are you going for? What end goal do you have for your armor?

I know everyone like to show off, so i thought it would be cool to have a topic where people could look at what other players have and maybe get new ideas about what they want to look like.

My current armor/weapons for my Level 80 Ranger (Medium armor):

• CoE Head
• CoF Gloves and boots
• Norn T3 cultural chest
• Norn T1 cultural leggings
• Halloween Deathly Shoulderpads
• Pact Longbow
• AC Sword
• Shaman’s Etched dagger

Dyes: Midnight Ice, Redemption, Tarnished silver

Im going for the look of Scorpion for Mortal Combat. At first i was going for Sub-Zero, but i don’t have the the right blue yet to make it work. I am currently working on getting the corrupted shard as my dagger, and hopefully Azureflame as my Longbow eventually.

I am sure you all have great weapons and armors and I would like to see them all!

So, before Halloween, gem prices (in terms of gold to gem exchange rates) were fairly reasonable. However, the day of Halloween release, the price jumped to 1.2g per 100gems and stayed at around 80-90 gems throughout halloween. I would like to purchase some gems to buy Transmutation stones, ect. and waited through Halloween for the prices to drop. Now I learn that some Halloween items will be available until the next Monthly event? (Nov. 15th)

Sorry if this comes off sounding selfish, but I just think it would be a good idea to give the economy a break even for a few days. That being said I do not know if there will be anything new to buy in the gem store during the November event, or possibly the gem prices will return to normal after a few days of this new update. I just wanted to see if anyone else feels this way, and give you my first reaction to the news.

This wasn’t an exploit discovered. This was just a proper loottable with exotics, as it would have been from beginning on every chest, expecially big ones like Balthazar, Grenth, Dragons. Finally they made a proper loot table, and wow, they just destroyed it.
Who gives a kitten of the economy. The economy doesn’t rotate around exotics noone buy. Who the hell buy unnamed exotics. Nor ectos, on sale for 15 s.

Did you check the sigils, runes, ectos? Do you have the statistics of by the hour prices? I was their when the price of fire sigil dropped 50s in 2hours. OF COURSE its back to where it was before because the supply is back the original. I am simply stating that i don’t want exotic drops to be that frequent because I don’t want the economy to tank.

I’m American, from Ohio, I noticed that the drop rates were very high and wasn’t sure if it was a bug, so i left to go do clocktower for a couple hours before coming back. I would have had more than 2 if i was a gold seller. Why are you so mad bro?

Got 2 when it first started, both salvaged and sold. Didn’t know it wasn’t supposed to have that high of drop rate. Because the drop rate was so high the prices of exotics dropped like crazy. Which is bad. So no, don’t put it back. You want my 3g i made off exotics take it but i don’t want to see exotics going for 17s on TP in 3 days thanks.
