i’d also suggest you try a few different classes. i was pretty surprised how different each class felt. my favorite class atm is the ele, and mesmer being my least fav (for PvE content).

ranger is a fun class though. most classes stop gaining abilities fairly early, but with ranger you’re getting new pets in most new zones you hit.

again, welcome to GW2 and enjoy your time in game!

really you can pick any class you want. can spec them to your playstyle. i play all 8 classes and have no issues with any of them. Orr event farming can be done the way you want with any class.

i know that kind of sounds like a cop out, but it’s true. the game is pretty slick like that.

yup. being an asura makes this suck. just bad design.

I try and join against players of my rank and i get tossed into a match with me and one other player. i’m not sticking around for that.

being able to see the stats of the last 5-10 matches or so would be useful as well.

that small window we get at the end of a match just doesn’t really cut it imho. every once in a while i esc out of it too. not sure if there’s a way to bring it back up though. may just be me not looking hard enough.

i too really enjoy this game, but it has a long way to go. it wouldn’t even be an issue if “esport” wasn’t thrown around so much. the few upcoming features are a tiny bit of what the game needs. i really don’t want to beat a dead horse here, but the long lists that show up on reddit, guru, and here really need to be worked on asap.

again though, enjoying the game.

so after the input, i ended up just joining matches that were close to full. a lot better then running without other players, but would still like it if i was matched against players close to my own rank.

i’m still learning all the classes and major builds that i don’t play, and going against the higher ranking players that stick to one or two classes is a lil ruff to learn on. it’s not giving me a lot of time to react, but the sink or swim aspect can be a positive. first time trying each build is crushing me, but after a match or two i tend to be doing well.

thanks to those with the input, but i would really like it if they could adjust how the queue system works.

i go into hot join and more then half the time i’m in there with only one other player. 1v1 is cool and all, but not why i play. something i’m doing wrong?

same. play a lot of different games (single player and mmo), as i can’t work or leave the house (disabled vet), and this game takes just about 4x longer to load then the slowest of any other game i play that’s on my SSD.

really not going to lie here, but this isn’t even close to ok. my system is top end, and my internet costs an arm and a leg so i wont have these issues.

i have been unable to join guilds from about a week into launch, at the start i joined 4 guild 1 being my own, and a friend sent me another invite to another guild (this being the 5th), i got an error (code=3040:1002:3:1950:101) when i tried to join this guild.

so i left 1 guild to try join and still get the error, so now im down to 3 guilds at this point.
i start to think maybe the max amount of guilds i can be in is 3 guilds and the game bugged out and let my join the 4th on week 1.
so to test this i then left another guild to try accept an invite and still this error comes up, im now down to 2 guilds and no matter what guild i try to accept the invite to i still get the error.

its not that the invite has timed out or anything as some of the invites i tried to accept the very min i got them this is happening with every guild invite not just 1 or 2, its up to 4 or 5, doesnt seem to matter what the tag is.

please help i am in only 1 guild with friends and 1 guild i own, i have alot of friends in all dif guild and i am not able to join them.

i do alot of WvW and would like to join a guild dedicated to that aswell.

same thing going on with me. can’t accept a guild invite. same error.

why are there no responses on a fix? people have been reporting this for weeks.

same error, and am also in 4 guilds. is this for real? we have this amazing option to be part of multiple guilds, but caps at 4? i know devs are watching these forums, but there’s no response on this issue from what i’ve seen. if someone has an answer to this please let me know. this is really frustrating.

there are so many bugs and issues in game, i really don’t want Anet to add anything till they fix what’s already broken. with that said, the list of things that are broken is pretty big.

all plans for esports sooner then later are flyin out the window imho. i’m tryin really hard to keep with it, but there’s just no way it’s going to be ready anytime soon. anything that’s being built is just being built on sand. fix the foundation, then worry about building some more structure please.

ok, think i may have it. a buddy showed my that i can just click title in WMM and it will bring up a small intro that i can mess with. it may not be one of the top end fancy intros i’ve seen, but it may work.

really would’ve liked one of those slick ones though.

wasn’t sure where to post this, but for those that are using YouTube, how are you making the intros to your vids?

i often see some really nice graphic intros prior to the actual videos, and was wanting to set something like that up for my own videos. free would be the best price. i’ve been trying to look around the last couple days and am kind of coming up short. the best answers i tend to find are Vegas Pro which is pretty spendy, or Animoto which only has a few graphics for the free version.

i’m currently using Fraps to record, and Windows Movie maker to edit if it helps.

i’d say Artificer due to all the potions. it was really cheap to do up to 400.

i look at all of our conjured pieces and get so depressed when i know i can’t swap between em. there are just enough spaces to allow for all of them too.. such a shame
