What’s funny is falling some distance, not enough to die, but enough to get splatted on the ground, then holding down the forward button and just sliding splatted along the ground, around the map and stuck in that pose until you animate a skill Yes I’m easily amused…

That happens occasionally in WvW as well (enemy players using stealth to get into the spawn point and killing players at the waypoint, or leading them around keeping them busy). I always felt that all NPCs in a spawn area should be Legendary Defenders who are invincible, unshakable, and able to one-shot enemy players and send them back to their own spawn point immediately.

Make gates the first upgrade.

I have to agree that gates should be upgraded before walls are upgraded, since roaming zergs can siege and PvDoor (which shouldn’t be allowed, but that’s another thread) and down paper gates in no time compared to even paper walls.

That also happened last night in the match between Yak’s Bend/BP/IoJ.
I was in Yak’s Bend Borderland running with a Commander and team, when suddenly we were all back at our citadel spawn point. I suspect it may be related to the reset of the 4 hour Edge of The Mists map matchups. Hope it gets fixed soon as it is quite annoying.

Any News on Golem Mastery?

I’ve tested the issue of golem speed and it appears to work.
A full set (including water breather if you want to be faster underwater too) of
Superior Runes of Speed
or
Superior Runes of The Traveller
will give your golem +25% movement all the time you are manning it.
It’s still faster to use portals, but it helps a bit if you only have one mesmer
to do your portals.
The Runes of Speed can be crafted fairly cheaply, but the Traveller Runes are only available as loot drops and are very very expensive on the TP.

If that is the lag is the same as when a player approaches the enemy massive mob, I am getting it also.
I would like aNet to do something to make it disadvantageous to group is such large mobs (50+ players) which make it difficult for many of us to play without disabling lag.

I still think this is a great idea as outline by the OP to give WXP to characters AS THEY ESCORT Supply Caravans to reward player who try to protect that valuable resource.

This is still something worth pursuing.

Target Closest also suffers from the selects a neutral target before a hostile target problem, with the result that you end up aggravating more enemies than you can handle sometimes. Yellows should be like White targets, you should have to click on them (or throw an AOE attack in their area) to attack them. At the least as one suggested, it should be an OPTION to include Yellow/Neutral targets in the target selection system.

+1 Agree: Remove player damage to gates (and walls).

It would make players use more siege equipment and supply to do what it was meant to do in the game, be used to attack and defend structures, and slow down the giant roaming bands which don’t have to invest anything to just beat gate after gate down.

At the very least, PvDoor damage should stop having an effect on a Gate or Wall after a certain point (such as 50% of door/wall strength left).

Completely agree with items 1 and 2.

They would allow and encourage a more defensive game for we who don’t just like to roam in an army for our own protection and feel futile doing any defence against masses of enemy who just melt doors or walls and swarm over you.

4 (autolooting) would be very handy in fall-back actions where the bags and chests get left behind. I DO like that some nearby loot bags DO sometimes follow you back to a waypoint if you rally after defeat.

Some of the suggestions for new siege equipment would add some interesting wrinkles to the game, so long as it’s not overpowering. (player flinger SOUNDS hilarious, loved the Cattlepult once it was fixed ). Recall how much fun the flaming pumpkins were around Halloween

+1 for an obvious good idea.
I’m still recovering and adjusting to the lag included with the addition of self-adjusted culling and the resulting mega-zerg tactic it seems to have spawned in WvW, and a wall of text is bad enough without becoming a double wall of text. I don’t care if the enemy has “King of the Sand Castle” or “Just another Red Dot” below his name. I don’t even care what shows instead of Invader or Defender for that matter…
Please do include an option at least to show/not show Enemy Titles.

Had a great time with it in WvW recently, but, as others have said, please make it a selectable optional feature in case it doesn’t agree with all the varied setups and physical conditions.
