The entire argument of “shoulders are part of the same mesh” has become a stupid cop-out. Stop making them part of the same mesh then.
This is very annoying. Funny how simply allowing us to hide outfit shoulder-pads would solve ugly problems like this.
Its just feels like A-net doesn’t even care anymore. Which kinda makes me not care anymore.
I prefer a new elite specialization.
I think the reason they don’t have the hide shoulders options is that the outfit is a continuous mesh/texture without anything underneath the shoulder portion. I could be wrong and they may have multiple layers
You can hide the head armor so no reason to not be able to hide the shoulder armor.
If they designed the outfits as single meshes with not under layers then no, the reason you can hide helm is there is no under layer for the helmet to begin with…..
Well plenty of the outfits have an under layer, so for now how about simply hiding the massive object floating over my shoulder?
ArenaNet don’t let our dreams be dreams.
+1, You should see a rise in gemstore sales on outfits shortly after.
I completely agree; just wish Anet would understand.
It’s not just big, but it does that annoying floaty thing which big shoulder pads do as well. I wish we could simply hide shoulders because I like the outfit in spite of them.
With the addition of Taimi’s outfit, I can’t help but feel I want this function even more. Please hear us ANet
I would very much like to see the ability to hide shoulder/glove armor on outfits in the same we we already have that functionality in the wardrobe. Please and thank you for making a great game.
Or just start designing better shoulders :\
I think the problem here is that so much rests in the eye of the beholder.
If we had the option to hide a few more pieces (shoulders/gloves) then each costume could potentially appeal to a wider range of players.

Hiding any part of the Mursaat outfit is blasphemy. You do not deserve the outfit!
I’d rather blaspheme the Mursaat than commit heresy in the eyes of the Fashion Lords!!
There are outfits I would have purchased if it weren’t for the ridiculous shoulders. The option to toggle outfit shoulders off would go a long way towards making me consider purchasing them. But if ANet doesn’t want my money…
I really can’t comprehend why they didn’t create the outfits with this functionality to begin with. Equipment slots can be hidden for the helments, shoulders, and gloves; so why was that not made available for outfits too!??!
I think some of the outfits would look amazing if I could just hide shoulders. Really hoping Anet takes notice…
I don’t understand why they keep ignoring this problem. Lots of people hate the shoulder armor on outfits and won’t buy outfits because of it. ArenaNet is throwing money away.
I would buy a number of the costumes if I could only hide the hideous shoulder portions.

I just want to hide the shoulders and gloves of some of my current outfits.
I just picked up the White Mantle Outfit, and instantly regretted it. A-net should really allow us to hide all the parts we can normally hide with armor.
The only time GS is viable is for parts of the game where it doesn’t really matter what you bring.
This person gets it.
Also the idea of a slow hulking unstoppable weapon doesn’t even fit the current GS. It is slow/easy to avoid but it’s easily stoppable. If the weapon gave CC immunity on attacks then it would fit the description. As it stands it simply fails in all modes. Yes even PVE
I am fairly happy with where stability is right now. I have a lot of stability put into my build and I still get knocked around a bit, which is probably where it should be.
This Thread is very frustrating to read. Lots of people in here don’t seem to want changes made to the Greatsword but it’s one of our weakest weapons and needs some adjusting.
I have completely given up on the weapon in PvP, in no small part to its slow and highly telegraphed attacks.
The fact is it is our shortest range weapon, we are the least mobile class, and it has the slowest attack speed as well. All that makes it way too easy to avoid reaper gs attacks. The great sword is not large and imposing it is awkward and clumsy.
I would take dagger over the axe, but either of those are better than the sluggish gs
Is anyone on these forums?
The option “Vertical Position Far” keeps resetting in my camera options. I couldn’t find any recent posts about this. Does anyone know if its on ArenaNet’s radar for things to fix?
It gives me a headache. I love the Revenant but some of these effects are very unappealing
My first reaction was like ‘’man so messy and powerless’’.
I felt the same when when I first saw it…still do.
I would love to see a toggle or at least see it off when out of combat. Because we have two legends it’s almost impossible to find colors that suit both of them.
Likes
- Large PvP battles. I love it when 2-3 zergs clash.
- Variety/unpredictability of fights.
- The sense of a larger conflict. In SPvP you have your game and then it’s over. In WvW the war keeps waging, in a way it makes it feel more meaningful.
Dislikes
- Lack of updates. WvW is the main reason I play this game and it gets the least ammount of new content. Adding the living world PvE content is not wanted or appreciated; it is not an addition to WvW it is a subtraction.
- Reward system. Basically every way you reward players in WvW I dislike. The lack of incentive to defend, the way tagging works so I’m stuck trying to tap everything, the abundance of k-training, and the overall lack of rewards from WvW (PvE gives soo much more money/gear).
- Soo many conditions and immobilize does too much . Every WvW build I’ve used is designed to remove as many conditions as possible because conditions are so powerful. And immobilize doesn’t just hold you in place, it keeps you from dodging, and in some cases attacking. It’s like stun but it can stack duration albeit not by much. I am tired of eating Bowls of Lemongrass Poultry Soup.
I love the PvE set. It is menacing yet regal due to your color choice. I would like to see some other angles of it.
I can’t say I’m a fan of the WvW set, since the Arah pants aren’t to my liking, at least not with the flamewrath.
I agree that the female version looks terrible. The best thing we can do is not buy it on female toons and maybe ANET will see they can sell more if they make the female version equivalent to the male’s.
All my toons are male however so it doesn’t bother me too much.
Race Change please! I hate my Human Warrior
Why’d you make him then if you hate him?
For a lot of players there are certain aspects you just don’t notice about a race right away. I for one didn’t notice human males tiny feet until I was 80 and started looking for some cool boots. Other people experience different issues that just don’t come up right away.
Most MMO’s out there has race changes by now, you should release the service aswell ArenaNet. I know for sure a lot of people want this feature badly, including me!
PS: Don’t tell me to make a new character to just change race, I’ve probably spent 500g overall on this character on soulbound items and have around 1000+ hours invested in just this character that I want to change race with.
This is the same issue I am having. I have a number of ascended items on my character but I have come to despise his race for cosmetic reasons. Re-rolling is not an option.
And for those complaining about issues with the personal story, why can’t the story be reset to the first chapter of the new race.
+ 1 for race change.
Anet would make some more money off of me.
Make conjures work like kit of the engineer? But with the current cooldown on the relased enviroment weapon and 9 sec on wepon swap, ofc.
Right now conjures are weaker versions of the engineers kit.
I would love to see this implemented.
I used a 20/25/0/25/0 conjure build in spvp and it was ok, when i wasnt kited. But eles thrive on variety, when you dont use variety you lose out on what makes the class good.
This is precisely why I don’t use conjured weapons. I find them to be incredibly limiting, which is counter-productive to the nature of the Elementalist class.
Conjureds need more revamp/rework on mechanic than buffs or tweaks.
I agree. I feel the current approach to conjures is all wrong. If all they do is buff or tweak conjures, I doubt I’ll use them.
I am enjoying my Ele very much, though I still want conjured weapons to be more useful.
Interesting suggestions, I like the idea of stowing the weapon. One of the reasons I refuse to use conjured weapons is because of how limiting they are, and stowing/swapping might alleviate that issue. I have to give up too much to slot a conjured weapon and then be handicapped while I use it, no thanks.
The fact that they are not instant casts is another major turn-off for me.
I’m surprised not so few people noticed that. It’s main reason I can’t play humans.
pretty much the same for me
i’ve tried to create both male and female humans, but the legs and feet really ruin it for me
I did not notice their feet right away. After I got to 80 I realized just how weird it looks. Now I can’t play my human characters, it just looks so silly.
What an odd thing to notice!
I truly wish I hadn’t because now I can’t help but see it every time I look at my character.
I agree with Zepp, the feet are far too small(for human males). The problem is compounded if you make him muscular and tall as well, since the feet do not scale. You are left with childlike feet on a man size body. Unless ANet makes the feet scale, the best advice I can give is to find large modeled boots
ErikiB the reason the Norn (male) feet look so huge is that they are built for the largest Norn body size. If you examine my screenshot you can see with larger builds everything scales up including hands, however feet stay the same size (the head as well, but it can be adjusted elsewhere).
