As you can see, Wakkey (Abjured), Cast, and I (Physicks) trio queued + Zoe L and Nnight (Apex) against 5 soloqueuers.

Not fully convinced the matchmaking issues were fixed— perhaps there is another bug?

AspectGG Pug Quest #12 will coincide with Beta Weekend therefore Elite Specialization classes will be allowed to compete.

What is Pug Quest?
AWO is AspectGG’s series of weekly open tournaments aimed mainly at newer free agents looking to gain some experience playing in a team environment. This event is a 5v5 Conquest tournament in Guild Wars 2. We hold the event weekly on Saturday evenings starting at 4:00 EST. If you plan on signing up, please make sure you are signed up and in the appropriate Teamspeak channel before 3:30 EST.
Participants are not allowed to sign up as a team. This is purely a soloqueue-only tournament.

Do not sign up the day of the tournament; you will not be guaranteed a spot if you do.

Date: Sautday Aug. 8th 2015

PRIZE:
- Winning at least one game: Mini Llamas
- 1st place: 2000gems per player.
- 2nd place: 800 gems per player.

I know a lot of the suggestions from that list were covered on the forums. The difference is the general fairness the suggestions were for all classes.

Class bias, if any, remained very subtle unlike the stuff people post about like nerfing their counters out of existence. Hope they consider that list.

Oh, and it’s great for necros to have Bhawb. He’s the necromancer lobbyist, always looking after balance concerns for the class.

Except for elementalist. Seems like there are no ideas/proposals about them beyond “Water/Arcana is too necessary”. I wish one of the “big names” who plays ele as a main would actually step up and do something like this. Before you say why don’t you do it, I have sent in things in the past, but it isn’t the same coming from me then lets say… Phantaram.

I can assure you that all profession discussions are fairy represented by these “chosen players.”

Downed State Penalty:
Each time you are downed, you earn one point of downed penalty that lasts for 60 seconds. For each point, your initial health bar is reduced by 25%. Characters that accumulate four penalty points are automatically defeated, i.e. if you are downed four times within a minute, you do not have a chance to rally.

The current downed state penalty mechanics only applies to PvE. In PvP, coordinated rez is an absolute essential part of team fighting; however, this promotes certain exploits:

1. Downed bodies lose all conditions when they are rezzed.
2. Mercy runes effectively full heals someone when they rez from the downstate.
3. Lack of downed state penalty allows certain bunker comps to perpetually rezz each other.

PUG Quest will not take place for the next two weeks due to Tournament of Legends 3.

Instead, we will host 2v2 tournaments until the completion of Tournament of Legends 3 on NA and EU.

1. PugQuest is not an entry level tournament— those are called Ranked Queues.

2. PugQuest caters to intermediate players— those experienced players who may not have a team to play with. It allows them to play with other players who know how Conquest works. ( Conquest =/= TDM)

3. PugQuest is also for ESL players who are looking to compete in a more relax setting. These high tier players give the essence of competitive PvP.

4. PugQuest#4 seems one-sided because Seeds 2, 3, and 7 did not show up. Weaker teams (teams who triple capped) took their place in later rounds.

i.e. if we had 100 inexperienced players and 20 experienced players: I would rather make 8 teams with 2-3 experienced players than making 1 diluting 1 experienced player with 4 inexperienced ones.

There’s nothing wrong with it.
Transmute: Coverts weakness to 3 seconds of protection. Vulnerability converts to one might stack. There’s so much cover condition that anyone will hardly get protection from transmute.

Warrior Warhorn conversion:
Has higher chance of converting vulnerability to protection than Enginners, but it’s usually covered by poison, burn, bleed in a team fight. Shoutbows are usually the easiest target in a team fight. Shoutbows getting 3 seconds of protection in a 1v1 is the least of your worries.

Definitely not “broken.”

Sorry about the confusion. One of our admin accidentally published too soon. We had to tweak the teams and players around to accommodate more players which led to rebalancing of a few teams! Next week, we will publish the complete teams and bracket Friday night (late registration are still accepted though. This means that players who register early will be guaranteed a spot.)

BRACKETS ARE LIVE! Please refer to the information page on how to get started! This is a DOUBLE ELIMINATION tournament. The loser bracket will play best of 1 and those teams will fight their way back to the champion bracket. Teamspeak3 will be provided.

No one gives a poop about MMR or leaderboards, but unranked queues are SIGNIFICANTLY quicker than ranked queues. And most of us play troll classes/builds in unranked anyway -/smileyface-

I remember talking to someone about at PAX EAST but forgot the exact reason for the teleport changes. I think it was meant to be a technical change rather than an intended balance change. Something about casting a teleport (and having it go on cool down) and not going anywhere because of LoS issues is confusing for players. With the change, you’ll be told whether or not you could go there before actually casting the port.

He is presented with 2 choices: kite AWAY from his teammates OR run onto the point where his teammates could provide heals for him. Having Ostrich Eggs on the team may not give the Abjured the advantage since Oegg’s playing style is reckless to say the least. DPS Guard and D/P Thief annihilate any Cele class. The only reason why this doesn’t happen on NA is because 1. Tage is a god ( I love you Tage) 2. NA has little team coordination due to volatile relationships.

I don’t think that’s how it played out. He was focused so easily by melee because his positioning was bad. Yes, it’s very likely he would have had to run into melee at some point to get support from his teammates. But he always made it easy for the melee classes by literally running into their range at the start of every fight. That’s pretty much all you can do wrong as a necromancer.

I don’t think any Necro enjoys getting Ring of Warding’d and gets gassed by blackpowder (Fear Mark, Chill Mark, etc gets blinded) while panic strikes proccs.

Why is blu not just being flown out?

He has done more work than anyone else in the community and deserves it more than anyone. At the same time he is not a top tier player like the others on the list and should not be playing in an “All Stars” competition, he is a caster not a player and we do not want the casting mess that was pax.

Outplayed’s comp requires higher level of coordination than Apex’s. It’s evident in the scrim vods where Outplayed outplayed Apex.

I speculate this will come in Season 2? PLEASE? I think Precursor crafting is long overdue!

KPz is the PRIME example of fail balance. KPz literally played that comp for ONE day because their main classes were not working out in team queue. The bunker comp carries.

What about the pre-Fractured patch fractal weapons (the ones without stats on them)? I would be able to transmute to give them stats?

I’ve always been an avid fan of fractals. I am just wondering if multiple fractal skins will be turned into transmutation charges.

I am experiencing this as well. This started a few hours ago and it disconnects for every 5sec to 5minutes.

Perplexity has no place in PvP.
