I don’t recall if you can see the upgrade status of enemy objectives in-game, but if you can’t I’ll need to talk to people before I can commit to exposing them via API. I’ve got an existing github issue for this feature.

Unless * changed today, as of last night you can see all there guild upgrades including CD’s. (I remember checking to see how long they had till they could E-WP again)

Just noticed this achievement and noticed each teir has there own version of this. Since you need to do it for each tier, it means you must do 3 PvP matches for 60 days in the next 2 months (only a couple days missed allowed). IMO, this is stupid tight and means if you want to do anything for xmas you will be not able to get the legendary.

So, if you want to get it, better start now! They didnt really say how tight the timing would be in there post and I feel there will be many people needing that Vial of Salt when they figure out they started too late.

Brining up this post, its been a few days.

Greetings all, with the WvW servers open atm I thought I would post to say HzH, a guild from GW1 is looking to expand. We are a small social WvW/PvE guild looking to expand. We currently field 10-15 on our WvW rally’s and looking to about double our numbers. We are fine with new players or people from lower teir servers looking to get involved in the T1 experience. We try to teach our players.

What we are looking for:
- New players who are looking to get into WvW
- Vets who may of not tried WvW before and want to try it.
- People who have WvW’ed before and want a more relaxed environment.
- We are looking for a secondary pin for days I can not be around.

Note:
- While TS is not required, people will benefit by being in it since we talk more there than in game.
- While we are not officially 18+, we expect mature people who wont be offened by adult talk in TS here and there.
- Rep’ing is only required while doing a guild event.
- Current guild events times:
– WvW – Wensday @ Reset
– WvW – Saturday @ WvW reset
– Guild Missions – Friday @ 5PST
– Fractals – Tuesday @ 5PST
- We are currently LvL 25 with a focus on WvW upgrades. We have also got an arena.

Good Day, would like to add my suggestions and encourage others to post theres on ways to improve the new WvW. I will bold the TLDR for quick reading. Feel free to post yours and I will add to my lost.

1) There have been a lot of requests of people wanting the onld BL’s back. While I think most of the population disparity is because of people getting there PvE on, I do wish I could go back to the simple map here and there for an easy roam and not worry about getting lost. I would suggest changing only the top BL (red) to always be the old BL’s and the outside BL’s to remain desert.

2) Scribbling / Guild upgrade costs are expensive. I dont mind them being expensive to unlock, but the cost to make them every time is what kills me. The cost to tower upgrades was removed since WvW is not a large money gain as is, and was an unneeded gold sink before. I suggest that players in WvW and caps drop items that are exclusively used in making siege with the scribe and removing the large gold cost from them and also making it something that needs to be earned… by doing WvW Guilds already have a time based limit on how much siege they can make, if you want to limit how much upgrades a guild can do, limit it this way.

3) Leveling scribe to be able to craft these things is ludicrously expensive. If you want it to remain expensive and something to be earned over a long period of time either bind scribe level to the guild or reduce siege crafting requirements to a lower level so that people can craft them Have you guys seen what happens when you hit ~150g scribe?!

4) Movement based events. While I am not a big Eotm guy, something that it had that I think should be more used is movment based captures. Shrines do a fair job at making your own keep better, but when you zone into a map you often have 10min+ walk to a pin. An example of this event would be something kinda like worm tunnel. Have 2 points that you must both own that can move people large distances. This will bring more strategy and choices on how to deal with attacks and at the same time give the payers more things to decide. (Want to leave some players behind so they can defend so that your reinforcements can keep pouring in? Or just push and know that your reinforcements may be greatly delayed.) This could even be another oasis event. I would love an event that gets us to collect parts so we can make a player catapult/cannon at our keep (removed when capped, only 1 up per map, seigable).

5) Catch-Up Mechanics. If your server is far behind, let them get points. I hate at the end of week were I have little urge to WvW since the score is set and nothing I can do will change it. Maybe something like…. (Team above you in place/Your score) score value on anything that changes score. For an example, this week, BG is at 197k and JQ is at about 179k. This would mean JQ earns 1.1 point per 1 point. (I do think formula needs some work but thats a base idea to work off of.)

I was suggested to re post this to the official forums about the potential for this kind of behavior to get out of hand. I come from eve, we dont want Guild stealing to become a source of income in this kind of game. I am not big on these forums, if anything is against the rules please let us know.

Good day folks, I just want to remind you all something we were just reminded. Today, my guild (HzH), a guild on JQ since the start of GW1. With HoT bribing people back, we also had many of our old leaders come back. The other day one of our leaders demoted everyone else. It used to be the top rank could not demote equal rank but this I guess changed. If this happens to your guild, Anet support will not be able to help you, I know multiple people in the guild was given a “We do not interfere with guild matters” response. While I understand there caution with touching these matters, there needs to be better tools for dealing with this since we had over a thousand gold into upgrades since the expansion.

I do feel since this expansion has such a strong use of guilds, this policy may need to be looked at. Especially once guilds are fully upgraded, I expect them to be valued at over 10k gold. This is no longer just a group of friend that can move to a new name which is how it used to work.

This is mostly a warning for those to remember to keep your guild safe, with all these people coming back, they may not be who they used to be.
I would also like to thank the many JQ guilds and leaders who have offered us support while we decide our next move.

EDIT2: I will not disagree, one of our leaders made a mistake on promoting him, sadly one persons mistake may of killed a guild made at launch (No one blames/hates you if you are reading this)

EDIT3: I put in a ticket response asking that if this is allowed, can this become a playstyle much like games such as eve online? (Which I come from.)

EDIT4: I was told its “case by case” so I basically wouldn’t worry. We have TS logs, chat logs, screen shots, ect, I would not worry >>.

So long story short, my friends guild just got taken over by a new officer who demoted everyone. I got to empty the guild bank before he got me, but I have spent nearly 500g on there guild hall so far, is it known if GM’s can restore out leader? She has a ticket in but a search has now shown how they handle this situation.

I dont want to leave the game over this.

Also happened to me, THINK I used to use the medium accended skin on it.

Thanks for the information, all. We’re investigating WvW issues now.

Issues we’re aware of:

• Objective supply caps getting set to un-upgraded levels.
• “World peace” (everyone on a map is friendly to one-another). Happening in some maps. Eternal Battlegrounds EU matches with Gunnar’s Hold and Abaddon’s Mouth are known instances.
• WvW API not updating/giving data.
• NPC guards spawning at wrong times and/or on wrong teams within objectives.
• Score reduction when some maps in a match reset.

Issues for later:

• NPC workers getting stuck.

Please post here if you find anything else, have more information you’d like to add, or see more “World peace” maps where all players are friendly (be sure to include at least one involved World’s name, and which map it’s happening in).

I’m also investigating and may not post on this topic frequently.

In JQBL hills, we have red guards respawning as well (not to big, just adding to your list of things to fix)

That’s assuming your server always gets 300 or more tickets. Some servers aren’t even getting 1 mistforged this season.

Yep, if you bandwagon like the pros to get 500 tickets each season it will only be 12 seasons for a full set. If you stay on a server with a small population relative to the rest of their league and end up in last place though that becomes 29 seasons for a full set. At the current rate of 2 seasons per year that’s 14.5 years, wow!

The leaderboards will not necessarily reflect your placement in the tournament. The leaderboard is totally separate. Example, in NA wvw, the 1st place gold league tournament winner is ranked 2nd, and the 2nd place tournament winner is ranked 1st. Where are you reading your ranking in the achievement panel btw? I can’t find it. And lastly, patience.

NA still has 3h’s left before its updated which is why they are not right.

How are the rewards nerfed?
Before this change you had to spend the badges AND the tickets.
Now you only need to spend the (same amount) of tickets.

So technically the rewards themselves have only changed in a way that makes them EASIER to obtain.

I thought that gift of heroes was supposed to be available in badges. So that it’d be a choice — get weapon with just tickets, or spend a third in tickets and the rest in gold, crystalline dust plus badges. Essentially giving low ranking servers a shot at two mistforge weapon (with winners getting a lot of them)

If this was the case, it would make so little sence for them to sell the mist forged weapons for 300 tx. No real WvW player is short tokens other than those buying gear sets for there alts or seige for commanders.

I heard from a friend it was based on what realm you did the WvW achievements and was based on which realm you did the most achievements on. I dont know if this is true, but based on what ive read it makes sence.

You will get at least a Heros weapon, however, since the start it was implied that the use of the gift of heros was not to be able to upgrade all your hero weapons in one season but to allow you to upgrade ones you already have from previous seasons. Yes it was presented very badly on the post/wiki, but I think we all knew that was not what they were planning for it. It would of made little sence.

I am going to guess it will be given at reset tonight and the vender will be with the other venders or maybe a new option with the battle historian.

I don’t really understand why all the rewards for a 9 week WvW tournament are so poor.

For 1st place you should be able to get at least one Ascended weapon, not an exotic, and have tickets left over to get something else, then they could have scaled down the rewards using that as a starting place.

The rewards are disproportionately bad considering that (1) It is a tournament, and (2) How long the tournament was.

In contrast The Tournament of Legends prizes were (for 2 days gameplay):

*1st place: Choice of Legendary (Eternity excluded), 2,000 gems, 2 Black Lion Weapon Tickets
*2nd place: Choice of Gift of Mastery or Fortune, Choice of Precursor, 800 gems, Black Lion Weapon Ticket
*3rd and 4th place: Choice of Gift of Mastery or Fortune, Black Lion Weapon Ticket
*5th through 8th place: Choice of Gift of Magic or Might, Black Lion Weapon Ticket

Maybe Anet thought it had to limit the rewards because of the number of people playing WvW is much more. But why limit it to such an extent.

I’m not suggesting giving the same rewards as the sPVP tournament, but an ascended weapon would have been more appropriate for WvW (top places), exotic for lower (rare for even lower) placement, a permanent finisher (rather than a limited one), seriously who needs more ascended mats, while they could have a least have increased the number of obsidian shards for a ticket purchase. This was my first tournament, but I don’t think I’ll bother with it again if it has the same format.

The large issue is, for a large portion, they only needed 2-5 days of work and they did not spend all 9 weeks on it. While I know it was 9 weeks of grind for me, I know it wasn’t this way for many. I would of loved say a weekly achievement that would of given a few more tickets per how your server did that week. 15 for first, 10 for 2nd and 5 for 3rd only if you did work that week.

Mistforged Hero’s weapons can either be purchased directly for tournament tickets or crafted in the Mystic Forge with:

• 1 Hero’s Weapon (100 tournament tickets)
• 1 Gift of Heroes (200 tournament tickets)
• 4 Bottles of Elonian Wine
• 10 Piles of Crystalline Dust

To clarify, we had planned for the cost of Gift of Heroes to be a combination of tickets and badges, but the item will now only cost tickets. Tournament tickets will not expire.

Do we unlock the regular skin when we buy the mistforged?

The transfer penalty is only on for the duration of the WvW tourny which ends in 10 ish days. This is to prevent people for more stacking certain servers. However, a gift of battle guy in eotm would be a good idea for next time.

My largest issue for lack of rewards is the fact I need to keep running dungons to afford all the siege I use. Yes I get donations, but not for the amount I use.

I rather like the ‘if hole, no WP’ idea. It helps the defenders get back to defend at least one round, but once a hole is breached, they dont need to worry about the 3min timer and have people suddenly flood back. For an offender, it helps drain supply when you swis cheese a keep and keep, this making them use the supply to hold the keep, not just siege the crap out of inner.

With due respect, it DOES concern me this hasn’t been resolved and the next season is about to be over. Will people this season have the same issues?
