Again, its not a reality. It wont be usable in spvp. And it wouldnt bother me because if that 5% would cause someone to beat me consecutively then i would blame it on my skill. I dont mid things that make me have to play better and improve as a player. HEck i often go into wvw with no trinkets just to force myself to play better with less errors. And trust me the stat lost from no trinkets is greater than that 5% or so. I know most players are not like me but i feel like that if they had secretly gave players weapons that added 5% damage they would never notice.

To me if i dont totally destroy a player then i may have well lost.

I wasn’t aware that the increase in stats (what like 5%) ruins w v w because the five percent completely overtakes any strategy required in wvw. Not sure what servers you guys are in but ours is pretty competitive SBI. Also skill is required especially for those just going around trying to fight someone 1v1. I can take down people with legendaries with my blue weapons 1v1. Someone can have the best gear in the game of they want. I can have slightly worse weapons but if you can outplay them, you will win. Think first, speak later

Evenly skilled opponents versus each other end in a stalemate (Double KO if you will.). Add +5% to the gear of Player 1 and he always wins. As for skill in WvW… Right now it’s setting siege in kinked up spots and portal bombing your way to victory. If you have big enough numbers then it just comes down to PvDoor in the off hours. I personally enjoy running around solo/duo and skirmishing with random opponents in WvW for more interesting fights. I already have 3 sets of Exotics on my Necro for various builds. Kinda sucks to think that the gear which was supposed to be my “end game” gear is now one to two tiers below that limit.

we dont and that applies everywhere we dont need to “pretend” . Even two players with equal skills each fight will change because everyone is different in some way and may react differently. If youre going to go this way or arguing then sure okay if we do a test of 1000 matches maybe that 5% increase will put me over by a few wins but it is negligible.

lol its almost like everyone in this thread has no idea how a company works and stays alive. I did play gw1 and i also played wow. I would like there to be only cosmetic upgrades but i knew from the start something like this would happen.
Why? because a company does not succeed if only focuses on one small playerbase. While tons of you gw1 “vets” are complaining you guys also have to know its common sense that they are not going to just make a gw1.5 with better graphics.
It needs to appeal to players from many game types not just the select few that dont want change.

Ascended gear is a new tier, whats done is done and no matter what you do it is here to stay.
Your complaints will not change what will immediately happen but may make them think twice about going to another tier beyond ascended

the exhaust stacks essentially go right through the arm. Its a pretty huge clipping issue

anyone who says mesmer isnt good really has no idea what they are saying. After all these nerfs we still ahve amazing burst/and survivability it is nonsense. I went back to my ranger for alike an hour then stoppped cause it was terrible compared to mesmer

i really want a character re-customization as well guys but for the people that are quitting until it comes out. Thats only hurting you and youre losing out on progress/gold that can be made just because you cant be the opposite gender or your face looks a bit off. Please think about that for a second. i ahve to be extremely lucky then : / i guess thats the RNG for you. I opened 70 chests got 1 of each of the shoulders, the one handed sword skin, and 2 scythes which made me get like a 10g profit. My first 50 chests i got absolutely nothing then i got 2-3 in a row with items.

the majority of people that are buying chests now are going to be losing money. Its the people that invested in them way abck when they were cheap that will turn a huge profit. I would recommend selling them soon as the prices will be dropping soon. Basically .5% of people will get rich from this, a few will make some gold and the rest will make some silver/break even

i feel like the chance of badges dropping is relative to how much damage you deal. Because I get around 30-60 badges every hour or 2

for the people arguing that it should have exotic stats. If you have that much gold anyways to buy it for 119g then odds are you can afford a full set of 80 exotic armor.

A entire set of 80 exotic armor is under 20g

yes its 119g but whats the fun when everyones running around with it? Not everyone will have it. Its supposed to take time dont be so impatient and save. Oh and this is my t3 not a fan of the mask since it looks like a rawhide mask

^longbow is superior in most wvw situations because of its utility and aoe cripple/dmg
i switch to shortbow when im roaming the map so i dont get messed up 1v1 but clearly if you have played ranger you would know that taking up traps instead of your stunbreaks/survival/ensnare ability cuts your survival by a huge margin. Unlike your warrior in a 2 sec stun we are instagibbed. Arrows are dodgeable and people complaining about longbow having range……… the projectile seriously is a joke to avoid. especially at the range where it even does more than a shortbow. Berserker gear has better burst potential than rampager gear as well.

Clearly the longbow is not designed for spvp use as most engagements end up being withing 1000 range essentially always. Just how most of the maps are built.

yeah ive played agianst so many invis armies that i just get used to where invisible enemies should be and aoe. Works for me 99% of the time. You learn to predict where players are going to be.

if you dont use longbow in wvw idk what youre even doing as a ranger

Tonight was the most fun ive had in WvW since day 1. Eb tonight felt like the Alamo seriously. I wish all fights were like this even though we are down at the moment i dont even mind. Anyone else agree?

It’s fine, I have screenshots along with 40 other people from JQ who saw a thief with [PRX] tags run off with the orb. I would also question your memser as well. While yes the outer wall was down for a while and a mesmer got inside. Putting a portal on the inside of water gate while your zerg was able to use the portal from the outside when the gate was still intact is an exploit in my eyes, but ultimately poor design.

@PRX:
You guys got slaughtered in the water and didn’t even get a quarter of your forces out of the water. Yet you were able to take the orb. It’s only a matter of time until they fix this issue and make it so you can’t use a portal when it’s inside a wall. The only way you can hang on to the lead is by using exploits. Really sad.

They just keep giving discredit to themselves and their server.

Honestly pls go. PRX did not do any exploits. Are you aware that a gate can be repaired to 1hp and reappear looking brand new again?

If what you say is true and isnt just blatant trolling and hate. This goes for all large guilds. It is impossible to know if one of the 400+ members has a cheating mentality. If one person exploits or whatever that in no way means the entire guild is. Essentially i could say that your entire server are a bunch of cheaters/hackers/exploiters because a few people are doing it.

i am aware of everything people are saying i probably wouldnt complain if pet ai was better and more responsive. The f2 skill is essentially non responsive and involves hitting my keybind multiple times in order for it to go off even when the pet is on the target. It really makes no sense. You people are talking to me like i ahve no idea how to play a ranger. For the person that said you can bring someone down from 100-0 in 3 secs you obviously dont play a ranger or your target was not a lvl 80. Rapid fire is allright with quickness but in no way will it kill anyone with quickness even with the barrage combo. Especially if the other player knows how to play defensively. Ive tried immobilize chains with pets/muddy terrain. In the 4-5 secs they are immobilized even with a shortbow and strafe bleeding i can get someone down maybe 1/2 way if they are heavy armor. Maybe at max range with a longbow with barrage/rapidfire quickening and the target not moving you can bring someone down to 0 but if they are moving good luck with that

I love ranger I have 300 hours logged onto it but im reading some threads about waarior hitting 14k with killshot and thieves backstabbing for 12k and people say they normally crit for 6-8k.
So where was ranger dps? I honestly have no trouble in spvp and wvw but okay I use my longbow. I Am full exotics best in slot everything with 109 crit damage with food. Im running with berserkers so im essentially full glass canon yet the largest crit ive had at max range was maybe 4-5k and tbh it probably wasnt even a lvl 80.
Against a lvl 80 light armor i crit high 3k’s and against heavy armor it goes down to around 2.8k. And all the same while the projectiles are easy to dodge, they are slow firing and you need to be far away.
Okay for shortbow sure i do 4-600 dmg white hits to the avg lvl 80 with my crits going up to 1.2-1.6k i understand that 1.2k I know sb is better for condi but seriously where is ranger damage.
I understand that range should recieve a a penalty for the amount of dmg they deal because they are ranged and melee have to get in close. But when someone can crit on avg 2x my highest crit at optimal range and ahving the target stationary is a bit suspect…..

There is some clipping issues with the Tier 3 Human Medium armor. It is mostly while idle and most of them are rather distracting, there is also one while running that is quite annoying.

I highlighted the clipping in the red circles in the following screens, I hope you don’t mind the multiple screens, I also model 3d in my spare time in blender, and fixing clipping always took some time, so giving as much information as possible where the issues are located seemed the best idea.

This armor was worn with Body 2.

If im paying 119g for the t3 armor i wish at the very least that this armor doesnt have any graphical errors. Please fix the part that I circled. It happens whenever the character is idling and is an eyesore.

the only problem i have with the pet is that it takes like 5 secs of spamming the f2 skill for it to actually work. even when the pet is on a stationary target. if they fix this then i am happy

if someone allows another person 1v1 to kill them within 5-10 secs they are definitely doing something wrong

if you ahve one on a warhorn and another on a sword or axe can both abilities proc back to back?

it makes a huge difference. When i was lvl 30-40 i was doing a few hundred damage and crit for maybe 1k and now at 80 i do upwards of 5k damage crits

did you sbi remember last week what eb and hod borderlands looked like? Hod only had the starting zone and sbi had the castle and hod control points were legit split between you two

as a ranger i spent like 60% with my sb and 40% with warhorn/axe idk what youre talking about

are you serious…. roots are amazing you are most likely doing it wrong

honestly i feel rangers are allright. I play sb condi with axe/warhorn with the traits 5/30/30/0/5 with if you trait correctly rangers can escape fairly well and maintain distance with sb cripple/stun. You just need to learn to confuse the other player with erratic movements and get behind them. If youre just playing in lobby games most of those player keyboard turn or dont play with high sensitivity mouses so you can essentially run circles around them. Dont forget basically all the sb skills help you break away from other players even the evade shot. Dont blow all your cds when you first see a player i see so many rangers pop zephyr while the other player usually just pops his defensive cds.
-I usually crossfire/poison then use the bleed signet/skill w/e its called to throw on stacks.
-At this point they usually blow cds or heals. Alot of times when you stun them or even cripple an amateur player they pop their cds.
-After the cds are done thats when you pop Zephyr
-also i usually start off with axe/warhorn first give myself the buff then horn the birds then slow followed with the close range split axe throw with bleed signet before switching to sb. By this time they most likely wasted cds and thats when you just faceroll them with the sb

Mesmers are annoying just because my build doesnt let me have piercing arrows and the clones get in the way often
same with guardians but guardians cant kill you unless you dont know how to kite of know when to run
warriors are easy to kite
thieves unless they are good play extremely stupidly and are easy to kite and predict. (esp heartseeker spam just lol @ that build seriously)

just bought a sword off the ah earlier and im having a great time with it. I dont have auto attack off and the leap away if you know how to use it well is amazing for wvw fights as you can create huge distance by using the 2 skill then untargeting and using the skill again in the direction you want to move. Then you can switch to your bow again rinse and repeat. People that say it roots you turning off autoattack is key. you can stop yourself from doing certain aniumations and it will allow you to adjust to situations better. Just takes more practice to do well.

i legit make 10g+ a day from just farming i dont know how you guys are having trouble making 5g. Just salvage items and sell ecto……

please i agree with op even a 30 sec to 1 min grace period. My internet is shaky at times and when im waiting an hour in q just to get dropped within 15 mins of joining its really upsetting

Warhorn axe is getting fairly boring and i want to try out the sword. Whats your guys take on the 1h sword. I feel like it could be give some kind of stun. And the way the roll venom attack works causes it to miss 90% of the time.

As a player from HoD im glad to hear that not everyone just complains, I was playing most of the week and beside a couple times SBI were really holding their ground. It was just the 1-2 day period monday and tues that really put us in the lead. For example yesterday night was the mokittenn ive had in WvW for a long time because of how aggressive you guys were

LoL this is a joke right? HoD got smacked around so hard for 3 days straight when the server rematched happened in the weekend. TA is crap… I see guilds like PRX, RMA , Armata, TRG… getting steam rolled by puggers smaller than what they run out in the field. You might be organized as a whole alliance etc or server… but to kid yourself that all the Asian/Oceanic or whoever is doing your nightcapping is saving your sorrykitten from falling of your high horses. So until TA can prove they can win without all them nightcappers over the weekdays yeah you guys are nothing but a big joke with just a lot of people.

Lets face the facts that your prime-time is mediocre at best. I find it kinda funny a lot of the HoD prime-time people take all the credit away from the very people that are making you guys the number one server…which is the absurd amount of asian/oceanic players you have in WvW when majority of the players are asleep. Infact the guilds that aren’t even in TA are probably the most organized out of all HoD.
