Guild Wars 2

I know people were moving away from Alliance hall areas and I’m unsure if someone suggested this, but why not take a part of the earlier discussion in? If alliances have a cap on how many guilds can be in them, say….five. Each guild has some tech or room that makes a contribution to the hall, and the sum of said contributions are used to make it. Like say, a 5x Weaponmaster guild alliance hall or a 3x Weaponmaster 2x Armorer or what have you. With each ‘tier’ from 1-5 having some attribute to it. Leave the alliance? Join a new one? That alliance base gets it. Something like that could be a solid foundation.

zenleto, as Tyria evolves they’ve found a new magical bank system where all your currency stuff automatically and magically will be sent to (because they thought all these various and heaps of different currencies are too much of a hassle for the poor adventurers). Despite being magical (and Tyrian.. something like “human”) doesn’t always mean everything and everyone is considered adequately and as the magic has boundaries the downside is all your characters have to share the same pool where to store and get their needed currencies from.
I really hope you’ll find a way to accept what now sounds game breaking for you.

The guild bank is definitely an idea to keep only a certain stipend but I gotta ask… WHY is this a gamebreaker? Why not just….not use the cash you didn’t earn with that character? I am genuinely curious, as I cannot see how your fun is impacted by this in any way?

Its just a “thing”. Everyone has one, this one is mine. I can’t really explain it more than that.

Yes, I know they use the word and have referred to them but there has never been an actual horse in either game.

Now I’m one of the first in line to comment on the flaws in the personal story and lack of long term accomplishment in WvW, among other things, but… Have you PLAYED an MMO? Heck even on these forums there are people who feel entirely unable to complete content because their precious mainhand weapon can’t do it on its own and they literally never tried any weapons after they got it. MMO communities are the very definition of complacent gaming syndrome and I can basically guarantee half of them would never even notice WvW EXISTED if they didn’t have their noses shoved straight into it.

With how well this is going I’m glad I slipped in on the ground floor.

See my last post above yours, I don’t ignore that they are in game. I think you’ll find that you are the one ignoring that regardless of where they are RNG is RNG.

For those who are still having issues I’ll explain,
RNG in the MMO sence stands for Random Number Generator, and is used to describe a chance (usually very slim such as 0.001% chance) to attain an item/reward.
A RNG is a number/loot reward picked by the servers in as random a fashion as a computer can make it as possible. If the GIANT PRESENT BOXES drop them it’s still a chance to obtain not a guarantee. A chance to obtain therefore still falls under the umbrella term of RNG.

True but my impression was that the main complaint was that you needed to do Gem RNG. To those who are against random at all, I can understand your point of view, though it’s not personally relevant to me.
I do think they should have been in the cash shop if at all, but I also think there should be SOME things that are rare holiday wise. I think the Hallowe’en pseudolegends were a good way to do it but that’s me.

And then you can replay them again (presumably) every day until the third to get more.

Really? I was under the impression that I was responding to the 2 of 5 comment from him, and also mentioned there is a (still annoyingly RNG) way to get the festives in game as well.
I really wish people wouldn’t try to counter arguments when they have no idea what they are talking about.

If we could make them all why bother putting them in the gemstore?…. He is here for twenty… but after you beat the dungeon once, you don’t get the components again for subsequent completions… instead you get Wintersday gifts and what not.

Evidence that this isn’t daily, like EVERY OTHER DUNGEON?
Additionally, this is PRECISELY what people asked for. “Give us both cash shop and event methods to get holiday stuff”.
What we really need here is some actual direct Anet clarification of an ambiguous answer.

45 characters is the maximum length for a topic title on the forums. It is this way to prevent titles from being cut off when viewing a thread. This is not a bug, this is by design.

Mark, I believe he meant that that would make one unable to physically put in more characters, rather than getting an error message after trying to post. Would be more convenient for posters, et cetera. Still wouldn’t be able to put in any more characters.

This, a million times this. Heck, even make it a darn Mystic Forge recipe if you must, using the item some coins and the Transmutation Stones. I’ll STILL do it.

Apparently the damage can be blocked by invulnerability even if the CONDITION can’t be cancelled, and the moves themselves can be evaded?
As said I’m fuzzy on the details so if I’m wrong I welcome any corrections (none of ‘em are on right now).
Either way it’s nice to see someone who has (presumably) ENCOUNTERED Agony weigh in rather than a bunch of people who seem to have quit as soon as it was released, if not before.

Grain of salt since this is guildies not myself (I haven’t gone past Fractals 2), but they say that 8 of the 9 Fractals agony is a highly telegraphed boss move that you can skill your way around without significant issue. They’re also psychos who are much better than me, and at least one Fractal IS BS resist required, but I can’t help but note that the people who actually reach that tier tend not to find Agony too devastating even without any Ascendeds.
Flip side, the kind of people who get to high tiers are the kind who also like treadmills overall, most likely.

Good tips, but you do have a point about norn and charr. The worst bit for me is that clusterkitten after the wall collapses and it’s like releasing the bulls of Pamplona. Once that’s weeded out the chaff, past the small square you’re laughing usually.

I’d just like to say that for once the curse filter is correct. “Clusterkitten” is EXACTLY what happens there. Darn Charr.
