Incorrect. A mystic forge stone replaces as a RANDOM item of the same quality of weapon/armour in the forge. The stone requires the other three items to be the SAME COLOURED tier to work. Thus the forge stone will not work in a mix of coloured items in the forge. The stone does not know what it’s replacing, giving it the randomness it has.
Not sure if most of you “anti-skippers” have noticed but a lot of skipped content actually pop up on your screen saying “BONUS EVENT”. And it’s just that. The bridge in cof 1 that everyone skips is OPTIONAL as confirmed by anet themselves. Same as the troll in AC. Kohler however is not a bonus event and is in fact part of the runs. Although anet has also confirmed that YOU DO NOT HAVE TO DO IT if you don’t want to. Thus the door is already open for you to continue on your merry way.
There will never be a “fix” for this because its not broken. It’s not an exploit. It’s you playing how you want to play.

If you were on my server then I would just run through the puzzle and port you up. If you time it correctly (depending on when their mesmers port their server players up) you can get the chest without them knowing.
I have actually done the JP with opposing server players before. It happens. I’m not trying to muddy this up or start a 10 page debate but here are the facts:
1) My server owned the area
2) I was by myself
3) I took no aggressive stance when I saw the enemy
4) I was knocked back before I was even in range to attack
5) There were 30 people directly below where I got knocked off
6) They attacked me as soon as I hit the water… ALL 30 OF THEM
7) I was dead in no time
8) I was not a threat, they had the numbers
9) The JP does NOT contribute to the WvW score or give any tactical advantage on the battlefield

Gord, you are not understanding… You are NOT entitled to do the JP whenever you WANT. There is no rule on what people are doing to you so posting on this forum is getting you nowhere.
You need to take the advice some people have said. Leave and come back later when it’s free. The devs are not going to kick the SoS out of the map so you can do the jumping puzzle so just stop now mate honestly.

This is called protecting a jumping puzzle so you cannot finish it for whatever reason you may have. That is the whole point of PvP. Anet did not put these puzzles in WvW so you could waltz on in any time of the day you want and finish the puzzle whilst whistling a tune and going uncontested. If this was the case they would have put them in PvE. The idea is to lock down the area then your server has control. It’s a reward. NOT a right. No one HAS to let you do the puzzle. End of story.
You either have to grab a group of people to take over the puzzle and the area or come back later when you have control. Same goes with the EB puzzle.

Then how do you explain the Lemons, the power boosters and whatnot, stuff that is account bound or not even obtainable? How were you able to place offer for those since they couldn’t be sold in the first place?
Judging by your logic, someone has already sold Twilight on Trading Post in order for those players to put up offers for it. But for that guy to have sold Twilight, someone else must have done it before him. So who did it first when no one else offered the weapon? It makes no sense mate.
And i don’t know. I tried putting up my Sunrise (just as a test) a week or so ago, and it did not work. I still find it a big waste to trade Legendaries on Trading Post…

Not once did you state that you were offering 100 GW1 gold. Thus posting on GW2 forums implies that you mean the respective games currency.
And whilst there is in fact no contract involved your offer is still in fact in writing. So dont pull the legal stunt there.

Anet basically gave us a free achievement with this one but was still great fun. I’ve completed it about 20 times to farm the chest at the end.
While it is a great idea its also very helpful to botters and gold sellers.
Farm for gold > transfer gold to gems > gift gems to go undetected as a gold seller.
I can see why this feature is not in the game.

Dungeons work like dailies. For me they, like every other daily task they reset 11am AEDST. Once a day each path gives you 60 tokens. Running the same paths on an alt counts as a first time as well. Think of the limit as soul bound rather than account bound. On that note there IS an amount of time in between running the same path on 2 different toons. Doing cof 1 back to back on different toons will hit dr for the second run. Spacing them out will not. Thus there are 2 types of dr. Once a day dr and, we’ll dub it, character to character dr. Or “too quick on your alt”. Hope this helped. Oh also this was told in an official post on the most recent big dungeon update.
Ok, this is a tricky one.
A friend of mine has had no internet for a couple of weeks. Just recently he had gotten it back, probably the last 2 weeks.
Just the other day, probably 4-5 days ago i noticed he logged into GW2 so i tried to /w him, inv to party but i got no response so i gathered he was busy or afk. I tried to talk to him yesterday again. No response.
Just tonight i noticed something strange. He was going back and forth from Cursed Shore to Frostgorge. And still wasn’t responding. So i decided to talk to him on facebook and sure enough, he has no access to his account anymore and it has been compromised.
Fair enough you might say, easy fix just submit a ticket. Ok, he has just done that very recently, in the last 10 minutes. The concern he has is that he cannot find any trace of his serial key. No email with it, nothing. So he wrote in the serial box that he does not have.
I am sure there has to be some other way he can prove it’s his account. Payment details etc… Just wondering what the chance of getting his account back is without his serial code.

The only problem with massive scale PvP like WvW is that instead of the opposite team having 5-10 players that are crying and butthurt, theres now thousands that will conjure up any sort of excuse or reason to make the winning server look bad, lucky & just plain undeserving.
Last week we only won because of the one time event apparently, this week we are cheaters because we get into spawn areas and “grief”. Does it ever stop? Look out guys, the whole nightcapping thing might come back!
If you want to win, play better, stop making other servers look bad lol.

Ive been here for about 20 minutes trying to get recognition so i can proceed in the chain and he was working for about 10 mins now his guards are there and he’s just disappeared.

You have to remember it’s a video game. When someone trains mobs onto you they are not punching your sister or cutting off your finger. They are having a laugh at the expense of your online character.
Sure, if this group found you everyday and did things to you its worth your time to get some help about it, but not because they trained some mobs onto you and you died. You could have easily run away with them and avoided the mob until they de-aggroed. A lot smarter than staying in the same place and trying to fight them haha.
Yes, i agree completely with the whole respect thing but, If someone whispered me to dob on someone for training mobs onto them i’d laugh hysterically.
This post has nothing to do with etiquette, its just you complaining about training mobs. I suggest you brush it off and give it a laugh and either find some friends to play with so you dont get totaled by a bunch of mobs or you simply avoid areas where you cannot handle a large group. Its a game.
Yeah i understand your points clear as day and i can see why you are so frustrated.
I know its 4.40am where you are now :p but i fail to see what you mean by “its more than just they can cause its the internet”. I believe thats it done and dusted. They are (probably mainly) casual kids who have no respect for the community people are trying to build within the game to make it a great place for most, no respect for people taking their time to do so, and no loyalty or respect to the group they play with. They don’t follow the guild rules and get spoken to? “Oh its ok it’s a game on the internet, eff this guy, i can say what i want to him and get away with it”.
Thats the way i see that problem anyway. You have those guys everywhere though, in every team/group orientated game.
But, for everyone of those guys im sure you have 10 more loyal, respectful, friendly guildies with you who love to play under your name cause you do sound like a guy who cares about his guild.
BUT, i also agree that there is no incentive for someone to commit. Unless of course they are high ranked or favourable within the guild. Ahh but maybe there is. People to play with, a group to chat with etc. But then it flies back to “oh i can do that with any group”.
I’m part of a great, massive Oceanic guild on Sea of Sorrows and i believe the feature to actually be quite useful. The guild is that big now that it actually spans across 3 guild groups and over 900 members. Its great for the leader to be able to switch between all of them and organize meets, events and check up on everyone. Its also great for the top ranking members of the guild who also help lead as well.
I get where you’re coming from completely though. But not everyone is like the guy in your example I, for instance, am apart of 3 guilds. 1 for my real life buddies, another for the forum community im apart of and the main in game guild i represent.
I almost always rep my main guild although its great to be able to pop in and see whats up with some mates or see whats going down within my community.
Like most things its a 2 sided coin, and with all due respect its not breaking the game like some other things. It’s not going to be a priority and i dare say that it will never be taken out. A guild will always be your selection of a group of loyal, fair, friendly players that everyone gets along with and there will always be the odd handful who leave and disrespect anyone because its the internet and they can.

Facebook has a “real person” policy. If your account does not represent a real person it’s deleted, and the userbase is encouraged to find and report such accounts. So no, you cannot make an account called “Guild WarsFan”
Incorrect. There are numerous accounts i’ve seen with names that aren’t real people, hell i’ve even changed my name before. You can also put your name as any other name you like such as “John Smith” so don’t go trying that one on me cause there are many ways around it.

The thing is, people who use these sites they post on heavily outweigh the minority that don’t.
They’re not going to stop posting on other sites because 15 people agree they shouldn’t on a thread. There was a very early thread about scamming of some sort and a dev responded to someones question asking if this can be reported in the report feature as ‘scamming’ and he replied with a solid ‘yes’ that that is in fact scamming. Whether they chase it up or not i don’t know.
Race change is not impossible due to story.
Once you have COMPLETED the story the story becomes irreverent to your character.
Its a simple fix of changing the story log on your character. The race missions of the story are like 6 or so missions long. Its definitely not a big thing to change.
So i have 3 total runes of the mesmer on my armour, so stat bonuses should show 3/6.
My armour is actually showing when hovered 8/6 runes and the text is red. The stat bonuses are also highlighted to show they’re active. I dont have 8 runes let alone 6.

As of right now, after reading this WHOLE THREAD, I am not logging in until dungeons are fixed and future patches are better.
At the moment the repair and travel fees outweigh the end reward, the loot is terrible and the fact that there is a cap to slow grinding is disgusting. If i want to spend a whole day off work grinding a dungeon i can. It makes me sick being penalized for being a dedicated player of the game and wanting to earn gold FAIRLY (im sorry but its not like any of us are hacking, exploiting, botting, gold spamming etc) by running dungeons that were OBVIOUSLY MADE to be run many many times. Its ridiculous.
