My Server (Aba – EU) was always about Rank 8 – 16 since the launch of the game and we had a stable population of wvw-players.

All guilds left and i don t expect them to come back.

Even linking would not revive us. It will always only a zombie.

Since update Melee classes were destroyed in large scale fights. So people don t run melee anymore.
But the most guilds were running melee so it s no surprise no guilds are left.

And why u sure that the other new legendarys need also AG?

Perhaps they need 10000 Silver ore to craft something similar. Or they need 5000 T5 material for example.

Wanze, i I agree with u most of the time, but not with nightfury.
During the festival nightfury cost were much to high (over 3000G), so many people who wanted this unique skin didn t buy anything.
Now the price for crafting is going down (~1000 G) where it come back in focus of many players.
I think when the crafting cost further going down, the demand for “Tattered Bat Wing” and “Unopened Endless Bottle of Batwing Brew” could be raising.

I dont doubt that there are quite a few investors in quartz, I am one of them, but to believe a single player bought the majority of the 7 million quartz form the tp over the last 3 1/2 months, is simply ridiculous.

There have been many sinks added without a doubt. But to deny that even 30k gold is some insurmountable amount to invest for a few people is naive. A couple whales working together could get that easy. A single one could. Heck, you wanze could have moved this your self if you cashed out a bunch of other investments.

The thing that tells me it is an intentional movement of the market price as opposed to a natural upswing is the pace of the sales I got. Especially when it was moving from 40c(my lowest listings) to 1s it would go in spurts of a few copper at a time. Each one of those was a mass buy out not natural sales. If they were simple, normal usage i would have sold all of the ones at 55c one day and then a few days later the 56c listing would sell. I wouldn’t have been looking at my recently sold tab and seen listings sold for 55c, 56c, 57c, 58c all over a short amount of time. Not with the tens of thousands that were sitting at each price point.

To be clear I never said a single player, but a single player could do it. I know of a handful of people who have over 100k gold and I am not that well connected. Whether this would be a wise investment, for a single player, of that much gold is debatable but make no mistake about it a single player could easily pull it off.

Even regular consumers usually buy in bulk, at least 1 stack, they dont buy 25 each day just because they only need 25 each day. Some propably buy the 2500 they need for a full set at once. Now i dont know how much listings you had at every value but they would have to be substancial, about 50k or so, in order for you to determine, if those 50k were bought out by a whale or just a bunch of consumers that bought multiples of 250 each.

Your listings at 40c disappeared back in november, your listings between 55c-60c disappeared in january. Any data on the last 3 months, where the bulk of the supply went?

I know i checked my sales on celestial gossamer insignias over the last 4 months (took me around 3 hours to count this afternoon) and i sold insignias worth over 2.5 million quartz each month, 86% of those sales were single recipes, which indicates that they were bought by consumers, not investors.

For me, thats a huge indicator that the demand for quartz is in fact substantially higher than the mere 7 million we lost over the last 4 months. We propably consumed hundreds of millions of quartz since the start of the year.

My investment in quartz/charged sheets of ambrite/celestial recipes is propably around 3-4k gold with an actual lowest listing value around 5 times that high now.

Might sound much to some people but in the end, its just enough to cover the global demand for a couple of hours.

Anyways, if you think general demand in the last couple of months came mostly from investors, you are foolish to buy quartz now. If you think demand came from consumers, you better stock up now.

Wanze, u r market description about 3 month ago was ingenious and the market had behaved like u r predicted.

I read all the answers and in my mind the demand came from consumers.

1. Anet want to strengthen the condition meta. Many players have already one or more berserker gear and now make some condition gear as an alternative.

2. Introducing the new class “revenant” in the beta.

3. The rumor (or is it fact?) that the condition cap of 25 will be increase with HoT.

Never thought of it that someone could use the TP pick up tab as storage.

But it s a cheap possibilty to store a huge amount of things with a alt account.

I was not aware that this item is limited like the passion fruit.

This limitation and the new Revenant class could be the reason for that.

Where did all this crystal dissapear since mid January?

At first i suppose this is market manipulation, but i think the amount are to much for this.

About 7.000.000. are gone with an average price of 0.90 S, this would be 63.000 Gold,
28.000 stacks or 1400 full 20" bags.
To much for that i think.

Second thought was, perhaps it is needed for something to craft like the “grow lamp” for mawdrey, but the amount is much to high for that and most of the players allready have this item.

When i join a group and leave this group the game still says i m in this group even when no other player displayed on the left side.

Can t join any other group because it says “i m already in a group”.

Log in and out won t change this, i m still in this “invisible” group.

The problem is not that we r unable to adapt to a new meta.
We can of course use a new race/build/stats what so ever.

The problem is that it is NO FUN when 2 Zergs fire at each other with ranged weapons.

Ranged fights, there will be no winner.
And u can rezz u r teammate easy and there will be no loot bags for all.

What good is wvw when it s boring and the small loot will get even smaller?

Before the patch a good team could cut a even 2 times bigger zerg in pieces, but day 1 after the patch it s over.

5 times wipe because stability was gone in 0,5sek and after that → r.i.p.

It was clearly said from the wvw – experts before the patch, that if the remove of stability is to easy, the whole wvw will change.

And here we go and it will getting much much more boring.

Bottom lane failed again.
Even when we let the devourer (with ammo) die, the new one can t destroy the last wall.

I tryed for 30min to do the achievements for Toycapolypse.

11 players who do nothing (kicked after a while)

Working great, much better than last year where i join with friends, do my achievements and have fun.

The LFG-Tool rolled out on September 23, 2013. They only had 14 1/2 month time for such a complex tool who can display text ingame – isn t that great.
Well we had 2 CoD, 2 BF and other stuff during that time, but the QA of Anet is tough and they don t let it pass until it s perfect.

And don t forget it s still a beta, perhaps a late Alpha and they still testing what so ever.

LFG Tool – it’s mystery is only exceeded by it’s power

Good:

Bought 100.000 passion fruit for about 0,15-0,25 s and 1 month later sold it for 1,00-1,70 s.

Bought 250 Exos with the Superior Rune of Strength for about 0,7-1,5 g, salvaged it, got 1 or 2 ektos and the Rune and sell them later for about 14-15 g.

Bad:

Bought 250.000 piece of candy corn pre Halloween-Event for 0,5 s and they drop actually to 0.13 S.

It s like the real economy, sometimes u r lucky and sometimes not.
But gambling is a part of the game and i m addicted to it.

Anet still working on important patches for bugs like

I tried really hard to join a taxi for sw for my daily events for about 10 min.

I joined:

2 x Arah Story group
1 x LS group
4 x group looking for a taxi to SW
2 x tequ taxi
3 x ascalon path 3
1 x CoF path 1

After that i get this lovely message “you joined too many parties”.

But i know it s a test. Don t know for what, but i m sure it s a test. It must be a test.

I think this is a test for eye-hand coordination.
The one who can still hit the right button more than 2 times getting hired by the CIA.
All others will going blind after 2 weeks.

By the way, i nominate this patch for the “most bugged patch 2014” trophy.

The problem of this event is not the farm of the chest to get loot or the effect to the TP.

The real problem is, that 95% of the player base is right now farming and do nothing else.

-U want a group for COF/Ascalon/…. —> wait 30+ min for full.
- U want help for some vista points or events in the cursed shore —> u r all alone.
- U want the achivements for perhaps indigo? forget it.
- It even affects wvw, because it s hard to resist so much loot.

Conclusion: Area with 0,001% of the whole game attract 95% of the player base.

My opinion: They will fix it very fast, perhaps tomorrow, because it affects to much the whole game.

Perhaps u r right and only the popular dyes raised over the previous level, but i think it s only because the stock of the unidentified dyes still to big.

I believe when the “BLK-farming” getting nerfed, the stock of the unidentified dyes drop further down and then the price of almost every dye will go up.

But i don t understand why nearly all dyes rise since June 2014?
Price manipulation or something else?

I always ask myself what would happen when most of the popular dyes are gone?

My last drop of a Unidentified Dye was 1 week before the patch and after that the price crash.

It s not only the unidentified dyes that skyrocket, look at Abyss, celestial or Black.

Even “low” dyes going from 10S to 1Gold.

If u buy 100 unidentified Dyes, open it and get only 1 Abyss u made about 13Gold.

Don t blame Gandara for loosing the fight, they have nothing to do with it.

Yesterday i played for 2 hours on AM and we fight against heavy Gandara zergs AND as well Piken Zergs.
For example we try to capture the Piken Garrison (after we capture the Gandara) and fight in front with Piken when a massive Blob of Gandara came behind us and try to kill us.
Gandara is very clever to stay away from the fight and let do us the work for them and right before the Champion they try to roll over us and have a easy win with minimum loss.

Over the whole week our nightcap was great (Perhaps the best in SL) and piken can t get away much during the day time. Balancing our server population is the real trick.

Heavyweight goes over 12 Rounds, and AM save all for the last 3 or 4 Rounds to knock out the enemy.

On the last 2 or 3 days for example, i sometimes saw more heavy golems @ spawn as players.

We r not nuts to think we can stand against Gandara over the whole week, so we concentrate on the second place, that s the only point.

The players realize after the patch, that the nerf of the crit. damage is much more than expected.

Perhaps pure power builds with might stacking could be the next meta. Who knows.

But the raise is impressive.

In zerg fights i will replace the grenade kit with the flamethrower. Not the best choice i know, but the one with the most fun.

Perhaps after the nerf of the crit. damage, the new meta build could be pure-power build with might-stacking (love the new Superior Rune of Strength).

The second sigil i will try force or fire (100% crit after patch – i think).

And i hope it s true, that they make the kits ascended in the next few weeks.

The imbalance is produced by the free transfers.
Gandara had 16th place 14.03. , now 10th.

Like “Dayra” said, ANET should had known, that free transfer only one week before the league started, it is to short for balance the ranking.

I hope they don t nerf it, but since they crashed my FotM-lvl into the ground, i don t trust ANET anymore.

I will not grind for a complete new set (ascended) for 3 chars for another 6 months.

I play Zerker furthermore. When it s getting too weak, i m out of the game.

I think, the anger is not only about the reducing from 80/50 to 30, it s only the last piece in a row time where the FotM – community get a slap in the face from the Devs.

The community ask nearly ONE year for many things:

bug-fixing, new lvl, shorten the drege, let display the AR for the group, possibility to choose the FotM-Weapons instead to get one we don t want, let us buy usefull things with the relics, change the instance-opener-system, more loot/gold for the amount of time for high-lvl runs, and many many more.

What do the community get? NOTHING

They changed the dungeons, they changed the open world, they changed PvP/WvW, they even changed crafting, but nothing for FotM.

And now, ANET announced ONE week before the patch, something so drastic.

Why lvl up to 80 when there is nothing better?

Because it is/was the hardest content of the game for top PVE players.

Personally i only do lvl 28/38 or 48 (depends on how many time i had) one or two times the week, but facing lvl50+ is the hardest u can do in PVE. Arah is a joke against FotM lvl50+.

But the community should get over it. Only another hard slap in the face, but we will bearing it again.
