If you got a bit of a long list of authorised networks (see under “My Account”, “security”) you can remove them. Then when you log in again, it will give the option of remembering any and all networks from then on. I did this today, bit of piece of mind about security.
It may be worth checking spam folder in your email program as CS might have removed the authenticator linked to the phone. You can also check this under “My Account” tab on the site.
But as above, you won’t need authenticator codes for networks that have been authorized and remembered.
Well I reckon they won’t punish you again for the same report as it were. They’ve already punished you for it after all. This is however my opinion and I have nothing to back it up, but I believe they are fair with the punishments they hand out and hitting someone twice for the same lapse seems unfair.
The only way I know of this hanging over you is the degrading flag system, but this will fade eventually so long as you don’t slip again.
As a little side note, I believe they are more strict towards language abuses when in map/say chat, rather then party/guild chat. Direct msgs are of course another, and worse, thing entirely.
You will need to contact support and make a ticket. Click on the support tab above the logo on the top left of the page. Give as much detail you can in the description and answer as many security questions as you can to make it easy on them to confirm and locate the account.
I believe they have been able to help people who’ve had similar problems, so best of luck and hope it gets sorted.
That would be something only the Support staff would know. But, usually, suspensions are per instance. One would serve a 3-day ban for a first offense that is actioned, longer for a second offense (if within a certain time period), more for a third, up to, and including, a permanent ban for continuing to disregard the ToS.
This. I believe there is a degrading flag system in place that, after a certain amount of time, will mean a “slate-wiped-clean” scenario, but don’t quote me on this.
The ToS and EUAs are considered your first warning, so a 72 hours ban is usually the first length of suspension, increasing by a defined amount each time a report comes up, up until a pre-defined limit where it will be permanent.
I believe they use a common sense policy when it comes to language, and usually let the small slip slide, but heavy abuse tends to warrant action as you’ve found out.
Simple answer, keep your nose clean, stick to the rules and try to keep the language coming out your mouth (unless playing with a mic ) rather then through the fingertips.
Support are the only ones who can help, so tickets are the way to go. Remember to give it 72 hours before posting again if you’ve not heard or you want Gaile to try and review it.
Also, keep in mind that the account may have been suspended/terminated for something that happened some time ago, as they don’t auto-ban and very rarely ban on the same day as receiving a flag on an account.
Hope this gets sorted for you all soon in a good way!
As said, you’ll need to contact support and create a ticket. Give as much info as you can in regards to serial number, card used for any payments etc, and make sure description is clear about the problem.
I had this problem last week and it got turned around within 17 minutes of making ticket. They’ll just unlink it from their end and you’ll be able to just link it as new to the new phone.
Take note though, that if you post the ticket numbers, and you were found to be at fault, even after a review by Gaile, then the accounts will remain banned.
However, if you can prove to ANet that you were hacked, or that you unwillingly had third-party programs interfering with the game, then maybe something can be done. But this is me just speculating though, as forum members, myself included, know nothing of your situation.
Customer Support and Gaile will do what they can, but their final answer is just that, FINAL.
Tickets can take UP TO 72 hours to be responded to, but usually it’s faster then this. Make sure to check spam folder etc just in case.
Hope your issue gets sorted
I assume that you mean suspensions here.
So by that, I assume that you have been suspended twice and are still suspended now (either still on second or on a new, third, suspension). The suspensions themselves scale in time, so the second will be longer then the first. This might be why you are still suspended now when, the first time, it was over by now.
By “support a lot” comment, I’m assuming that means you support the game via buying gems etc. ANet tends not to give out “evidence” of a suspension, in case it reveals any type of hacks or exploits to anyone else.
As for been hacked yourself; if you did nothing to deserve the suspension(s) then you need to create a ticket with support, asking for help in regards to the suspension(s) and possibly for advice with account security on your end, i.e. email and PC security.
You can contact support by clicking on the support tab at the top of the page.
I think the gem cost of transferring increases depending on how full the server you want to transfer to is. Also, not too sure if there might still be a time restraint on swapping, or this may have been removed now.
But yeah, if you haven’t progressed too far with your character(s), it may be easier, and free, to delete your character(s) and transfer for free. Though remember to put any account bound items, crafting items etc into your bank, as these will transfer with you. Any soul bound items will be lost though i’m afraid.
Yeah I had issues with this. The only way to get it sorted is through a support ticket. Just fill out all the information you can in the ticket, serial code, character name etc etc, and then CS should be able to help. I think this is done by unlinking the authenticator from their end so you can just basically link it as new. Took them 17 minutes to get it sorted from when I sent in the ticket, so I think it’s a quick fix, so long as you’re clear about the problem in the description.
You will find under your “My Account/Security” page a list of networks already authorized (probably via email authentication), and logging on to these networks won’t prompt a code request.
If you long on to a new network, it will send a request, with a little extra box to check if you want to remember the network.
It does work, but will be for any network you connect to from now on and any you don’t authorize from now on.
ah, thanks Konig, been a while since i played sylvaran story so didn’t remember all that.
would have added some credence to Mordremoth influencing the nightmare though… ah well. should probably catch up on my lore a bit more often.
just throwing this in, but could Mordremtoh(’s champion) be or be related to that creature that is attacking the dream at the start of a sylvaran characters story?
from what i remember, that had a very dragon champion/plant like look about it.
(edited by DjC.7039)
If I could send a thank you card I would, but this will have to do.
Just a little note to say thanks to the support team for helping me with my little problem (mobile authenticator issue) and especially the speed at which they responded (all of 17 minutes).
Happy bunny here
I think I’ve read somewhere before where they did it, but not sure why.
It might be just in internal review and someone higher up the food chain decided the punishment was a bit too severe so decided to cut it a bit shorter. But that’s just a guess.
Personally, if it happened to me, I wouldn’t question the decision just in case it was a mistake
Hi Incendia,
If it’s not too late, i’ll just throw my guild into the mix. We’re a small, social, casual guild that likes a little of everything (PvE, WvW, Dungeons, Events, Living Stories, Guild Activities and a little sPvP).
We have just come out of a month long activity check to clear the boards (2nd time since game went live, and we give a month to just simply log in and say “hi”), so we’re looking to rebuild with more active members to allow us to do more Guild Missions, have more parties in WvW, run more dungeon groups etc. We currently have about 10-15 members that are on very regularly, and another 15 or so that can only join in occasionally.
We have forums here, and a new Facebook Group page here. Feel free to sign up or msg me on these forums or in-game (add DjC.7039 to friends list as i have many toons)

As a general rule ANet will not email you asking for anything. You have to get in touch with them first, and it’s always better to do it via the Support Ticket function.
What you have there are “phishing” emails. Bad, naughty people who’re trying to get hold of your account details so they can access your account and use it for bad, naughty things. Take a look at the Phishing sticky topic at top of the Accounts forum page, or via link
Might be a good idea to change, update and/or make the password to your email account stronger.
If she is having trouble, and is trying to make a password that she can remember, then mix in upper and lower case letters all throughout the password. Most passwords these days are case-sensitive for each individual letter, so this is a good way to make a stronger password, as well as by adding in numbers throughout.
As mentioned, there is a blacklist of passwords that have been known to have been used to compromise peoples accounts, and ANet won’t allow these to be used again. The 2-Step mobile verification is a good way to add security to your account as well.
Also, if your PC is secure, and you have separate user profiles, the game client on each user profile can remember the passwords for an automatic log in. This would only be recommended if your PC is VERY secure though. It has been known, for younger/peeved family members to log on to peoples accounts and play havoc!
I think it depends on where you live (country-wise) but for the most part, the contract made when the payment was made will be with Amazon, and any refunds will have to go through them.
I’m not sure what their policy is on a software refund, especially if the code has been activated already. Most retailers now don’t do refunds on software packages, especially for PCs. You’d have to ask Amazon if it would be possible to get a refund.
As you’ve gone to the trouble of making two seperate posts about this by yourself, not including any others that you may have posted in, I’m guessing you’re a bit mad. It’s no use getting mad, as this won’t speed up any support that you need.
If you are the victim of the “Trial Account Bug”, then submit a ticket to support (take a look at This Page on how to submit a ticket). It is however a known issue, so I wouldn’t be surprised if they aren’t already working on a fix which will probably be released around the same time as Tuesday’s update.
There are a lot of topics about this issue, so I’m guessing that, if not right now then it soon will be, a known issue; even if we haven’t had a Dev response yet.
Guess there will be a fix coming out with Tuesday’s update. If there isn’t, post a support ticket and get support on it.
Well I played in Open Beta, and there was no perks associated with that, so I assume you are talking about perks given to those who participated in Closed Beta testing (which I haven’t been able to find anything about perks-wise, so presumably they ANet don’t want anyone knowing those people got perks).
But as said above, best bet is to send in a support ticket:
How to submit a ticket
As a general rule, I believe they only offer free name changes when a name is found to be offensive.
There is a chance to get Name Change Contracts for free when you open Black Lion Chests, so can always hope for the best when you get a key and just play your toon in the meantime.
Only other option I’m afraid would be to re-roll the character, however I can understand why you wouldn’t want to do that.
But saying that, send a ticket to support, and see what they say, they may be willing to help you out. Take a look at the “How to submit a Ticket” sticky topic at top of this page, or via link below:
How to Submit a Ticket
After clearing out some inactive members, after a month long activity check, we are on the look out for new members to join this friendly, helpful, social guild that enjoys having fun and a laugh in game.
We are a small guild looking to get enough regular active members to start doing Guild Missions more often and to have more dungeon runs going and a bigger presence in WvW.
Visit our forums here, or sign up to our new Facebook page here.
Or PM me here on these forums, or msg in-game.
Sounds like you may have got caught by a bug due to this weekends free trial. Best bet will be to make a support ticket, just to make sure it doesn’t but a stop on your account after the weekend is over as it looks like it’s reading your account as a trial one.

Hey,
that’s no problem. if you’re still having trouble finding a guild though, the offer is always open
Hi,
If you’re willing to transfer to Seafarer’s Rest, I would like to extend an invite to Reunited Ronins [RR].
We’re a small guild, currently in process of rebuilding the roster after cleaning out the roster of those that haven’t logged on in over a month. The guild is a PvX guild, mainly PvE maps, dungeons, Fractals, World-event chases, Guild Missions etc plus a few of us do venture into WvW regularly.
We understand that real life can get in the way of game time but all we ask is that you log in at least once a month to say “hey” to stay part of the guild. In return, we’ll offer help whenever we can (the officers especially) and a mature environment.
If you like the sound of us, message here, or in-game (add me, DjC.7039 to friends list as i play numerous characters) or pop on to our little forums Here

Reunited Ronins [RR] are recruiting on Seafarer’s Rest (EU) server.
We are a guild of casual gamers who understand that real life can get in the way of playtime and as such we don’t have and real hardcore requirements when it comes to play time. All we ask is that you check in at least once a month to say “Hi” to let us know that you (or at least your account) are still alive
Our members cover all experience ranges from beta testers to people who have only just started and everyone is always willing to help out when they can. We are friendly, chatty and we play most aspects of the game incl. PvE, Dungeons, WvW etc. The only part we don’t really do is sPvP.
We are recruiting any players who like a laid back guild or a friendly, helping environment to up out roster count so we can have more spontaneous guild parties in PvE and WvW and so we can do more Guild Missions.
If this sounds like a guild you would like to be in, leave a post, message me in-game (use DjC.7039 and add to friends list as I may be on any number of toons), or join and post on our forums here

Technically the Skill Points you get for continual levelling after 80 is currency, but only for the Mystic Forge. I don’t know about everyone else, but I don’t use it that often, atm at least.
Possible making it a small monetary reward instead & removing the whole Skill Points as currency for Mystic Forge idea, might allow people more flexibilty into what they do as they will have more gold to spend…
Just an idea.
I believe this is a problem, having experienced it myself. I’m not going to get into the debate as to what has caused it, as it ranges over lots of things, but as for a solution…
Why not make World Chests account bound? This way it won’t encourage the practice of different characters on different servers “Guesting” purely for the chests. Imo, this will still give enough chests for all but the hardcore farmers, will hopefully discourage this “Guesting – Overflow” thing that’s going on but still allow Guests, who haven’t done a specific chest on their own world to be rewarded if they are truely guesting with friends.
+1 to this. As an officer myself, I have, by accident, removed people from the guild, when I mearly wanted to remove them from a party. It isn’t that much of an issue as re-inviting them to the guild is a simple thing to do, but it would save a lot of hassle/questions if we had some kind of confirmation box.
Having just done our Guilds first Guild Mission, I would like to add my voice to a Guild Calender upon which, leaders/officers can put up when the Missions (and any other aspect i.e. Dungeons, Wv3 etc) will be happening so we can organise better groups.
I hate to say this (Really!), but the calender system was one of the few things I really liked about WoW. It was great for organisation. It can only improve guild organisation in GW2 as well.
Please?!
Revan, unfortunatly, we’re not looking to move atm. spent quite a bit on a personal guild bank space on WsR, then was forced to move to SfR by guild & started another personal guild bank. So trying to stay here for now. Thanks anyway
Seps, that sounds cool, & got no problem with using Teamspeak, just need to download it & get details & some point. I’ve added you on friends list & will whisper you in-game as & when i see you on
Me & my gf are looking for a nice friendly, mature, casual guild for all PvE & WvW aspects of the game on Seafarer’s Rest (EU) Server. English Speaking, & not too obsessed with log-on times as they can be random.
We’ve been playing since beta & pretty much have decent exp with all parts of the game (except spvp). Always happy to help out when we can, & love doing dungeons & events.
Thanks
i don’t think its the lack of ranged weapons that’s the problem, it’s that the sceptre & staff just aren’t very good at it. the staff is an AoE attack, which is ok against parties/zergs, but the sceptre is just awful. slow moving orb?! not very good imo. at least 1 of these needs to have a quick moving projectile, so we can at least join in whilst taking (for example) an oil pot down. our only other option is offensive spell book & while its powerful, it takes up elite & has a long cool down.
the F12 key does this. I always use it when switching toons. only hit the Esc key when i’m changing settings or exiting to desktop.
unfortunatly, there only seems to be 2 answers to this at present, having ran into this myself on Whiteside Ridge server.
1). Attempt to get another group together to push them back long enough to either make them give up altogether, or at least to allow time to do the puzzle.
2). Just give up, & try again another time when, hopefully, they won’t be online & deny them the easy kills/Badges that they are after.
Until ANet do something about this, e.g. making the area of the puzzle same as the citadel in that everyone’s invicible (just an example, there are other options), this will always be a problem for individuals/small parties who are trying to do the jumping puzzles.
Devourers are ranged & have a nice kick back ability and ability to bleed or poison (depending on which type of Dev), Spiders are ranged i believe. not 100% sure about others as i just run Devs.
While i think that this may be a good idea diversity-wise, i have to agree with the others; that it would be too much, at least currently, for ANet to take on.
Math-wise, thats 7 new combinations per profession, so that’s 56 different combinations to be considered. 5 new weapons skills for each combination (unless all weapon skills will be the same reguardless of primary, & i don’t think that would be a good idea, but that’s just my opinion) & thats 280 new skills not including utilities, which’ll either be 224 for 4 new utility skills, or another 280 for 5 (if adding a new heal skill). & then, if there are to be trait lines, that’s 8 new lines they would have to come up with, adding 2 new stats to each and at least 3 minor & 3 major trait skills to each line as well (24 minors, 24 majors). & then if they follow the option of 12 different trait skills for each major, that’s 96 new major trait skills.
Don’t know about you, but i reckon that’s a lot to take on, especially with the time it takes to currently fix bugs & balance skills now.
Personally, i’m happy at the moment with the mix of weapon skills & utility skills currently available (although some do suck!).

I guess this has happened to me a couple of times.
One time I was sending some 12-slot bags to a guildie, mailed & he didn’t recieve them. On this occasion I put a second set in the guild bank, but thats 1 set of bags gone missing.
Another time was when I was making some weapons for my gf’s character. These were one 1-H sword & axe and a 2-H greatsword. Now these weren’t exoctics, but they were rare’s. Not as expensive but still quite a lot of items. The 1-H weapons mailed fine, but the first 2-H greatsword didn’t get through, so I made another one & sent that. This didn’t arrive either. So that’s two 2-H Rare Greatswords (Mithril) lost.
So i agree this needs to be looked at.
Ok, couldn’t really find an area for this, but i was levelling in Iron Marshes & i got to the ogre camp in the North East of the map & i found approx 8-10 bots. Now i reported them in game, but this, to me, seemed like a rather large number to be in 1 area.
I was thinking that maybe there should be a clear topic/forum to highlight areas where people run across large groups of bots.
And just in case anyone asks, i gave them chance in chat to shout out/respond to questions i asked, whispered those with guild tags as well & still no replies. They were following a circuit (a very small obvious one farming corrupted rock dogs) & 2/3 of them were running around without armor (ranging from lvl 5 – 45(ish)).

This is my personal view, so please no flaming.
But it reminds me of The Shawshank Redemption. Everyone who has been jailed is “innocent”. And yet there was that one guy who was innocent.
The simple fact is this; this sort of game needs a system to take bots out of the game, as bots will destroy the economy & so the game. I won’t deny that people are been banned when they haven’t done anything against the ToCs, but these are what we signed up to when we purchased the license & what we must abide by.
If you are innocent, then you will get your account back & while the time in between will be a major annoyance & possibly quite upsetting, it’s no reason to call for a complete scrapping of any system that is there to remove bots. Any system will be flawed, whether it be humans or automated, as the automated system is written by humans.
& in case anyone asks, I have never had an account banned for botting. In fact the only time I had to fight to get my account back was when in GW1 after i’d been away from the game for a few years & it had been hacked & banned for gold selling. It took a while to get it back, but i waited & got it back.
