When we create our characters we align ourselves to one of the gods, i specific was aligned with Balthazar before i even knew what he was so if we kill him or whatever doesn’t it mess up with the character’s alignment or something? They are supposed to be immortal and part of our character’s powers.
The sudden shift to the story direction that ArenaNet took isn’t really good at all. Guild Wars 2 was unique because it was focused on the Elder Dragons as main antagonists and each expansion was supposed to be based on one of them but for some reason they gave up on that with living world season 3 and changed it to other random things making it impossible to kill another dragon in next expansion which is a turndown. We waited for so long to find out which Elder Dragon we will fight next only for them to change their mind and give up on the unique story it had.
With the recent leaks about the new GW2 expansion its not easy to understand who is the next elder dragon is or if there will be one in this expansion, is the Vabbi area near Jormag or something?
The good with Guild Wars 2 is that it follows the Modern MMO style where you don’t depend on other players at all, so even if you were the only one playing you can still finish the story and get your good gear
Hi, for some reason the forums of guild wars 2 along with other gw2 subsites don’t have a bookmark icon and its a little annoying, can’t you just add the bookmark icon from the main site the red ’’2’’ thing? Right now it’s just a blank white paper
Whenever i log in to the forums if i return after 10 minutes or more it automaticly logs me out now and i must log back in, this system is really stupid,it should let you be automaticly logged in like all of the other games
The areas of the new expansion including silverwastes and dry top need a lot better PCs to get at least 20 fps in compare with the old areas, i just wonder why Arenanet keeps this in secret and they dont mention it at start, it shows just that they are desperate to get a few more players buy the expansion and then quit once they see that the new areas need better pcs, i think thats the reason why they made the base game free in the first place. But still i also cant understand whats the point in making the new areas have higher system requirements is it because they failed in programming or it was on purpose
Steam always takes a cut of everything being sold, including gems.
It doesnt work like that, Steam doesnt take the money that Guild Wars 2 would sell from the in-game store. Only if they brought extra gem-dlcs on the steam store and people bought them from there, only then valve would take the 30% of the money otherwise the in-game marketplace is completely seperate from steam/valve
Now that the base game of Guild Wars 2 is free whats the point of having it still in an abandoned place and not on Steam? If you were something like Blizzard’s Battle.net where it has 6 games and all of them are from the most played games in the world it would be ok but Guild Wars 2 is just 1 game not a client with many games and its really strange that its still not on Steam while guild wars 1 and other arena.net games are there. You wont loose anything by bringing it there, only gain a massive amount of new players even Riot Games (League of Legends creators) are making a client with more games like Battle.net so they wont have to bring league on Steam but GW2 should really be there. Even Wildstar is having a steam release soon
1st Expansion (Heart of Thorns): Mordremoth will grow plants everywhere and people will barely be able to walk in the city
2nd Expansion: Kralkatorrik will shake the earth and with his crystals he will destroy the remaining buildings that are left there and also cut some of the plants that Mordermoth spawned
3rd Expansion: Jormag will freeze the remains of the destroyed city and the npcs + the portals will dissapear
4th Expansion: Primordius will melt the frozen remains and everything will become dust
5th Expansion: The Deep Sea dragon will cover everything under water and all that it’s left will be a lake which connects to the rest of the ocean
Its like you never played a game before lol, at least MMORPG/Mobas get updates while the other games stay dead after release , there are 5 more expansions for GW2 coming which will take at least 12 more years of your life, if you want a break play League of Legends or something on Steam while waiting
What I find refreshing is that the OP actually thinks the game will last long enough to get to the ‘final boss’.

thats because most mmos arent organized they add new random content , Final Fantasy XIV, WoW, and Guild Wars 2 however are indeed organized and we already know all of the villains that we have to face (final villain of wow wil be Sargeras and of ffxiv Gaius), Guild Wars 2 specific is the most organized from all, we know that the final boss will be one of the elder dragons and we can even see all of the map in the game even the areas that we cant go yet same with Elder Scrolls Online you can already see all of Tamriel and the future areas that will be unlocked, the ones who never reach a final boss is those with random story and new villains and areas that pop out of nowhere.
For WoW specific the full map is also already known since long time ago but those who were completely clueless said that blizzard added Pandas in 2012 and were complaining while Pandaria was a part of azeroth since at least 12 years ago in the comics its just that WoW didnt add the full map from the start and they add each area/planet with every expansion but they add areas that already exist from the lore just not in the game yet.
Many people have this problem not just me, i have in all areas 80 FPS but whenever i go in Dry Top or Silverwaters the FPS drops to 3-5 and game becomes literally unplayable cant even walk, i even tried it on an internet cafe where the pcs there are extremely good and same problem fps was 4-5 whenever i went to the area that means its Arenanet’s fault will this ever be fixed otherwise im headed straight back to WoW
1st: The elder dragon of fire, Primordius he is the strongest one propably and the first who awakened so we will fight him as the last one.
2nd: The elder dragon of water, Primordius is still the strongest but maybe they will put him in the pre-last expansion so the final one will be a bit more calm and enjoying with the Deep Sea dragon
3rd: A 7th elder dragon will be revealed based on light powers he will be yellow/white with large angelic wings etc and he will be the leader of all the elder dragons
4th: A crossover will happen between World of Warcraft, Guild Wars 2 and Final Fantasy XIV and all the players from these 3 biggest mmos will join together to face the ultimate villain, Sargeras (from WoW) who fused with Gaius Van Baelsar (from FFXIV) and then swallowed the powers of the dead elder dragons which transformed him into an unstoppable force.
I launch it through Steam anyway as a non-Steam game, which is functionally like it being on Steam anyway.
Yes im doing this for League of Legends, Guild Wars 2, and some Battle.Net games (Hearthstone, Heroes of the Storm etc) Even though you can still add them on Steam its not the same you just have the Steam Overlay,and you can post Screenshots. but it would be much better if Guild Wars 2 was an acctual Steam game with all the other things like having a Steam store page, a Steam community hub, uploading your artwork, having achievements, your hours played and all the rest
I have played almost all mmos, when i say all i mean it(well apart from some japanese anime mmos which come out every 3-4 months) Guild Wars 2 was clearly the best one for me and i wont stop playing it until all the Elder Dragons are dead but the only thing that i dont like about it its that its still not on Steam!!!
Steam dominates the whole ditigal world now and its the center of gaming. I really hope to see it there sometime in the future since GW1 is on Steam aswell, yes Valve takes 30% of the money that the games sell but with Guild Wars 2 there the sales of the game will increase even more i dont doubt that they will pass the 10 million in the first week so at the long way ArenaNet will acctualy earn more money both them and Valve i dont see any reason for it not being there but i have hopes even if it takes 5 years i hope il see it on Steam eventualy like all the rest which come there now ESO, Wildstar (yes wildstar is coming in august on Steam https://steamdb.info/sub/68224/) and even Lineage 2 has a steam database now please Guild Wars 2 just come there.
I dont mean that GW2 kills WoW i mean that GW2 is the only mmo which is a succesful descendant to WoW, its the first one who sold so many millions of copies after WoW, and the only mmo which got so much positive reviews and loved by everyone,even Angry Joe you know the famous Game Reviewer, he is really strict with the games but yet GW2 was the only game that he gave it a 10/10 in his show. Its is a really unique game, especialy the lore and races are amazing we already know what we are going to face later (the elder dragons), we can already see all the areas in the map even the future ones that we will go. WoW is the biggest masterpiece in Lore writing, GW2 is the only mmo which is a bit close to it. For me specific i was a fanatic of WoW i played it from the start, at 2011 when GW2 came it was the only mmo which made me quit WoW and every time i tried to go back to it i couldnt even sit for 5 mins but GW2 i cant quit it now mostly because i know that there are still 5 more elder dragons and i already know what im going to face while the other mmos add completely new and random stuff without a specific lore and map just popping areas out of nowhere this is proapbly the reason why GW2 was unique.
We can already guess that the expansion after Heart of Thorns will be in Far Shiverpeaks with Jormag
I have tried almost all mmos since the start and i literaly never saw an mmo hated to the death with so many negative reviews, trash talks,and articles that warn people not to buy it. ESO has been talked to the death no other mmo had received so much hate than ESO, i agree with them myself its the only mmo where i cant even log in to the game or find where my quests are, all my friends who tried it were stuck on infinite loading screens, it lacks the basic programing. It also had the worst launch than any other mmo with no customer support at all.The best thing they can do is at least offer a refund for the people who could not get their money back ( i was lucky i bought it on Steam and managed to refund my money in time), But its official ESO is the game that makes everyone want to run away from it, i hope the other companies learn from that and never repeat it again.

I know that GW2 together with Final Fantasy 14 and WoW are the most played mmos but i wanted to know how many players it has in general the only thing i found was that many people were saying in posts that GW2 has sold in usa ,eu and china together around 7.300.000 copies by the end of 2014
Some of them might look a bit awkward but some other are incredibly sexy they even beat draenei females from wow or the castanics from tera, everyone loves plant-girls
Are you idiot it already laggs for the most people in the new areas even on good pcs and you want them to make it for better? they will 100% kill the game if they do it WoW is the top because it plays even on bad PCs the other mmos are all dead because they require high end pcs
Come on we waited 3 years for 1 expansion this is even higher than the World of Warcraft waiting times lol (its 2 years there) and the funny is that after this elder dragon there are 4 more that means at least 4 more expansions, so the players who are 40+ years old might not even make it till the last expansion if it continues so slow. Will Heart of Thorns be released this year at least?
Steam is the largest gaming network that exists with over 100 million account worldwide the only 2 companies that officialy refuse to bring their games on Steam are Blizzard which has Battlenet and EA which has Origin and they both get a lot of hate because noone is using their launchers especialy EA is the most hated company that exists but now apart from that Guild Wars 1 and all of its expansions are on Steam why cant you justb ring Guild Wars 2 there too? me and many others want to have this game in the library there to save our played time and the other features. Elder Scrolls Online came to Steam aswell, hell even League of Legends was on Steam for 1-2 days it got removed after (no joke).
I really hope in the future Guild Wars 2 will come to Steam too it will just give ArenaNet a huge amount of money if they bring it because not only thousands of new people will buy it but a lot of the old ones including me will buy it again from there.
Some areas in the game like Dry Top, Silverwaters or Southsun Cove they dont have the map completition thing on the right side but they do have points of interest and waypoints and stuff i know these areas dont count in World Completition but still people are doing them when they are finished with the other, the only way right now is to walk in all of their maps and click M to see if there is any waypoint or point of interest there , in the future they should really have a completition tracker like the rest of the areas for the new players too.

I have noticed in the game (not just me) that the new areas cause huge laggs and fps drops in compare with the other to be more specific in all the areas of the original Guild Wars 2 the fps is steady at 60 but in the new areas like Dry Top or Silverwaters although they dont look like they use better textures but the fps drops to 3-5 making it unplayable, i was forced to quit because of that and swiched to Elder Scrolls Online (its buy to play now like gw2) because there apart from that it has good graphics it allows even low end machines to play it without lagg by just reducing the details however Guild Wars 2 if you go to the new areas its unplayable
I have turned everything on low and still 1 fps and acctualy its not the SANDSTORM its the area that is bugged not just for me for thousands of people also the Sandstorm is acctualy the only thing that protects us from lagging because when it happens most of the area gets unseen and fps raises back to 60 but when it ends again 1-3 fps the developers just failed something while making that area and if the expansion takes place there too in a sand area then its over
Guild Wars same with most mmos now but specific Guild Wars 2 is designed so that you play only with 1 character the story progress map progress etc if you play with 2 or more characters you can never fully play the game and do everything in it
Its not only me many people have this problem aswell in all the areas of the game i works fine but in the area Dry Top the fps drops to 1-3 and apart from that the area has some stupid platforming quests that you must jump and they are impossible with the massive lagg.
But my real question is it true that the expansion HoT takes place also there in same area? because that kills the game for me i dont think il continue like that.
I just started playing guild wars 2 because im done with pay to play mmos and i am interested in the 6 elder dragons (so far we killed just 1). I am doing all the tasks in all zones until i complete them all 303/303 but the thing with Centaurs vs Humans got my attention mostly and i wanted to ask is there an acctual king that the Centaurs have and you fight him later in the story or they just have random clans and villages who try to take back their lands
