This is something that we had considered in the past, but opted against because it unfairly works against lapsed players who want to ask what’s changed since they last played and players like Pixelpumpkin who may, for personal reasons, be unable to log into the game, but still want to interact with the forums and stay up to date on the game.

It’s also worth pointing out that some people use claims of quitting the game as an attention-getting tactic, when in fact they are still quite active. Putting in this type of restriction would just push those people to claim they only log in to keep their forum privileges active.

I like how one of you anet guys pipes up and comes crawling out of the woodwork. Is there any timescale for a response on the other little thing people are talking about?

I feel like they have spat in my face. Even if they roll back the change, the comments made by Gail have slightly kittened me off.

To say that we’re simply ranting and then to have these feeble excuses thrown at us is really annoying.

This thread is another example of us becoming more and more disillusioned with Anet and their choices. I dread to think what else will be implemented come next patch day and I wonder what the tipping point will be?

Anet – you need to start being a lot more transparent with your customers.

There needs be a bearded dude screaming “abandon hope all ye who enter” round these parts.

A lot of newer players had trouble with the interface. That doesn’t apply to you, you’re veterans who have been around the conversion block a time or two. But newer players will benefit from the updated system.

Who are these people? How was this information collected? When was this data collected? Can we see the results on the information you collected? What was so hard to understand regarding simple math?

The goal was to make the Gem Store more like other shopping experiences, and if you think about it, there is more of that feel to it now.

I don’t understand what you mean by “other shopping experiences”. If I want to buy a pair of shoes for £50, I don’t draw out £100 and store the rest away for another day. I spend £50 because that’s how much I want to spend.

You may be surprised to know this (I know I was) but very few people bought gems at smaller denominations than the first one offered in the new system. That’s not to say they never did, nor that there wouldn’t be the desire to do so. But overall, the current options were selected based on player purchases in the past.

If this is the case, why has the choice been taken out completely? You said it yourself, people did buy smaller increments of gems. People also bought larger numbers. I don’t understand why the choice was made to completely remove the option so we could buy as much or as little as you like.

The team is going to listen to your feedback and, if and when it’s practical and desirable, they can look towards adjusting the new system to better meet your needs

I am so frustrated at some of the decisions been made recently. I honestly get the impression Anet that you don’t care what the player base wants. All you want is what is in our wallets.

The running joke/excuse that the new player base is too stupid to understand the current mechanics of the game is insulting and tiresome.

There is a running theme of community outcry after nearly each patch. Anet MUST have clocked onto this and I just don’t understand where these decisions are coming from.

Please. I’ve played Guild Wars since Guild Wars 1 first came out and I’m so fed up of these money grabbing decisions. I just don’t understand what your direction is with this game or where it is going… but I suppose if your target is to make lots of money at the expense of us, then your doing a good job about it.

Some features of this patch are an atrocity and it makes me question why I still want to click on that little Guild Wars 2 Icon sitting on my screen.

I recently created a d/d thief solely for roaming.

I use a build that I have gotten off Nightblade and have also watched a few videos etc.

Kitted out my character, logged into WvW and prepared to kick some kitten .

And then I came to the realisation that I’m crap.

Have played WvW on this char for about a week, I know I can’t expect to be amazing but I thought I’d get a little better. If anything, I’m getting worse.

So any tips/tricks/help from fellow thieves would be awesome!

I submitted a ticket for hopefully a refund. I had to buy Ralena’s Band’s so now I just have Vassar’s Band sitting in my inventory. I’m trying to get a Plague Idol now which costs 40 laurels which is why its annoying as i’ve wasted 30!

My other characters builds don’t relate to the spare ring so I won’t use it. Hopefully CS will help me out.

I think they need to make this more apparent in game too as I had to search an external site outside of the game to find the information I was after.

Do you think they would refund me the laurels if I submitted a ticket?

I wouldn’t mind if it was just gold but 30 laurels if the equivalent to a months worth of dailys and I’m not focusing on my other characters so it would go to waste anyway.

I now have to do dailys for another month just to get the correct piece of armor.

I’m not sure if I have a case but then again, if the information isn’t clear to begin with, maybe I do?

When buying an ascended trinket (e.g Vassar’s Band) does it say anywhere that you can’t equip 2 of the same piece?

I bought 2 Vassar’s Band’s the other day and was annoyed to find out I could only equip one which meant I wasted 30 laurels.

Just wondering if anybody else was aware of this or if the info is obvious/apparent in game?

Am I missing something here?

I see alot of posts about how it “brought a tear to my eye” and it was “incredibly emotional”, “brilliant” etc however, I just didn’t feel that.

I am primarily a PvE player, I dabble in WvW but my interests in GW2 lie in the lore, story, PvE aspect of the game. However, I was so unemotionally detached to any of the characters that I just didn’t care if they lived or died.

I didn’t care if Rox goes to her warband, I didn’t care if Delaqua or Kasmeer died / stayed together etc. I literally finished the LS, thought to myself “is that it?”, then logged off.

In fact, I was kind of disappointed in the fact that there wasn’t a twist to the ending. Nothing unexpected happened. It ended in quite a boring (imo) linear fashion. Scarlet died and an elder dragon awoke and because of the amount of theories hinting at this, I just wasn’t surprised.

I guess what I’m getting at here in this jumbled up mess of a post is -

Am I one of the select few who didn’t care what happened to these characters and felt disappointed at the lack of shock value / twists in the ending of this story?

If that’s the case, imo the greater incentive is to join the zerg and collect the loot!

Just managed to get 1500 with TTS and Darkhaven (not sure if world’s first non-bugged one) just not and we got a Ultimate Citizen’s Rescue Bag which seemed to get everyone at least one item from a previous update. Though it varied in quality. I also was just rescuing citizens the whole time and I got around 148 from clearing the way.

So take what you will if it’s worth it.

Personally I find it more fun then just zerging around everywhere and swinging my lootstick.

What do you mean by an item from a previous event? Like the weapons skins etc?

Kinda takes away the immersion having Logan spitting his dummy out whilst LA burns.

I can’t give any ideas on how to do this but it is so boring running around at 5fps with a bunch of green names floating above invisible bodies spamming the 11111111111.

I wish tactics could be implemented in some way.

There are far more important issues than what we liked about EOTM. This sort of stuff is why the WvW community feels that they are totally ignored.

EOTM is also very new. Give it more time before implementing stuff from there into actual WvW.

With the release of EoTM, i finally figured out what Scarlet is up to.

She wants the oil.

Heres the proof:
1) She recruited Dredge first, coincidence? no, their digging technology is advanced, but their body isn’t the fastest, therefore she merged their technology with the Charr strenght, and created the molten Alliance.

2) The Probes, is actually drilling machines, if you look at them, you can see they are slamming into the ground, in the search for oil.

3) In EoTM there is oil, and Scarlet too knows this, which is why she invaded this place!

4) She is an american creation, and we know americans loves that oil.

According to the devs, they are aware of how bad it is. It is a battle that probably fell victim to tight deadlines, and rushing the game to the store. Hopefully they’ll patch it at some point. I’m keeping my fingers crossed for a Zhaitan world boss in a new Orr zone, that gives Zhaitan a more worthy battle.

I first completed zhaitan over a year ago and i heard the same thing about anet patching it back then. that’s why i went back with a diff char in the vain hope it had been fixed. it still hasnt been done and i doubt they have it on their priority list atm considering all this new stuff they’re bring out which i suppose is fair enough.

either way, the new bosses that were fighting now are good so i cant expect it to be as bad as zhaitan was.

either way, all i can hope agaisnt all else is that if it is an elder dragon, the fight is a hell of a lot better than the shambles that is the zhaitan final fight.

i did it last night and oh my days it was horrific.

Yet, we’ve had Zhaitan that’s done plans and tactics when it came to attacking The Pact. And we have no evidence saying that a god can contain or manipulate an elder dragon.

But that wasn’t necessarily Zhaitan. Those were his minions and champions that schemed. The elder dragons themselves aren’t very smart and thus their champions to a lot of the planning. However, I never said a god has the power to contain and elder dragon, but if it isn’t an elder dragon and is something completely different, this entity has very strong confidence that it can deal with the elder dragons
