i have a full arah set on my ranger pre nerfs to arah and my dungeon master title i got it all on my ranger all of them its do able but be prepared to be kitten on a lot of the fights.

What happened to the rangers was this. TY for your money thinking we will balance this class out. Now that your even worse in dungeons and wvw and nerfed in spvp with the whole class. We can now continue to show other classes their Op against a kitten Ai and a low damage player.

any way to get a refund of all the guild comms i used on my ranger to put it on my thief that would be great cause there is no reason to play mine anymore.

if you want kitten ranger damage take it in a dungeon run. play a ranger and learning to micro manage your pet. and when both of your pets are dead and all you got is your weapons you are also losing 40% more damage for a whole min because of the cd on your pet. there are some rangers that know how to greatly avoid that problem but most don’t. so unless anet fixes that issue rangers won’t ever be totally viable in a dungeon run in many peoples eyes.

most of everyone on Db are level 80 do meta events and dungeons and wvw in your level range there isn’t a lot of people in each zone. when i got doing my dailies i usually pick a random zone to do it in. But i understand how it can feel empty at times. when you get up in level’s you’ll start to see more people.

what i’m worried about is pets surviving aoe effects and not getting killed in one second like in Ta path forward forward when you get to the room with the ranger our pets die instantly when we enter the bubble. Arah path 2 same thing when we get switched inot the astral to attack the final boss pets dead in 3 seconds. but in the last 9 months i have never seen any changes to help a ranger in those dungeons. There are many more instances where this happens alot.

Why we are the only class also that has its damaged kitten on a 1 min cd when both of the pets are dead is why people won’t take rangers into dungeons cause most can’t micro correctly. Hell i’ve got over 1000 hours on my ranger and tested every build my pet still dies in dungeons. We are still the lower end of damage scale output then all the other classes.

So what i’m hoping on is these issues fixed finally so that ranges have more viability for groups in damage and buffs.

i hope they fix rangers to being more viable and buffers with our pets for dungeons then the stigmata we have now. I know i have my dungeon master title from my ranger doing everything but it was at a great length in time and micro managing to all hell on my pets survival that i do decent damage to the targets. Not saying its right though that our class in Pve content is more kitten then any other at this moment. and if it continues after next patch i’m gonna be done with this game for good.

had same connection issue just let it sit there idle in the background for 5min then it popped to my login

currently the ranger short bow poison volley says each arrow does X amount of damage when its only doing 1/4 of the damage per arrow so if it says 330 its doing like 80 damage instead.

Lower the cooldown of pet death to 30 seconds when its dead. because that 1 whole min of a ranger’s pet dead is missing 40% of its damage output is a loss in damage. Reason we do so little in dungeons is the micro managing is even worse half the time pets die due to aoe or a cleave and can’t call it back in time. or odoesn’t come straight back to a player and dies so were forced to pet swap but if that happens twice in a row we are stuck with or kitten damage.

nerfing ranger pet damage ummm yeah we don’t do enough as it is lets nerf them some more we gave pets more toughness so they can aggro more and oh wait AOE still one shots it….. from an boss in a dungeon run unless your running guard with a bunker build and OP healing so lets just nerf them and watch a class just roll over an die.

I don’t know the exact details but some of the main people doing this on Dragonbrand. now i know the rule of conduct on in section 9 states about items being sold. they have claimed this lottery as a fund raiser to me when i questioned them about it. Now they spam it in all the map chats here and there to send all the money to Grimaldi. Now what are they doing with the other gold not from the items they are using to their own benifit. Not to our server in my opinion.

so while i was farming a warrior kills the same targets in 5 secs what takes me 10 mind you a warrior doesn’t have a pet quote the dev’s but pets are still lacking in power to do damage no matter how you look at them. In my opinion ranger weapons should get an increase in damage it shouldn’t take a full extoic ranger longer to kill at higher levels. either the pet scaling is off or weapon cause i’m tired of having what everyone else calls kitten damage.

I was farming in frostgorge sound and killing grawl on my ranger with my pet mind you i’m bm a warrior none zerker from his honor of waves gear and sword does one move kills 3 grawl in less then 5 secs even if i went trapper build or bersker i could never do that any explaination for that? Mind you i’m in full exotics gear and asended gear. So why are rangers damage so much lower then other classes?

So once in a blue moon a pve pet build comes to mind in my head been trying it in dungeons and yes folks it works..

so now that the quickness nerf has been in effect will the dev’s change the traits that have those effects in the beast mastery trait lines like 2 secs of quickness or the 5 sec’s for pet when down cause now that useless for any ranger.

he was not using any speed buffs just running in a circle. the melee pets could not hit him at all. and yeah pets need serious workings for a class thats supposed to do a good portion of our damage but they don’t seem viable and yes the 30% increase trait did not improve the pet at all so its not working as intended maybe change it to 30% haste increase for pets might work better.

me and another guild mate of mine decide to have fun with a necro and my ranger. He didn’t believe me about my pets not able to hit him moving so i hade him run in a circle with my jaguar chasing him it never landed a blow in the 2min it was chasing him. that was with a agility traited 30% increase to speed and with Sick em. So once you Dev’s Fix pets attack ability to hit enemies on movement we will be more viable in so many ways.

my pets have more uptime in dungeons then berserker builds but i still use a type of BM build that i like with gs /sb combo

i’ll have to agree on the gs issue but still its our pets we need help…. I’ve tried everything to keep them alive in every fight its just hard when the cooldown to revive one is a a min when both are dead maybe if the cooldown was 30 secs it be more viable

but that would make sense and rangers will be viable then….

but did you look at what we gained with the hidden nerf every attack is a bleed effect now

So recently I’ve been messing with greatsword and can’t always look at my pet’s health but for some odd reason using guard in dungeons and aoe fights my pet seems to survive more with the protection on it. Anyone else use it still.

its a tanky ranger build you don’t do alot fo damage but the combo fields and might stacking that i do it does decent damage

funny that happened on the way to lupi the other night in arah p2 with my raven.

ranger pets are not getting the buff at the end of path two for arah explorer makes it hard on the class to do damage when the pet is doing zero damage the whole time.

well getting the Ar is nice but my pet dying from 3 hits wouldn’t help in an aoe fight in wvw.

now pets to survival is great in dungeons but do that do the damamge… No spiders do half the damage a feline does a bear can survive a few hits but has no damamge output your best pet to swap to is a dog casue it has the power and toughness to take hits and do some decent damage.

all i have to say is pet in arah exp at lupi my pets die in phase 2 all the time in 2 secs

in Dragonbrand we had about 45 people on our main server YEs we did a headcount. we counts Tarnish coast to over that 70-80 so how do we have a que if we can’t even match at the people attacking us WVW. If we can’t even get enough people to defend it in.

well promises broken no surprise wvw not even an option anymore with guard nerfed pets will still die in 4 hits from anything. Our own damage half of what any other class does for a standard attack. Am I missing anything that will make me viable in Arah explorer or fractuals. Nope You screwed us over by not listening to the forums at all.
Well till its fixed gonna go play something else i guess.

here is my suggestion since dev’s seem to come in here to read this please go to the ranger forums and look at what you promised and never gave them.

i won’t quit being a ranger i love my ranger but i will quit wvw if we get nerfed and spvp. strictly Pve will be my ranger for wvw i’ll do something if anything.

I don’t like playing the same build everyone else does so atm i play a BM and crit build because most of our damage comes from our pets. i Just wish they lasted longer to Aoe abilities or even out all the pets damages to do the same or something along those lines. Because taking a bear in WvW is like me saying “HI i”m a ranger come at me zerg" and kill me. Pets i use are birds and cats other then that there is nothing that will do the burst damage we need to down someone unless its those. But they Die way too fast to anything and they are a major part of our damage dealing so.

Please Anet fix the rangers soon i love the class but i wish to be more viable to my guild mates and to my server.

My only other problem is in the pet system we are the only class that requires hall of Monuments points to get everything we need. Now i did play gw1 for a long time and when i stopped due to freinds i used an old emial account that was no longer active couldn’t remember which one it was. It’s almost 4 years since i played that. SO why can’t we have all of our pets?

i would like to how FA just portal bombed in Hills on Dragonbrands BL cause you didn’t have a wall down or gate down but you came though the stairs with 30 people. and no way should a mesmer or anyclass be able to do that.

Hi i love my pets they do more damage then me so i learned how to use them well in arah explorer but i can’t decide where to put my last 40 points into power crit or condition atm i run with the power and persicion gear from arah for decent damage and i can survive most fights. But what runes should i be using or jewels.

Any suggestions?
