I use class swapping to get my class dailies (i.e. the ones that give the exotic PvP daily chests). If you fix class swapping, can you also remove those dailies and replace them with something else?

So earlier this season I, a pro esport professional who is good at esports and doing fights in PvP vs player combat or whatever, played 10 games with 10 guild teams, in the guild Starfleet Dental. Usually doing this gets us 10 Guild Challenger Reward Boxes, in this case it’s 10 silver boxes (each). We did this the previous two seasons and all 5 of us got 10 boxes each (50 total per season) plus the same number of silver trophies for our guild hall.

This season we only got one box each, even though we were on 10 teams and should have gotten 10 boxes. I asked support where the other boxes were; here is the response:

Customer Support was not directly involved in any of these processes. The distribution of rewards and the selection of winners was done by use of a script created by the Competitive team. All we have been informed of, was that the rewards were sent out to the people who were eligible.

I’d appreciate knowing if something broke that script, resulting in us not getting all our cool boxes with loot inside. Also if anybody else didn’t get all their boxes, I know I’m not the only one who does guild team PvP for the reward boxes.

I guess I’ll try tossing my feedback in and see if anything comes of it.

I play revenant, it’s a lot of fun, my favourite weapon is the hammer. I used to really enjoy being able to hit 15 targets with a 2 second cooldown using Coalescence of Ruin in PvE. Obviously in WvW that’s completely broken, so it had to be nerfed – now it can only hit 5 targets. Then the cooldown got increased, and it could no longer hit the same target twice.

So we’ve gone from this:

2 second cooldown
5 targets per hit (15 total)
Can double-hit

to this:

4 second cooldown
5 targets hit (total)
Cannot double hit

The cooldown increase really hits the flow of the hammer, as it used to be possible to use Coalescence of Ruin followed by two autoattacks, by which time Ruin would be off cooldown. Now I can get off 3 and a half autoattacks, and I have to stare at my satisfying big damage 2 skill knowing I can’t push it until this piddling autoattack hits.

The weapon as a whole was substantially less fun in PvE once I could no longer chunk large groups of enemies, but the increased cooldown to 4 seconds makes the whole thing feel clunky. If the problem is WvW or PvP, just change it for those game modes. Heck, increase the cost to 10 energy, the entire point of a revenant is this energy resource bar, you should be making full use of it.

Playing against other players needs different numbers, but please let me have my fun in PvE.

Client-side gliding is really awesome and fun, but the lean techniques are still server-side – specifically, leaning backwards and forwards. I understand forwards is server-side because it costs endurance, but backwards doesn’t.

Well I hope the devs/gem store people are reading feedback here.

Firstly, I think 700 gems per slot is greatly excessive – buying 5 costs 2800 gems, which is $35. Thirty five dollars. Some retailers sell Heart of Thorns for less.

Secondly, I’d like to be able to move each individual shared slot around. I keep my Royal Terrace Pass on the left side of my inventory (where I’m unlikely to click it), various permanent items at the bottom of my inventory (where they’ll never move), a salvage kit on the row above that, and various ancillary crap scattered around those items (like musical instruments, costume brawl items, ascended items, and god knows what else). So being able to move these slots around however I like – including between slots of existing bags – would be fantastic.

Thirdly I’m going to mention the price again because kitten , guys. But in a more productive way – the only people who have any use for these slots are veteran players with large numbers of alts and expensive items, such as permanent bank contracts or gem store salvage kits. If you’re that kind of veteran, 5 slots is nowhere near enough. I need about 20 to hold the various cool items I’ve collected over 3+ years. If you eventually allow 20 slots, that will cost 14000 gems. I actually had to get a calculator out (I’m bad at math) and that’s $175. If you buy the set of 5 for 2800 gems it’s 11200 gems, costing $140. Absurd. I actually live in Australia, and with exchange rates this would set me back over $200. Come on.

What you should have done was make these slots a whole lot cheaper, then put certain gem store items on sale such as the copper/silver fed salvage kits, instruments, aviator/bobblehead, harvesting tools, and character slots. That would give newer people a reason to buy these if they’re not filthy stinking rich.

I haven’t bought any of these slots yet. I’ve wanted them for years, but I just can’t afford them.

For newly-released content, how are we the players meant to distinguish between intended features and unintended interactions?

I remember people getting banned back at the launch of the game for selling karma-made cooking items for coins, and racial armor being really cheap, and snowflake salvaging, etc. Would you still ban for things like that if they happened again?

If I’m understanding correctly (and I may not be) it sounds like the problem is with newly added permissions?

Your guild leader did in fact give all permissions to the 2nd leader position, but when new ones were introduced they were by default unavailable and your guild leader had to log on to add them, as well?

If so, then this seems like a valid addition to me.

There have been numerous posts of guilds with multiple leaders demoting other leaders and ‘stealing’ the guild, so it seems the best safeguard is to create a pseudo-leader position that has all of the same permissions but is unable to demote the official leader?

So? Tell your guild leader or whoever (I lost track in all that hobbit stuff) to give the needed permission to whoever he wishes to. If not and you don’t like how things work out in that guild(s) – leave.

ETA: “but but but it’s importaant and stuff” – it’s his guild – he is the one who decides who gets what rights.
I’m a guild leader myself (oh noz) and gave all permission to my buddy as well – so we’re two leaders with different ranks and whenever I decide to throw my computer out of my window my guild should still be fine – but that was my decision.

I’m in a few guilds which have more than one leader (three of my four). There’s technically only one person in the top-ranked ‘leader’ position, but several people in the rank just below leader which get all the leader permissions.

When Heart of Thorns came out my home guild couldn’t claim a hall, as our guild leader was off seeing the wondrous sights of New Zealand and managed to get himself stuck in a hobbit door, requiring a crane to get him out. When he eventually got unstuck and logged in he was able to grant permissions to the second leader rank, also allowing us to claim our hall.

Subsequently another permission was added allowing all decorations to be removed at once, but if our Dear Leader should decide to violate his life-long ban from Hobbiton and get tossed in a Shire jail it would be nice if our second-in-command could have permanent access to all new permissions that may come out in the future. Considering our guild leader is a huge Lord of the Rings fan this is a matter of “when”, not “if”.

Just make them immune to condi damage. Gives a roll to non condi users on the team and solves the problem.

make all the NPCs unattackable, instead they just roam around killing players and you need all 10 players to work together to beat them. hope you don’t have any afks

Can you not give the kill to whoever’s conditions do more damage?

So if the boss has 3000 health

Person A has conditions dealing 4000 damage per second
Person B has conditions dealing 5000 damage per second

The kill should go to player B, who deals more damage, even though both players have enough damage to get the kill

My guild had a huge number of people unable to complete the rush due to a bug. See attached: lots of people who have run through every flag, but aren’t able to finish for whatever reason.

hey a new one: When your whirly hammers from the Jalis legend hit a spawning or invulnerable enemy, the hammer will despawn and you have to turn the skill off and on again to get them back.

another bug: Reservation skills disable themselves when you move to different map areas that downscale your level. Sort of hard to describe this one.

The blast finisher will take place at the targeted location (i.e. if you target 1200 away, you will blast finish at 1200 range, but deal damage at 900 range).
  • Hammer skill 2 – Does not deal damage at 1200 range – see above fixed. Thank you!!
  • Sword skill 1 Preparation Thrust/Brutal Blade: These skills do not state their maximum number of targets; Preparation Thrust hits more than one, but does not state this. I don’t know how many Brutal Blade can hit.
  • Invocation major master trait Equilibrium: The damage and healing from this trait does not show up in the combat log.
  • Ventari’s Will – The healing from this skill does not show up in the combat log.
  • Herald major adept trait Hardening Persistence: This trait does not apply toughness if you use upkeep skills before selecting it. It also doesn’t remove toughness if you select it, activate upkeep skills, then deselect it.
  • Herald major grandmaster trait Soothing Bastion: States that it increases boon duration by 2 seconds while using a shield skill, but does not do this. Tested with resistance, then used a skill – duration did not increase.
  • Glint facets do not work underwater.
  • Glint’s elite does not grant superspeed to yourself.

I found a new bug where if you target your rev skills at 1200 range but they bug and only deal damage at 900 range, you get one gold. This is a great exploit to get infinite gold

I have a bug with the Moot collection – there’s an item to collect from the Reef Drake Broodmother in Southsun Cove, but that enemy does not actually die and leave a corpse. It goes invulnerable, then runs over to a predefined area and drops a world chest. I’ve killed it 3 times and it doesn’t drop its scale (because the drake drops nothing and can’t be looted).

I’ve got a bunch of festival tokens, queen’s gauntlet tickets, I had some scarlet lockbox tokens (from the marionette event, I think) and now a bunch of mordrem blooms. I’d appreciate a subsection of the wallet to store all of these. It would be separate from the main wallet so as not to confuse anybody, and it would only be visible to people who had limited-time event currency in it.

This wouldn’t contain bauble bubbles because super adventure box is never coming back

Love the idea. Tangentially, would love to see something for ascended/legendary equipment that suffers the same fate!

My idea for that was to make the ‘grind’ for legendary armor be tied to unlocking it, so unlocking (for example) the chestpiece would be extremely expensive and time-consuming, but crafting copies of it subsequently would be significantly cheaper (I have alts, after all). And instead of unique skins it would be weightless and let you wear any weight skin on any character (e.g. guardian in leather/cloth). But I digress.

Copper-fed salvage kit, terrace pass, permanent bank/merchant/TP, mystic forge, black lion gathering tools, and the executioner axe for getting around. It’s a lot of things to shift between characters, and I’d really like an account-wide bag where I can access them all without the hassle of moving them in and out of my bank.
