[Influence-Trader] guild initiative office
in Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns

I just finished updating my game and logged in, but there is no influence trader. I also failed to find any useful info in bug threads and to make things worse there is no mention as to whether or not we have to unlock them.
I have 6k in influence that I’d like to spend, but I can’t. I really hope that they bring that trader back and was not a one time deal for those that logged on just as the E-pack went live. I could live with having to do a quest to unlock such an npc, but no info at all???
Yes I searched every room in the office. If that matters.
Were the people that designed the armor in Guild Wars 1 even talked to when deciding to bring in skins like the Profane armor skin? I like the idea of bringing old skins from the first game into the second one, but really?
How does this http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/File:Necromancer_Profane_armor_m.jpg = this http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/File:Profane_Light_Armor_Skin_human_male_front.jpg
I would rather see this http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/File:Necromancer_Elite_Profane_armor_m.jpg
I’m sure a while ago that somebody mentioned this, but I can hardly stand to look at it when players run around wearing this let alone keep quiet about it. I didn’t bother saying anything before, because I thought it was going to get refined. However, it appears that I was mistaken. This saddens me greatly.
Wow that’s a really nice answer. It is a shame that it is now 2014 and the only info that comes up readily anyway about the topic was for a transition period back in December of 2013 which you guys were excited about.
I am going to keep looking for more info and to find the trouble ticket submit form you speak of. Oh this is the first time I had trouble with this pay system of yours. It would be helpful if the system at least told us why the process failed by the way.
Actually I think I might want to know how big Tyria really is. In GW1 they added 2 more continents and still never fully opened up the map. I would like to see them avoid adding more continental maps before they add more areas to the map they already have.
As far as canon arguments are concerned Guild Wars 1 and 2 still have a large amount of freedom to work on their storyline. Pretty much anything in GW2 is all related to the dragons anyway and they are essentially making the story up as they go. So I would say that anyone who wants to argue in favor of canon regulations should go take a breather and get a cup of coffee or tea.
How can the brand new content be regulated by canon standards when Guild Wars has not really been around long enough to fully develop such standards? As long as they keep the story going down the path of dealing with the dragons it will essentially be sticking with the main storyline.
Also Zhaitan is only the first dragon the story introduces anyway. There is one in the sea and one woke up in GW1 after the great destroyer was taken down. Which means there are dragons for 2 elements and we have yet to face them. The map we are presented with in GW2 has room for a water and fire dragon as it is.
Of course I started this topic to talk about the map not the dragons.
First I like the idea of the user being able to get new content just by updating their game when they start up the game. However, one problem that I had with GW1 that I found to be a major disappointment is the lack of content around the world map. That game and from the looks of it even this game only use small portions of the map. I keep wondering what will be in this unused part or that one in the future as far as content goes. I would actually like to be able to explore between 85 – 90% of my world map that is displayed and not just 100% of the available map due to content.
GW2 is a new game so why not start filling in some blank areas. As an example I would like to find out what awaits me in the Crystal Desert. More so than explanations I would like to see content that fills in these clouded over areas. With all of this talk about the dragons I hope that we won’t have to wait until GW3 to face the next dragon since they have woken up already.
I would’ve liked to have been able to inherit the Elite Profane armor and armor sets like it from GW1 for my characters. The last attempt to bring Profane armor into GW2 was a total failure and might as well have rockets added to it since it only looks like it is going to into space and staying there.
I wish I could say that I was happy with many of the armor skins that I have come across, but alas it isn’t so. It seems a shame that I even feel compelled to mention it.
The heritage armor seems to look pretty good, but it is sad that this armor set seems to be among the few that actually look good. I think that armor artwork should have more detail. At the very least players with linked accounts should be able to pass on their old GW1 Elite armor to their GW2 characters.
I also like the idea of adding composite armor, but I think that players should be able to save their new configurations as crafting recipes for future use by their other characters. I also think that they should be able to choose if they want to make these new patterns available to other players. In this form it could be added to the master crafter’s list for everyone to learn. (Master Taylor, etc). These new patterns could be made through a combination of borrowing parts from other armor skins and the use of newly made armor pieces.
