So when you are defeated now, you simply fall down with a thud, no character voice.

I am assuming this was intended, like the removal of the falling sounds, character idle animations, etc.

As a human Engineer with Mortar Kit, combo fields display projectile finishers but they intermittently do not work. Maybe 5% of the time it applies Regeneration, about 20%+ for various other combos.

I tested this extensively in Heart of the Mists, trying to apply Regeneration to both myself and others with the water field/projectile finisher combo.

This has never worked as intended for as long as I can remember.

Human Engineers only have one footstep sound when carrying the tool kit.

When defeated, even by stomping player characters do not display their proper animations or sounds. They immediately appear on the ground on their face. This bug has been around for a while and is confirmed across various classes and races.

3/4 of the idle animations are missing. Humans only brush aside their hair and look around now.

When woodcutting or mining as a Human Engineer with Elixir Gun, the character swings the elixir gun instead of the respective tool.

As a human female (perhaps all races, still testing), sometimes emotes will not play the animation until used a second time.

Also, music from custom playlists is not working.

Once again, animations and sounds of character deaths are bugged. I can no longer hear the pathetic cries of my defeated enemies, and also when I die my character just blinks to a position laying on their face.

I would just like to extend my utmost and heartfelt joy and thanks to you for bringing us the Magnanimous Bell for this Wintersday. It was probably one of the best Christmas gifts I received in an otherwise lonely and disappointing holiday. Hearing all of my favorite playable songs to the sweet tune of this bell brought me immeasurable happiness in this hard time for me. Thank you for bringing us such a great gift to enjoy!

Whenever your armor breaks, it disappears as usual but… when you change maps, or sometimes when generally waypointing a long distance, the armor appears fixed again.

This is frustrating because sometimes at first glance I won’t remember the armor is broken, and will charge into battle naked.

This bug is fixed as of the Halloween patch! Although now the problem is that character voices are very deep, for whatever reason. Female characters sound goofy and slightly masculine when using emotes.

Just wanted to confirm that this is still a bug for me, although the character voices seem to be restored during underwater combat.

The Engineer trait “Deadly Mixture” actually reduces the Flamethrower’s damage by about 25%, according to the tooltip.

I am a level 80 human female engineer, and any combination of traits including “Deadly Mixture” resulted in the same effect.

There is no noticeable increase in damage from the flamethrower while using the trait.

Flute Volume Inaudible

The musical flute toy is extremely quiet, to the point that it can hardly be heard. If I am playing with anything less than maximum instrument volume, I can barely hear it. Also, if I am playing my flute and CAN hear it, I will hear a distant (1200+ range) harp player at a louder level of volume than my flute. It makes it almost impossible to play the flute at a comfortable hearing level, without making the harp and bell instruments an uncomfortable/painful level of volume.

Ever since the patch, player characters don’t seem to make noises when they die anymore. This is bad because when you’re trying to take out a stealth character, sometimes it’s difficult to tell when you’ve disposed of them. Especially since you also broke EXP gain in WvW.

Not to mention that several months ago, you broke the sounds characters make when they’re holding an item and jump up and down.

Hmmm… It seems that anything I say here might be taken as an Outline for How to Get By With Swearing.

But in the spirit in which the question was asked, and in a general sense, we are all gamers, and we all understand the occasional “slip of the tongue.” Dropping a Naughty Word Bomb can be overlooked from time to time, it all depends on the circumstances, whether it was targeted or not, and exactly what was said.

Clearly, “Oh #(*%^, we lost” is entirely different than “You are a #*% @)%$&-ing @O%&(^.” Not just because of the increase in words, but because it’s directed at an individual.

My best suggestion: Think before speaking. It’s really that simple. If you can’t say it at work, in school, or around your sainted Aunt Bessie, you should resist saying it public channels. And to predict the question, yes, we’re more lenient in what is said in Guild Chat, as long as those listening are ok with it and do not report it. Reported offensive chat via any in-game medium is reviewed and has the potential for being acted upon.

NA-Skilled/exp'd player seeking WvW action

I’ve been on Tarnished Coast since I started the game over a year ago, but I am willing to transfer elsewhere after the tournament ends if I’ll find what I’m looking for. I’m looking for a WvW guild that does small to medium scale roaming/skirmishes/special ops etc. Being in T1 has me burnt out on zerg/blob fighting, there’s really no interest left in that.
Also, while I have no problem with 100% representation IN WvW, I do still have other guilds that I play with in PvP and PvE content on an occasional basis.
I’m a very skilled player, despite only being involved in WvW for about 2 months of my year of playtime now. I’m rank 240 with well-allocated WvW trait points, and I am skilled in a variety of classes that I have leveled and fully geared.
I am most skilled with Engineer, over 1400 hours of play including practice, dueling, and roaming. I’ve been trying new things constantly and improving my play -to this day-. Could provide more details on traits/etc if you’d like. For other Lv80 classes, in order of most to least skilled: Warrior, Mesmer, Guardian, Thief.
I have a quality headset and all VoIP programs and would love to partake in voice communication. I even do voice acting, and singing! My availability is usually late nights, but also early morning. So I’ll say 10:30pm-4:00am Central US as my main availability slot, and from 10:00am-1:30pm Central US as my secondary availability slot.

Ever since the April 15th patch, I’ve noticed that the flute is not only considerably less responsive, but sometimes simply erratic in its note reaction time and accuracy. This results in many awkwardly timed notes played when I’m hitting the keys just right, and it throws me off.

The harp has always been like this, but mostly because of the animation.

Just for the record, I assume full responsibility for what I did and this is not an appeal.

I was suspended for 3 days for using foul language. I have done this on several occasions openly, and only now was finally punished for it.

My question is: Is this 3-day suspension my punishment for every instance of my inappropriate behavior up until this point? So as long as I don’t do it again I should not have to worry about being suspended again?

First of all, I’d like to say that whether or not you intentionally changed the flute’s delay mechanic, I love the change and it makes it a lot easier to play complicated songs. So thank you for that.

Now the problem is that the flute seems to become unplayable if you play notes, and then pause for a few seconds. The note bar appears to flip over, and then becomes unresponsive. This can be remedied by putting the flute away and taking it back out, until the next time the bug happens.

I can confirm this problem, I’m having it too.

When I talk to him, I get this weird popup in the middle of my screen with karma/gold/ “Available”.
