Pre-HoT you could get spirit shards for leveling up past 80. When half of the reward for doing events i s the XP, it feels like it’s going to waste. At least with the spirit shards it’s something.
I love JPs and I could do any of them any day with little exception (Portmatt should be an explorer achievement!) CoT changed my view on jumping puzzles. Most JPs will have you saying “Oh, the path is clearly this way” The tougher ones will force you to ponder, “Well, is it this way or that? Or I could go over…”
Chalice of Tears leaves your mouth agape with little more to say than: “How in the deepest pits of Primordus’ fiery kitten did the devs think of that way as a path?!”
Sure, I like a good challenge, but finding the route in this JP is simply illogical. The challenge was not in the skill and precision required to be used, but the downright confusion of the nonsensical zig-zag gliding.
Obviously there are players who’ve tried and documented every stabilizer combination, just to come up empty-handed. Possibly we are supposed to do it in a certain order? Auris’ dialogue has some seemingly inconsequential numbers, and I can’t seem to find evidence of anyone diving deeper into this mystery of why we even got a class-2 in the first place…
But then again, if we hadn’t figured it out by now, wouldn’t ANet have given us a nudge?
I only hope they kill off Marjory because I’m sick of hearing her absolutely monotone voice. Does her voice actor ever exercise more than one chord?
Some of the mordrem bloom rewards have been on the gem store recently so it’s possible, but I doubt the selfless/thoughtless potions will follow up.
I did season 2 for the first time yesterday and I have to say it’s the worst fight in the whole thing. I could memorise its patterns of attack and avoid them, but by the six it has too much health and no mechanics to kill, you just gotta go ham on it for a long time. At that point, I was fully convinced my allies were bugged and supposed to help, but nope!
I think ANet like the idea of Living World having some kind of permanent effect
As of yet, the choice has no impact on any story. To be honest it probably wont either
I don’t know, this Priory versus Consortium thing has been a fairly major part of Current Events. There was choosing a side for ley-line coalescences. There was choosing a side for handing in those ley-line things that were in BL chests briefly. Now this?
Besides, the only good the Consortium has ever done was rebuild LA, and I’m unsure even of why they’d do that. Even if the Priory is corrupt somehow, I don’t know how they’d gain from letting you keep the shadowstone…
Something’s going very wrong and needs to change…but I’m not sure this is the right thing to do. As many people say, there is a lot of content which was promised in HoT but was cut, however I am disappointed since I thought that was behind us and the new set of 16 legendary weapons would survive the cutting room…eventually, anyway.
I’m not sure how you will compensate for this ‘content debt’, but a lot of players are unhappy.
And to the people who are saying “just pull the gem store guys out and put them on legendaries”: Do you honestly think that a few people who make kittening skins are gonna be able to create 3 difficult and unique collections for 14 weapons, which live up to the ones that took months to make for the specially-chosen legendaries team?

It is kinda sad how other races don’t have many seasonal celebrations or festivities. I mean, the charr could definitely celebrate the victory of the charr rebellion led by Pyre Fierceshot over the Flame Legion. The sylvari, being a very new race, could potentially celebrate the emergence of the Firstborn. The asura could remember the loss of the dwarves, I dunno for them really? Then…the norn’d probably just get drunk once a year.
Doesn’t seem necessary in all honesty. You never really hold bundles for very long, it isn’t very hard to just hit the ‘I’ key and double-click, and nothing similar has ever been implemented (except maybe Zephyrite crystals, which were relatively limited).
