I mean did they make the leagues to separate the pros from the rest? The good from the not so good? Or is meant to be some sort of fun to attract people in pvp? Because if is the latter I think they are achieving exactly the opposite

Class stacking, every day in most matches. Is not just the daily though I think is also the league achievements making people play classes that they don’t know well but yes Is not balanced and game enters you in matches that you cant win

I started playing ranked about 2 weeks ago using a meditrapper DH and had 21 win streak with it, lost 3 games because of a 3v5, 4v5 dc player situation but after that im having another win streak of 9. I didn’t whine, since when talking about facts is whining? I don’t claim to be perfect but many teammates I been matched with are totally ignorant of the game. Some listen some not when try to advice. Example : plz don’t zerg svanir we need to cap enemy has all points….none cares they keep zerging svanir . Plz try hold middle don’t walk away and don’t fight at nowhere…none cares, leave mid and going away from any point fighting .Plz don’t rush alone in mid vs 3-4 of them you will die….running straight at mid and dies in 3 secs etc etc… some will listen some not. As I said I don’t mind losing when we tried and failed but some just don’t bother . Some even trolling one guy appointed himself team leader and then advised ppl to "stay off point so they can avoid necro traps* yes I know necro doesn’t make traps…is only so much you can do and so much you can explain while fighting to cap points with team that don’t know what they doing vs a team that do

Of course you don’t like its harder to advance for a large portion of the playerbase then season 1. Last season almost anyone could hit diamond or higher through grinding. Just play enough games and with a little luck (a streak of games with higher MMR teammates carrying you etc) and things like no pip loss on close games and multiple pip wins and an eggplant could get to at least diamond in time. Most people don’t want league placement based on skill and while this season isn’t perfect its closer to that then season one was.

At least for me last season was as bad regarding the win/loss/win/loss that didn’t let me progress. I reached sapphire from amber in 3 weeks if remember right and then stopped because I had enough. I find this season worse because the win/loss /win loss is as bad but I also seem to get teams of people than behaving like they never played pvp before way more often than previous season. Also the class stacking is way worse, in emerald/ sapphire most teams have at least 2-3 of the same class(usually nec or dh) or even 4 and this is in most of the matches.

If some guy wants to be in denial regarding the state of DH, thats not really my problem and probably explains why he is where he is and I am where I am.

Thing is , you are focusing so much on the dh you totally losing the point of what I and some others trying to say. Just because you are fine with this season it doesn’t mean other people don’t have issues that want to discuss. Just because other people have issues doesn’t make you superior because you don’t have any. You appear to be arrogant towards other players . If you are that good as you claim to be why don’t you try to advise constructively instead of judging everyone who has different opinion and different game experiences than you. What pros do is not something you should give us as example because we talk about unorganized, random teams, without ts and experience to play together ,made of people who enter solo and try to enjoy pvp.

For example in 10 games they both won 5 and lost 5 but for the A the 5 was a streak so he progressed when for B were not a streak and he didn’t progress. The way I see it both are equal as players? Thanks for the replies. Some got the dh comment wrong. I was trying to continue the talk about bad matchmaking. When the opponent team has 3 dh and mine has 3 thiefs is bad matchmaking and unbalanced class stacking that’s what I was trying to say . And I don’t care about the wings I just like playing pvp and personally used my tickets so far to make mini elegant llama . Is just disappointing to be stuck on same tier after two three days of trying due to win/loss/win/loss. I still want someone to explain how can win with great difference, and then lose with great difference, then win, then lose ….I don’t change within 10 minutes so as I see it must be team issue?

Some people seem to think that only pros deserve to be in pvp and progress in leagues. None is a pro at start, everyone gets better and better by playing . Making pvp unfun for the majority of the players and belittling whoever isn’t pro enough in your eyes doesn’t address the issues with matchmaking. You like it or not only few are really pros and would they like to be left alone because all rest will have enough and leave pvp?

I am not a pro but I am descent player, rank 80, 1k+ ranked games. I find this season very disappointing. I was stuck at last tier on emerald for two days due to win/loss/loss/win etc . Now I am stuck in sapphire for the same reason. The most of matches this season are way too imbalanced. Either win either lose will be 100+ points difference and in some cases 300 + . When the majority of games is like this there is something wrong with the matchmaking. We can not be great one game, terrible the next, great the next etc
Also this season more than any other the teammates are like they never played pvp before. Countless times people fighting off point when enemy has them all, zerging svanir because they find it way more important than capping, avoiding to go on point because *necro on point uses traps * (yes I saw this in sapphire and they were in disbelief when informed that necro doesn’t use traps), rushing alone in middle of 3-4 enemies (sorry you aren’t superman don’t do this) etc etc . In previous seasons still had teams like this but this season at least for me is most of the time.
Another issue is profession stacking. I know about queue times but have to deal with 3-4 necs or 3-4 trap spammers and same time have 2-3 thiefs in your team isn’t exactly balanced. In one occasion the opponent DH actually apologized ( bless ) for the op I can play while afk build. Before you comment that traps can be dodged just think that I can only dodge so many times while have to avoid double trapping and necs and same time trying to res the teammates that rushing into traps and getting downed
You making pvp very disappointing for solo players. It should be simple enough after 2 days to get some win streak enough to get a tier but is just not happening. I don’t want to resort to play a profession /build I don’t like just because is op and can give you pips. This is not skill, and is not fun

Did you check the history to see if you actually deposit them? Also ( I am not sure how it works) as far as I know the scribe uses guild vault mats? Maybe they been used to craft something?

Hey, I want the backpack too. Can’t blame em. Anet locked it behind a GRIND and a TIME wall, not by player skill or effort. So unfortunately, this is what we do. I play pvp a lot, but anet encourages breaking the system (I haven’t yet, getting there. tired of what I have to struggle in) to get that amazing backpack.

I always queue solo and the matchmaking can be terrible. Win/lose/win/lose , it can take forever to progress…That doesn’t make it ok to manipulate the system , for each match you manipulate, there are people on the other team that losing pips because you are a cheater. You don’t like loosing pips and grind but you are ok to inflict that on purpose to others? I have been in matches that was impossible to win , a cheater is a cheater and you cant justify that

update : 2 days later I am still stuck on first tier in emerald with 1 pip…win-lose-win-lose-win-win-lose-lose-win-lose…… also, just lost 2 pips because a war in my team did nothing to help/spend half match afk at start …thanks anet, this surely is loads of fun

I just want to know why climbing to Sapphire didn’t trigger the achievement for crossing two Divisions in Part II. Amber to Emerald is one, right? Emerald to Sapphire is two, but it still says 1/2. So why is that exactly? I know Amber is impossible to drop in, but if it’s not counting as a Division climb to get Emerald, why are Emerald called Division 2, and Sapphire Division 3? I climbed two Divisions as I see it. Through hell I might add, as I only queue solo until/if they ever add Solo Queue and Group Queue.

I think is because you need to complete the part I , in order to start achievements for part 2. The only one that seem possible to get without completing the part 1 first, is the essence collector

…I am back to where I started from. I play solo q, which to clarify, it doesn’t mean that I don’t like playing as a team but as many others I find it more convenient to queue solo.I have about 1k games in ranked and win rate about 50%. I played 25-30 games to go through amber which is fine by me. I wouldn’t mind it if needed even more, at least you know that you will go through at some point . Today i started emerald with 1 pip and 4 hours later I am back at start of emerald with 1 pip. Getting one …. loosing one …. getting 2 (yay)… losing them…one again…loosing all …you get the picture. This is not fun at all, neither encouraging to keep playing. If you decided that making premade teams is the only way to play spvp leagues and stay sane, then just don’t allow ppl to solo q. If you allow it then try to make thinks more fair.

So, instead of accepting what most players enjoy/want and build around it, they removed it completely and try to enforce a certain way that the majority of ppl don’t like … gg

Well, what the title says. I was just wondering what was the reason. It makes sense that solo q people should be against solo q only, and anything else should be on a different q. So why there is mix and match, most of the players myself included don’t seem to like it

just keep playing , it happens to have a string of bad games, as it also happens to have a string of good games

I always play solo, I played about 20 games so far, it seem to be around 50/50 , you get the good matches and the awful matches

Leaderboards hasn’t reset , it seems that is updating starting from where it was last season. Also , you don’t get points for all the matches, only when you win, and you can loose points too

No hackers like that are not on every server or there would have been alot more talk about it.

There has been PPT hackers on all 3 of UW/FoW/BT so he’s actually right about that.

FoW was end of last year to January-ish. After that one got banned it started on UW for about 2-3 months utill that one was banned and since then it’s been on BT. Only thing that’s new with BT hacker is the perma stealth, that never happened before now. If you ask me I think it’s the same guy((s) -since he often has a friend) with a bunch of stolen accounts but it could just be a coincidence that T9 gets all PPT hackers <.<

You are missing the point here. The hackers that briefly appeared in UW and Fow and I am sure there are others in other servers too, didn’t cause the grief that the BT hacker does. There are way more videos, posts and complaints about BT than any other server. This guy followed them from T9 to T8 and he is appearing to be more active, just look how many videos are posted already and is not even a week in the new matchup. This guy isn’t a lonely troll anyone with a brain cell can see that

UW and FoW had to deal with BT for so long and at the end people just stopped playing wvw until we got a different matchup. Yes we still loose greatly to WSR but who cares, wvw is fun again. BT strength when they were vs UW and FoW was their hackers, spies, constantly trolling the spawn with a blob and their numbers which greatly outnumbered us. Now it seems the hacker is even busier because I presume they don’t outnumber so greatly the other two servers anymore. Every time the hacker couldn’t cap in UW bl, because we end up having people in every tower when he was on the map ( as soon as someone approaches he just disappears) the blob was arriving and capping everything, coincidence? The BT and their smiling trolls will say is all down to their abilities and that their opponents will have to “enjoy” the game and stop crying, I will say there is a reason that so many different servers keep complaining about BT

I am sorry but has to be a lol here. I have yet to see [HARD] players that don’t run away from 1v1 or even 2v1. That guild only fights when they are at least double than us. As for bt players generally, sorry but uw and fow always win in small scale fights even if you are double than us. Your skill as a server is to blob people. To give you an example , few days ago we were 3 uw players in a camp in your bl and 6 of you couldn’t deal with us, so after we killed them 3 times you decided to call the blob of 25+ and yet we manage to escape. I wont get bored saying that story, LOL a blob for 3 people in a camp
