King/Queen is European, while Emperor is Eastern(China/Japan..ect).
Different Dialects different parts of the world. Europe Shared power between Man and Woman (Queen/King) while the eastern countries did not. With out force anyway. There is no changing history. If we are going to get all cut up over titles like this, lets stream line it.
Master/Mistress, and remove the rest. But you cannot be neither the Master Nor the Mistress.
But as said above, this title is from a fable/story. Nothing more. Changing or adding another option to it is kinda stupid IMHO.
The Emperor – The Moron who bought Invisible clothing….do you think a woman would be as stupid to do that? Hence why its Emperor and not Empress.
Wow dude your knowledge is impressive.
You ever heard of when Hungary and Austria made a coalition? Was that a monarchy to you? An empire has differing views, political approaches and internal affairs from a monarchy, or kingdom.
That aside, it’d take extra server load to invest into running a gender check for that. To better explain to you, you just asked on a more elaborate tone for more lag.
Emperor is indeed universal, but if you really want “that” title why do you complain about it? It means you want a completely different title altogether. Don’t know if that made much sense.
also, i think the / no emote would have been more universal if it was
“disapproves” rather than “disagrees”
Isn’t that the same thing? I mean in my mind it means the same thing I guess….
Also it needs to work with /facepalm @. And while we’re at it, fix it so that /laugh @ says “… laughs at …” instead of “… laughs with …” because that’s just stupid.
Agreed that it should be targetable same as all emotes. It’d be sloppy and irrelevant if it weren’t xD
And yea, i second the “laugh at” thing since that’s the whole purpose of that emote.
Thanks guys for the replies ^^ I do really hope they add /facepalm, my dungeon runs could use a bit of subtle criticism lol, as I’m sure would suit everyone else’s needs also.
Cheers
Golemancer* I’m sure they’ll do that in a future update probably, no worries.
Please, as the title suggest, give us all a /facepalm emote with animation specific to all classes. Preferably spammable.
IT IS NEEDED.
Thank you for your time.
Mighty bump.
Nobody wants new weapons available for their characters?
Already in game. See moas in Plains of Ashford, they run around. But agreed, they should add larger routes and they should do this for aquatic animals also.
You mean a Template system like in Guild Wars 1? We had that, even saved gear and such to template. The code is still there I have no idea why they removed this feature.
I second your opinion entirely, I’m sick of wasting papers that end up getting lost under the couch lol. While they’re at it they should reinstate dyeable weapons too since they removed that feature as well….
I personally would like to see an individual rating system implemented, but a globally visible one upon some sort of inspection system, just so others may know who to group or not to group with. This’d be especially useful for dungeon runs so we can dish out the bad. But they won’t agree with this since they want casuals to have an equal footing to hardcore players.
If you want to remember who you’ve played with at the moment and wish to invite them later for more, there’s an Add Friend option.
The THC is powerful in this one. Seriously? A weapon that morphs at will? Like those warriors that melee stuff on a longbow?
It’s a creative idea but anything short of a shiny cosmetic item it’d be completely useless for absolutely anything since, as your idea states, it keeps morphing, randomly even. People would never pay for something like that even if it were offered on the Gem Store for cheap.
Now, a weapon that you can morph stats and weapon skills on yourself wouldn’t be such a bad idea
Out of curiosity guys, if you’d change race how would your Personal Story, you know, the one that is at first race-specific qualify? Makes sense to be an Asura in the Blood Legion amirite?
Seriously tho, I second a race change contract that would require Personal Story completion. And also a lot of gems. xD
They did add those banner things that go on your back and I’m sure they’ll add more guild-oriented back pieces in the future. So stuff is bound to pop up eventually if the majority wants it. ^^
Some weapons wouldn’t fit for some classes, like scepter for a Warrior, but I second adding either more weapon choices for each class or selectable weapon skills to avoid repetitive boring useage and more customisation flexibility.
But why unlock them via gemstore? Weapons are an inherent and organic system, and adding gemstore purchased abilities that contribute to the game in a meaningful way would follow a pay to win scenario, something I’m sure the vast majority is completely against, that also including ArenaNet.
Cheers.
Yes I agree on most of these ideas entirely but I don’t think Arena would agree to turning minipets into auto-looters, as great as that may sound. Minis always served absolutely no practical purpose and their sole purpose was either a few Achieve Points or a cosmetic value, something to show off with.
I’d love to see minis become something useful or at least to recieve a slot so we don’t end up wasting inventory slots for our minis, or depositing them accidentaly then having to find a bank.
They could add something like a 800 gem unlock for all minis for auto-looting stuff for you and even other abilities at a slightly steeper price to keep them from being abused. After all, the cheapest minis are around 40 silver which isn’t that much. This is an MMO so functionality costs.
So yes, I second everything up there.
Also, I’m bumping this thread.
Exactly what the title says. I’m not much for an elaborate emphasis on my opinion and yes I understand that new weapons are planned, but I’d like to offer a few suggestions over this, and I’ll try to make them as lore-friendly as possible.
First I’d like to thank the developers for the very mobile and flexible weapon skills already present for each of the classes in game at the moment. Even though some weapons still would in my opinion require a little more balancing to be viable, in about 80% of cases they work very well and each blend into character builds very well complementing the class’ spec. I’ve tried all classes in game up to this point at an extended degree, both PvP and PvE, and in my opinion beyond a few quirky weapons (like torch for Guardian and Ranger) they all help the build adapt to its core functionality, either in a group or in a singular situation.
I’m only going to state several in-mind suggestions here, for several classes i enjoy the most. If anyone wishes they can criticize at will, even in a bashful manner, or add their own ideas.
1. Necromancer – Greatsword
I’d suggest beyond its already current condition heavy focus on all weapons (yes, even for bursters, you do stack vulnerability on an axe so still counts) to give the class a few more gap closers. Giving these in the form of skills would either slow down the build from denying it utilities or debalance it further. In my opinion it’d be best to do this by adding a greatsword which, for all classes that can use it minus Mesmer does have a form of a rush attack that tends to be used to minimise distances to targets. It’d be best to add a gap closer on 3 for this, a basic dagger-like attack on 1 which would culminate in a minor form of lifesteal, maybe a mobility skill on 5 and a supportive darkness combo field on 4, and of course either a bleed or a weakness attack on 2 since it is a Necromancer after all.
2. Elementalist – Sword
Even though the class can conjure weapons for a temporary useage, I believe the Elementalist would benefit from the use of a sword as a permanent weapon. Swords to all other classes got slightly lower damage than daggers or greatswords but offer some form of either condition stacking or mobility skill. It is quite difficult to add a weapon for a class that would have 12 weapon skills off of it, but these should stick to a simple warrior/ranger-esque layout for mimicry.
2.1 On fire the sword could have a cleave attack with a wide air-dagger styled arc, a leap attack that would cause burning for a short duration and a thief deadly blossom type evade on 3 with minor damage to target.
2.2 On water the first skill should be a low damage 600 range water projectile single target attack with a fast firing rate with no inherent conditions. On 2 there should be a dagger fire 3 type attack with a long duration chill and on 3 I’d suggest an instant cone of water in front which would grant regeneration and also heal for a small amount on contact.
2.3 On air the sword should have a stab attack with a 3-skill culmination into a higher damage hit but slower, a teleport with blindness and a 600 range aoe with a one second daze for interrupts.
2.4 Earth should utilize an on-target 300 range AoE with slow attack speed and bleed stacking. The second earth skill should throw projectiles at everything in a 600 range that cripple and bleed and the last earth skill should be a 600 range 2 second stun to target.
3. Thief – Shield
The thief at the moment has a wide range of weapon skills which add a supportive effect to compensate for its low hp, but in my opinion this class would also benefit from a purely defensive weapon. I’d suggest adding a shield as a useable Thief weapon with the following skills: the 4th skill should add a 3 second reflect (4 initiative cost) similar to elementalist focus on earth and the 5th should be a defensive teleport with an AoE 2 second daze field (6 initiative cost).
To complement the other thief weapons for pistol the shield should add a backwards evade leap on 3rd skill similar to the heal, on sword a 3 second block which if triggered would blind the target and on dagger a single target pistol-whip similar attack with an evade, without the initial daze.
Those would be my suggestions. Feel free if interested guys to add your own ideas. Sorry if the post was too long. Cheers.
