Does it active the 3 stacks of might only when using a major heal skill as Renewal and gliph, or it works aswell for skills such as water’s 2 5 and maybe evasive arcana on water attenument?
This signet is still totally worthless. Just a waste as Ele can get perma-swift very easily.
Try to inform yourselves before complaining for an useless signet, lol.
I’m really glad there was no nerf, but instead even some small buffs by bugfixing and improving trait lines.
I love it.
I guess shock aura gives more fury/swiftness because Zephyr’s Boon is an air trait, so the air aura is more powerful for that.
I’ve read somewhere that shock aura is supposed to give 2x time boons from Zephyr’s Boon, so it’s not even a bug.
Nothing is OP in elementalists, and Anet can do nothing to teach you to play against them.
I’ve yet to lose a fight vs a D/D tanky elementalist on my thief and mesmer, as I simply know to dodge their main bursty skills. As their water attenument goes on cooldown they run out of HP really fast.
I still can’t kill some of the most tanky ones, but they can’t kill me either.
Obviously, it’s easier to beg Anet for nerf a class instead of learning how to play, so I can understand you.
Next balance patch: using RTL without a target leads to instant death.
thieves are completely out of control, and eles shouldnt be able to achieve perma swiftness so easily. they gotta give up some tank, or something.
Having the lowest armor and the lowest HP isn’t enought to deserve a good mobility ?
If classes are build to be fast, and able to evade other players, they should have considerably less dps or much more risk for them to strike. They should lose 100% of 1v1 fights if they can move faster.
They have considerably WAY less HP and weakest armor, that’s already a great risk.
Resistence & mobility aren’t meant to be together.
Eles need at least 90% of their build based on resistance, proven by the absolute must have of 30 points in water, 20+ in arcana, and every item giving resistance stats.

That’s next “bug fix” that nerfs elementalist, reducing Aura’s time and probably they also stop counting as boon for Water 25.
Anyway, skill was bugged so it’s alright it gets fixed but…
Why do they only fix bugs that are nerfing elementalist instead of fixing bugs that would make it better? Example grasping earth and RTL that is again bugged (woho, it worked for some weeks, that was great at least)
Based on my experience, since I’m full equip I’ve lost only 2 1v1’s so far;
One was vs a full glass cannon thief, he could daze me and stab me for 8k 4k 4k dmg in an instant, and the rest of the time he was in stealth.
Other one, was vs a warrior that gave me no time to do anything, he made an huge dmg with greatsword (not only HB) and finished me fastly with a gun.
I’m sure there are more classes that can win elementalist easy, but I didn’t fight a really skilled one yet
Let’s say, if played well and with the RIGHT build, elementalist is pretty same if not even more powerful than other classes.
Problem is, except a really few godlike builds, the rest are completly worthless and UP.
Too popular ? I rarely see elementalists in WvW, and most of them are Staff users or anyway nothing more than a 10 seconds pvp material.
I’m playing on Desolation, and nowhere in any of top tier 1 servers, I’ve seen an elementalist surviving a 2v1, without running away.
What daphoenix is doing in his videos is surreal, but it’s just 1 player over 3 millions.
He can easily survive 10+ random players, but I dare any Elementalist to win a 2v1 against a very skilled thief and any other class.
The solution to problems:
1) DPS is reduced because 90% of the build is based on defensive abilities (If it wouldn’t, what for to have in every single item Vitality and Toughness?)
2) His HP regens as fast as counter of weakest armor in game and lowest hp.
3) His DPS is 100% dodgeable, also every burst skill has around 40 seconds reuse.
4) Mobility is great indeed
5) Again, the build is 90% focused on sustainability
Oh yeah, there is one single working build that doesn’t get smashed by every class, they should indeed nerf it and put back elementalist in uselessness.
daphoenix, you play ele perfectly and that’s why that build is so effective, but like that you’re really going to get it nerfed, as crybabies (and sadly developers) will assume every ele can play like that.
Fine with thieves being 90% of the fight in stealth.
Fine with thieves poping out 8k hits in 1 seconds.
But not fine that thair stealth makes them able to run away whenever they get to low hp.
Too annoying to get a thief to 20% hp 5 times for just see him put a stealth bubble and vanish in nowhere.
It was possible, few of my friends looted them with 5 different chars.
Sweetest event ever I’d say, for who got some exploit skills
uhm, what ?
PvP means Player versus Player, and as long as you’re playing against other players it’s PvP, no matter what kind.
And btw: PvP using PvE gears, PvE skills and to get PvE rewards, is what most of MMORPGs are all about since a while.
This was really easy compared to Clock Tower, completed it at second try.
Despite that, it’s always funny to complete new JP’s, it’s what I enjoy the most in GW2, keep going Anet!
Holy kitten! I’m scared to just imagine how powerful and useful conjured weapons underwater are going to be!!!!11one!!11!
@Lopsang
-10 extra water gives 2% extra dmg per boon, and an additional method to cleanse conditions. the 2% extra dmg per boon is extremely useful, especially coupled with runes such as 2 superior runes of monk (15% extra boon duration) and 2 superior runes of water (additional 15% extra boon duration). I find myself stacking 4-5 boons every now and then, and I always have atleast 2 boons up (vigor and might are always up in battle). Other boons such as regeneration, swiftness, and fury are up most of the battle as well, so that gives a total of 5 possible boons unless I’m missing one. 10% extra damage overall to all attunements makes a big difference in battle.
That’s exactly what I base my build on, boons.
The only difference that I keep 6 buffs up adding protection, and keeping it almost perma up with earth rune, spamming auras (with trait V of 10 earth) and healing in earth stance.
That ends up in having a 6 perma buffs, add dealing +12% dmg by water 25 and 33% resist dmg during 90% of the battle.
I’ve tried that in sPvP because I lack of gear in WvW and it works really great, I’ve still to lose a 1v1 since I tried this build
Self-challenge, I always loved beating hard stuff in games, maybe that’s also why I’m playing elementalist and it’s kitten fun.
Hopefully xmas JP will be even harder :>
Nothing more annoying than the 2 thiefs summons already hitting you while real thief still has to render.
Same problem, getting ported back to spawn right after I enter the clock tower.
Sucks.
Awesome JP, expecially because it was actually challenging unlike everything else on this game
RTL looks like fixed to me, I didn’t get stuck anymore while rushing to an opponent.
The only other thing changed is the jump-distance that got shorter, but it has no rilevant importance except for perfoming some cool jumps.
That’s what I noticed, I clearly might be wrong.
GW2 indeed misses some kind of Open World PvP, but limiting it to a new “area” wouldn’t solve the matter.
My wish is that players could get an option to “Enable” or “Disable” PvP in Open World, that would mean a small % of increased MF/gold amount if PvP is enabled.
It wouldn’t bother anyone and meanwhile it would lead to random solo-PvP or organised Guild Wars, as the game says, freely playable anywhere on the map.
(I think there’s an option like that in WoW aswell, but can’t be sure as I never played it)
I noticed that aswell, elementalists are winning PvPs by surviving their opponents and dealing mid-continue damage.
For that purpose, you need a lot of survivability, that’s why bunky-builds aren’t that bad in elementalist.
Sadly that should be limited to 1 weapon, not for every weap that elem can use, and there should be at least 1 weap focused on burst damage, which actually we miss.
