The mortar could use a range buff. I was disappointed in not being able to hit anyone when I was using it in WvW continually.
auto defense net turrets arena net. Do it
Auto Defense Turrets during down state would be epic.
Overall, I believe the downed state of the engineer leaves something to be desired, even though we have two forms of CC that can be combo’d well. It still, IMO, could be better.
Personally, Just seeing games and wins isn’t enough for me, I would like to see the following stats added to the sPvP tab:
1. Win Ratio (Total/Per Class)
2. Average Points per game (Total/Per Class)
Even though you can figure these out just by keeping numbers, this is just a small request so that we can just look up our stats instead of keeping them, I know there are these kind of stats in many other PvP games, so can we get them into this one?
/team is for team only chat
/map is for both team chat100% works
/say is also both teams I believe, but only in close range.
I personally have not felt the need to use grenades, though the pros of them can be great in PvE, if you spec into them, it is really about changing your style, if you feel forced, change up everything, from skills to the way you play, each kit needs a slightly different playstyle, and you need to adjust with each kit.
Now that I think about it, I agree, I jumped too early at the thought of starting Meta. How bout we turn this into thinking about what could be good combos after some initial balancing?
Bah.. Did you consider the Guardian? Almost impossible for a thief alone to bring down a ‘’never-ending self healing machine’’ .
Thus the engineer? An engineer only needs to lay some mines and 2 turrets to evaporate some of the Mesmer’s illusions.
I believe the system is balanced and people should test different ways, weapons, tactics in game which suits each situation.
I agree, people also need to learn about how to deal with the “overpoweredness” of these classes, quickly killing illusions leaves the Mesmer almost defenseless, throwing some continuous CC on a thief will stop it dead. (as with probably all other classes)
Yes, some classes can’t fight each other. It really comes down to builds and playing your classes so that you are overpowered.
Sharks are OP, this we can see, but most of the time, on medium armor classes, I can usually take the point from the enemy (full) by kiting around the point and using my heal skill at the right time.
They could use an adjustment in damage, but don’t nerf the heck out of them to the point that they are worthless.
I think the fight is fine as it is, but this is a good suggestion to input, say, into a test version of GW2 to see how it goes, and then modify it and implement it into the game, good thing you guys bugged early, I beat the Eye, and then nothing. Best time to bug… ever >.<
> other classes can CC you so can’t even take them down.
This is where I concluded that your opinion was silly. Excluding Mesmer and Thief—in the worst case scenario where you don’t have quickness/stealth/etc, and even assuming they use their cc ability at the last possible millisecond to buy time, you still have enough time to walk back over and finish them before their number 3 recharges. That’s by design. This is, however, much more difficult in a team fight when their team protects them from stomps, but that’s also by design, and creates a new dynamic to fights that I think is very welcome. You should bring some kind of invulnerability or whatever to help you with these stomps, its part of the dynamic of the fight (and they are useful abilities to have anyway). Yes thief and mesmer downed are annoying, maybe a little bit too annoying, but it should be that way. It should be just barely difficult enough so that solo you usually get the stomp, but if they have their team they may rally. If you brought your appropriate utility skill to facilitate stomping then it’s nearly guaranteed however.
Could not have said it better.
People need to be smart about their Utility skills, think Utility, not “what helps me dps,” or “what helps me CC better,” or Etc. Think Utility. Should I take that extra CC skill? or should I take that skill that keeps me from being CC’d. Simple choices like these can make or break the game.
Hello
I have noticed a two problems with FT:
1) Its really hard to hit most of the structures… you have to find a perfect spot, otherwise all attack will miss.
2) There should be default setting to auto-attack after equiping kit.
Its REALLY not funny clicking ctrl+rmb on skill “1” 300 times per day :/
I have noticed FT on structures can miss a lot, but it really doesn’t bother me.
Number 2 does kind of need to be implemented, since I don’t feel like pressing the combination, I just spam press the “1” button over and over to treat it like an auto-attack.
Been going with pistol/shield, condition build so far. But i’ll have to try this out considering as I rank up and people get better at the game I have a feeling a lot more ppl will be taking condition removal.
CD/Pistols and Pwr/Rifle seem to work really well in sPvP to be honest.
Can’t wait to try out this build among the others I have seen all over the internet!
If we were just to argue over Pets > Suit, pets would win, an extra man to do dps/ take damage is always welcome
correction: Engineers are full of win but need some fixes
sPvP: nothing i can’t solo
Someone hit the nail on the head…
I think we all agree that these need to happen, since beta, I have pondered about making sPvP better, and this puts it all on one list, lets push for this and hopefully we will get it implemented!
I agree with this, though I am more of the roamer type, Those tanky guys that sit and defend points need more love!
