I’m flattered you thought we had that many :P We took hills with 2 golems and maybe 6 people escorting, but I have to say it was fun farming SF for the next 3 hours even though you had 3 times as many. Next time you should use your superior tactics to build more siege, maybe more omegas to take the south west camp, lol.

I specifically counted from up on the garri wall. Excluded the pets. There was about 20 ET and only 7 of us there to defend. Of course you guys didn’t push the gate after fighting the guards and retreated back for whatever reason. Perhaps I’ll take a screenshot next time, you might actually be astounded. I was.

I agree with Mosharn… You guys were good on week 4 because you had everyone on the game still thinking you could win the league. At week 5, you fairweather base gave up and you lost most of your number (thus why your week 5 was horrendous).

Numbers dictates this game. No tactics can win a matchup against a server that can easily overwhelm you.

In other words: ET can even try Blackgate tactics, but if SF just come and zerg us with big numbers and no tactics at all we’ll still lose.

I’m really glad you learned to express your opinion, and Imma let you finish, but SF manhandled your BL yesterday and you should get better instead of whining about it.

After getting together all 6 able-bodied WvW players, we tried for 3 hours to take back any of our keeps, but your blob of 40+ would track us down and wipe.

Switched to your borderlands, where us 6 once again tried to take a camp and then a keep, but it turns out you -also- have a 30+ zerg on your borderlands!

Took the 6 to Kain’s border then, and took some camps before finding out that even with the numbers you have in the other two maps, an entirely separate guild is rolling around Kain’s with 20 dudes as well.

Numbers are tactics, and thus, you are the superior players.

I could say that FC is a coward server because everyone I ran into ran away from any 1v1 or even some 1v2’s when they started to die. But I won’t because I haven’t been down here very long and I’m sure FC has some great roamers.

If you want to see a 50 man group, go into tier 2. You’ll easily tell the difference between 25 man zerg and 50 man zerg, or did you mean 60? Sorry, I’m trying to keep up with your indecisiveness.

You can also run turrets while using the Hylek turrets. It will allow less people to have to focus defending you, not to mention all your utilities can be in use while operating them.

With a turret set-up, I think engies should be using the Hylek turrets.

You know, if you’re looking for Ebay’s skill groups, I think currently we have about 3 that run 15+. Just an fyi, Ebay BL isn’t the best place to start looking for them, so your bad, now you know. The ADBsty guys were on SoS BL along with HAWK for a while mixing it up with mags and SoS there, while you were screwing around with siege and whatnot. Next time just ask around to see where the fights are. Also, the server generalizations in this matchup are so boring.

We wiped twice tonight, so ya. Idk, we value open-field shenanigans more than PPT siegewars garbage. Case-in-point we ran at near a queue of SoS on their BL tonight to try and wipe them at least 3-4 times between WK and Garrison. We didn’t wipe them, but I think we’d end up downing at least a good 20-30 before having to dip back into the keep due to about half our group dying. The fights were good, too, and lasted at least 5 mins each. Better than having to treb down EBay’s towers/keeps to try and goad them into responding.

Lastly, if we’re so bad, why not come and fight us open-field some night? Ark raids every single night with 15-20 people and we’re ALWAYS looking for some good non-siege-related fun. We’ll even have some of our people sit out if you can only muster 10-15. Just toss one of us an in-game PM and we’d be happy to meet up. I’m not joking, either. We fought DR from BP several times last matchup in a scrim-like atmosphere because they asked us if we were interested.

Not sure if you know this, but on the gw2gvg website GF’s guild contact is Kiliaan.1934 so all match questions should only have been with him before the actual match.

Also on the gw2gvg website, the match was scheduled to be 15v15 not 20v20 so there should have been no confusion there.

It is common practice for both guild drivers to agree on a start time based off the server clock during a gvg match, even in a practice or scrim.

Seeing as that didn’t happen, most of the GF were afk when you guys pushed into them as seen in that video with only a couple responding right off the bat. In a lot of other GvGs I’ve been in and watched, if one side is afk or have not responded the attacking team will back off, because you know, it’s the logical thing to do.

Seeing as you guys didn’t even have the common decency to do that, of course other people are going to jump in because that’s pretty dirty on your guild’s part. And even at that, a lot of the Ebay on the sidelines didn’t even jump in right away, so idk why there is any confusion about why you guys believe someone “jumped” you.

Both sides had people jump in from the sidelines, it’s what happens in a brawl when kitten hits the fan.

You can’t reason with him, he’s gone into total desperate illogical troll mode, a fragile attempt to save his ego after getting skunked both in game and on the forums.
He’ll just resort to hiding behind his SEA coverage, ignore all of his failures the passed couple days, and boast about PPT in a GvG conversation.

Got scared and chickened out of a GvG, tried to jump GF with a video recording active to try and look cool, that back fired on them.

Ehmry in SoS BL last night. We held their Hills for hours with right around five people (almost constantly outmanned) and almost had the place fully fortified by the time their ridiculously large zerg came around

In fact, after no less than a dozen failed attempts at ramming, catapulting, and trebbing Hills, the final fight was something like 10v50+ after the keep was fully starved of supply and they knocked down the wall from NE camp’s cliffside with not one but three trebuchets after their entire zerg came to tear down the siege along the wall. And do you know how SoS was forced to take down the inner gates? Slow, tedious PvDoor…against TWO doors at once because they couldn’t face all ten of us in the same place without getting pushed back to the walls.

So Jinks is right: The one and only reason they got their Hills back – and succeed as a server against NA ones – is because of overwhelming numbers while the enemy is sleeping. I had a blast holding Hills the other night; to all of the chest thumpers pointing at the actual score, I lol’d. Fun fights, great night overall, and kitten did I see just what I needed to see. XD

Oh ya I remember u guys sitting on hills for hours strait, we would go there with 10 ppl and suddenly there would be AC’kittenting us from all over the place, so we just moved on. If EBay’s definition of fun is just to sit on AC’s for hours on end, I am glad I am on SOS. At least Kain came out to fight when we tried hitting bay, props to CNB for always coming to the open field.

Lol. It’s no secret that, yes, you guys have no populous at night, and yes, it is easy for our AUSSIE PRIMETIME players to win in their PRIMETIME. You guys seem so stuck on the whole “boohoo you guys nightcap us” thing and still don’t realize it’s a coverage game. The fact is that we have about the same ratio of players on at different times. And you guys have even more than we do. Why is it that somehow us taking your stuff during Aussie time gets us further in points and you, having the same numbers we do on Aussie whilst on NA can’t do the same? Yes, we do “PvD at night” by your (kittened) terms. Pretty sure you have a lot of PvDing during NA/SEA time versus us sometimes as well, though I might be wrong because SoS actually can defend with a small force.

As towards the second statement. Really Jinks? REALLY? I have no clue what I’m talking about? Pretty sure that there hasn’t been many instances where we’ve had even numbers vs you guys and most of them have boded well for us, you’re welcome to check the past threads of our match-ups to confirm that. And even on a more singular level, I know guilds and players here that are dangerous as hell. Started off the night meeting FTF in CD BL south camp where both teams shook hands and danced a bit

Then it seemed like we got painted with a target as FTF and Ash teamed up to kill the 13 [SIC] that were on the map.

Enjoyable fights none the less.

We probably just happened to come along at that time and attacked any red names we came across, regardless of who was there or not.
Ash wasn’t really specifically hunting anyone down, but I have to say I had a lot of fun during reset night.

We had a tuffle or two with RET as well, fun fun fights.

Umm, I dont really see this as an excuse. YB has always been a more PVE oriented server, so we have the same issues as you, people farming champs.

What I am wondering, is if Ebay had transfers off or not. I know YB lost RAM to FA, but I wasn’t aware of EBay loosing anyone.

It appears by all intents and purposes, YB has held on to SM and Overlook for a long period of time, as both have fully upgraded walls and tons of supply. That is not something that I have seen in darn near 6 months.

Rekz and VS transferred off our server.
Also, due to the many weeks in a row of fighting tier 2 servers, all the fair weathers have run off as well.

We lost 2 guilds and many many pugs.

Fun reset tonight! Shout out to [Rag] from Yaks. Had fun with the few tuffles we had with you guys, I think we broke even in the end.
We learned a few things that we need to work on, good luck for the rest of the match up!

WvW can get a little stale after dealing with the same equipment after almost a year.
I think spicing it up with some new toys can not only change the pace of the game but also bring in some new strategies outside of the current ones that seem kind of just like a rinse and repeat.
I came up with a new siege weapon this morning after having a little crazy dream. When I woke up and logged on today, the idea kind of sprouted from it.

The design would be similar to a tank, I think with the introduction of the Aetherblade and their steampunk styled ways that the base of the tank itself could be of steampunk design. The cannon on top being very similar to the cannon you can find being used against Teq. (See picture below) But down sized to fit the tank itself. Though I’m sure it could be altered, this is just an idea after all.

The size would probably be about half the size of a siege golem and it would be a mobile anti personnel weapon. The cannon itself would require line of sight aside from it’s 3 ability, so long as you’re far enough back that the shot won’t hit anything. Here were my idea’s for it’s abilities.

2 second global cooldown

Ability 1: Power Shot – Slightly less range than a keep cannon – 1 second cast – deals about 4-5k damage – moderate projectile speed (Slower than a ballista or cannon shot) (3 second cooldown)
Ability 2: Radiation Shot – Same range as power shot – - 1 second cast – deals about 2k damage – moderate projectile speed (Slower than a ballista or cannon shot) – Poison field (4 second duration) (9 second cooldown)
Ability 3: EMP shot – slightly less range than Power/Radiation shot – 2.5 second cast – Deals about 1k-1.5k damage – Slow projectile speed and high arc – 3s daze on impact (25 second cooldown)
Ability 4: Empty
Ability 5-1: Deploy – Makes the MAC stationary (Similar to how a siege tank would in starcraft) – 4 second cast – MAC does not suffer damage or knock back when firing
Ability 5-2: Undeploy – Replaces Deploy when Deploy is used – 4 second cast – Makes the MAC mobile – When undeployed and fires a shot, the MAC suffers 400 knockback and 10% max HP damage.

Little more HP than a ballista.
Requires 70 supply to build normal – 110 supply to build superior.
10% damage vs Doors and Walls – 40% damage vs other siege weapons.
Moves as slow as a siege golem (No energy when inside, so no dodge running)
Can be used with Portals.

If you look at the start of this thread, the people I’m assuming your referring to as the “forum warriors” from ebay are actually the only ones talking on ebay’s side. Which leads us to assume these people were speaking on behalf of your server, which is something I believe a few dragonbrand members posted about. But that being said I’m glad to see that not all ebay members are like this, and it is possible to have a civilised conversation without it resulting to childish name calling, and circle logic.

I admit I may have fueled the trolls on this thread, and for that I apologise. I did get angry and you can see that in my first forum post on these forums back in page 4. That being said it seems the truer representative of the ebay server have showed up now, so I would like to ask why you didn’t step in earlier or deal with these “forum warriors” in private? I only ask because it was mentioned your a unified server now, so I would assume you would be able to persuade them into it.

I believe you have the wrong approach to the forums. Words can mean a lot, and evidently things can get VERY heated. But I’m going to reiterate, these forums are for constructive criticism, and all posts should be written and read accordingly.

There is no way you can permanently stop someone from doing what they want to do unless you’re a Dev/Moderator. I can simply talk to them and that’s it, whether they continue to troll or not is ultimately their choice. When I say unified, I’m talking about internal drama. We no longer fight amongst ourselves and we are all on friendly terms with each other, working together in a much more unified fashion instead of just doing stuff on our own because of the drama that was keeping us apart. Whether we’re unified outside of our server with other servers is a completely different story.

Trolls will be trolls and unless you have banning power, there is no true way to stop them should they decide to keep going. I have no interest in the qualm’s with other servers, so long as the people standing beside me on the battlefield are on friendly terms and we work together. I’m perfectly content.

I wouldn’t say there is ever a “True” representative of Ebay. We have trolls, we have friendlies, we have loners, and we have Lions Arch rats (People who just sit in LA and talk all day) just like every other server. Sure some servers have to be provoked in order for those people to show and some are far more active, but they are there.

The only reason I truly decided to post here to was show that Ebay isn’t as bad as you think. Our forum group might be extremely aggressive, but the forums will never ever speak for a whole server, just a tiny part of it.

Scouting report on SBI if either of you two draw them next round.

Think of them as BP from 17-18 weeks ago. Big and disorganized that throws numbers @ problems.

-They will send a 40 man zerg to take a paper tower, if that failed, 50, if that fails 60…etc.

-No major guild, open field, think of them one large 80 man zerg. They can cause SM level lag fights in your borderland.

-Poor open field, if you can live past the lag, you should win.

-They love SM and will ignore their own BL if they own SM.

- They are about the same size as BP/Ebay as far as population, just lack any coordination.

-They can field 80+ @2am.

The zerg will move on from defended targets, but can chew thru reinforced gates if nobody is watching.

I think fighting any of these servers would be awesome and a close match.
This week has been really refreshing and a lot of fun, now I’m craving a match up that has all three servers on their toes and neck and neck.

I really enjoy this match up except one thing.
Roaming is virtually impossible.

I’m glad for the fun and awesome fights FA and Mag have brought too us after the stale 13 weeks of boring PvDooring we were forced to do since everyone sat in towers, even with three times our numbers, but I’m starting to miss the lowerish pop servers where I could roam and have decent fights without running into 10+ man groups every 20 seconds.

Anyways, I’m still enjoying this match up and having actual fights is much better then fighting towers, walls, and arrow carts 24/7. Cough BP Cough

Good god! The best night in WvWvW I’ve had in over 3 months! Just being out of that stale boring match up has me pumped up and ready to go.
We went to Mag BL and from the get go we were getting sandwiched from both FA and Mag.
You guys had me on my toes the whole time and it’s such a nice breath of fresh air to fight people so coordinated and fierce.

Please please please, I beg of you! Keep doing what you’re doing Mag and FA. You guys just relit my WvWvW fire!

Usually by 9pm PST, everyone would be getting bored and going to sleep. I had my entire squad pumped and ready to go at that time. We were having a blast.
This game’s fun factor just increased tenfold. Thank you for the wonderful night.

P.S.: You don’t know how much I’ve missed those open field fights. BP and AR never came out of their towers to play and even when they had triple our numbers would sit in a tower and just arrow cart us.

Wexp is based on how long the person has been alive. Should you kill someone who hasn’t died in WvW in a long time they will be worth a good 60 Wexp, but should you kill someone who has died very recently, you’ll only get about 4-7 Wexp. In order for it to match capping a tower, if depends on how long these people that you’ve killed had been alive before then.

At a minimum Wexp gain per kill, you’d need a 19 man zerg to match a tower capture, and of course kill them all, meaning none were able to flee and get away.

I think he might be referring to mains, I’m sure almost everyone here has some kind of 80 thief or ele in their character list. (If not, then one on the way up)
Almost everyone I know does anyways, though they main warriors, necro’s, engi’s, etc.

I’m having the same issue right now. I was on earlier this morning and was perfectly fine. I go to log in just a few minutes ago and I can’t get over 15 FPS no matter where I am or what my settings are. I normally get 60 FPS.

I came in here to congratulate DR, we miss them up here in T5 (<3 ADQQBsty). But after reading through this thread, I really wish I was here. The T5 thread is chalk full of mud slinging and trash talk that it just gets annoying and boring after a while, all the friendly posts get engulfed in the darkness and are never seen again. Yet most of the posts here look friendly and fun. (There will always be at least 1 forum warrior though)
