I want to say “thanks”, “danke”, “gracias” to all the players who have invested and have played in this tournament.

Guild Wars 2 is not perfect (scoring, population imbalance) , but the players make it interesting and fun to play.

Personal thanks to players of Baruch Bay, Far Shiverpeaks, Riverside (Flussufer), Kodash, and Elona Reach (Elonafels), to NUDE (FS), dF (FS), TA (Elonafels), ODS (the stealthy guild of hell on Baruch Bay), RED (BB), BORN (BB), MERC (BB).

Respect to Desolation, enduring heavy focus and continuing to fight.

And special thanks to La Estirpe Olvidada [LEO] (BB) and Elona Night Watch [ENW] (Elonafels), for their hard work and all the fights. Respect to their investment and dedication.

This is because all play the game is if it’s fun, in victory or defeat. There were times of frustration, often fun, rage too. But behind each character, there is a player. That’s an MMORPG. And thanks to the opponents that you can play.

P.S.: The ranking is not important, it is the intensity of the games that was the real reward of this tournament.

Without geopolitics and talking about individual performance the league should have finished something like:
1- Vizuna
2- SFR
3- Piken
4- JS & BB (almost equal in performance)

But geopolitics matters in a 1 Vs1 Vs1 match….
There are two good news:
1- More rewards to more people.
2- Jade and Baruch improved a lot during the last weeks, so we will give good fights to the top3 during the second league.

Poor PS, they were doomed before the league started.

As the only Server Piken had to fight SRF and VZ 6 times over these 7 weeks while Jade Sea faced them only 3 times. How can such unfair matchups considered to be a frame for a competitive Contest and I am sure we are not the only example. I would really appreciate an answer from a Developer about this.

JS faced to SFR 2 times, VS 1 time and Piken 1 time. Top3 on 4 matchs. And only 1 match against “lower” opponent (JS/Kodash/AR).
RS and ER were 4th and 5th before the season, remember that… So, basically, 6 matchs against stronger servers than JS, before the league.
And what about SFR? 3 hard matchs only, including one with Piken/RS. If JS have lost against SFR/ER, it would have been the same…

JS hasn’t an “easy” way. Piken just had the hardest way of all servers, in this gold league. Piken deserves top 3, that’s true. But maybe only top3 must have “easy” way, never face each other, and others servers must lose all the time… Or like NA, a gold league just for VS/SFR/Piken…

ER lost Valley during the night, after many assaults. They fought all along the night.

But, yeah, something changed yesterday: We stop the “stupid” focus on ER.

We aren’t specially “better” or “stronger”; Many blob of ER or RS burst our PUg blob manytimes (we win too, manytime). But you continue to denigrate constantly as if you were superior in every way. It was just the nightcapping, the only reason for defeat. This is not the case.

I don’t blame RS for AV guild (or GCD), but you reset many keeps and tower T3 (JS or ER), “thanks to them” …

I can’t say, but i can see it in game, on the battle. Many guilds still fight, but something is missing … Pick Up roam to get success, not to fight … not to get camp or tower…

What’s happened, Myrmidone? JS is a PvE and RolePlay server. We have a high population, but they didn’t come in WvWvW. We draw some players of PvE and RP in WvW since few months, gradually.
We fight with a full commitment just now. But fortunately the league ends because we start to tire …

I have respect for Elona, both in their strength in battle, in self-denial among some players. You made me angry sometimes, but I respect you. You are so few now, in day, compared to few months ago.

Good night everyone! I get the lead on EBG yesterday, 22h30 GMT+1. I let it just now. 24h of game, since 15h30, to get a great moment.

JS fought with heart, and i’m proud of this! It was really kitten EBG. ER and SFR are really stronger opponents. You pushed JS tap into unexpected resources. It was a great match.

And if I was so angry against ER yesterday, it’s because I consider ER as the sworn ennemy of JS, since March, and a powerful opponent who doesn’t need help to fight us.

As i said before , ER dont got the coverage to get 2nd place. But SFR did some calculating:

SFR 21 Points + 5 This week +1 next Week ( if vizu + Piken double Team them again) = 27
JS 19 Points + 3 This week + 5 next week = 27

So in the End they decided , they didnt want to share 2nd Place overall with JS and judging on their strength compared to JS, they are probably right.

Your math is right, you are just mistaken on one thing. We are not doing this because we don’t want to share second place with JS but because letting JS 2nd this week would mean than Piken would get the Bronze reward. And there is no way we’ll allow them to get any reward.

JS right now is merely a collateral damage from the bief between Piken and SFR.

If JS and Piken are ex-aequo, Piken cant have Bronze reward (4th place).

I think you forgot (or not even noticed) how you won the first week and as a consequence overestimate your power a bit.
We may end as looser next week, if both will focus us, but still we would be able to decide who will be 1st and who will be 2nd.

Your safest (only?) way to win next week is to not bring up one server against you, but let us fight the german ranking undisturbed. If you intervene decisively into the german-german fight, both may turn against you to punish you for the sponged victory in the first round

You havent holidays next week. Unlike the first match. And you will not have SFR to open doors for you. Don’t you even notice it?
