I made two entries for it, but on the second one I made a mistake and sent the file as “Felix2” instead of “FelixSecond” like the rules said.

I’ve just re-sent that entry with the correct name, but just to make sure, will that validate it, or does it no longer count?

And furthermore, since that makes it technically three files I’ve submitted, does that mean I’ve already reached the limit, even though two of those are the same?

Could be worse, the spanish translation is “Azotador”, which while matching the most common word used for scourge (“Azote”) it pretty much sounds like “Beater”

If the patchnotes say she’s moved back to Frostgorge, do we still have to wait for days to be able to complete Transfer Chaser?

I’d assume it normal when you consider this IS a preview of what is to come. Of course there is very little map or content, can’t spoil the whole thing right away

Disgusting turn of events. Really turned my stomach backwards. Out of the blue, the Mursaat are good guys who want to help, they were poor oppressed minorities out of all the races of their time and suddenly whoop-de-doo, we are all friends now, every race out there is dancing around the perfection of multiculturalism.

2 dragons, the most evil race of all times reborn, inner turmoil after the pact defeat at the hands of Mordramoth. So many turns, twists, and possible sides fighting all at once and sabotaging each other. Imagine having the 2 dragons fight each other, we go in with Glint’s baby but right when we would have a chance to strike at one of them, Lazarus comes with an army and pits them both against us, with his faction as the 3rd. What would we do in this situation? And this is merely one example out of dozens such beautiful scenarios.

But no, we all get along with each-other, everything forgotten, we are all living in some sort of pathetic “utopia” with 4 bad lizards going around. Good God, they really ruined a whole franchise for me. This was a bad stab in my book, a very bad stab.

But I am sure that many others will like it so there won’t be anything stopping them in continuing this path. RIP GW Lore 2005-2016.

The mursaat from day one were developed as bad guys. They were the ones who betrayed the other races. They were the ones who committed genocide. Twice.

Now they’re the victims? Now they’re the good guys?

While we’re at it, let’s say that the jotun themselves were gods, the Six were mursaat, and largos are dragon minions. It makes as much sense as this ‘twist’.

So we finally get some lore about Zhaitan’s activities in the previous dragonrise. Question is… did they do such in Arah? Because if so, there’s a huge lore conflict, because they purified Glint there – a champion of Kralkatorrik. Such a dragon champion would not have gone to another Elder Dragon’s front door, and I doubt that the Forgotten would be capable of pulling off that ritual with an Elder Dragon breathing down their neck.

And we were told that the ritual is geographically restricted.

And if they fought Zhaitan there after purifying Glint, then wouldn’t the mursaat have left the world – having betrayed (or as its been retconned as: having been betrayed by) the other races.

I think it’s pretty obvious the notes are just the mursaat bullkittenting around and painting themselves as the real good guys of the whole shebang. They’ve been shown from the get-go as traitorous, genocidal and holier-than-thou, do you really think they would do anything but put themselves on a pedestal?

Lazarus is clearly up to no good and the game definitely wants you to think so too. Otherwise they wouldn’t have the Commander seeing red flags straight away

Putting aside alts, think back when you first began playing GW2, do you ever have those moments where you feel like you should have done this instead of that?

My main is an Iron Legion charr and after learning of what goes down for the Blood Legion story sometimes I feel like i would’ve been better off choosing Blood, specially considering the whole thing about your character having built a gun when your profession can’t even use them

The whole HoT story feels like it went by a little too fast, yes, but you have to consider nearly the entirety of Living Story thus far has been dealing with Mordremoth. Outside the Southsun happenings, Season 1 was about Mordremoth influencing a sylvari into awakening him early, Season 2 involved his rise, his immediate actions upon the world and the main characters starting to mobilize against him

HoT is us finally off to facing him in his own tuf before things get even worse than they already are. It’s the culmination of the last couple years of story. That we would fight and very possibly kill Mordremoth once and for all was something a lot of people predicted and should’ve seen coming

Not saying that you shouldn’t be disappointed, because you got a point with all the speeding along and hanging plot threads, but some of you are reading too hard into this. Just accept we did actually kill Mordremoth, just like how the game goes out of its way to prove that yes we did kill Zhaitan despite all the speculation

Besides, LS3 is definitely coming, so whatever happens just wait and see

I like it. I hated it at first but after doing the dragons stand events i like the way the dragon looks and don’t mind his mind form as much. You have to keep that in mind, that wasn’t him really, just the iteration of him made to fight you in his mind

You realize Mouth of Mordy is very much the actual Mordy? It’s said as much throughout the meta and the final mission itself

The Shadow of the Dragon was originally established as a representation of the player character’s Wyld Hunt – which was indeed to kill Zhaitan at the time. The reason why it was made out of plants is because – so we were told – the Nightmare’s presence turned the representation into a physical manifestation using the world around it. You’re in a forest, what would something that’s becoming a physical manifestation using the world around it use? How about plants, which surround a forest?

Everything we were told about the Shadow of the Dragon was that it was a representation of Zhaitan. It even looks very similar to Zhaitan’s dragon champions in shape.

In hindsight, it becomes obvious this was really the Pale Tree convincing you it was Zhaitan so that you’re left in the dark about Mordremoth

You can go back to your friends and they have new dialogue, at least

I also never understood all the hate Trahearne gets. I got into his part of the personal story expecting to loathe him after I’d seen all the complaints, but the entire time with him guy not only never tries to be steal the spotlight but was really humble and continuously praises you as the one that gets kitten done.

At the very least I feel his death was well done. Tragic, but he went down on his own terms and making the ultimate sacrifice for the world

Trahearne did a much better job at being Pact leader than us anyway, our character just can’t seem to keep people from dying all over

I overall enjoyed the story, but it does feel like it’s over really suddenly and we could have used with some padding, even if it’s to make the whole “realizing the weakness” thing more believable.

Might be only me here, but I actually don’t have a problem with everyone dying left and right. On some cases it’s overdone, yes, but considering the world is locked in a war from literally every corner, it makes sense that stakes are really high all the time, and it’s kinda refreshing to be playing as a hero that no matter his/her victories or how much of a kitten they’re made out to be, they repeatedly fail at being able to save -everyone-

The one thing that bugs me slightly is that if you talk with the gang after killing Mordremoth, everyone is pretty happy about the victory despite the fact everyone involved just saw you having to kill Trahearne, who was not only a really important player in the scheme of things but practically a close friend of your character by this point. You’d think they would be more considerate, at least

im 1000% disapointed that mordremoth was nothing like i imagend it its not a dragon its just a fatmob, the wyvren was cooler this is not an elder dragon its a fat mob with a tail
the fight was easy, it was hell of confusin tho wen everything was shaking,
but it was better then everything in old gw2 the story the voice the new mechanics very BOSS battles i enjoyed it very much.

It’s explained early in the mission that what you’re fighting is the manifestation of Mordremoth’s mind

There are some mastery-gates on certain chapters (certain skills are required for navigation in the story chapters, because of their locations in the maps), but those will be messaged both on the in-game UI and in the story journal.

This scares me.

I haven’t played GW2 for a long time, so long in fact I have no idea what a ‘mastery’ is but get the impression it’s a character progression feature of several ‘masteries’ that each requires some sort of grind to unlock: clearly ‘gate’ means story progress is blocked until I have opened it.

Are my level 80s going to be stuck in the ‘old world’ for weeks simply in order to get these unlocks?

Masteries are a new feature that is coming with HoT for max level players. You can get informed on the wiki

I’m less bothered about the Exalted and more about they just dropped the Master of Peace’s actual goal like it was nothing. You had most of Season 2 revolving about the mystery of the whereabouts of Glint’s Egg and you spoil it before the game even comes out?

I’ve noticed reading up the list of Reaper skills that there’s no mention of minions, or at least the ones you can use while you’re a vanilla necromancer. Does this mean Reapers do not have access to them?

I can’t be the only one annoyed at the fact the Golem is the only minion that can’t swim. I suppose it makes balance of a sort, but when you’re being chased or have to fight underwater and the other minions can’t hold their own as well, it makes me feel like you’re in the worse position half the time

If not giving the Golem swimming animations we could at least have an aquatic replacement for him, what happened to that Blood Shark?

Considering it was a random drop to begin with and has always been tradable there’s no risk of harming someone’s imagined prestige by making it available again, and as long as it was relatively rare it wouldn’t cause a sudden change in price (although until minis were added to the wardrobe it was always around 200g so a drop in price wouldn’t hurt). And it would allow a lot more people who want one to get one.

(In case anyone’s wondering I have no ulterior motive here, I’ve had mine since the Lost Shores weekend and since the wardrobe update I couldn’t sell it even if I wanted to, so it doesn’t directly affect me either way.)

Seriously. What’s the point of making it a temporary thing considering the Karka and nearly all the events tied to them have stuck unlike, say, pretty much anything to do with Scarlet?

Has it REALLY stopped dropping for good? I keep hearing it stopped being a thing since the first Karka Queen event, but I never see the ones in the trading post disappear for good and they keep going from 2 to 3 in stock

No, if you applied the code to your existing account instead of making a new one then your account will be upgraded. At worst, if you made a new account, you would still have your old account, so nothing is getting deleted.

They should have given you a code either through your email or at the end of the purchase that you could apply.

I applied the code they gave me and it became HoT with my old account still in it, so that must be it. I was concerned I did something wrong

Do I have to use the new client or the one I already have works?

Yesterday I pre-purchased the standard edition of HoT and today I learned from the wiki that you can “upgrade an existing account” by purchasing it from the game itself. I have been playing GW2 since launch. Does this mean I screwed up? Will everything I’ve gained thus far be deleted when HoT rolls in?
