Bump. Still looking for more!
We’re 7 outcasts/outsiders from various high-end guilds looking for people to join our static roster. We continuously strive to better ourselves, and seek people with similar mentality.
Twice a week we tell our (non-existent) girlfriends to sod off, to enjoy some PEGI 18 banter, and aim to kill as much as we can squeeze into an evening. Tuesday and Friday, 19:00 UK time.
Requirements
No strict requirements here. We’ve seen players with 400 LI screw up and cause endless wipes, and players with low AP and 20 LI pull off the most awesome moves ever seen.
We expect you to pull your own weight. First-timers and those fixated on just one class need not to apply. You must have good, in-depth understanding of whatever class you’re bringing. Being able to hit 90% of the (current) benchmarks would be appreciated, but we won’t hang up on you if you’re just a plain awesome dude/dudette, and already have quite some knowledge with the willingness to learn. Don’t be a toxic elitist. We already have 7 too many!
Trial
Ofcourse we need to figure out if you’re a good fit for us.. uh, misfits. On the other hand, you must feel like you’ve hit the right place and can bond with us. The trial is simply pulling you into one of our raids, to test your knowledge and personality.
Please contact me (mail or whisp – FerrenoNL.7928) ingame for more information.
The raid hype is strong within Cloud of Sparrows with only Xera and Matthias left to beat!
3 Spots open for new friends to join our family!

Still taking people!
I do a lot of things behind closed curtains , I’m positive Im not the only one.
“Excessive messaging” deletion for 1600 gems.
Feel free to add me. If Im not in a dungeon, Im probably available.

Special thanks to Laula, Gab and Blessing for putting up with me pouting, lol.

Epic watch, nice one.
Thanks! Both added.
Added you GrimmR, thanks
Novaan, I still have you on there, but you seem to be AFK now and then. I’ll keep shooting you invites.
Says the one that had to go to bed at 11, hm. Gettin’ tired of your old friends?
“Hey Gabbicus, we have a spot for CoF, interested?”
“Gahh, what? Are you fing serious? Go away. I dont like CoF.”
:3
Not many people may know me. In fact probably just a handful from the forums. However, me and a few friends usually struggle to fill groups at any given time of day, and we resort to pugging which is… well pugs can be so puggish.
Im on SFR, EU. I like speed runs, but I do make a mistake now and then, I’m not an elitist I guess, not bitter or experienced enough for that yet. One mistake I’m frequently being reminded of is this one…
Please post your name below if I may be free to bug you to fill a spot for dungeons/fractals.

Let’s state it again then. You stopped caring about us long ago and you don’t even have the balls to come and tell us you’re not giving a duck anymore. Come here directly and tell us to go screw ourselves.

Exact same error here, and just now too. All my characters in LA are locked and I cannot access them.
I wonder, what would it take for A-net to admit there IS in fact an issue on their end and not ours?
I used to put my runs up as ‘p# exp’, but last time I did that I ended up with a little snod and his XP booster.
This video probably shows what you had in mind. I do not own the video.
I tried it a few times myself, and placement seems to be a tad more difficult than guardian wall.
I’ve been debating it’s gender. Some of my guildies refer to ‘it’ as a ‘she’, but I checked under it’s, uhm… skirt and there is no clear indication there.
A google search yielded no results.
So my question remains… is Lupi male or female?
Are Anets forums hosted in China? I keep getting “Cannot find topic with that permalink!” quite frequently.
Anet, ever considered the proper way to get rid of those threads is not to remove them, but do extensive testing and more community involvement to prevent those threads from popping up for starters?
#ROLLBACKorRIOT… right?

Hit me up if you need a spotfiller.
I second this, Im currently in his party, and the lag spikes seem to occur every 2 to 5 minutes (randomly) and last roughly 10 seconds tops.
It is no personal connection issue because that throws you back to the login screen, where as now we simply desync and everything reappears after the time elapsed.
As an addition, this has been happening starting 2 weeks ago, and has considerably gotten worse unfortunately.
Personally Im not quite sure whether they do not post because of the shätstorm that may or may not follow. I think they do not post anymore because they simply cannot deliver whatever ‘promises’ they make. Being a software engineer myself, I cant help but feel that based on the content and quality they are delivering at the moment, they have a team of < 10 working on everything (dev, gfx, writers etc.).
Greetings fellow dungeoneers,
Due to the high (not) interest in “How To Mesmer Properly” we have released a new very special edition describing how to use timewarp properly. Below, you will find a few steps that will turn you into a better mesmer than Jerem is, I swear, he should read this post so he can improve his gameplay and take it to a brand new level.
Step 1: Find an epic enemy that either you crush, or it crushes you;
Step 2: Go to Options -> Controls and set new skill keys for your utilities and elite skill;
Step 3: Let the enemy believe that it crushes you and execute (probably quite unintentionally) the following two things:
- Press a random newly assigned button;
– Press another newly assigned button;Step 4: Enjoy your extremely epic and well placed timewarp and if any of the people on your party dare to say something, then just call them scrubs because they can’t acknowledge how high-level is your gameplay as a mesmer.
PS: Don’t make fun of my resolution, I’m too poor to buy a new monitor. :<
I’ll take credit for that timewarp. Slotted my keys back to default now though.
And kitten that resolution.
Mesmer for me. They seem to be in high demand due to Feedback and group wide condition-cleaning. An Elementalist has better DPS though from my understanding.
Elementalist is currently a lot stronger in PvE and PvP than a Mesmer is because mesmers struggle a lot with conditions.
Trait your heal for it + Mantra of Resolve + Nullfield incase your expecting heavy conditions. You’ll not only be cleaning yourself with the last two, but your entire party. :-)
Were you to look just at fun, not caring about being wanted in parties, a skill cap or whatever, then I’d say Elementalist.

I have blacked some content, not sure what the rules are regarding posting other people’s names etc.
Either way, Im logged in as ‘Deanna Entur’, while speaking and representing as my other character ‘Raziel Purus’. I would love to play two toons, imagine being able to level them both at the same time. Wicked.
A reboot has obviously fixed it, but it still is a bug.
Your not alone. I noticed this a while ago when I was trying to make the boots of the female Phoenix set look like a pair of thights. Out of the preview, it turns into some ugly green-yellow-brownish colour. I believe it really has something to do with the lighting.
Edit…. there’s also several materials listed under dyes, Vibrant, Natural Leather, Natural Metallic. Perhaps the latter are more true to their colour where as vibrant tend to react to lightning effects?

I agree. I haven’t completely left yet, but I’m on my way out.
Their silence and lack of communication is a core issue. The neglect of dungeons and focus on a crappy living story is another part.
Lack of communication? This the only MMO where devs actually get in game and play with the community. I have never seen devs care so much about their game as Arenanet does. You have entire CDI threads with the devs talking with the players trying to better the game. They pop up in every now and then on random threads just to let people know they are listening. Why people keep bringing up communication as a problem is beyond me.
I recommend you check out the EVE-Online forums, namely the ‘Features & Ideas’ subsection. Most ideas are published months ahead and involve a lot of player discussion and feedback before the devs publish the final changeset which most people seem to be happy with in the end.
Note that I do not want this game to be turned into EVE, Im just leaving this here because there are infact games/devs that have FAR better communcation. From EVE however, it comes from a series of player protests. Perhaps that is what is required here. Good luck trying to get everyone and everything organised however….

Did my browser broke or am I missing something?
Name: Ferreno
Main Character: Lyndl Lenn (Also play a lot on alts)
Current Region/Server: Dragonbrand (US)
Interested Activities: Dungeons, general PVE, WvW
Active: Usually on weekends, sometimes evenings during the week
Do you want to be a member of the guild Legion of Honour Y/N: No
Are you happy for people to contact you directly (whisper/PM) Y/N: Yes
Additional Comments: I’m actually from the EU despite being on an US server. Might not be too much help at times (still lacking knowledge here and there), but I suppose an extra pair of hands at times does the job.
Don’t get me wrong, Im not making an attempt to turn GW2 into what GW1 was. They are entirely different games. But because of many of the relating elements between both I think you can still compare them up to a certain extend.
I was just trying to state how playing GW1 got me lots of good memories where as GW2 didnt touch me. Yes it was a lot of fun and I’ll certainly carry on playing, but what I played so far somehow didnt stick with me. Soulless. Emotionless. Whatever you want to call it. I simply wanted to know whether I was alone with this feeling.
Strangely enough, no. But your right. I do have fond memories of lots of games played before GW1.
Warning! GW1 spoilers.
I have been wanting to post this for a while and finally bit the bullet.
Having recently hit 100% map completion, done most of the dungeons, lots of WvW and a few PVP attempts, I feel Im entitled to say, " I have seen it all ".
Have I enjoyed all of it? Certainly, Guild Wars 2 is a great game. Would I buy the game again if I lost it somehow? Yes I would, no doubt.
But, I keep getting the feeling I’m missing something. The graphics and gameplay is very nicely done. Guild Wars 2 is not to be compared to any other MMO out there due to its unique, eh, non-existant ‘holy trinity’ aspect.
I played the original Guild Wars for god knows how many hours. Days and weeks on end, either solo or playing with various other people from around the globe. This game is so much different, and nearly impossible to compare to its predecessor. I’m gonna try either way.
I’m an emotional fella. No, I dont mean the type of person that reaches out for the tissue box when Tom and Lisa break up for the 6th time in some random ‘romantic’ soap. I like to think back about fun times, even those in other games, and in this case also GW1. The memories will always put a smile on my face.
Those memories. Opening a gazillion gates in Pre-searing Ascalon. The first time seeing Ascalon ruined after the searing. Losing my good ol’ buddy Rurik. Helping some really nice guy in the Ring of Fire mission sequence. Seeing Gwen become Mrs. Thackeray. I could ramble on and on but those are just a fraction of the bits that I still have in my mind about GW1.
When I think back about my first beta weekend in GW2, I dont feel the same emotions. It doesnt put a smile on my face. I think back about when the game was launched, and again, it doesnt put a smile on my face.
To me personally, Guild Wars 2 is emotionless. Am I the only one? I mean, the graphics are avid, the gameplay is very good, but I’m not feeling anything while playing the game.
I have seen it all, but not felt it all.
Been reading most topics/posts on this same topic but the amount of options and various gear ‘versions’ I cant get my head around. GW1 was plain and simple gear wise, but Im still puzzled with GW2’s system. I didnt want to hijack other threads so I’ve decided to make my own.
I’m approaching level 80 and hoping (due to the costs) to pick a max of one or two fixed sets which I can enjoy in all sorts of PVE content (roaming around, guild stuff, dungeons etc.) and the occasional WvW zerg.
I’m aiming for something with a Short bow. Was considering a bunker one but according to some people, their damage is lacking. On the other hand, a beast mastery build, I don’t feel like relying on my pet the entire time (e.g dungeons or fractals).
What I’m looking for, I guess, is something with good damage and good sustainability. What sort of gear should I be looking at, what stats would I need to increase using jewels etc. On the good damage part, what I can’t figure out is, should I be going for crit chance + crit damage, or power.
Let me rephrase all my questions … Help!
For me, being a programmer, keeping it short is like second nature to me. I tend to leave out caps and periods, and keep messages single line (as opposed to sending people a book to read).
People using punctuation being as arrogant… Hmm. No.
I do have a few buddies here and there that end every sentence with a period, even if they just say ‘Lol.’. In all honesty, to me those people come across as people lacking sense of humor. Probably cause the period at the end makes it look strict.
I normally dont post on topics like these for any reason what so ever, but I just got the urge to leave my message here in the hopes A-net does read these.
Let me start of by saying I do not play PVP nor do I have any intentions to play PVP.
I think the nerf to Whirpool was justified, regardless of it being an elite. It could take down entire mobs in a matter of seconds. I dont know any other profession that can do the same in equal or less time. Now that it appears less useful I do agree it would be great if we could put a non-elite in that skillslot.
I would really like to know how A-net sees the elementalist. As many people have pointed out all over the place now, Elementalist is not supposed to deal uber damage. There’s other and better classes for that which are less squishy. So that leads me to believe we are meant to support teams instead.
I’ve been trying to play as a monk instead, rezzing people with GoR when they died. I like to think I prevented a few wipes here and there. Obviously rezzing is no longer on our to-do list. We still have water and earth magic for support abilities, but crippling and healing should not be ALL an elementalist is supposed to do in teams, is it?
I would really like to know a few build which A-net suggests we use, and which builds they have based these decisions on.
Just my 2 coins…
