What world are you on?
Were you doing anything like guesting or grouping up with someone from another world before entering (or anytime during your login session)?
Where were you trying enter WvW from?
What map were you trying to enter?

We know this is a thing that can happen, but we’re still trying to figure out why, so any details you can provide could be helpful!

I wasn’t doing anything in particular. It was the first time I logged in of the day. I was in Lion’s Arch and like everyday I pressed B to see what was the current wvw points. And then I took the screen shot you have up here wondering what bug was that. Then I went in Eternal Battleground and everything was fixed after the load. The day before, when I unlogged, I was simply in lion arch too. I was not guesting or anything.

I am from Kaineng. Before I started my game, I don’t remember doing anything in particular. Just logged in and then started the game right after.

The exact same thing just happened to me. No one wanted to believe me so I took a screenshot. It was Kaineng VS Devona’s Rest VS Eredon Terrace LOL! I don’t even know if this matchup ever happened.

Kaineng took Stonemist Castle in like 5 min.

Every thread about Kaineng’s tiers has gone to the kittens. I wonder what’s the common denominator?

The theme that drives Kaineng threads is the NA primetime players being very bad at WvW and especially PvP. That’s usually the common issue.

NA Kaineng is really bad. I think DA’s NA when they were super zergy was way better.

Last night everyone was so happy because we were last and they kept saying “Oh please, this is tier 3 u cant give these kind of excuses”. Now that they are both behind us, they’re giving the excuses.

Our excuses are more plausible than yours, given that we never saw outmanned buff on you guys and we had it on at least two maps at midnight Pacific…which never happens. Not that I actually care, but it’s kind of sad that RE has so many angry people in it now!

Queuing for the first available slot in a 4 map queue would be awesome as well.

So I was thinking about that: I hate WvW queues, and I’m obviously not the only one. But what I really hate about it, it’s not really the fact that I have to wait to get in the bordeland I want to go. What I really hate, is that I don’t know for how long I will be waiting before I get teleported.

Tell me what you guys think about this: it’s only a little feature with the queues so that people waste less time waiting to get in WvW, especially on reset night. It’s very simple, only show us what position we’re at in the queue. I hate to see myself waiting in Lion’s Arch for hours, not wanting to start anything by fear it will ask me at anytime to teleport, before I get asked to switch to the borderland I want to go. It’s could be as simple as when we put our mouse over the WvW icon, it shows up something like: “You are 24th in the queue” or whatever. Or something in the WvW window. When we are in queue, there’s a little image on the WvW icon that shows us that we’re in a queue, if anyone noticed it, and that’s it. Useless in my opinion. ArenaNet could do something more usefull with this. “It is better to know for how long we’re waiting than rather just leave fristrated”.

Tell me your opinion, this is mine. I just think it would be nice to know how many time is left approximately to join the WvW, so we could go in dungeons or whatever.

Hi all,

Queues are per map, per team – so there is a queue for TC players on the Eternal Battlegrounds and a different queue for TC players on each Borderlands, and a different queue for each of the other teams on each of the maps.

During the time it takes for players to change maps it is possible for there to be a queue even if there are less players in a map than the maximum capacity because the players taking up those empty slots are still “in flight” between maps. It’s also possible for a slot to take a while to fill if e.g. people see the queue pop, wait until the progress bar for the automatic transfer is almost empty, and then choose to renter the queue. At that point the system will move on and look for other players to fill that slot but all of that takes a bit of time. We’ve watched the queue numbers a lot and generally it’s only a few slots that are in this reserved state at any time.

Just to be sure I ran a quick database query for the last few days and all the queue numbers look quite reasonable.

So I don’t know where in the map those players are when you’re looking for them, but they’re definitely in there somewhere!

I think it would be nice to know what position you’re at in the queue. Like maybe when you put you’re mouse over then WvW icon it could say your position like: “You are 2nd in queue” or something like this. Because sometime I just see myself waiting in Lion’s Arch to enter in WvW for hours… where I could’ve been in dungeons or anything.

No one has a support/tanker mesmer lol?

I’m kinda new with mesmer, though I’ve been playing Gw2 since the beginning, and I am just giving Mesmer a try. Does anyone has a good Support mesmer build for WvW and Dungeons?

Please remember that I don’t know anything about mesmers, because mine is lvl 14!

It would be nice to know what are the best support weapons, traits, equips and skills to use. Also maybe a link to a video on how to use a mesmer support in WvW, if anyone of you knows one, would be awesome.

I don’t feel like having one of those complex mesmer builds, I just wanna run in WvW as a Support and and have fun, and maybe do few Dungeons for the lolz. Something like a build that does good damage and isn’t too squishy would be awesome.
