Great and well thought-out ideas. I really hope anet considers this for their game, and it would make my, and many other people’s, day if they said so on this thread… It would just be incredible and fulfill a promise they made with Utopia.

I, also, am colorblind. I blazed through the queen’s gauntlet, never battling anyone more than 3 times, but spent 100+ tickets on liandri so far. I’ve gotten her to phase 2 only a handful of times due to not being able to see her nuke circles. It is pretty much impossible and sad to say I will be unable to complete this achievement due to developer oversight mixed with genetics…. kitten you mom!

Also: Arah is only available by instance, maybe they could add a “restored” map of Orrin the Arah+ southeast area of Orr. Anet had so many interesting options for post-Orr that it is belittling GW2 to add silly crap like Southsun or god forbid, SAB!

Mind you, people are buying gems like crazy, i’ve spent around $150 or more in addition to my DD copy of the game, and i’m sure many more have. I DOUBT funding is an issue.

i agree 100%, i don’t see how i can play everything since launch that I can, and still be poor as hell. I can’t have fun AND make gold to KEEP ME having fun.

I don’t farm because anet says play the way you want, and even puts measures in to keep people from farming: pent shelt.

I just want to play, do fractals, dungeons, etc. Not spam around karka-esque lag cycles at dragons to get minimal gold from 1 rare.

I don’t want to “play” the trading post, because that is obviously the easiest way to make money these days. I end up getting unlucky and screwed over anyways. It’s crap how I play since launch and be less than halfway to a legendary while i see somebody who picked up the game and farmed/trading posted and now currently has 3 legendaries: bifrost, sunrise, and one other. This is CRAP that he can do that so quickly and easily for doing something that I don’t find fun, so I don’t do. I play a LOT and HARD, but just not in the “profitable” areas. Why can’t fun=profitable? Why can’t anet follow through on their manifesto?

small does not equal bad… our small, casual-oriented guild has been around since pre-release. We do dungeons, wvw, pvp, basically ALL the content. With this new slap in the face patch, they made it that simply because our guild didn’t have a huge pile of influence or gold on us on february 26th, half of the people left to join guilds that could afford the content. I thought anet was avoiding buy-to-play, which is what they did with guilds in this patch. If there were alliances so that big guilds could adopt smaller guilds and give them access to the new "free"content. That would be the unselfish, unhurtful way to do it. The small but fun guilds like ours will be able to get the bounties in a few weeks or a month, but not after most of the small guilds have died or dwindled down to a mediocre attendance.

You are obviously in an elitist hardcore guild or a zerg guild who has already had fun on the content, either way, please don’t say that its FAIR for a smaller guild to have to “put more effort in” by about 1000 fold than a large zerg guild to experience this “free” content. Our guild generates about 1000-ish karma in the course of a day or two, and we have been throwing our money at the beer guy since launch. we just barely have enough for arch T5, god forbid the unlock cost. This is just ridiculous that we have to ruin our own experiences to UNLOCK “free” content.

With the addition of guild missions, only doable by guildees representing the specific guilc, without alliances that allow non representing members to get the boons from guild missions, small guilds WILL die. no matter what. Anet should realize this and hold themselves responsible for killing small guilds in one fell swoop

The original post about this was made two months ago…. they haven’t updated it at all yet. SURE they just threw out a handful of precursors at the end of LS, but that just made some rich and others poor, and much more desperate. I would really like to see follow-up on what they promised in November. If they don’t make the “scavenger hunt” thing they mentioned awhile ago possible, I will have literally no reason to play this game. I guess i could go try out TERA or SWOTOR for a bit. IDK, just sort of depressing on how ridiculous anet let the economy in this game get. Not trying to troll and complain, but i’m just pointing out a few sad truths.

And the fact that an obsidian shard (worth at minimum 4 fractal runs) is only seemingly a trifle as well. These will be some intensely valuable coins.

TBH, I really don’t get what everyone is so negative/whiny/complaining about. The Anet team is and has been doing their best since launch. They keep me relatively happy with what they have. of course it will never be perfect, and do i have to remind you that the sales and gems in the game is an ECONOMIC VENTURE by Anet, of course they’ll be wanting money. I’m entertained. they give us new ‘free’ content. Oh well. If you don’t like it, stop playing. You can always come back, there’s no subscription. Just wait till Feb or March. Keep negativity restricted to WoW forums where you have to pay to play. Please.
