I had completed the transfer chaser ‘meta’ back when it was first released. With the new side stories achievement catagory being added, and a central tyrian mastery point being tacked on as a reward, I find all those acheivements still marked as complete. However, I have found that the mastery point was not and still hasnt been retroactively rewarded.

I am a scribe, stuck at the meager crafting level of 25 due to one problem. I have no access to the decorations.
I am, however, able to purchase basic decorations for my guild.
Now, with that being said, I have a suggestion.
In order to make scribing more feasible for people like me (I have asked for absolutely zero assistance), I believe that rather than having decorations I have purchased be directly deposited into the guild decoration cache, that the decoration be instead put into the inventory of the purchaser.
A usability function could be added to the décor saying “Send to décor cache” to send it to my guild when I wish.
Another possibility is to have décor that I purchase be made available to me, as it was me that spent 50 silver. The décor would also be made available to people with permissions to access the cache.
I, personally, see no issue with this. I’m doing the guild a favor be upgrading their décor.
That is all, Flop Sweat out.

A Scribe's Lament aka The Optimist Love Story

That’s scribing.
So, uhh… yeah.
Anet?
Do something? Scribing is pretty horrible.

What is the matter with this map? Why does no one ever want to do it?
There are hardly ever any available group to do it.
Just wondering.
Map chat always seems to yield incoherent answers.

This is NOT a thread about how stupid it is to have a jp requirement or the 2500 candy canes/10000 drinks.
I just wanna know if the achievement will be sticking around after Wintersday.
There when you need him.
It needs to be reworked. HoT is done.
I got S2 for Christmas, but, frankly, Scarlet? Steam Creatures? The Tower of Nightmares? Wha? S1 contains vital info. I’m lost. I have the backstory, I read summaries, but it just isn’t the same as playing through it.
The plot holes! OoooOOOoo!
Also, with F2P, there are new players, and new players don’t know what happening in ways of the world story. It’s wrong to continue the story without filling in the gaps.

Dear Anet,
Tixx and Toxx have given me everything I wanted for Wintersday…
Except one thing. A new mastery.
I want one centered around crafting, like more XP gain to the crafting levels, or, what I miss dearly from WoW…
The ability to put a signature on items that I craft. Please?

I recently got the urge to play the original Guild Wars. Before purchasing anything, I always play a trial of some sort. (not a big console gamer for that reason) I found the old website for a Guild Wars trial, but it appeared to have stopped working, as it brings you to an NCSoft account page, and Anet split from NCSoft.
So the question is… how do I get a trial? If I even can anymore.
Here’s the old website http://gw1101.gtm.guildwars.com/freetrial/

Launcher and Character screen Update needed
in Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns
Posted by: Flop Sweat.3456
I think the launcher and character creation screen should be updated.
You know. Maybe a darker backround, some splashes of green. Vines, maybe.
Anyway, I found this really great art design for a new launcher on google. I like it.
Whether it gets updated for HoT or not, it needs and update. Caithe doesn’t look like that anymore.

The post by Evon Gnashblade says that “this is our last chance to grab those finishers directly for gems.”
Does this mean that they will be available through the game now?
Also, ArenaNet said they were pulling armor skins from the Gemstore. Will those skins become available through the game?
A Dev answer would be nice here.

Thank you.
I am getting PUMPED for HoT. (That’s a warrior reference.)
PUMPED I say. PVP leagues… I love it.
Now, here’s something you don’t get often, probably.
Elite specs… Dragonhunter… oh, god… that is AWESOME!
Scrapper… yes. Just… YES!
Druid… or whatever it’ll be… yes. I have full confidence in you, Anet. Save the best for last. Show the ranger the love it deserves. Even if ranger is COMPLETELY ripped again… I’ll still love it. It’ll rock.
The rest of the elite specs… I played during the BWEs. They rock.
Revenant. Best, most fun I’ve had in a while.
I love Guild Wars 2. So much. Plan on getting the first with all campaigns and expansions. Best MMO out there.
As for all the rest of you. I know what you’ll say.
Lowlife.
Basement dweller.
Suckup.
Kitten.
But most of all… WAY TOO PUMPED FOR DRAGONHUNTER.
Don’t care. I like this game a little too much. Made me realize just how dull real life is.
Thank you, Anet.

I think there should be an account wide interface which stores your toys, whether they be things like the wintersday bell consumable or gem store items like instruments or kites or thebobblehead lab.

Some after Heart of Thorns.
I’d buy it.
I’m missing quite a bit of story.
There when you need him.
After reviewing things I said before, I know how to improve the wardrobe now.
Request #1
The transmutations being an overlay that remains static, regardless of armor change.
Pros: Less transmutation cost overall.
Cons: Less transmutation charge sales for Anet, and role players would not be able to change appearance by changing armor.
This is probably unlikely.
Request #2
Multiple costume slot, and costume slot expansions available via the Black Lion Trading Company, for purchase for gems. (Probably around 400-800 gems.)
Pros: More customization options
Cons: Less transmutation charge sale overall, and ouch, my wallet.
Request #3
The ability for any class to use any armor skin, regardless of weight. Now that being said, I know that armor weights CANNOT BE MIXED due to technical issues. But, what if the wardrobe were to allow you access to all weights. Once a skin is selected to be transmuted to, the other skins belonging to another weight would be GRAYED OUT, prohibiting access to other weights until you cancel. Should you wish to change armor weights, you click on a grayed out armor piece, and than the other two weights are once again grayed out. Or, the wardrobe could be split into three sections, one for each weight.
Pros: More customization options
Cons: The time it would take to implement this.
Now, I know what you’re thinking. “I won’t be able to differentiate the professions apart in PvP or WvW.” That fix is simple. Add an option that allows the player to mark the other players with a big, fat symbol above their head that indicates the profession they are. That way the players that don’t care about who they’re taking on don’t have to deal with the big, fat marks above heads.

Will there be map completion?
If so, will it be separate, or put a dent in my current 100%, and say,
“Nope, you’re not done.”

There is a lot of space down in the last spec slot when you click the hexagon to change specs.

I hate the quest tracker pointing me to events that are a million miles away.
Gawd.
I really crimps my map completion plans. I want the event to pop up when I am near it. But when I’m walking towards a Renown Heart, the tracker pointing me towards it… and then… BAM! There ’s an event on the way there, and then it stops pointing me towards the Renown Heart… and I hate it. It kills me.
NO, I DO NOT WANT TO KILL THE CHAMPION RISEN MEGELODON BY MYSELF. I want to find the Renown Heart.
Please. I beg of you Anet. Give us the ability to disable the event tracker.

Gotta say, I support this. Wardrobe should essentially be an overlay, much like outfits. Cost an Xmute charge if you want to change anything on it, but it stays static regardless of armor swapping.
I would be supremely happy if they added something like this.
THIS IS ALL I WANT!
From what I’ve heard, the old system was horrible, but the newer one is pretty bad also.
There when you need him.
Most of the functionality being asked for is already in the game:
- Skins are separate from stats, except for some skins that are acquired through specific weapons. Those stats are, however, available from other items.
- Other games make it easier to swap looks, but hard to acquire lots of skins. This game makes it easy to acquire and easy to swap, only requiring people to pay a modest transmutation cost. Since you get these ‘free’ from logging in or playing PvP, most players won’t need to spend gold or gems at all.
So, unless I misunderstood, this game is only missing two features:
- Ability to ‘save’ a look to reuse later. I’m sure we’d all love that and I’m sure it’s expensive to implement.
- Ability to pay once and re-use skins forever, like a permanent transmutation charge (either per character or per account). This seems easier to implement. The problem is whether ANet can make up the revenue they get now (from frequent-change artists buying transmutation charges) by selling the perma-unlocks.
Accordingly, the question that ANet would want to know from players might be: how much are you willing to pay to have a permanent unlock? 5,000 gems? 2,000? Unless are lot of folks are willing to pay a lot for this feature, I doubt it will be prioritized.
What I’m asking for is the ability to pay to transmute my things, but be able to swicth my armor underneath without my transmutation disappearing. How hard would it be in order to make a costume system like WildStar’s? (Without the dye prices and the skin unlock prices)
There when you need him.
The one use skins are only applied to the armor you are currently wearing. If you change that armor, the skin is gone, until you put that piece of armor that you applied the skin to back on.
Also, even if you use a transmutation charge in the wardrobe to change your appearance, the look is only applied to the armor that you wear.
I hate this.
This is probably bound to bother me, as I came to Guild Wars 2 recently, from WildStar, and if there are any WildStar people reading this, they know why the Guild Wars wardrobe bothers me.
Personally, I think the wardrobe, at least, should permanently change the look of your armor. Once you spend a transmutation charge, you should be able to endlessly switch armor, but your costume over that armor should stay the same.
This is coming from a costume freak, and a fan of the WildStar wardrobe. I am new, and this is a wonderful game. But the single transmutation hurts me a bit.
