WTF did you do to fractals?

It’s sort of a matter of Git Gud.

It’s not that bad and won’t be when people get used to it. Wasn’t that bad on T4 with some pugs and not that bad with some decent Guildies also. It’s the END of each Fractal tier. OFC it’ll be challenging, especially at first.

Very similar to Nightmare in many ways. Similar format and presentation with the 3 bosses.

Same thing happened to me. I was 2 ranked wins away from having the pips to finish my Byzantium reward track, and I got the 2 wins. Here’s the kicker: there were no pips, no rank advancement, no reward chest! Luckily I was streaming the thing, so I have a vod to prove it. Is this something I can contact support for or should I wait? The season was clearly still active.

I’m going to contact support also. This is irritating and unfair. Same situation.

It ended 1 hour EARLY kitten .

Last time it was a lot later. This REALLY kittened me off as it robbed me of my Byzantium 6/6 chest. GIVE ME MY 20G ANET.
I also couldn’t get the last 5 wins for The Ascension either.

You gonna fix that anet or stick to a set time to end sPvP from now on?! If not, I’ll call you out on this, watch me.

The 2 month old Crustians [PLS] are a bunch of offensive cretins (you can replace that with another C-word also) who long to say whatever they like and on whatever subject.
We don’t have a rep rule, but if you rep, you can get ranks in order to decorate in the Guild Hall however and wherever you like as well as other permissions as time goes by.

RAIDING Though new, our group 1 has just cleared all wings and bosses in one week for the first time last week. So we look to get better and faster from here on out. There may be a spot in group 1 potentially. We’ve tackled some wings multiple times.
We have a new group 2 leader, but need more members to fill out that static group 2. People who are dedicated and can commit to raiding on weekend evenings are what we’re looking for – Fairly experienced or decent players also.
No 100LI+ BS, but know your class and have enough initiative to check out tactics before you join if new. Our leaders and co-leads explain tacts before bosses also. We would like to tackle Challenge Motes soon and do bring static group 2 up to speed with us. We have a laugh a lot over Discord during raids and don’t take it too seriously as long as we progress and get the kill. There’s good focus where focus is needed. No toxic eliturds (despite us being offensive, our community is solid, we don’t want true cancer).
Raid Times are: Friday 6pm GMT, Saturday 5pm GMT, Sunday 6pm GMT approx (post-GMs).

If you’re new, and use voice chat frequently, there sure as kitten is a spot for you if you’re regular and reliable. Be eager to learn and preferably take more than one class for flexibility.
We speaks the Englishz and are from all over the place. This Guild won’t pass 50 members in total as we plan to stay small, active and closely knit. So we all know each other (no horsecrap about officers not allowing people into their little friend circles or anything like that) to some degree.

PvE Anyone’s welcome whether you want to run Fractals daily, some dungeons (like Twilight Arbor Aetherpath or Arah) in the weekdays or raids on weekends. We’re also fine with just social members or those wanting to build and decorate the Guild Hall with us likewise. Just bear in mind we are offensive. Side note: Some of us PvP from time to time together in Ranked/Unranked which you can also join.

Mail me in-game @ Flurry of dancing flames.9830 if you’re interested or want to know more info. It’d get to me faster than on Reddit.

I had this discussion with a veteran Ele friend of mine the other day.
Seraph’s gear is fun-looking but hard to utilise fully, and not actually that good for an Ele.
If they’re gonna be healing, they need some bulk (pref. vitality due to low health pool) is why Apothecary/Magi is better. With Shaman, you can do something like 3-4k dps per second while giving out CONSISTENTLY GREAT heals and amazing support via auras and protection/vigor sharing.

Seraphs is sufficable for a Druid/Engi (if people let you bloody play it) and a couple others prolly like a Revenant hybrid perhappps, but it falls a little short on ele.
Also, to make Seraphs do ANY damage, you neeeeeed the condition duration in your runes/sigils and food. It’s mandatory.

Guilds: Activate Recruit Mode!

Flurry of dancing flames.9830

Recruit mode activated.
Offensive mode activated.
That’s because we are Crustians[PLS]!!!

Guild Type: Primarily PvE (we do PvP from time to time, esp. for Guild missions).
We do Fractals and are beginning Raiding as of writing this.
Server: N/A it’s not a WvW guild, but half of us are on Desolation and the other half are Aurora Glade.

We’re a really small guild at the moment (just above 10 members for now), and plan to stay that way. We need more members who want to grow the Guild hall with us and turn it from a wreck into an offensive, immature mess. Guild Hall has just been claimed, and we’ve just unlocked rights to decorate. Anyone will be welcome to decorate if they help out with upgrades.

We also have a NO RESTRICTIONS policy on what you say. You won’t get kicked for whatever topics your bring up or words you use. Words are just words after all.
If you do something to prevent the Guild growing such as stealing from the Guild Bank (not available to newbies immediately), then ofc you’ll get kicked, not that there’s much in there atm.
This may be cancerous at first glance, but it’s actually been very liberating so far, and we’re a small bonded community. This Guild’s membership doesn’t plan to exceed 50 members.

Please mail me if you are interested in joining or would like to know more at ‘Flurry of dancing flames.9830’ and say what map chat and most other Guilds won’t allow. >:D

PvP Ready Check roulette window

in PvP

Flurry of dancing flames.9830

Please let the roulette window be movable!
I get frustrated when in the middle of combat often because of this (build testing or roaming).
I appreciate the first “Ready Check” window having a dismiss button, but *what’s the point" if I get an annoying map rotation window pop up str8 after.

What would be REALLY nice QoL, is being able to permanently move it to one corner of the map either by dragging it or at least with an option.
Having it pop up in that specific place every time would save it from being a nuisance and still allow us to keep an eye on the map choice.
Choice to have it in the middle or to the side would really be nice.

I agree with some of this. It has a low population, but then again, it’s during working times (though it collabed with Easter and we got some noobs in it temporarily, they ran away because of the next point) and doesn’t compete well with Xmas holidays.

The real problem most people I know don’t enjoy this season and won’t bother, is the condi cancer. Simple.
I wouldn’t bother if not for The Ascension, honestly. Most people have that by now though.

Just finished today’s T4 dailies (100cm, 96 and 99 in that order), and noticed when I did 96, Aetherblade, I got the “Daily Fractal” from the Dailies tab. It didn’t give anyone in my party that when we did 100cm first, AND THAT’S THE HARDEST ONE! xD

Fix it please? I see no reason why it shouldn’t count for Daily Fractal on the rare occasion that pops up.

Power Ranger buff, HELL YES. That short buff in Feb 22 wasn’t enough.
Same exact story as Power Necro.
Condi ranger already suffered a minor DPS loss, leave it be.
It’s also nice seeing vanilla rangers being used. Esp since pre-hot they were DETESTED. It was truly, TRULY irritating getting kicked for simply being a ranger. They’re not that big a problem to consider nerfing. Don’t want to go back to those times I was forced to play anything but Ranger for DPS.
Let’s not forget they are pretty kitten squishy along with condi Warr (yes, really).

Condi thief would be nice in PvE also, there’s something needing slight tweaks.

Endless Miniature Tonic Topic

Flurry of dancing flames.9830

Thanks for the responses everyone, cleared up a lot for me. ’Ppreciate that!

In regards to the JPs at least, I did most of them on my main character at the time, a Charr. At first, I found it really difficult to gauge where he’d land, but then you get used to it.
Many like Asura from what I’ve heard, and I do too, simply because their jumps are more accentuated and it’s easier to tell where they’re going to land. Humans are probably very reliable as well.

Flurry of dancing flames.9830

Hello all, apologies in advance if this has been covered somewhere down the line, but I am curious regarding the recently added Endless Miniature Tonic.

In the Nightmare Fractal, for example, does the tonic reduce your hitbox and make it easier to dodge the bullethell orbs seen throughout the instance?

I’ve also noticed when using the Sigil of Geomancy on Condi builds (aoe bleeding on nearby foes when weapon swapped in combat), that the animation of the ring is smaller also. Similar to above with hitboxes, does it reduce the radius by any amount MORE than just visually?
I presume not, but it’s worth checking just in case anyone has any information that’s not on the Wiki.

P.S. I hope they fix the bug with Warrior’s Rampage skill reverting the tonic.

Legendary Aura.

Flurry of dancing flames.9830

I agree, this seems like a simple, but effective idea.

One thing I’d love to add to this is the ability to turn off our infusion auras when we want. E.g. I don’t want the Winter’s Heart infusion effect on my Condi Berserker (which is styled on pure fire) because it’s on my legendary backpack, even though I have the backpack hidden from sight.
The point is, if the item is hidden from sight(which could also work for gloves/helm/shoulders), the infusions so hide along with it.
Seems like a slight oversight to me.

Auras would be wicked, and the above is simpler than infusions in terms of viewing and not viewing them.

Ember Bay bot?

Flurry of dancing flames.9830

Agree with ill-conceived, especially on his last point.
I know a lot of people who do this, but they ARE AFK and they DO get kicked out after a certain period of time. Don’t know any player who actually bots it. After an hour, the game kicks them off and that’s the end of that.

If I do it (it’s a waste on electricity costs IMO, might as well buy gems/gold, lol), I sometimes come back to the PC, chat with friends/guilds, check TP or whatever and keep myself off AFK status.

I don’t believe it’s a big issue, because you get nicer, more relevant loot from playing the game normally anyways. It’s also not an economy-imbalancer like ML was (remember ecto prices?) and therefore, isn’t worth their limited resources in nerfing/paying attention to. They have LOOOADS more pressing issues right now – especially with LFG, Fractal problems and PvP seasoned DCs etc.

Necromancer MinionToughness

I am aware of the aggro formula which hasn’t changed on the Wiki (referring mostly to non-raid content).
I just wanted to know if anyone knew which pet has the most toughness/aggroing ability.

In vanilla GW2, I used to take most the aggro being a PS Knights Warr which was fun.

Flurry of dancing flames.9830

Hello all,

I know the Wiki states the ARMOUR and health of minions, but I couldn’t see any toughness stats on them.
I am wondering which minion has the most toughness, or in your experiences, which one seems to take aggro the most. I feel like it’s either Flesh Golem or Blood Fiend.

One tactic I know of to get Minions to take aggro in PvE is to let Flesh Golem charge in with it’s skill allowing it to take more aggro off you/party members.

I also read that minions only inherit condi damage, condi duration and boon duration from the Necromancer, not toughness.

So… do minions all have the same base toughness stats or am I missing something?

Thanks.

Erm.. one thing I’d like to see MORE of, is the usage of weapons that are used the least amount (like Rifle, Mace + focus/scepter, Rifle specifically).

One thing a friend and I LOVED the idea of was a thief with a Rifle (for Sniping, Assassination) or a Ranger with a Rifle (because it’s a “RANGE-r” which both make enough sense and let us use Rifles at long last. Engi rifle is the only real, playable class atm…
