Well I can’t melee the head, and I can’t shoot the head with a rifle so I think that it’s pretty much bugged.

So at the final phase of the shadow of the dragon you fight, the head is immune to all direct damage period. It is impossible for me to do any damage to it. I saw a comment about something called a “magic arrow” not being fired to open up the head to direct damage but I’m not too sure about what is supposed to go on.

The only reason I have to agree with the OP is because of the current meta of dungeons. If anything ticks me off more than killing players after a round is over (in spvp) it has to be the “LOL BADDIE NO ZERK KICKPLZ KTHXBAI” attitude that has been adopted by so many dungeon runners.

It’s sad that it is legit to kick anyone wanting to run high toughness or high healing power. Hell the combo fields to stack might are overlapped by healing instead of both going off at once.

Honestly i’m going to have to stick with spvp as unbalanced as the condi meta is. It’s the only thing that is even remotely fun.

Running high toughness or high healing holds the entire group back. The way the game is now, those stats are simply not needed if you can kill fast enough. And guess what? They WON’T be able to to kill fast enough if two, or even one, person decides to be a special snowflake.

People running some dungeon for the 100th time want to get in and get out as quickly as possible.

And that is why I don’t like the current PvE dungeon design.

Thank you for restating what I’ve posted, even though no sign on any conclusion just conflict for conflict’s sake.

I’m just wondering, did they optimize gw2 for amd yet or should I just get an intel cpu?

I’ve had my AMD phenom II x4 955 cpu for a few years now, and my motherboard only has a socket for the amd series so it’s a problem. I’ll have to get a new MB also…

I suggest gathering a new set of musicians and delving into zone/time/racial specific music, the music is great so far yet it lacks an area’s specific tone. I shouldn’t hear whimsical music in Orr, I should hear disturbingly still and unsettling music, like I’m alone with the dead.

The game is awesome so far, can’t wait to see future improvements!

I loved how this old soundtrack just got me into the whole zone, it was amazing. As to avoid flames i will not comment on what it is instead look for yourself.

This was an iconic soundtrack in my days of mmos, hell even gaming and i was looking for this in gw2 yet was disappointed at the variety of music. Don’t get me wrong, i love what’s already there but it’s not very… specific to each zone.

Resources in Combat

This is to appeal to the players that love playing efficiently and getting a good feeling when they are able to manage resources properly in combat.

Combat Resources:
Health
Dodges
Cool Downs

These are all great things to consider when fighting but when it comes down to fighting a mob or a series of dynamic events there seems to be something missing. I feel as if having class specific resources to manage damage output would bring a whole new level of fun to Gw2.

This is the part where it gets weird. Spamming #1 can kill, this is honestly boring. The fact that this filler ability is used when everything else is on CD presents itself with a problem, if it can’t kill then there is no reason for it, if it can kill there is no reason not to use it. See where this is going?

The combat can benefit so much from a quick and critical revisit from the devs, and could bring in a solid and fun experience with resources in mind.

I’ve been playing spvp to pass the time lately, I have 3 80’s with okay gear, I just haven’t been having fun farming Orr so any guild would be nice.

I’ve been trying out multiple builds with my characters and have a decent knowledge of both PvE and PvP. I have a Warrior/necro/engi at 80 but I don’t mind leveling other classes.

What about the people who like the game ?

I love Gw2 yet I’m not afraid to criticize things I view need improving. I really want this MMO to succeed beyond what it has already accomplished. Also giving feedback borders a fine line between flaming or actual concerns, it depends on how others take it.

Thanks for the replies zero, this has helped me pinpoint aspects of PvE that I enjoy, also I think it’s time for me to involve myself into the pvp aspect of the game. I’ll be sure to come back and see the changes to PvE when they roll around in the favor for enjoyment.

At this point what could be done?

I don’t know the amount of work it would take to improve enemy AI but it seems like a worthy task if it’s within reality. Other things add up to bring down personal fun but this seems like the elephant in the room. Enemy AI was/is not developed with the combat system in mind, it feels bleh. I agree zero.

Good point, panda, I guess I’ve been expecting too much from PvE recently, I just hope things will go well in the future for Gw2. I think the problem with most dungeons is that they are made without the combat model in mind, it really mirrors WoW 5mans from what I’ve experienced.

I’ve been wondering how many people play GW2 and yet feel bored with the combat. Recently I’ve just been soul crushingly bored with my necro and warrior, mostly because of how dry the combat feels in pve to me.

I’ve even resorted to disabling auto attack, effectively shooting myself in the foot on the damage side of things, to eek out a tiny bit of fun from pve. I just can’t seem to keep myself running dungeons anymore.

Try not to mash the #1 skill it’s fun when you can time it.

I see. While skills are on CD I time my #1 pressing to activate as soon as the cast is done, it usually doesn’t take long for my cds to come back up, also I like to use a priority system where my #1 attack is the lowest variable so i’m constantly checking cd timers also I save some of the longer cds for when I need them and I feel as if I’m on top of things.

How many people play without auto attack?

Also what weapons would feel good having it on?

I’ve been wondering this since I’ve stopped using it on my warrior, everything feels so much meatier and in control. It’s a personal preference and I know it’s not the best in maxing dps but I feel it’s adding the control I’ve been looking for in combat. I feel as if I killed the enemy instead of waiting for my auto attack to kill something for me.

This is just personal opinion, I’m not going into dps but rather how fun it would be.

A quick suggestion from some random asura engineer, customize the projectile to fit the gun you are shooting.

I’ve always rp’ed in my head that my asura engineer was a dynamics expert and focused on magitech, making guns that fired focused magic from the user, so now I wish that my glyphic guns fired lasers or some form of magic.

It’s just something that has irked me from the start.

The problem with my weapons being misplaced when I hold them was being caused by a pair of gloves: http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Hune%27s_Work_Gloves

This is what it looks like in-game, my brother can also see my weapons being displaced.

Just a small update, figured this out recently.
