Not so sure. They already do race specific versions of outfits. Add to that gender specific plus the helms are already made as individual pieces you can hide. I don’t think its a massive leap in design and modelling to make more pieces interchangeable. Yes there is the fact that some combinations will look horrid (this already exists) but that’s up to that player.
I would just say open all the armour skins to all the classes. If as a warrior I can run about in silk clothes from an outfit I should be able to wear light armour as a skin. Anet went past the feel of realism in that respect with outfits so just go ahead and make it official with all armours it would at least make it interesting.
The most simplistic answer here would be to TEST THE CONTENT BEFORE RELEASE.

And why to people keep assuming that you actually can test everything in the exact same way as it would be on live?
That’s true you cant test exactly but in theory you can test very near to it. It could simply be a matter of taking a large sample of people on servers and as they enter WvW the game adds metadata that says this is their server and the account pings back and tells the server they have completed the “tournament”.
Game sends back data on what it thinks that person should have got and that account then pings back what its got. If there are inconsistencies then you start going through those very defined steps to see whats borking the system.
Its probably true that they did do this and still cant find the bug. If that’s the case chuck it and build a new system for WvW data.
Is this a EU problem only? Or is NA affected as well?
Could be that one of the servers has tipped over into a ditch with its wheels spinning

I think its fine waiting a week but if I was them if they cant solve it by then then they should just blanket reward everyone with top rewards, an apology and a promise to get it sorted by next season. We can then all move on despite the inevitable cries of those who said they worked hard for the top rewards.
I think they are having to roll up their sleeves and manually log people in as done and rewarded. Its the weekend now and its going to take time.
Leave it for a week I reckon, its a big list by the sound of it.
hmm after seeing this thread I decided to check my account it shows I got and opened my chest rewards. I never saw the chest pop up my screen to click on.
Same here its bizarre. I think its all got messed up as last season Im pretty sure it was fine then, at least to me.
Couldn’t there be something like a server affiliation achievement that goes up over time of consistently being in a server and also active in WvW? What the reward could be is gaining better rewards from WvW loot (which sucks) and end of season (50+/100+/etc more mystic whatnot that your server will get) .
If you change server then what accruement you got in the previous server goes down as the accruement goes up in your new server. That way its detrimental to people jumping servers all the time in that yes they win at the end but over time get lesser rewards.
Im sure it could be exploited but just a thought.
Downed state in WvW should have an option for the victim to be picked up and thrown off a cliff, at other enemies or into the blades of team mates. It would be hilarious….yeah asura baseball!
Maybe a T-shirt saying “Im mad as hell and Im not taking this anymore” if UBS will give out the rights
One of those airships in story mode but it takes a massive effort to build and give the enemy something to bring it down and it gives a huge amount of points when its downed.
edit: an Asura megalaser would be just the thing against one of these….

Agreed, the pet is just not viable in WvW if it can be killed off so quickly and that half the traits seem to be for them. Make traps like a toolkit for engis instead of a pet and convert those pet specific traits to be ones for traps when switched. Sounds like balancing hell but I really really want traps that I can set off manually turning those blobs into snakes
These are great ideas and should be tested by Anet in the seasons and see how they turn out. I know that its not exactly as easy as pressing a button to make it work considering resources need to be scheduled in advance and that any genuinely good idea will still take time to go through a review process. However its not exactly rocket science either.
1v1 is seen already when one server cannot compete and the other two just duke it out while stomping on the underdog. Having the server that cannot compete to become mercenary is actually a real world tactic (the enemy of my enemy is my friend) and if Anet formalise it with extra benefits to those servers willing to sell themselves, it could make things interesting.
Well I can only comment on Engineers as that’s my favoured class for wvw but not because its easy but because this class is very versatile in the wvw scenario. Though it becomes a click fest in roaming mode so I favour going with groups and siege as that’s where they excel. Healing bombs, throwing bunches of grenades around, flamethrowers, turrets its just a fun class and I have a good time though Im not uber in anyway. I will say this class is mental when tower or keep attacking/defending and they are getting some love with next update.

When you bang on a door your damage is tracked, when you do the required damage you are placed in a queue, and when the door goes down it goes through the queue and awards credit. Unfortunately someone used the queue code from map wait so you get randomly selected from the queue. That’s just how queues work.
This makes the most sense with what I’ve found as that random element of the queue code (if true) has it that I get a point even if a rival server takes the gate after I’ve hit it a few times. We all go into a list that doesn’t make any credible logic.
I think its more good than bad despite bad queue times. Im doing way more defence than I would have done normally and roaming duels happen more often so yes fun.
From my experience I think I know how it works, its not the last hit but you getting in the FIRST amount of hits to get into a finite number of slots of gate damagers. I don’t know the amount (perhaps 5000-10000) but I’ve tagged gates by myself with bombs and left them and got the point when they were taken, even by rival servers. Try it and post back if successful.
It at least explains why flame rammers aren’t getting the point because the slots were already taken. Still just a theory though.
This is the only achievement that I would rather waste time to do a JP for as its so inconsistent.
Never mind just realised it counts 6 only for each tier of armour….good thing it was only tier 1
Have two Sylvari, one medium and another heavy. I previously bought 2 armour pieces for my medium which were listed as 2/6 in the achievement and recently bought 6 items of armour for my heavy but the tier is listed 6/12 but shouldn’t it be 8/12?
Ive checked that I have all the armours and can only say that I bought the last 6 in quick succession if that makes any difference.
same with Far Shiverpeaks
So Far Shiverpeaks and Gandara are getting rolled ATM and its got me thinking. Heres a thing, if this is happening a lot in other matchup why not introduce a Diplomacy option that if one server gets enough money together they can literally buy the other server off as a merc and become two servers but friendly to the other. This would induce greater option for fair play and a fair amount of backstabbing I would think. Maybe a server can break its ties but suffer a forfeit if it gets a better pay offer from the greater server.
Of course this could be exploited….
