Renegade is a lil lacking ill agree but Weaver is fine imo, Weaver turned the ele into a swordsman, sure its dps isnt as great as tempest but it has so much more substain, watch some wvw videos you can watch weavers fight outnumbered pretty nicely, the goal for Weaver imo was to make Ele not only have a melee weapon but to not die instantly like normal, with the + vit trait from condi/power to simply getting barrier for dodging I just enjoy it both pvp and pve, raids however like I said I dont think their goal was a full on dps elite even so tempest is still better for raids.

First apologize if there is a thread on this Im very bad at finding them.

So when I first saw the traits for deadeye, my first thoughts were I wonder if Deadeyes are going to be the new class for might spread, obv they do a ton of single target damage, but they have a trait which spreads 10 might per stolen skill used up to 10 targets (aka the whole group) to everyone around marked target and if you position yourself it will also spread it to those around you if youre out of distance, Experimented a little during demo, so when you use a stolen skill on marked target you and nearby allies get 10 stacks of might, one of the traits you can get from previous dont quite remember which tree sorry not online atm, but you can use stolen skills twice, + the deadeye trait everytime you use a cantrip you gain a new stolen skill + the cantrip which resets your mark/steal, I played with it and its possible to upkeep that might, now its a lil bit more difficult than warrior because mainly all they gotta do is exist haha but not only do I think the Deadeye deals more damage than warrior, but also the spread is 10 targets meaning you only need one giving room for another DPS, I know alot in raids will change with new elite specs etc but for those super hardcore raid builders that love coming up with strategies heres something to take in. :P

Looks like Clipping won thats good, but it was settled 3 months ago and still nothing :/ didnt think itd be that hard to fix

Legendary Medium Top Back Weapon Placement

So just got the medium legendary top and Im very turned off by back weapon placement on it, it looks like its just floating behind me, I thought maybe its because of the dragon head thing on the back but tbh doesnt look as bad on the refined version, I dont see it being a problem with the big butt coat when entering combat because that wouldnt make sense if youre worried about clipping cause youll be in combat meaning your weapon wont be on your back anyway, just pointing this out and wonder if anyone feels the same, Ill prob just transmute the top when Deadeye comes out but hope they fix this :/

Does it have to be the ardent glorious etc or just any ascended armor, because I got most of my ascended armor though pvp but I ended up changing alot of the stats so now its the original armor, I wouldve never changed them though if I knew we could upgrade them more

So today I was able to get the last charged quartz to make my 6th Ruka Insignia and I went to change the stats on all my armor took me a week to get all these since you can only charge one quartz a day and when I went to change stats excited me accidentally put the top in twice, so it was my fault but I think its really stupid you are able to change the stats of armor to the same thing again, the only benefit I can see you getting is getting the skin if you got a different ascended top than the illustrated like from WvW or PvP, not sure if thats suppose to be possible but if so I dont think it should be lol

So what are your suggestions then? What does the weapon do, and where are the non-faceroll utilities?

Skill 4 would be strikes target, teleports back a little bit then reactivate to send a wave slash that applies weakening

Skill 5 would be strike with both weapons hitting twice granting yourself aegis and retaliation.

As for Profression mechanics Id say Activating Justice would apply burning to your next x Attacks instead of just one, resolve would be a slash motion in front of you that heals allies and damages enemies, courage would teleport you to your target applying aegis dealing damage. Something in those lines. Utilities would be Physical skills in a guardian aspect compared to Warrior and Daredevils

Would love a guardian elite spec which gives us an off hand sword, I know we got DH for a dps elite spec, but I wanted more of an interactive one along with it being melee, DH is just roll your hand across utilities, I am aware that the next elite spec looks like it will be mainhand axe being either a condi/support tree but this just an idea for future ones. I know some people say it doesnt really fit Guardian, but please Warriors getting dual daggers and Engi is getting a sword haha, think Elite specs are there to completely change the way of the class.

So we got Brahms shoulderpads from his outfit as an armor skin in game, could it be possible we get Marjory’s outfit hood ingame, I mainly just want an all type hood, I play Guardian but I would love a hood on him and a cape but lets not dig into that section lol.

So it says there is a new expansion coming this Fall what do you hope to see other than the basic we already we know were getting such as elite specs, new maps etc? Im gonna list some things I hope to see, not expecting to see all of them just some ideas.

-Dueling
Most MMORPGs have the famous dueling system where you and a friend/or stranger can deck it out on the spot. The only means to fight a friend etc atm is either go to a custom spvp lobby for dueling or going to your GH Arena, not bad but sometimes you know you just wanna let some steam loose with a friend on the spot while waiting for that boss to spawn or event to start, dont wanna go through the effort of changing instances and loading in just to have that one fight.

-Bounty Hunting Player Style (More of an idea than what I hope to see)
So the games closest thing to open world PVP is WvW, but tbh that lacks one of the things exciting about open world PVP, which is the thrill of never knowing when youre going to be attacked, in WvW youre always on guard cause thats all youre doing. In this bounty system I was thinking of a new interface where a player can enter the bounty system either as a Hero or Bounty Hunter. The way it would work is if you enter as a Hero, you will be available to be a selected target for a Bounty Hunter, all you do is continue playing the game, doing hearts etc, but the more you get done the bigger the target is on your head. Now signing up as Hero though would give you nice benefits such as like maybe 50% more rewards/exp from events, etc. As for Bounty Hunters you would enter and they would give you a Hero in which they will give you their last known location, its their job to find this Hero and kill him, Doing they will be rewarded a small amount of coin depending on much the Hero has done and how many bounties he has survived. Now to avoid abusing this system the Bounty Hunter will only get 15 minutes to find his target and one life, meaning if he dies from PvE or Hero killing him, he fails his bounty. The Bounties would have a 10 min cooldown between each one, so we dont just have one guy going out there and slaughtering all of Tyria haha.

-New Guild Halls (or more of an actual GH)
So Im actually expecting to see new guild halls but Im hoping to see more of an actual building GH, The two current ones are nice, but Id prefer like just a big Tavern w/ rooms or like a Castle like Vigil HQ for my guild, The others dont feel like Guild halls as they feel more like Guild Areas.

-Trading
I already know why this isnt a thing atm, Gold Sellers and what not can abuse it, but it is very saddening that I cant trade someone to give them a couple gold etc, I know I can mail but even then you have a cap and get suppressed alot, for ex. when I just got a bunch of dyes I already have and asking my guild if they need any and end up having to mail 5+ people a get suppressed. Just hope maybe they can find a way to use this without gold sellers abusing it.

-In game Relationship/Marriage
I myself dont have anyone special for this to apply to me xD, but other games have them and its kinda nice for some people, not only is it fun for you and your partner etc, but it also prevents people from stirring up problems/awkwardness with other players when they try to flirt with someone on the game whos already in a relationship. A way to show they are like a little symbol like the Mastery or Map Completion would be cool. Of course marriages can go anyway M/F F/F M/M, and a little fun feature you could do is add a lil co-op quest/collection in order to get married, the reward would be an ascended ring both you and your other get. When married maybe get a shared bank tab like a guild bank tab, but with only like 8 slots to be reasonable. I know some players may think its lame but I like it to be honest it would save alot of guild drama.

-More Dungeons
I was kinda sad that no new dungeons were added with the last expansion, Dungeons are a fun thing to blow off time with friends or just to experience, I know we have Fractals but theyre kinda small and quick. I would just like to see some new dungeons though.

So we all know with the upcoming LS4 Story stuffs about to go down, and stuff as in DR’s walls and what not but lets get to the important stuff, We all know Caudecus is gonna die some point here and last I remember that mans got a pretty big house mhmmmm Im just saying hes not gonna be needing that anymore, I was thinking maybe if we could just turn that badboy into a GH after he dies as much as all of us guilds love living up in some dirty city or some creeky underground cave, just saying… he wont be needing it anymore (:

Not sure if youre just not allowed to change stats of ascended armor you earn from PVP vendor, but Im trying to change my zerker heavy top to Valk and when I go to MF it wont even show up for me to put it in, and yes I have it unequipped lol.

I always want to be able to turn off helms/headgear when I try on outfits because 99.99% I don’t show helmets. It’s a source of frustration when I can’t. I had intended to buy thus outfit, but now I’m thinking twice. I’m not sure I get a scarf that sends tendrils up one’s face, and apparently into one’s nose, lol.

I know right? like without those it would make a nice crusader/templar tunic haha

I notice alot of the times some outfits arent put in the preview tab under character screen, for example the Ghostly Outfit and Gwens, they only show up once you own the outfit. Problem is I wanted to preview an outfit without the helm on. The ghostly one for example I like the idea of the outfit but I was wondering if I hid the helm would it also hide the little pointy parts coming up from scarf since its in the head area, I couldnt preview so I took a risk bought it anyway and turns out they stay there and it looks like your scarf is picking your nose lol (Screenshot below). So yeah itd be nice if that could be done so I dont buy another outfit Ill probably never use haha.

Had some ideas for new elite specs, not sure where I shouldve posted this I dont use the forums often but I had these ideas I wanted to share! Ill go in order as on Class Selection ingame. I’m just gonna say titles with new weapons and profession mechanics. Also apologize for any bad spelling I was in a rush when typing these haha.

Warrior
Elite Spec: Samurai
Weapon: Sword (Skills Change)
Mechanic: Stamina Management – Right now the warriors adrenaline is set to once you use the move it uses up all adrenaline doing more damage, with this mechanic it will allow you to use each bar separately and would have no cooldown between each one allowing more of a strategic play-style. Such as finally got 3 bars of adrenaline going to use my move now… oh he dodged… with this if that were to happen no problem 2 more rounds left.
(Sword) Basically it would change the Warriors sword skills to fit more of a duelist, Focusing more on counters and the sword would be wielded alone granting 5 sword skills.

Guardian
Elite Spec: Cleric
Weapon: Off-hand Scepter
Mechanic: Passive Virtues (Dont know a good name yet) – Would enhance and change his virtues to be more supportive to allies.
Class would be focused more on a melee healer type of class, Mace+Scepter that way Druid isnt the only main healing class in game.

Revenant
Elite Spec: Champion/Marshal
Weapon: Longbow/Greatsword
Mechanic: Keiran Thackery / Riannoc Stance
For Keirans stance itd be focused more on long range abilities and substain damage, plus Revs need another range weapon haha. Now I came up with two because I’m not sure if Keiran is even dead, so I went with Riannoc the first wielder of Calabog, I thought about doing SPOILER ALERT … Traehearne first but for that reason there It would spoil the story for those who havent finished HoT so Riannoc seemed more fitting. This would give the Revs ability to use Greatsword and focus more on Condi/Vulnerability.

Ranger
Elite Spec: Tamer
Weapon: Scepter Main Hand
Mechanic: Double Trouble – on a 1 min CD you can activate it to bring out both pets equipped at same time, this would allow for alot more stragetic combinations such as having your Tanky pet out there while you have a dps pet sitting back with you etc. The 2nd pet would only stay out for 30 seconds though or until death. Scepter would act as a magical type whip focusing on Dazes/Condi.

Thief
Elite Spec: Executioner
Weapon: Greatsword
Mechanic: Execution – This would work similar to Warriors adrenaline, as in combat youd build a bar and once full you can perform your “Execution move depending on weapon.” to your target dealing alot of damage, the catch to make it diffrent from Warrior is it can only be used once per enemy and it would refill Iniation. Greatsword was inspired by the world event boss Legendary Executioner. Example of “Execution” for GS would be Rend Stab your foe then follow up with an upward slash applying 10 stacks of bleeding and 10 stacks of vulnerability.

Engineer WARNING I CAME UP WITH THIS QUICKLY
Elite Spec: Pilot
Weapon – Mace
Mechanic: Call Mech – Utility belt would be replaced by a bar that fills slowly over time, and your utility skills would be diffrent parts allowing Engineers to customize parts of their mech. For example 6 would be body allowing diffrent types of repair/heal skills, 7 would be the left arm you could do flamethrower, rifle, net, etc. 8 Right Arm. 9 Legs. 10 Self Destruct. I would explain this better with more time but it would add more of the ability to let an engineer play multiple roles. I chose mace because I though maybe like a small wrench or something.

Necromancer
Elite Spec: Warlock
Weapon: Mace
Class Mechanic: Demon Shroud – allowing the Necromancer to turn into a big built Demon type and would allow the class to focus more on tanking, and skills would be Curses such as Taunts, Making an enemy do less damage for x amount of time, etc.
Maces would use sigils then apply curses similar to staff.

Elementalist
Elite Spec: Spellsword
Weapon: Sword
Class Mechanic: Imbue – The way overloading works you can reactivate and element to imbue your current weapon giving it diffrent effects on its weapon skills for example imbuing fire would give your weapon skills more burn like effects and if it already had burn it would increase the damage.

Mesmer
Elite Spec: Dreamcrusher
Weapon: Hammer
Class Mechanic: Dream Shatter – Shatter all clones to cause all nearby enemies to be stunned for x amount of time. The class would mainly focus on delayed damage, skills would apply marks that would detonate after a certain time then dealing their effects, this would mess with people in PvP or timed dps in PvE.
