War new meta looks to be d/s and Hamer with no stability we will just get farmed. New necromancer looks nice but it will all come down to how good our Tele stuns brakes and portal play out as well as how supportive the bunkers will be with us as a combo otherwise necromancer will be in the worst place its ever been in pvp
The barriers look interesting and with a aura share ele u can be un Killerble on a 2v3 but on a 1v1 they don’t seem to last that long… They drain to quickly and it will be wasted allot so u will have to be on such a high level on timing. if the trait works with it the one where ds drains slower might be a great fix but also might be op Wil have to wait and see

The problem with spvp is it was always Ment to be a side thing a fun brake for guildys daily extra. But for a time before esl it started to be Poeples only focus and hit about 10% of gw2 player base. They noticed this and to acomedate they tried to make esl work and failed due to balance and conquest being boring as kitten to watch. Spvp is gone back to being a side thing and with new expansion I bet they will focus on making open world pvp a main thing like it was in first 2years of game. It’s a shame as I only enjoy small scale pvp 5v5
I got bored of all the meta in ranked in platinum at MO so went on my old school war zerker. I owned next 6 games I just fished far won all 1v1 and kite around fishing 2+ players why rest of team afk mid close killed w/e come. I think war is out of meta because of nerf making it easy to read but if played right it’s still t he best 1v1 and fishing class
Played my old school meta zerker war in ranked to troll fish far. As Poeple get used to meta and think only a war farmed them 1v2 1v1 then had 1v4 down one then afk stood heal why they rez. Was a horror story for them as kept getting vs me for like next 4games and never learnt leason

Rewards like pvp skins and cloaks with ranks showing. Will get Poeple involved. You need to show Poeple the reward for starting pvp a nd what you could gain after allot of investment. At moment its only respect and to be known is only gain for effort. And that’s only enough to please a select few.
We need things like class persific chest trees and you only progress in them with a win in ranked and only unlock with a rank such as 10 20 etc and each class has his own rank and rank gain can only be gained I winning ranked. This make sit so you aim for full gear set and to get to take ranked 100 and have the last maybe a cloak or body it shows you got rank 100 on thf and it could even be a silly number like u must of won 1000 games in ranked on thf to get that. And once done you then try on a different class. Titles apart from God of pvp are un noticed as such a miner un cared about thing I am shocked Poeple still read them like they mean anything. You know what no. This makes me angry that Poeple pug a group or make a random 5man guild team and expect to own. At is avilible for everyone but to expect to win first prize by pugging is a joke. You want to win make a static pre-made and work hard spend time practicing and compete don’t think Yeah I am good the 4 others in my team are good solo to so we will win this as you won’t. You will never beat a team that puts time and effort into his team’s progress. At are t here for everyone and equal chances for everyone but if u want top prise then your team will need to put the blood sweat and tears in like others did and earn it.
I really want to static team to do at with and accept and know it will be a hard road ahead before we get top 5.we are lucky to have at available for all and the 100needed to do monthly is pugble if u focus on it for like 3weeks a new we will also get lucky and get your 100 but if I ever won the monthly with a random team I would quit the game as it will take the joy of earned competitive pvp away.
I play necromancer main at MO and I hate x1000 moan but what I hate most and the only change I will be happy with if we got something is this… JUMP I want to be able to jump in moa!!! I think mess is well balanced at moment. Yes in right hands it’s a carry class same as thf but that’s only 5% of mess and thf. I think the 5% dps ele players are worse with there bursts.

I win most of my games with any comp vs any. Nothing to op u just use what you get to how it’s Ment to be used. If they super strong on paper for 4v4 then you 3far 2 close wait till they Leave 1mid once they realize and 2jump and kill mid. You just have control map and /t chat to inform them what to do. I win most games because I am good and thinking of counter tactics throughout the game. If team don’t lisson then I counter what they are doing. Never be afraid to /t chat tell them at start u will be doing it and asked them nicely to take it in mind what u recommend. Never be rude
Players like helsith have done great videos in past that teach allot about map play. Anet never will so we should be promoting these more or making our own.
You k own that 99% of those afk players or d/c because of the patch. I got into my game last night and before it started I change class as I play to win and it would not let me back in to game. I loose lots of point I get a hefty dishonor and then messages from my 4guys claiming I am fixing matches. I agree Poeple should play to last point and not quit or afk as 2 days ago we was looseing 435/126 we had ago at each other for sucking then all went try hard got 3 cap and farmed and control whole map we won 500/465 so this proves although a small chance u ain’t winning till last point hits. So hate afkers. I think Poeple should not be banned from a report but a list of reports over a week. If it was a one of rage quit or baby feel over and rl took over banned from the game ain’t fair
So yeah after patch I get stuck in loading screen and when reloging I get put in mist why my team does a 4v5 I loose points still for this even tho it’s a you problem and not a me problem. I then get hate messages on top of my losing point calling me out for match fixing and then a 20min dihoner lmao so end up logging. So will I get my points back because ever point helps and it’s because of your bugs not my computer
Yeah yesterday I won 15games in a row I think this put my mmr up. It was always close games with both teams a chance to win. Then today I lost 9 in a row and looking at my team they was far to out of meta to seem pro and we lost bad. I can carry if teams are same level but I can not 1v5 I think my mmr got high so they put me with low mmr to balance it out? Am I right on this?
I will give you some tips to make your ele play better. I duo allot with one and we win allot of games. First u are squishy and a good teams first target so don’t rush in thinking u fine and will have time to think. 2 never be the one to bunker and afk a point unless it’s the winning move for the game. 3 always be the one moving and roaming u have a role of mobility support in a sense so u should try to be in every fight that matters so never sit still. 4 I f u feel the fight is a loss unless u really need the point for a win leave Leave before the wipe and annoy somewhere else never let them fully wipe the team because once they do that they have control of whole map and will have time to think how to out rotate to u all. Go far or something let some follow so they don’t play 3 points and give your team sometime to think where best to focus. I see so much Poeple just staying in a fight until it’s a full wipe. Early in a game that should never happen.
Thf and Mrs ain’t op. They just balanced for their role for. Mobile and +1 and holding someone 1v1 don’t hate them because all other classes don’t want a role and want their role why playing not their class

If you play ranked and get high up of off season u will see some pro players mess around with nec for fun and all though they don’t main it they move very well and are God’s on it. It’s not even their main and they can bring that much of off the class showing how strong it can be if u put all focus on it. As for videos I find Holts has done some Good ones on condi showing how u should move. If u get in a pug game off season in ranked and see missha or helsith bluri or a top tier player, ask them nicely to log necro and watch them play and how they use the map. I am sure if u ask they won’t mind

I don’t see any pvp only guilds anymore. I can understand why they stopped booming since u can not play season ranked 5 man. But with the up and coming I thought some Poeple who only do pvp like me and live in mists would start making or recruiting again. I do see some of the old esl guilds about but they don’t recruit and just keep what they got.
I really am interested in joining one, I am in a social guild at MO that does a bit of all and have no intention to leave but I would like to be in a just pvp guild as well for well pvp.

1v1 is hard on any build u really have to understand the class you are vs. The reason for this is that they did everything in their power to make necromancer a none 1v1 class. In my eyes utility wise for selfish Rome and 1v1 is worm poison cloud thing that blocks prog and fear wall. U use fear wall vs all classes and move around it dot and pre Rdy for it to finish. It’s an amazing ability and gives u the time u need to think. It’s my version of endure pain. If u lay the poison cloud down at same time u stop Rng on u and melee on fear wall so in that time lay as much dps as u can. And staff ability at feet ready for that push. Lay worm to use after ds and instant take to get that distance and Rdy to choose what to do next.
To add tho I play like a thf and decap and look for the +1. If I am holding close and a grd comes and I feel like my team is to busy to support I would leave and let the grd have to as he/she will be more drawn to the point than Chace me around and I would go support the team fight and bring back team mates to zero grd on a later date. If a thf comes tho I would not run as I have enough experience to know they would chance me around than cap point. So I would stand my ground and fight to death, same with Rev and war. Some mesmer but you should be taking note of the players mind set and play style thought out the game. If a player goes your close at start I bet 200g that’s how he will play for whole game and annoy your outer points. Poeple have set patens and u have to notice them
Even though I solo que sometimes I will focus more on team fights. If I notice I have a ele that is showing signs to want to focus protect me I will look to be more aggressive and even play till death as the chance for ref is high.
I agree. Meta is set up for t he best 5v5 builds but on some classes u should not use it for solo que. Classes like grd dru ele eng it’s safe to use them for solo que as u will focus so much on team fights. But war thf messages nec Rev should build around what they are vs and be a little selfish
Poeple think necromancer is broken because they die using meta builds on solo que. The meta build at MO is for group play so you need a pre-made to make it work at full effect. If you solo que don’t play meta at all play a kite kill build. I solo que on my necromancer on eu Goldilock and don’t play meta and you know what I have little Problems. I don’t die to much I avoid notice, play range and leave before wipe. Necromancer is strong very strong if it’s meta with team or if it’s your own build for solo. You just have to build around the match up you got.
I think conquest is OK as it is. My problem is that the 3 maps u choose from are all conquest maps. It should be one conquest 1 based around Lord kill and one for 5v5 f or role switch or capture the flag

If you want the gear do more pvp get better to get the set u like say if the set u love the look of is in Plat find 2 classes u can play and understand map role and work hard to get it. Crying is fine, as it will. Mean there is rewards for each aspect of game that are uneak to that sector and if u want you put time in that area. I think it will save pvp. + even they don’t add gear would settle for a cloke of the colour on ranking u get. They can add stupid things in this game but no cloke I don’t get it? So I play pvp only now probly for last 3years. But there is nothing to show for it. U can not show pvp rank and if you could its easy to up rank by grind same as Pve, u can not prove skill by title as only title that matters is God of pvp and come on one guy in your area can get so try but don’t set heart to getting. Pve there’s gear to show how hard to raid. When I see seasons start and gear was there I thought yes at last something only I can get and Poeple like me! Nope it’s same crap gear and looks as other gear and u can grind to get. I wanted to ????. Why Didnt they do gear for each tier. If if u are in say gold u get to choose 1item from a gear set if u are gold at end of season. So it gives u reason to do each season as u want full set of that gear and it can only be Got from pvp seasons, each tier the gear set is uneak and different. Back peice is a cloke with the colour made it to. So ofc we all want to hit leg at least once to choose a black cloke ect. Just doing this would be soo amazing and give them Poeple who only enjoy pvp something to show for it.
(Mind my spelling) I like not fighting 5man premades when I solo que. But it should of been a trick box to fight them or not. Takeing the option to team up with guildys for tpvp season has taken away t he reason to join small tpvp focus guilds away from game. Noone cares now what tag you have so recruiting by doing well as a premades has gone there for join a zero guild is only option. I miss the old days. Also loved the tpvp in first year with win a game go stage 2 and fight premades who got there and get good loot if u win stage 3. Plzzz bring that back.

Want to start a thread for people to help me come up with a idea to put forward to anet.
My idea so far for pvp none stat skins is to unlock them with pvp rank. Say legs at rank 80 boots 100 hands 150 head 200 shoulders 250 body 300. I will do nothing with asen gear I only pvp and want a reward that only I can get and shows rank like the achievement point gear.
When I hold a point on eng I fear little but necromancer is one that I scream help with as I myself struggle vs them, not all as I am skilled enough to own a noob that’s my counter. But when I care about the point and do not want to play kite I find necromancer is my counter on eng. When I play thf I find revs and necromancer the most easy to kill. On my eng I with my build find I counter rangers thfs and grds ( not so much a burning grds. But this is my counters to confirm these as being hard counters I would need people to agree with me.
Yes I was as well I thought maybe it was because of the first 10games I only won 4/10 2 had afk trolls I think alt accounts? But later I read after don’t effect score then I thought maybe it’s because I have had so many games like everyday for 3 years so many losses in that time. My win loose is very 50 although this last year I win more than loose because more noobs to farm (due to adding Pve gear) and less premades to fight. I have made 3threads asking why they put such a experienced player bottom Bronze with the brand new players. It was not fair on them as I would just rip them apart on my thf and it’s not fair on me that I have to carry every game and lead them.
Pips on a loss is just a joke. But then again the players who play for that Pve gear should Leave once they get it right? So all might do one by Jan and I will get a good enough team to have a real pvp match. Also if they do a update it should be a 3man que.
This grind socks. I have been pvp focus from launch of game. Rank 300ish over 5k games in pvp have a win loses about the same mainly because I solo que and always go vs pro players when season is over so of course it will be win one loose one but I always play well and give grate games. But with all this I start in Bronze? I don’t understand? I have had to grind 100 games just to get to gold Lmao! But when I looked at leader boards top 10players where at like 10 wins and top plays and I was at like 50 wins 10 looses but bottom! I bet if everyone started in Bronze these pro players will still be there as u can only carry so much in these games. I am 1v3 and win and game can still loose? Why did I start at bottom? When I have proved every season I am leg? I don’t mind it if everyone was equal and had to face role to top but why did I had to but people like my brother who is new to pvp with only few games and sucks BTW start In gold? Evan do you know what kittened me off with this season. I started in bronse lmao I always get leg ranking. I am rank like 300 close 3k pvp games. But when I did my first 10 games I had to carry had some of them with d/c and even the wins we got it was from me carrying and when we lost it was because some people just can’t be carried. So when I started in bronse I get like 10 points a game and need 100 wins to get my rightful place at top. I will go there and I will make sure I take top spot! Does anyone agree that it’s open that Rngs pet does dmg on you when u down Rng. Not only does Rngs pet attack you why u try finish Rng also has his down abilities. Many a time I kill a Rng after a tough fight then try finish on low life. Pet kills me and not only that when both down Rng get rezzed by pet lmao. Yes I do try heal up or use something to stop this from happening but on a rare case pet will kill me on t he struggle finish. Just find it out of order lmao
