Here is the problem I see, I never see any advertising for the game, and it is 3 years old, you see the problem with trying to lure new players.

the only reason for starting at level 80 is to let you play in the new area of the map for HOT, since all of HOT is lvl 80

Here is my take on revenant, It is hard to tell how to play a toon when you start at max,with no input on armor or weapons. Even though my main is a guardian I still had some problems with the learning curve for the skills, and only a 2 hour limit. Hard to make a good evaluation.

i remember the open betas for everyone who prepaid for GW2 and they were a whole weekend event with some stress test during days or random times if you spammed the launch key

still unknown, we do know that it will first be available with the expansion, but we dont know if a new toon can be created in the old map

It seems to be a trend with all games, they will announce something, then put some info out over two weeks, then nothing for months, then another 2 weeks and then nothing for months and so on. A great example was GW2 they announce it 5 before release WHY. If you want a different game look at starcraft 2 legacy of the void expansion, how long has that been in the works

will the new announce specialties be available during the beta test next month? I am just curious, my main is a guardian and I would love to test dragonslayer.

It is funny since Anet has not announced any pre purchase or release date as of yet. Heck they haven’t even announced when the beta is that the portals are used for. I would not believe then unless you see it on the Anet website, and trust me when it is announced you will know.

you are wrong, there were 2 campaigns that came with 2 slots each, factions and nightfall. you could play either of the campaigns without the other 2, the only true expansion was Eye of the North and you got no slots with it. and with the expansion you had to have 1 of the campaigns

just a observation, we got the extra slot with nightfall and assassins both were “campaigns” and could be played independently of prophecy. when EofN came out it was a “expansion” and we got no extra slot. But I also would like to know.

In the last 2 weeks I have having a crashing issue doing world boss events, such as Teq or KQ. I seem to be able to fix it by simply dialing down the graphic settings to the minimum. What gets me it really has just started in the last 2 weeks with the normals quality settings. Any suggestions

With the new expansion, would you have a separate world completion or will they just extend the current world completion? I just wonder, what do you guys think, I know they will reveal that is the appropriate time.

My old AMD phenom (not II)/ motherboard died wednesday before thanksgiving (sucks) since neither can be updated (not sure which is actually bad) I need to do a big upgrade. I will need a CPU, motherboard and memory. Everything else is good. But should I go with the I5 or AMD 8350. From what i priced so far I can get both sets for about $400. Any suggestions would be nice.

I am disappointed, i waited 5 years since i first heard about the game while playing GW1, played all the betas, even some of the stress tested, those announce and unannounced (surprise). To hear we are getting a mini that everyone else is getting as the big 1 year birthday and maybe a scroll to level to 20 (already have from from a achievement chest and still haven’t used it.) I believe is a huge fizzle. I was hoping for better and they still have a week to change it.

I love the game but with the new content coming out every 2 weeks, it is hard for some of us who work to get all the content done before it is gone, not sure what is the magic number 1 month seemed to long, maybe 3 week rotations. What do you guys think

Since Anet is doing a major update to the trait tree, I think there should be a 24 hour time where someone can change their traits. Cause some do not have the coin to pay. Just a suggestion.

I remember having to scream for help while doing frozen maw, and pretty much had to solo it (maybe a few others) about 4 months ago. Now it seems from the start to finish is about 1 minutes and you are lucky to get a few shots in for a sub-event. I actually did maw once from the start and before i could get from the portals to the boss he was dead and i didn’t get a chest. (got 2 of the 6 and they were bronze rewards). It seems to have gotten worse with the new once a day rule.

What are your feelings about this?

Please fix the overflow problems, i had a fellow guildmate tell me that claw was up. I warped to the waypoint and found i was in the overflow, with no claw event up. He was in a different world fighting the walls and when i tried to join his group, got the message world is full, and then it told me to have him join me in my world and we are both on dragonbrand, but i was in the overflow. Please fix this is annoying and i spend 4.5 silver just warping for nothing.

i posted about this 20 hours ago, and reread the last official reply that they were working on it that was 22 hours ago, nothing has been said about it other than complaints. One would think for a hot topic like this they would reply every few hours to show concern

happened to me at claw, thought maybe, just maybe i didnt get a hit in, but that is unlikely

Same thing happened to me got 6/5 the daily tasks disappeared from the upper right and no chest got the double Veteran and level at the same time

just got a reply from support, saying no worry around and they are sorry for no reward, but they are tracking these comments. Geee thanks, sounds like i took the time to file a report only to be told sorry you are out of luck.

How hard would it be to add a players guild rank when you click on their name and that little info window at the top opens, you know the one that give name, level (adjusted), profession and a portrait on the right. It would be nice to know if you are talking to a officer, general, minion master or the actual guild leader.
