Scarlet will be Mordremoth’s final champion in the raids
a REAL Elite spec for Guards that actualy make sense………
Like 2handed Greatshields?
No man, Main hand shield for dual wield purposes
The living story will probably be designed so you can solo it, like they did with season 2.
The raids might be a bit of a side story where you take down Mordremoth’s generals or something (idk just speculating a bit here). Much like the story dungeons were to your personal story from lvl 1-80. You had your story where you join the Pact and the dungeons told the story of Destiny’s Edge coming back together.
I suspect something like that.
What I saw in your video at the VERY slow motion part, is that their attack reaches you BEFORE your endurance is drained (the conditions and stun are applied before your endurance is reduced). So your roll probably didn’t count as a dodge yet at that point.
I still find it weird that you get interrupted though. Either your endurance should not have been drained or the roll should be effective, but not this.
EDIT: clarification
You might run into a little bit of difficulty if you were not around during Living Story Season 1. Since a lot happened during season 1 and also a lot of characters were introduced back then and I imagine you can feel a bit overwhelmed if you don’t know what happened during season 1.
Still, you can probably find what happened story-wise in season 1 on the wiki (or fan sites) if you are interested in the story.

Warcraft? You mean the game that gives you the base game plus every expansion other than the newest one for twenty bucks a month? That Warcraft?
Fixed it for you
inb4 LFG parties requiring the Royal Guard Outfit so they know you’re not a f2p user
My question at this point is, playing normally (i.e. not taking off armor, using the best items available, etc.), at what point does the game because challenging/more difficult in PvE in reflection of games like WoW, SWtoR and some of the games I’ve mentioned? Lvl 20? 30? This will be the deciding factor if I should stick around.
Thanks again for the help.
You can try to play the dungeons when you reach the required level. Ascalonian Catacombs becomes available at level 30 for the story and level 35 for the explorable mode, where you get more loot than in the story. I remember when I first hit level 30 and went into the dungeon it was pretty difficult. If you want a challenge you should look for a party around level 30-40 and give that a try.
however. i don’t know where, kevin eastman get the idea for “Ninja” ’s weapon.
Ninja is japanese assassin. recording history there is NO (Bo)staff for their weapon.
Ninjas are NO assassins: ninjas are infiltrators, information gatherers. Primarily used to get in, grab/learn what you need and get out, all while remaining undetected.
They were also trained in combat, but killing someone was their ABSOLUTE last resort if there were no other options left. They would often use martial arts (the physical skills the thief is getting in the Spec) or non-lethal weapons to just incapacitate enemies instead of killing them.
They are more like acrobats than killers, and a staff providing utility skills like the Dust Sweep that was datamined fits perfectly for this theme. The rapid flurry of fist attacks that was datamined in the physical skills could be a refference to rapidly hitting enemies in their pressure points to incapacitate them.

Personally I am still confused about the free character slot.
Am I right to assume that pre-purchasing the base version of the expansion gives my account, which has been created on day 1, an extra character slot?
What happens if I Pre-purchase the Deluxe version, do I get 2 slots?
Yes, the additional character slot was added to all pre-purchase version in addition to what was already listed. Meaning that Deluxe and Ultimate will get 2 slots total.
I don’t even know how to respond to this…

Still no high mobility skills on the Engineer set either, which are essential for a Thief.
The only movement on an Engi rifle is Overcharegd Shot, which is a self-inflicted knockback so not that positive of an effect. You forgot https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Jump_Shot
Ok, I don’t know how I missed that one

Why do people assume Thiefs are getting a rifle? A rifle is a stand still and shoot weapon, taking aim for a while and deal tons of damage with a single hit (Warrior Burst skill for example).
Well there’s only 2 examples of Rifle in the game atm. The one you’re describing is relative to Warriors, stand and shoot. However look at Engineer’s rifle skills, they’re more “mobile” orientated enabling the Engi across different ranges.

A thief, on the other hand, is all about mobility, fast movement around the battlefield and getting close to the enemy to assassinate them. Or in the case of the shortbow and pistol to cast trick shots to control/distract/apply debuffs.
A rifle doesn’t even fit close to what a Thief is supposed to be, the weapon is too slow and clunky for the class.
A melee staff can be used as a fighting stick, allowing the user to perform very acrobatic moves and attacks like for example a pole vault over the enemy or making the enemy trip by lifting the enemy’s legs with the staff. This DOES fit in the Thief spectrum and would make much more sense in my opinion.
What do we need mounts for? So we can go and gather even more skins?
We already got the waypoints as a fast travel option, and for walking we have a lot of +25% movement speeds options and swiftness that gives 33%. Besides, the distance between locations is not that big that mounts would be useful anyway.
First of: i’m a Sylvari player.
So in the main story there is this part where I had to find the “legendary Sylvari blade” Caladbolg. Since my Wyld hunt was about killing dragons and all i thought “Sweet, that thing will be mine”. But then Trahearne happened…. i had to give him the sword and he used it to cleanse Orr and everyone was like “woohoo, Trahearne saved us” and all I was thinking was “kitten, give me my sword back.”
And he is completely useless, everything he did in the story could have been done by the player as well. I don’t even remember when he started showing up and even less why he showed up in the first place.
Bottom line, he basically steals the spotlight from the player EVERY TIME HE’S IN THE STORY without really doing something useful.
(I even made a male Sylvari alt named Trahoirne to play as Trahearne’s kittened little brother as a joke, but they made me change the name)

I understand what you mean Stinjam, but both weapon and legend swap would mean there are 4 different movesets, like the elementalist. Except that the Elementalist can’t have a weapon swap.
At this rate, Revenant would have 4 sets with 2 active at all times. And Elementalist would have 4 sets with only 1 active at a time. Sure, the main reason why Elementalist doesn’t have weapon swap is because they would have 8 sets and that is a SEVERE overkill, but allowing the Revenant to swap weapons and legend apart from each other would be unfair in my opinion.
I support this idea. If you could add a weapon to your stance the same way you equip weapons on other classes (weapon slot 1 = legend stance 1) it would make the revenant much more versatile and you won’t be punished for bringing a certain weapon.
I think they will add additional utility skills for the different legendary stances for diversity purposes. It still feels weird to have your 1-5 skills locked without being able to weapon/attunement swap.
You wasted my time, it’s your fault. If you continue asking for this feature, then you must be made to acknowledge how selfish a request it is.
I like how you start off saying they are wasting YOUR time, then proceed calling THEM selfish.
But that’s none of my business.
You might have an argument if I had claimed to be generous. But I only asked for what was fair and for everyone to take responsibility for themselves.
Lacking an argument, you posted a meme. Back to reddit?
Just pointing out your hypocrisy.
I personally don’t mind the typing to delete. Sure, on some items it’s a bit annoying, like on obsidian shards or other ascended materials that I get way too much. But besides those it’s just a failsafe for when someone missclicks or something.
My disappointment was not loss of stats, but shifting more stats to gear. Why not provide a stat interface option with a limit of 300 in any one stat and a number of stat points consistent with the 30% buff to gear stats (i.e., less than the 1400 possible under old traits)?
That would be a bad idea honestly. With the old trait system, where the stats were in the trait lines, you had to sometimes choose if you wanted stats or the traits you wanted. (Of course, there were also possibilities where the desired stats and traits were in the same line). If you seperate the two there is no more sacrifice. You would take your 3 strongest trait lines, and then proceed to put +300 in power, precision and ferocity (or condition damage if you play with conditions). It would make the offensive armor sets even more powerful and no one would even consider defensive stats anymore.

Ranger was the first class I played, and is still my main after almost three years.
Honestly, the Ranger is a VERY underestimated class. It’s true that they give little party boosts in the form of boons, but they are very lethal with and offensive Longbow setup at 1500 range. More than once I killed thiefs before they could even reach me with Rapid Fire + Quickening Zephyr. The damage output of that combo is just rediculous.
Shortbow is good for close range kiting if you like to keep using a ranged weapon. And Sword+Dagger gives you, like what, 3 evasions?
There are tons of ways to succesfully play a Ranger, be it PvE, PvP or WvW
Long story short: If you think Ranger is bad, you just can’t play that class. Not saying you’re bad at the game in general, the class is just not for you.
