Hey, i was curious about your lockdown build as a beginner mesmer, any tips for the optimal performance out of it?

This is depressing. But i really like Guard

So i hit 80 with my first character. Now I don’t really know what my next steps are… I have my armorsmith at 425 (worked on it while leveling). Should i craft an exotic set? What stats? I was thinking Marauder because it seems to have more vitality according to the wiki.

Also Is there any way to get an ascended bow and greatsword? Thats the build i’m going with now because i don’t know what i’ll focus on.

I’m playing the game again (haven’t since early 2013) and i missed all the living story season 2 stuff so it is behind a paywall for me now.

I’m also kind of overwhelmed, the guild i was in was seemingly disbanded. So now i have no friends, no guildies, or anyone to ask for help. More than anything what i would really like is someone who can give me a place to talk to other people and have in this game. Like a guild ;P.

I don’t really want anything but some good advice on how to succeed in the game. What i’ll do is pass that on to someone else who is new(or returning) and may need help. =)

I’ve come back to playing this game from a long time, like early 2013. The highest char i have is a level 36 Ele. I am pretty confused as to what exactly i do now.

Ah ok, are the rewards worth it? Should i buy the pack?
I’m thinking of buying HoT, but maybe after i exhaust the core game. although there is the new masteries stuff. Also new car slot since i had gw2 core game registered when it came out.

Do i need the living story stuff to advance in the game? i never logged on to unlock alot of that and now it seem i need to buy it for 16$…

What’s happened? Anything cool? I just never got in to it last time i guess. I played GW1 for ages and GW2 was an obvious choice for me.

In Guild Wars 1 we had some skills changed when we entered PvP areas. I’ve heard some complaints of how classes that have changes done in pvp makes some skills useless or builds useless. Why not employ this method? To keep both pve and pvp happy.
