I don’t see the need for this. Toggle-able head, shoulders, gloves is already more than most MMO’s allow. But who knows, maybe you’re onto something…
New gem store item: Invisible Armor – ONLY 800 gems! “Hang out with your wang out!”
Would be sweet if GW2 had an in-game pawn shop where you could pawn soulbound items/materials to an NPC for a reasonable amount gold. And once you’ve pawned your item(s), you receive an account bound receipt that will allow you to buy your stuff back from any of your characters, but at an increased rate. This way you could transfer your soulbound stuff to other toons, but it’ll cost ya.
As a mesmer, I have to disagree. Love my skill effects, though I wouldn’t be against making them even better.
as a warrior i would like to complain about my stale skill effects. Thank you for reading.
No offense, but you probably should of thought about that before you chose the most generic class in MMOs. How cool can hitting something with a club look?

Hmm…off the top of my head, I like dodging, deposit collectibles, content scaling, TP orders, crafting system, open world bosses, dyes, skins, transmutation, different skills for different weapons, weapon swapping, runes/sigils, magic find %, graphics/art style, salvaging, commanders, mystic forge, downed/revive system, waypointing, no gear inspection, guild missions, resource nodes can’t be hijacked, help non-party members instead of competing with them.
This game did a LOT of things right.
I have to agree with OP. It’s not a issue now that I’m 80 and can solo champions, but whilst leveling up I shared the same frustrations. However, I’m not sure how this could be fixed without creating equal frustrations for the opposing crowd that doesn’t see this as a problem. My advice would be to just avoid these kind of densely populated areas if you’re not up for a challenge, you can always come back later when you’re 80 and laugh your way through it.
Considering how many people agree that the FoV is too low, they must have a good reason why such a feature has not yet been implemented…what it is, I have no idea.
Currently, the only way to increase your FoV is by playing in windowed mode and manually scaling down the vertical resolution so it is much wider than it is tall.
Like so…
You think they care about your 5 wasted inventory slots? That’s likely the whole point of having 5 different chests/cyphers in the first place; to increase revenue from bag/bank slot upgrades. It may sound like a cheeseball tactic, but with no monthly fees it doesn’t take a genius to understand why it must to be done.
With that said, I have no idea when Scarlet’s lair will return.
This may be a cool idea for a WvW Boss. Besides that…it wouldn’t work out.
Must be a very offensive name if you’re still worried about it a week later…
I was just thinking about this the other day…it would be nice.
Brilliant. ANet should hire this guy…
…Or even a more subtle effect like having the portal animation flowing in the direction it will take you.
I tend to use portal a lot, I think it helps in many situations and it’s an all around fun skill. One problem I have is; many people mistakenly hop in my exit portal thinking they will save some time, but instead, they are sent backwards like 100 yards.
One idea I had would be to have arrow indicators on the portal itself when it becomes active. The arrows would point to the location of the opposite portal. An entrance port would point forwards and an exit portal would point backwards. I don’t know if this would be difficult or even possible to program into the game, but I think it would greatly reduce the number of those unintentional “troll” ports…
That is all,
peace.
If you stare at this one long enough, it looks like my character is flexing with midget arms…
Hate to be the guy to suggest making the game more like World of Warcraft, but do any of you remember the epic weapon quest chains in Vanilla WoW? As a hunter, I was after Rhok’delar, Longbow of the Ancient Keepers. The quest had me traveling across Azeroth, dueling powerful demons before I was able to obtain it; a true test of skill and knowledge of your class.
I haven’t played WoW for over 5 years, but this was a memorable experience that stuck with me long after I stopped playing…something you just don’t get with crafting.
So basically, +1 to the idea for an epic quest chain to acquire precursors. Would be so much better than throwing insane amounts of materials at a forge.
A group I was in the other day kept stacking and dying on Spider in AC…
After several fails, I suggested we attempt the boss normally, no stacking. This idea prompted questions like “Are you CRAZY??” and “WTF?”; my party did not agree.
Well, after getting our kitten handed to us several more times, they decided to give up stacking and fight her in the big room like I previously suggested…
We won easily, first try.
Sure, It may have taken 20% longer, but at least we didn’t end up as a pile of bodies. When you actually have room to breathe, skill becomes a factor, rather than standing in a corner spamming buttons; hoping your HP is high enough to soak up the next big boss attack.
Tired of all these try hard pvp’ers ruining everything for us casual players that need all the help we can get…
I get mostly playable frame rates outside of large cities (avg about 40-45fps), but I feel like I could achieve a solid 60 if the game put more of my CPU to work.
Right now GW2.exe only puts my CPU under about 25%-35% load. This might be fine if my CPU was super high end, but it’s not. I’ve always read that this game relies heavily on CPU, so why the hell isn’t it using it?
Is there something I can do to get higher CPU usage, or is the game just that badly optimized?
AMD x6 1055t @3.3ghz
ASUS 5850 DirectCU @ 850/1150
4gb g.skill
I know i’m due for some upgrades, but I see no reason I should have to when the game can’t even put to use what I have now. I get better performance in newer games like Battlefield 4, perhaps because it actually puts my system to work.
Any suggestions?
Thanks.
