Any info on this?
Over the last few months I have picked up on some people moving at roughly 40% speed sometimes without even having the swiftness boon (33% Speed Bonus) and not playing in Desert Borderland (no Shrine Bonus)
Do you think there are people out there running some kind of subtle speed hack allowing them to move at roughly 40% (slightly faster than swiftness) ?
These potential hackers do not “blip” or “Teleport” around on my screen as a result of speed hacking like the obvious hackers do. These subtle hackers can only be detected by measuring their speed vs anothers. I really notice it when in melee combat with them they seem to be able to move around much swifter than I even though I have perma-swiftness or sometimes in a pursuit I notice them pulling away or catching up to me (not using gap closers).
Anyone else have any imput?
Once a person owns a piece of the new top tier armor can you change the stats on the armor once you have selected them or do they become permanently the stats you chose?

Crystalline Ore and Fulgurite for HOPE

Hello,
I am crafting HOPE and I just finished Vol. 4. Now I am going to finish the Mystic Forge parts. I noticed I need 250 Fulgurite and 250 Crystalline Ore.
This seems like a lot and I was wondering if anyone could give me some insight on how to gather enough of these as efficiently as possible.

The current system sometimes produces balanced matchups across the board but other times it produces imbalanced matchups. If you take a look at this weeks matchups you will see how imbalanced they are.
We need a new system. People talk about having another WvW Tournament. Why not have an indefinite tournament? Winners of weekly matchups are guaranteed to move up a rank. Losers are guaranteed to move down.
This takes the guessing out of match making. There is too many unknown variables in the current system. The new system is simple and has no variables.
What are your thoughts?
Ive been playing p/d condi thief since the beginning of the game and I have been watching this whole “ghost thief” perma stealth trapper condi thief thing develop and I was just watching some videos of the ghost thiefs performance.
I gotta say I feel really disappointed with the balance of p/d vs trapper thief. I feel like trapper thief is really imbalanced with never having to leave stealth or be revealed to do what they do.
I really hope anet goes back to having p/d and d/d be the condi weapon sets and do away with the trapper build. It just seems out of wack.
Is there an email address that anet has set up or some other means that I can send evidence to regarding hackers?

Necros chill stacks for 10+ seconds and can to 1000 damage a second at the same time. If chill is going to do damage then Shadow’s Embrace should remove chill.

So I looked up on the wiki how to do it and I try to add the 4 parts together in the Forge and it will not allow me to add the exotic inscription.

If you look at the Hard To Catch Trait it says that your endurance is refilled when you are stunned etc. but it also says that your endurance regen is increased by 100%. I tried it out a bit and I dont see that my endurance regen is increased at all. I do see the refill of the endurance when stunned etc. but I do not see any kind of endurance regeneration bonus going on.
Anyone else?
I just looked at todays patch notes and didn’t see anything about Engies getting revealed. Is revealed coming in a future patch?
If you are stealthed and use shadow step and then use shadow return your character will auto attack the current target immediately after shadow return. Is that working as intended? Because it breaks my stealth and gives me revealed in times where I did not want to attack.
Before megaservers I used this website to tell me which server had a completed Temple of Balthazar up so I could go there and use the merchant. Now that website doesnt work. How do I fine a Temple of Balthazar that is up so I can go there?

About a year ago I bought a medium armour skin using gems. It was called the Krytan Armour skin. I put the skins on an old set of exotic armour. After ascended crafting came out I was never going to wear that armour set again and I didnt have room for it so I salvaged it using a black lion salvage kit.
With the new patch I was wondering if I could somehow have gotten a copy of those skins if I were to have salvaged them today.
Of course I salvaged my Krytan Armour skin long before the patch so am I just out of luck or what?

I am tired of hearing my pistol and was wondering if someone knew a pistol skin I could buy on the TP that isnt too expensive that changes the sound.
I see some pistol skins are only about 10 to 30 gold. I bet those ones dont change the sound though.
I heard of one called the super pistol skin and its about 180 gold on the TP. That one changes the sound I am pretty sure.
Is there any others?

Part 2 of Shadow Strike still does not ricochet after the recent Lions Arch patch. It would be nice if you considered it for an up and comming patch.
Part 2 of Shadow Strike is a pistol shot that does not ricochet ever when using the ricochet trait.
Ricochet trait says that pistol shots have a 50% chance to bounce to other targets. This is not true with Shadow Stirke 2.
Please address this issue.

With fewer players comes less siege refreshing. If a server is outnumbered 1:4 the greater population server has 4 times the amount of people to refresh siege. This is an unfair advantage.
Example, As a commander I set up 4 ACs in our keep. I then went out and fought for a little over and hour. I had no time to get back and refresh siege and no one was around to do it for me. After about 80 minutes the keep went under attack. I showed up there to defend and all 4 ACs were gone. We could have put up a fight but instead it was no contest.
Please consider adding this outnumbered game mechanic:
Anytime a server obtains the outnumbered buff, all siege resets to 60 minutes and does not decay until the outnumbered buff is removed.
Anet, WvW is always going to have imbalanced populations. Right now with your weak Outnumbered buff people are getting discouraged and moving to other servers furthering the discontent on the server they leave. You can easily fix this. Make people feel like being Outnumbered is fun and beneficial. Right now most people see it and get demoralized. If this keeps up you will see only a few servers with WvW populations. This will hurt your player base and the profits you are making off your game.
Buff the Outnumbered buff.
I’m a thief myself been playing for a long time in WvW. I fought a thief today 1v1 and he interrupted my stomp when he was downed. I was surprised because I have never done this myself when downed. How did he do it?
Somebody told me that you can make this without needing Vial of Condensed Mists Essence is that true?
Can someone link the recipe?

Dancing Dagger doesn’t work correctly with condition duration bonuses. I just posted a seperate post about this.
Also, torment duration doesnt delve correctly either on Shadow Strike which I also posted about.
Please address these issues.

I would say if it lasted for 8.5 seconds it wouldn’t be as nerfed as it lasting for only 5 seconds. Personally I play a sort of crowd control thief for my team and I want my 3 extra seconds of snare if it is a bug.
It should be addressed. Having faulty tooltips or bugs even on less important skills makes me less certain about other tooltips and other skills.
At 70% condition bonus duration dancing dagger delves at 8.5 seconds when I actually use the skill on a monster it only hits the monster for about 5 seconds.
Does Signet of Shadows work during combat?
Does it stack with Fleet Shadow Trait?
Does it stack with Traveler Runes?

With the new changes comming around Dec 10th I almost want to change from 30 in the Shadow Arts (toughness line) to 30 in the Acrobatics (vitality line).
The 25 trait in both lines are nice but the one in Shadow Arts, Hidden Assassin, provides might which essentially provides more direct damage AND condition damage.
The 25 trait in Acrobatics, Fluid Strikes, provides +10% more damage but I just tested it and the bonus only affects direct damage, NOT condition damage.
Would it be OP to have it affect both?
I have a build that uses both condi and direct damage. The fact that Fluid Strikes does not affect my condi damage will probably keep me in the toughness line rather than trying new builds in the vitality line.
What are your thoughts?

So 2 thieves and a warrior spec their characters to root somebody for 20 seconds and the 3 of them cannot kill you and instead you kill them or they run off almost dead. I would like to make 2 points.
1. 20 second root specs are not very good per this movie OR
2. 2 thieves and a warrior can’t kill a 20 second rooted necro? maybe you should be nerfed.
Anet has the answer to their existential dilemma. They built it into the game. It’s the last WvWv …. W.
From a chivalric standpoint, neighbors wouldn’t let their neighbors get shellacked by some large imperial force. There should be a vote option that’s hidden from all others knowledge. You can either vote Truce or War with an opposing faction. Once enough votes are in favor of either Truce or War those players are no longer worth WXP. You can still kill them and their buildings are worth XP but you receive no XP up player death.
The diplomatic relations could be placed into the UI and you could see what factions you are at War with or have a Truce with. They could change throughout the day or week depending on what things play out on the battlefield.
The killings still in the game
but maybe commanders from opposing factions could unite and start making things more difficult for these stacked servers.
More thought should be put into diplomacy. I am surprised it’s so taboo on the chat.
I was wondering if the torment duration is delving correctly on the Pistol #3 tooltip when 6/6 Torment Runes are in use on ones armour. It appears to me as if the duration should delve longer than it does. Am I mistaken?

If I start auto attacking a gate with my short bow then turn and walk away, deselect the gate so that I have no target, if I come back, I start auto attacking the gate again even with no target selected. Is this working as inteneded?
I am running P/D so yeah it happens with my pistol. And I have had stealth break becuase my pistol bullet reached its target after I stealthed so I understand that. But this issue I am talking about is after a good second has gone by. No bullets are in the air.
Sometimes after I Shadow Refuge (to get the heck outta dodge) my charachter auto attacks! I cannot tell why this happens. Has anyone else encountered this?
Sometimes on my thief I see a “shimmering graphic” over my #1 button. As if it is “qued” to go off or something. If I press #1 or any other number, the graphic goes away as if it was “not qued” anymore.
Anybody have any imput?

When was the last time you came across somebody getting rolled by 3 of your server mates and didn’t add in on the fight to get credit for the kill?
When was the last time you were running with the zerg and decided to not try for the other server’s keep because you were smashing them so badly all night already and figured they needed a break?
The answer is probably NEVER. And it hardly ever happens if it ever even does.
The name of the game in WvW is to rick roll the enemy. I almost never engage in nor even see fair fights out in WvW whether they are small man fights or large scale zerg vs. zerg fights. You just don’t get fairness out there because that’s what an open world environment is, UNFAIR! And people always try to take advantage of that.
If you want “fair” the closest thing you can get to it is SPvP. If you love to gank the crap outta some poor guy who thought he could catch up to his zerg by crossing your side of the map. GANK HIM AND LOVE IT! And be ready for it to happen to you too.
And when 2am rolls around and you have 5 people on your server defending your keep against 50 opposing players… have fun with it. Spam on their faces with ACs, hold out until you cannot hold out any longer. Bail out at the last second to not feed them or die valiantly in the circle whatever you feel like doing.
I fight in WvW all the time. It’s never fair! I don’t even care! I just want to roll fools by taking full advantage of any situation where I have the upper hand and leaving the situation whenever I don’t.
Matchups, T1 servers, scores, etc. etc. can all go take a hike. But if you think I am going to let you sneak past me to get to your karma train you are going to be in for a rude awakening.

I would like to see a list of stats each week about each server. Actually the only stat I am really interested in right now is:
Total Number of All Players Hours Played That Week per each server, WvW Maps only.
For example maybe my server EBay had a total of 10,000 total hours played in one week adding up all the hours people were logged into the WvW maps.
I wonder if that information exists and can be found online?
