Just wanted to add my “vote” to the discussion. Making the stronger team stronger yet is a horrible idea. I can’t even imagine why anyone with a background in game design could have imagined it would result in anything but imbalanced play.

I actually like the maps. More opportunities for meaningful open-field fighting is cool. But the heavy buff for the winning side just turns into an avalanche.

I really miss Cantha. It would be a huge misread of the user base to leave it out based upon some bizarre concept like “universality”. Coca-cola changed course on New Coke. MS will now be returning our beloved start button to us. Maybe NC-Soft can adjust their position on Cantha.

I never saw this from TC when I was on BG (I was on BG from Sep-Jan). I wonder if this is due to TC attracting a lot of people who don’t necessarily follow “The TC Way” since their stay in T2 began.

We really haven’t been growing that much. I suspect they’ve been here all along. They just didn’t play much WvW when BG was wiping the floor with us.

How does one arrange a duel in the middle of a fight? For that matter, is there any agreed upon etiquette for this sort of thing? A couple nights ago, I think I may have rudely interrupted a duel, since the person closer to the corpse backed up after he was downed and didn’t finish the kill.

This being said I had the thought of buying the roses from the Anet gem merchant so I may at times sprinkle rose petals over corpses as a sign of respect for the unfortunate victim.

Can’t speak for Jayne, but I suspect many in this crowd would not take it as respect. It may a bit overboard. There’s at least one poster in this thread who thought bows were meant sardonically.

Sorry you had to see that. It’s embarrassing to see someone representing your server making us look bad like that. Just wanted you to know that most of us aren’t fans of that that kind of chest thumping. Hopefully, someone from REST will take care of it.

All I can say is at least Yaks and Mag can drop down a tier and clean up every few weeks to make themselves feel better. Dragonbrand has been stuck in the middle (as the only true tier 3 server) and gets defeated by the T2’s that come down. No fun at all. And there is no change in site.

I think every smart thing we do now is because of the time we spent as the No. 2/3 server. Having a population advantage makes you lazy and stupid.

I can see this thread evolving into two separate interwoven conversations. One for people who play games to relax and have fun, and another one for people who play games because they are mad at their dad.

I think the latter group have a right to speak, as long as they agree the former group does as well.

BTW, great fight you guys are putting on, tonight. I ran into a great three-way battle in the TCBL garrison right after logging in. Tried to join the team fighting Mag and trying to cap the guild lord and got steam-rolled by a DB team at the inner gate. Must’ve died 3 times before we final secured the place. You guys really put up a ferocious fight.

It’s true. We’re all teenagers. But we aspire to the level of stern maturity we see exhibited here by our betters.

One day, we will learn not to try to infuse too much frivolity into our games. Until then, I’m afraid we’re a bit of a hopeless case.

I’m there to defend our border and fight the good fight. I get frustrated at times, then someone takes the initiative to lead hit-and-run attacks, not to claim a tower or keep, but merely to bedevil (oooh…never get to use that word) our enemies. Sometimes we win, sometimes we lose. I’ve learned to find my own fun in my own way. I love playing as part of a team, and hope that I am able to contribute in some small way.
