I really like this idea. It was by far one of my favorite features of DCUO besides how well their voice chat worked, especially proximity voice chat =D. I like the idea of still incorporating transmutation stones so A net will still have a way to get some funds coming in to keep the game going. I don’t think it would make A net look greedy. I have some 30 fine transmute stones and I never bought one. I think I got them out of Black lion chests and finishing the story line a few times. I have also never purchased any keys either. I got those from story line on my 8 characters and map completion as well as a few rare key drops.
Wow I cant believe you all haven’t realized from either GW or GW2 that the % is an indication of the number of files downloaded not the size of the total download.
I like that guesting is being implemented. I understand why they have to limit the number of worlds you can guest to. Just think of the massive amounts of rare materials you can gather as well as Meta events to get precursors and what not. I also understand why it would be to impractical to guest across data centers. What about creating a International datacenter for PvE only. A server where your player data can be temporarily transferred to while doing PvE events and dungeons with your friends across the globe. It’s probably asking to much.
What store has everything on sale during Black Friday? The idea is to offer a very limited insane deal that maybe 3 people will get, then the rest of the customers end up buying a bunch of other stuff while they are there. I don’t get why anyone would be upset about the items they have discounted today.
Keys are supposed to be their big money maker and they have them on sale. Be happy. I wouldn’t expect to see anything that you can sell in the TP go on sale such as minis or dyes because that could really upset the market. The one thing I want to see on sale is the Digital Deluxe Upgrade. I want to see it go from 2000 gems to 1600 gems so its only $20 instead of $25 so its the same price difference between the standard and digital deluxe price.
Actually I had the same problem with All Points Bulletin except they just went out of business instead of falsely advertising or whatever you want to call this situation. Granted the company behind APB knew kitten well their company would die two months after release. I also didn’t get a refund or compensation from the publisher EA while others did or from Steam where I bought the game =/
I bought the game retail as well because I wanted the box. NCsoft should have to give retail outlets a refund for any game that gets returned. I also bought gems so If I try to get a refund for my gems my account gets deleted. Most companies send defective items back to the supplier for a refund and this game should be treated as defective if the purchaser feels it is not the game that was advertised. It’s also ridiculous to offer digital purchasers a refund but not retail purchasers.
I enjoyed that video with Yaks having 8 siege golems, just shows you how impossible it is to fight a server with 1500 supply in their forts when you are lucky if everyone on the map has 10 supply. I just haven’t seen an example of a comeback yet once one server has complete resource control. Maybe they can create some kind of balancing mechanism to give the underdogs a slight chance in regards to having resources available. I have no idea what could work to accomplish this. Maybe have supply camps produce supply at a much faster rate when you don’t own any forts on a map?
I’ve had this debate before on why the dye collection should be account based instead of character based. I myself was always on the side of account based dyes, but I have to say one thing. At least its not like GW1 where you have to buy/find a dye for each piece of armor. The system now lets you use your black dye 1 million times instead of limiting you to one use. I would say it is an improvement.
I have about 150 additional dye colors on my main character and the way I look at it is I can decide what colors are worth buying for my alts, most of them are inexpensive. I think it would be even less of an issue if they added previewing to the trade post. You can see what the colors look like before you buy them.
Also from a collectors point of view. I am trying to collect every color and its a bit frustrating they are limited to one character. But yes I think it was to increase the value of unidentified dye. there are crafting items for legendary items that require you to collect 250 unidentified dyes. If people collect all the dyes to quickly then the unidentified ones loose all value and make it too easy to get a legendary weapon. I think that’s why they are character bound.
They are the company who provided the Guild Wars in game store. They were acquired by Visa last may and of course they let the ball drop. I am worried about potential CC info and passwords being compromised. I don’t think we should blame Anet for this one, but they really need to give us a response if they want us to believe in their Security is #1 philosophy.
I read that there was a security breach at Playspan, the company who runs the Guild Wars 1 in game store. Should I be worried about my account information since our GW1 and GW2 information is the same. I haven’t purchased anything in the GW store in quite some time. Should I be worried about CC info? I hope ArenaNet is forthcoming about this breach in security. Visa who acquired playspan last may I believe really dropped the ball and put a lot of accounts at risk here… Please suggest what actions we should take to protect our accounts before it’s too late.
I think they should make it more clear how to expand the bank tabs. It is more obvious on the inventory how to add a bag slot, but the lock on the bank tab is so small and there is no real indication that more can be added.
I also think they should do away with the confirming each purchase and change to a checkout page. The current method is easy to make mistakes and with the current no refunds regardless the circumstance on gem store purchases it is unacceptable. I made a mistake and yes I was at fault for buying the wrong thing but it was just so easy to make the wrong purchase, a second chance to see what you are buying will really help prevent mistakes on the users part.

is your mail full? if it doesn’t have space to send the mails it wont. try deleting a few mails and see if they show up. only thing I have to suggest for now. that or its a mistake on their part.
purchased 1600 gems last night, 200 was left over from my last purchase, so i had 1800 in total this morning. tried to buy a pet pack, and 300 gems were deducted but i did not recieve mail or a prompt or anything. i tried again (for reasons i dont know, maybe i was impatient and trigger happy with the mouse clicks) but as of right now, i have 900 gems, and no pets. in my recent purchases it only shows that i tried to purchase 2 pet packs (600 gems worth). so in conclusion, i have 900 gems missing with no items to show for it.
Make sure your mail isn’t full. I’ve heard that it will not send the items if your mail is beyond capacity. Try deleting some old ones and the items will show up if that is the problem.
I have a question about getting a refund on items I purchased with gems. Is it possible? I sent in a support ticket and am waiting for a response. [Incident: 120908-003104]?
I’m going to paste what I sent to support. I doubt they will do anything for my stupidity but hey why not give you guys something to laugh about while you wait to even be able to purchase gems.

Yea I made a big mistake and I doubt they will help me at all. An official response on the possibly of a gem store purchase reversal would be nice. Also maybe including a check out page instead of confirming each purchase at point of sale to lessen the chances of buying the wrong thing. also make it a little more obvious how to get extra bank tabs or bag slots. bag slots are a lot easier to stumble upon that the bank tabs.
I am using a GTX 680 SC+ and I’m getting about 30-40 fps with everything maxed at 1920×1200. It doesn’t matter if I’m using native or super-sampling either. IDK that seems low in my opinion what do you think? should I be getting more with this card and my system specs?
