Hello, looking for experienced riders who are still missing some of the achievements. Mostly played with pugs from the beginning , did not do the Sabetha , w2 , w3 achievements back then and it seems no one is doing them any more.
I have 2 legendary armors, solid experience, still play raids sometimes but most of all would love to do those achievements before PoF. If there are people who missed out like me and can not find a group now, maybe we can team up and give it a try. Ty !

AFK means Away from Keyboard. Literally. If you get up to go to bath room, that is away from keyboard. Unless you take yer laptop into bathroom (which is nasty) and are wiping yer kitten when a dev whispers you, but again yer already nasty so you probably would reply, so that shouldn’t be an issue.

Yes, I know what afk means but you are missing the point. Being afk and getting loot it the meantime thanks to gs 4 auto attack, minions, turrets, pets … that is a problem which they are addressing , right ? Standing by a node waiting for it to respawn is not afk farming. You do not get any loot that way, there is no profit in it. Why is a gm whispering me asking if I am there ? Is it not allowed to leave your character afk for 10 min and go about your business away and then come back to collect when the node is back ? That was my question.

The trick with AFKing is that the more people do it, the more they get used to doing it and the more likely they’ll be to resort to actual botting. Why not just join the toxic spore farmers and make ~1g/hour per character?

Well, there is a Gm Silpale whispering ppl – Hello are you there ? I answered because I was there, collecting spores for my wvw food, and I asked him/her is it not allowed to stay at the node and wait for it to respawn , got the reply

Whatever that last part meant. So, we had necros farming anything and everything for months, being completely afk from computer for hours, because the game designers made it possible by making the gs skill 4 auto attack. We had the engineers farm, which is in my book not afk because you have to refresh the turrets every 5 min. That is no way afk but the community was outraged , those people are making money ! One Samarog cm is being sold for 3900 ectos / read three thousand and nine hundred / but that is not a problem, engis bored to death by clicking turrets all day long is a big deal. Ok, that was fixed.
And now there is a gm going around banning ppl who are just standing at the toxic spore node, waiting for it to spawn ?? If I log out, the map changes. If I do not log out I have to stare to the screen for 10 minutes in case a gm whispers me before a ban ? There were a few ppl standing there as well, I guess waiting just like me. And they all disappeared.
Read the post from Chris and it does not mention anything about standing afk at a node waiting to harvest. Using macros, yes, using skills and minions that kills mobs around you while you are not at the computer, yes , I get that. But waiting for a node to respawn and not being there in the meantime is not a bannable offence. Was not.
So why is the GM doing it ? Especially one that is not able to answer questions.
Is she/he a bot ? Should I report it ?

Would be oh so nice if a dev could explain will I get banned if I park my character in Kessex Hills and farm a node now and then while waiting 2h in a que for wvw . Pretty please, would love to know.

I see AFK farmers a lot when in Kessex Hills after spores. I seldom report them because I’m genuinely worried doing so may damage my reputation – yet when I stop and question them, not a one of them ever replies suggesting they are AFK and effectively on ‘’auto pilot’’ which would imply a botting tool is being used.

Sometimes I farm spores in Kessex Hills.
Used to search the map on thief because he is fast, to find a spot where they spawn and then I would gather the spore and leave the character and go about my business in the house or the garden / come back to the computer every now and then and press F. I need a lot of condi food because I play necro in wvw and condi ranger in raids and prefer to make it my self, not buy from tp.
Sometimes I forget and I get disconnected and loose the map. Sometimes I get killed by mobs someone aggroes. It is sort of an afk farming but I only get the spore if and when I am there to press the button.
Sometimes I watch a movie on the other monitor and whenever the gather sign shows up I press F. If you whisper me I will reply.
Lately I am going with the necro and leave the minions up. Why ? Because I have seen many times that other players deliberately aggro mobs, brings them to you and then stand back and hope you die. For fun. Not a big deal to wp and run back but still I prefer to stay alive. If the map would not change after logging out and back in I would do that. Not making any money by standing there, only when I am at the comp, pressing the button. And still I am afraid I might get banned one day. Because Anet is vague about it all, deliberately. Some people here are saying that is their right, it is to prevent hackers,etc.etc. It is not, it is just unfair to all the players that are actually playing the game. Is it ok to leave the character at a spot for 10-15 minutes and then come back and collect a plant that has grown since you left ? I guess it is. It should be. But I do not know for sure, because they are misterious about it all.
Used to gather platinum and hard wood at Mount Maelstrom. I never go there now because I am just fed up with the million minions there, the real afk farmers. People who leave their characters there for days. Yes, days. After a while I recognized the names, a lot where still there after a week. You can make decent money that way, while you are at work, at school, away from the computer for hours. Can you make more by playing the game ? Yes ofc, much more but you have to sit there and press the buttons. Multiloot, silwervaste, frac 40 …over and over again, sometimes a brainless boring activity just because you want to buy more and more stuff. Reporting those people changed nothing , because I added them as friends and reported them every day for a long time and they are still in the game today. Not only they are afk making money but I feel like a traitor and an idiot at the same time, not a nice person because I am reporting a fellow player and an idiot because Anet actually did nothing about it. If they did, we know nothing about it. Why ?
Its just simply not okay that someone can make money in the game while they are not there at all.

Ultimately this is just a game , it is meant to be played and enjoyed so who cares how much money someone makes in the game when they are not actually playing the game ? I know we players should not care, we should just play our own game and enjoy it.
But it is not fair, and we deserve to know what steps are taken by the ones that control the game. It is not true that devs have no time to check or that they are banning in waves . It only takes half an hour to stay there, whisper all the afk players – if you can single them out from the million minions- and if there is no reply in half an hour, ban for 24h.
Do that every day for a week.That is half an hour a day. And then the forums would be full of people talking about bans and most of the players would be clear about Anets position and would think twice about afk farming.
But if it is true that there is no employee there who can do this for half an hour a day for a week then we are in much more serious trouble.

Yes, this happened to me too.After reading about the firestone bug I bought 3 the first time.Finished the story. Wanted to do some achievements later so I made a new elixir / did not get the buff. Went to do some events, did the nearby heart just in case thet is the problem and made a new elixir, using up my last stone.Did get the buff, 2h before reset.
Have not checked jet if I can buy another stone but all this is very annoying and poor work , anet messing up key elements of the game- again.

1) The meta-event REQUIRES lots of ppl.
2) Any given server has a pop limit.

Therefore, if you have too many ppl who always only play the game from a pure number perspective and the way to get these numbers lies outside the meta-event, you definitely threaten your event and all who want to make it succeed.[/quote]

is there a new post from you anywhere ? there are no ppl on the map now whatsoever, all are afk and waiting to get in the raid… just gotta love how hilarious your claims are now , the 5/ 8 ppl ruining the meta event but as long as the spider farm was nerfed …

I am currently unable to complete the prolugue mission. At the last rally point before the portal to verdant brink (after the escort and talking to all the LS npcs), I approach the green star. At that point the UI hides as if starting with a cut scene but instead the game becomes unresponsive. The standard anet crash UI does not appear

it does not help.takes time even to log in on this forum. something is very very bad with their servers and as usual, we are kept in the dark. can not log in the game, managed once, went into fractals, got an infinite log in screen and then the error.since then, i can not log in. this is after a small patch….imagine the expansion bugs , ouch, a nightmare

yes, it is still bugged. I have been checking the last few days to see if the event or the vendors are up but no luck. wait for the reset ? seriously ? they can not fix this for years now but they added a collectible achievment item to this vendor. how, just how ill informed these devs are ?!

Recently, I am only able to play a few minutes (including switching between maps, engaging in combat, ect.) before the game disconnects and redirects me back to character select with error message. This only just started happening after recent patch.

I tried resetting modem/router with no success. Also, I have tried adjusting port and using Google DNS to no avail.

My ISP is Comcast and I play on Blackgate server.

same here, Gunnars Hold server. the last few days I had serious lags and for two days now I am getting the random dc / error code 7:11.3.191.101

the game is unplayable atm, I get this this dc everywhere, in a dungeon, afk in divinity…always the same error code, every 5 min or sometimes 1h , whatever. and lag lag lag . it is strange because the lag happened right after the patch but after a few days it was ok, for a while. now the lag is back, skills just blinking in wvw and there is this dc. all the time. the game did not update in the last few days but things have changed, for the worst.

so, I had no time to play much since the patch but I have seen most of this bugs or read about them in map chat.

specific ones I had not seen here mentioned :

1.My PVP reward track is missing some dungeons.I had the dungeon master title 2 years ago.
Now, Sorrows Embrace is locked, I can see it in the locked ones, awailable in some 7 weeks.
COE is missing completely.Gone, vanished, nowhere to be found.

2.downscaling is awful.a lev 80 full zerk with ascended armour and asc weapon and ascended trinkets is doing the same low damage in a 40 scale dungeon as the low level in green armour.which makes speed run a pain and the few hundred gold invested in asc stuff totaly useless.

not just less power its less hp,less healing, less precision …less everything.not more challenging at all, just takes more time.its annoying.
what is just so horrible that they DID NOT MENTION anything about this 15/20% efficiency loss with the new patch.
that is huge.and it is just too much, with all these other bugs. its either a bug or intentional.
not sure which is worst !

on top of everything, I dc every 15min.

Last night I noticed that every time I selected a reward track in the PvP Lobby, it would revert immediately after I closed the window (CoE last night, Arah just now). I’ve tried restarting, logging in/out, restarting my computer and every possible reward track; no matter what, it still reverts back the moment I close the window.
I tried to report a bug in-game, but all the categories are shown in [[xxxxxxx]] in lieu of actual text. It appears that even the bug reporting is bugged!
Anyone else having these issues?

I have another issue / as Dungeon Master had all the reward tracks open. Now Sorrows Embrace is Locked, available in 7 weeks only and COE is completely missing, its not in the available ones and its not locked. It is just gone, vanished. anet……pls

I hate the ppl who makes it un/playable for many of us, because they / do not care, do not know how to fix anything and even when it is working they manage to break it again and again …

I had this bug a few times and it does reset when I exit/re-enter the mini game.
BUT since day one I have another stupid bug – the Note 6 is not playable on the keyboard, it is blackened out, no number 6. All the other notes are playing ok, number 6 no. I can click it with the mouse pointer but since I am using the numbers for the rest, it is just impossible to arrange and get it on time to play no 6. Reported the bug but nothing. Terrible annoying.

Yes, exactly the same for me – got dc/d all the time, not being able to log on after, then for a few days everything was just fine, I thought Anet fixed the problem. Me, happy ! This morning I was playing for an hour or two, everything fine.
I just tried to log on / 18.20h / I can not, keeps getting the same error.This is just so frustrating .Sunday evening we do guild missions, we do guild raids, dungeon runs. Everyone is playing mostly in the evening. I can not.
Why would someone make a game, sell it and then just not care about the people who bought it ? I mean, is that normal nowdays ?

my mistake is a lot worst. I was in wvw with my war, checked the bank and calculated I have enough for an ascended heavy armor, full set. I bought the heavy armor recipe, read them all / the war is not an armorsmith.There was no warning that this character can not use this item, craft it, or whatever.When I am buying a karma item worth 140 karma, I get a warning if it is not usable on that char.Before I used up 6 recipe worth of 30 laurels and 15 gold, I get no warning. They are just lost now. f course, Ican go to the gem store and buy a licence to get another crafting proffesdion and spend a few houndred goldst to get to lev 500.

Is that why there was no warning Anet ?

The 3 days, that’s the time for you to find a group decent enough. All you speak about is one instance of CoE.

If I want something, I run it again and again until I find the optimal party to show off. I get a good party for any path at least once every 3 days and I run each dungeon only once a day. What if you ran the dungeons more than one time in a single day ? Well, you maximize your chances to get a group decent enough. And if you made some mistakes, just run it again.

So either you weren’t really motivated or you’re just bad an complain about it.

So go on, create your own lfg, gearcheck, ask for experience (not that stupid AP requirement) and kick any who joins but doesn’t fill your requirements. You’re not being a jerk by doing that: you’re being a player concerned about the quality of your run. People you will reject will consider you a jerk, but hey, you did basic gear requirement, you didn’t scam them, you were upfront with them.

As summary, take your own destiny in your hands. You want something, you gotta work for it.

I was doing coe with a friend a few times up to the lasers and then practiced so I can do it perfectly.
Before they capped the rewards, did some dungs multiple times a day but I find that boring and not enough time when you run with pugs – the rotation takes a few hours a day.
Got me thinking – yes, my fault, should make a party with all the gear check but usualy the one creating the party opens the dung. I am on a wireless and get a hard reset dc now and then – usually at the worst moments, like at the last boss in lev 38 fractals …
Or I am just lazy, got me there – prefere to team up with ppl who are like me, not screaming at each other, not getting a nervous breakdown when someone is 2 sec late with a skill and enjoying the game. Playing and not competing with each other – only with my self.

As the title says, would like to ask some of you regular dungeon runners to add me to your friend list and whisper me when you have an opening in the party.
Have been playing since day one, got 16k achievment and a very mixed experience in GW2 with dung/fractal party.

My guild is more pvp/wvw orriented but since we play together since gw1, I stay
with them.

Joined txs for numerous tequila/wurm /karka kills,that is great but no luck with fractal/dungeon guilds.
Have my dungeon master title, running ac, coe, ta, cof, se every day, fractals lev 39, ar 55.
My mains are mesmer and war, both have all the maps opened and 3 sets of exotic armor and numerous weapons with different sigils .

Joined a speed run guild , applied for 7 different runs, none of them happened. Got a message that we need to do a test and rercord it to prove we are good enough, gave us 3 days. In the message. Downloaded fraps, practiced with 2 mains and my boss running ranger, 8h later got a new message stating I must be uninterested or I have no skills. Definitely not the people I want to play with.

So my experience is mixed – many good players are at the same time very arrogant and just not a nice company. I know what to do and when someone is lost, I try to explain and if they do good, we both benefit. I see great players calling them noobs, targeting them, doing whatever they can just to humiliate. Ok for some elitist I guess but I would rather loose 2 min then do that .
Others are just risky to play with – yesterday joined a party for Coe full run, it said – FULL ZERKER EXPERIENCED PARTY in lfg. 2 ele, 2 war, 1 guard. Great, yes ? We all died at the entrance. lol. Ok, then the champion. Again, we all die. 2 ele, no conjured weps, no might stacking. Boss takes ages. I ask the other war is he realy zerk, since I am running full asc zerk trink, weps, armor/build. He does not answer.We do the first path, takes an hour ,no one can do the lasers.
Second path, I ask war to ping gear.He does – he has full PVT gear. In a dungeon speed run. In a full zerk lfg.
I leave the party, he whispers me – I am here to rez u noobs. jeez

great players too nervous, bad players too relaxed. none of these are what I like

So, how to find a decent party and make sure they all more or less know what to do and they are at the same time nice people ? When you don’t want to leave the guild and the people you play with for ages.
Relaxed guys playing for fun but very seriously.

Had an idea to post here and offer a mesmer for lev 36-40+ for fractals and a war/mes for a casual speed dungeon runs, to partyes that more or less know each other and missing the fifth for the run. Ty

Well , it is a bit better after the patch but I still dc with the same error code, just not every 5 min.Howvever, i was doing Teq just now and it is going to be a kill for sure but dc-d .Could not get back on the server, ended up in an empty of. This is very annoying.

I am in Eastern Europe and it is the same. The last few days i had lags and 3-4 dc/s a day. Today, even before the patch I dc every 10 minutes. No matter where I am or what I do – dungeon, fractal , wvw, la … Unplayable. It was ok only a week ago, and I have been playing for more then a year. Hard reset crashes, yes , dc now and then, yes , but ok, once or twice a day. Now I can not play the game. Log on, whatever I do, wherever I go – dc, error 7.11.3.191.101
Read this thread from the start, took 2h, did everything suggested there – just did not download the full client again. Still dc all the time. Waiting for the patch, maybe it will change back to normal. Fingers crossed.

Just adding a few lines to refresh the subject – last post was 11 months ago and nothing has changed – people getting random hard reset crashes on different systems,
different graphic crds and windows. Anet is silent, not one word from anyone.

I am having this problem since I bough the game over a year ago. Bought a brand new computer, changed nvidia for ati, changed my internet provider and windows 64 from 32 . I was devastated to see nothing has changed – computer freezes and need a hard reset few times a day. No problems with othert mmo games, only GW2. Other games I play on maximum, gw2 is set to the lowes, looks like under water. Crash in wvw, crash in a dungeon, crash on an empty map just standing in the middle of a road, doing nothing.

ati radeon HD 7800

no log after the crash. all memory, system checks passed with flying colors.

A year and no word from Anet. Shame on you.

Makes me both sad and angry to see how people write about this issue since day one and nothing has changed. Different computers, different networks, people dc with a hard reset that ruins their game and Anet is not even taking the time to write a simple – sorry guys, we hwar you, we are working on it. Because they are not. Why would they ? Working on new content, events that will attract new players, the ones that will pay good money .We are the ones that already did, so Anet does not care about us. Must be such a serious fault that they can not fix it just by revriting some code. So, lets pretend its not there.We do not exist.

serious TP bug , can not pick up the items I have bought a day ago and even more serious, I have sold a very rare longbow for 150 gold 18h ago, it is in the sold items listing but NO MONEY deposited – sold a lot of cheap items as well and for the last 2 days can not pick up any stuff and no money shows up on the account.

Yeah, ANet’s trying to get rid of Rangers altogether now. I can’t do enough DPS to get the reward chest no matter how hard I try. I’m a freaking glass cannon ranger with a longbow and I still don’t do enough damage. Kittening Anet is trying to get rid of the Ranger class now.

Not sure what u are doing wrong but I am a full magic find gear ranger and I used to farm Frostgorge champions and always got the loot – unless I was late running to the champ which sometimes happens due to my slow comp. I say used to because I had – 40 deluxe gear boxes, 132 fallen adventurer backpacs, 38 oversized r. 10 shell pouches and 253 Gilded Dtronboxes ! All the exotic, orange tipe. After opening them(took me some time )
I got 6 RARE items. NO EXOTIC. Not 1 exotic from 400 champion loot. ???
How is it possible ? Should not be possible. All this time and effort. First the Mystic Forge, putting hundreds of rares in to get 3 exotics, now with the Champion loot.

Anyone knows how is this exactly done in the game, when you get a chest, is the code of the loot written beforehand or is it rteally random ? If I get a chest and open it now will it be the same loot if I opened it an hour later.If I could give a chest to another player, would he/she have the same loot ? If not then it could basically mean the loot can be manipulated if wanted by whoever is in charge.
Seems to me some people get 3 precursors some people get none.
Seems Anet would like to teach us it does not matter how skilled you are, how dedicated you are, basicaly u just need dumb look to go ahead in the game. This is so not right.

The last few day the game crashes randomly, standing in LA, fractals and most annoying when I am about to finish the Claw event after half an hour – I get the Black screen.
This black screen/hard reset problem was so huge there were miles of comments on this Tech Support forum.They dissapeared, can not find any, locked, delated,cleared, only a few not so helpfull advice from tech support regarding the issue.
It was happening to me even after I – did the million little things anyone ever suggested about this issue and I mean everything ,ended up buying a new computer,replacing nvidia with ati and changing the provider.
It was all the same, black screen, noithing helps just hard reset. Totaly ruins the game.Then for the last 2-3 months it was ok – they seem to have fixed it, happy as one can be even without the explanation what was wrong and why.
Now it is the same, after this latest patch, I get the black screen, only hard reset helps, few times a day. Not hardware, not software, not internet provider – it is just GW2.
It would be great if someone really looked into it.
Love all the new stuff in the game, like the effort but maybe you should start with the basics and first help people who can not play the game ?

This bug happens to me ever since I play the game, some periods more, some less.
I reported it months ago, there were million comments about this, zillion solutions, had over 15 tickets from Anet about the things I have to do to fix this. Did them all.
Nothing helped. I changed my internet provider (!) and bought a completeli new computer – changed the Nvidia game card to Ati, , 64 bit operating sistem, no firewall installed, i5 – 3570, 8 Gb … nothing has changed. All my settings are on LOW.Game looks awful and I freeze in Fractals or just standing in LA. The screen is in horizontal thin stripes now, instead of the black screen on Nvidia…every time I need to do a hard reset.
This problem persist ever since I play the game, on different computers and different internet providers.It is not up to anyones computer, settings, internet.It is the game.
The biggest issue is – does not happen to everyone so no one is fixing it. We bought the game, we can not play it but there are others who can and that seems to be perfectly all right with Anet.
