Thanks for the replies. In particular those people who have offered to help, which is very kind. In case people don’t realise, at the end of World 1 Zone 1 Tribulation mode you get a loads of high value baubles round the outside of the big chest and the glorious chest is inside the big chest. It is obvious now that you have to loot the glorious chest first though there is nothing obvious about it when you are there for the first time. I can live without not getting the baubles but it is not getting the King Toad Z-1 item that really has prompted me to post. It is rather an essential reward. I don’t understand why this could not be rewarded in a bonus chest rather than having to loot. No doubt it’s just me, but this seems another example of content made more frustrating by its temporary nature given all the achievements to try and get in the time available on top of other “routine” aspects of the game that you might like to do such as dailies, guild missions, running dungeons and fractals with guildies, etc. I am not sure I can face doing this again and for me, if I start to say there is content I am not just going to bother with, then I am going to wonder whether it is worth bothering with the game full stop.

So tonight, with the help of a very patient and kind guildie, I got through World 1 Zone 1 Tribulation Mode. Not being the most proficient of jumpers, this was quite an achievement for me to say the least. About 4 hours of play. At the end, with the boss killed I started to collect the mass of baubles that drop and was then zoned out to Zone 2 in about 5 seconds much quicker than when you play normal mode…and without having had the chance to loot the glorious chest. And therefore did not get the first component of the skin. Is this as intended?

I rarely post but want to add my comments in support of several who have posted here. I like this dungeon. I like that it is more challenging. It is hard and in my opinion that is good. But as someone who also likes to try and get all the achievements – and especially so now that achievements will give you rewards – I am not happy about the time-limited nature of this content. I have completed the dungeon twice but would like to try and get all of achievements. Work this week has meant that I have not had as much time to play. Each group I have done this dungeon with has been different. To get all of the achievements requires practice and therefore requires time. This content should either be around longer or permanent.

Whilst getting new content every two weeks sounds great, if it is content like this with this degree of difficulty but only available for a short time, then for me – as a completionist – playing will become more stressful and less enjoyable.

What set up are Guardians using who do this path? I have full exotic Knights armour with Superior Runes of the Soldier. Also exotic Knights jewellry. I switched to using burn skills and Hounds. I know you need to use food, etc. However it has been suggested that unless I use Berserker gear then the dps won’t be enough. Any guardian got advice for this?

I have connection problems too. For a few hours now (and getting worse) the game client loses connection and I get booted to the character select screen. When I reselect my character and log back in I get not much more that 10 minutes gaming before I get booted again. Everything else seems fine in terms of internet connection.

I have been playing GW2 since Beta and up until Christmas or just after had almost no problems playing the game. I keep my computer in top condition (defragging, removing junk, disabling unnecessary start-ups, etc). For the last 2 to 3 weeks I have been having problems: when playing in the open world I have no issues but once I get into a Dynamic Event or play in a dungeon or fractal I seem to get what I think is lag. What happens is: the game slows down for a few seconds, then suddenly speeds up and goes to normal then this repeats: slowing down, speeding up for a few seconds at a time. This happens when the games gets “busy” – lots of mobs, lots of spell effects, lots of players. Dropping the graphics quality down doesn’t seem to make a difference. Is this lag or something else and what can I do about it? Thanks in advance for any advice you can give.

Is there an EU/UK guild that caters for more mature/older players that have commitments like work, family, etc., but still play quite regularly, want to do all aspects of GW2 including dungeons, PvP, WvWvW, achievements, etc., whilst being friendly and not overly-serious?

I am close to getting 100% World Completion but am struggling with some of the WvWvW points of interest, vistas, skill points because these always seem to be in control of other factions. My guild is a small one (but lovely) and I guess I could try and find another to work with and persuade them to help but that is also not a guaranteed approach. Not sure what to do – but can anyone offer any hope? – or do I just have to wait…and wait… and wait….until I am lucky that my missing points come under our control?

This also happened to me. I wanted to preview the exotic heavy armour that you can get with karma from the vendor at the Temple of Grenth. I right-clicked the item and then left-clicked on the Preview button and the item got sold to me. Messages to support said they could not do a refund despite me making clear that I had NOT purchased the item. Interesting to read that this is a known bug.
