today only 1v1s I had were versus some ash warrior, and I don’t think any of them actually counted as 1v1s because other people kept jumping me or him randomly (he did knock me down once but only because I decided to assume he wasn’t kitten and I walk away to let him rally but instead he throw rocks at me that crit me, I should have just perma blind and stomped him ><). I also wipe family guild RH with 2 others several times. We get bored and then after we slay all but one of them we keep the last one in down state so that the others show up again and watch us kill their friend.

few days ago i also 1v1 some kitten GoM ASH commander who had to use his norn elite to escape, and then call in a thief to jump me (after which me and my friends jumped all of them). he then call me PD thief (I DP), say I use stealth to not die(he use norn elite to stealth and run), tell me I couldn’t kill him (his elite was down so I actually would have won when i reengage if he didnt call in his thief friend), and then blame me for him losing bay to NSP (nah he lost bay cause he bad), and then say SPCA is guild full of thieves (we only have 2). So judging by my interactions with previous ASH people most if not all of you are just barking up a tree that will fall on you

so idk what you are talking about, so far only gom 1v1 ive lost straight up was versus a basic PD thief that jump me while I was drinking water while on autorun, but I got him to like 5% ish before he shadow refuged and he was PD thief so its w/e i probably shouldn’t have stood in his caltrops thinking i had downed him. The only guardian ive fought 1v1 was that RISE one (mor eliek 1v2 because he had his puppy rogue friend with him all the time, I say rogue to kitten try hards off “ughh its thief wahhhh wahh he said rogue”)

so tonight at hills i had boring fights

we cap hills from that stupid ASH commander goombastomping, the best part was when pony knocked him off the cliff. Goomastomp that.

my fav were the morons making 3 ballistas to try and kill our group of 3 + some uplevels with their zerg group +3 guards, and then pushing us back with their slow ballista creep so much that when they finally got to the gate they didn’t have enough supply for a ram, but they also didn’t have enough people to run back and get supply otherwise we would just wipe the group that remained at the gate.

its like come on, we don’t even do this keep stuff ever and we still know how to do it better than you guys. Its unfortunate we had to go though since i have real life to deal with, and by that i mean making a billion dollars tomorrow

and pls don’t deny we have it all on tape for pony’s montage, although like i said we might just cut it all because none of you did anything impressive and it might be boring to watch

Wow, you’re so full of yourself. Your story isn’t even close to being accurate to what really happened. I can’t attest to what happened before you took Hills but at the time I was helping out or EB keep from getting take, which our keep looked like a swiss cheeze keep which we somehow held. Afterwhich I came back to the BLs about the time you took Hills and EB was under control.

We started to work our way around from Redvale to Champion’s camp and got to Greenwater camp. I had maybe a group of 5 at the time with me as opposed to your 8+ group, and you guys repeatedly ganked us from trying to take the camp back when it was becoming clear you guys were just there for the ganks on trying to retake the keep. When we had enough ppl gathered to fight you on somewhat even odds at the sentry to Greenwater (8-9 PUGgies vs 5 or 6 SPCA), you claimed Hills with guild buffs which was a large part of us losing when we did have more ppl than u at the time.

Afterwhich we were attempting to get stargrove camp back, but again, we got ganked by your zerg (Only had 3 ppl with me that time) against ur now 10-15 man zerg. So yeah, that’s what started the whole fight N of Hills. We had gathered enough ppl to match your numbers but you guys wanted to hide behind your keep guild buffs, thus why we built the ballistas to goad u out. You guys didn’t want to come out of ur precious guild buff zone so we charged you guys after a couple of attempts before the ballista lures and we pushed u back to the keep every time. Yeah, when we pushed you in and were short of supply, we weren’t really seeking to take the keep at that time, but to kill you guys off for the sorry gankers you were. And yes, we enjoyed every moment of it since we already knew u guys weren’t interested wholly in keeping the hills keep anyways, that was already made clear. If you’re gonna be annoying with ganking, do it with taste please. Don’t camp for your kills and think ur such hot stuff, specially when you mostly burst behind your friends and run if you fail to do so.

So currently I’m of the opinion that there are really only a few members of two guilds that I find significant, that is Basic and GT guild. There may be an ULT elementalist with a white and yellow mask that might be interesting to fight but thats probably mostly because ele is really strong. Unfortunately this wasn’t the case for BP and AR as there were many more people from a variety of classes that were great so I still hope NSP will fight one of those servers eventually again ><.

Although thief fights are pretty meaningless, thus far I haven’t fought any good thief. i think when the thief Mug nerf* hits a lot of the people that can only play cheese cookie cutter will have no idea what to do at all. That is why i am opening a workshop for any thief that wants coach. The only prereq is that you come to NSP and i’ll help you come out of you shadow refuge and teach you how to use other utilities than typical SoS/SR that people run with. Also emphasis on teaching will be in small group, solo roaming is really easy as a thief and not significant at all

*imo i think it should be a CnD nerf, since every build that uses dagger offhand has been nerfed in some way and clearly its CnD being the real problem. Something like you are rooted while using CnD would make it so much harder to use since positioning would be vital

I like HoD, they alright surprisingly now that i’ve fought more people from that server

I was the GT (though I may have been repping HoH at the time) engineer by Dreaming Bay/Greenvale Refuge doing 1v1s with a group of you (a thief, warrior, engineer and elementalist, though I didn’t fight the warrior). They were lots of fun, and a good learning experience.

You are really up yourself aren’t you?

I first ran into you guys when there was about 6-8 of you taking camps, we were chasing you but since most of you were thieves you would stealth and run away most of the time. After a while of searching for your group you ganked me at least 5 times (6v1) we decided to group up and hunt you down, we finally caught you at the northern camp of our borderlands, a 5v6 fight to us just after you captured the camp meaning you had NPC’s and a buffed guild claimer and we still won.

When we caught your group again at another camp shortly after, we won the fight with maybe 1 or 2 more people, but out of all you were the one that run away and after 10 minutes of chasing you even though 90% of the time you were stealthed you tried to blast me about 3 times and didn’t kill me any of those times and then a thief friend of mine found you and took you down in less than a second.

The 1v1 we had was certainly not anything like you explained it to be. At the start I got you down to about 2k health until you stealthed and healed long enough to get to full health and then blasted me again and got me down. It was a good fight and not that I am trying to say I would have won but my elite was on cooldown so I would like to have a rematch.

Then later on in the 3v7 to us at your spawn I pointed to your guardian friend and then bowed to suggest I wanted to 1v1 him but then you and your friends just targeted me and blasted me and then ran back to your spawn. And the thing is, there are pictures of us dead, yet there are none of when we killed you or you always stealthing and running back to your spawn so you don’t die.

Lastly, you say there are no good players in GoM? Yet my friend rapidspeed (a theif) blasted you in a second and you say they are so easy to kill. and My d/d ele friend in the third picture, killed you and your friends several times before you killed him and to my knowledge he only died once. And for the viewers if you look at the third picture, you will see that there are no near GoM players and yet in the text he said help, and you still call my friend bad. Man this is a game not a competition to see who can be the most up themself, just accept there are good players in every server and you are not the best.

did I complain how my stunbreak was on cooldown after that dog thief of yours jumped me when I was trouncing you in the 1v1 before that by that keep? Grats I didn’t use my elite or my first utility slot skill either, see you tried hard but I didn’t really care. The fact that you asked for the 1v1 while your elite was down just shows how bad of a player you are (Also note, the elite you’re talking about is Take Root and not the one that recharges your virtues. seriously?)

how many 1v1s do you want? I gave you a real one after you begged for it, I gave you like 5 attempted 1v1s (in the middle of kiting the zerg you were with mind you) when that little puppy of yours kept jumping me in the middle of our fights (yet only one time did both of you get me, interestingly enough the time when I had no stunbreak). Grats he unfairly killed me another time when I was kiting your raid and had no shadow step, doesn’t mean anything how many times did he jump me (both unfair and fair) and he completely flopped? Like I said thief is a really easy class to play and even easier when you jump others and they have no stunbreaks because they’re focusing on something else ;( ;(

you got me to 2k HP and then I healed. Of course you definitely knew my HP because in this game you can tell what current HP is, and I definitely got you sub 40% when you healed up to 100%. None of that matters you still lost and im just a man im not made out of 1v1’s, pay me money if you want extra life 10g per duel

Also of course i was running back to my spawn so i didn’t die, I kept engaging on your idiot thief friends and downing them in the middle of your groups, and then since it was me in the middle of all of you I kinda had to get out of there asap. However, as soon as we saw an opening we took advantage of it and we wiped all of you. The fact you lose a 7v3 override anything you have to say.

ye ele was a newbie but he did well I thought. I think his main problem was he was way too squishy since if I ever caught him at 80-90% hp he would just lose a huge chunk of health if I had my steal up.

Also he needs to watch his churning earths, there were a few times when I dazed to stop him and he ended up wasting his blinks. If he can use the shield that gives stability that is a decent way to prevent that from happening. Pony really messed him up several times with ring of warding but that’s just ring of warding being op

He was definitely not the weakest link in that group, him and the ranger were probably the most capable fighters out of all of them. There was a reason why I didn’t include him or the ranger in my kittenessment (ranger was the reason why I ended up downed in last fight… that fkin immobilize elite too good)

Your post really makes me want to kill you. I think it’s the fact that you seem so full of yourself about winning, but you use buffs. If you were really so sure of yourself, you wouldn’t feel the need to give yourself further advantages. If you were really looking for good fights you wouldn’t be making every fight easier on yourself on top of playing an admittedly easy profession. I won’t be online for roughly 11 or 12 hours, but I’m going to contact you for a fight tonight, tomorrow or whenever I catch you online. Decline the challenge and you are a kitten. I do enjoy walking dogs though, ones that i find from the dog pound or those mangy curr dogs that stalk backalleys and think they’re tough because they read guides. For it to be worth my while however how about we put money on this and we make it funny as hell, if you can’t kill me in 5 minutes you pay me 100g. I will spec so I have absolutely no damage and I won’t use any stealth (unless you are a thief then I can use the steal profession skills). I’ll also try to stay in combat with you unless you decide to run away out of frustration of losing your monies

send the money to some trusted NSP commander as a middle man, if you win you get money back and grats you get the prize of declaring yourself as ultimate server white knight, if I live for 5 minutes like the mailman who is chased by a yappy lil pup while mailman is trying to deliver food rations to starving people then I win and I keep money

After my group of 5 became a group of 3 since the zerg of 10+ wiped us (I blamed them for it since I took out 3 thieves right away but no one stomped the thieves), i ran into this tryhard

he kept 1v2’ing / zerging me asked for a 1v1 because I was zerging him (???). Usually I don’t give begging dogs any scraps but since I myself havent had an actual fight this whole week I decided to do w/e. After completely trouncing him with my slick teleports, I let him res up because I knew the others in my group coming in in a few seconds so I figured they wanted badges. We zerged him shortly after.

Later on in a 3v6 or 7 he /bowed to my guardian friend and my guardian friend asked why he is bowing. Then we made fun of him as if any of us thinks he is a gr8 player. You have a commander tag for a reason buddy, stick to your zergs

After much poking where people on both sides died (we wanted to leave our spawn because we wanted to go roleplay since roleplaying has more depth in this game than PvP does, but they wouldn’t let us so w/e), the 2 thieves that were with this group decided to be completely typical and waste their shadow refuges. At this point I’d realized how bad they were after they kept trying to gib me but would have me turn it around on them after I chase them into their group and down them (I usually didn’t stomp tho because thieves are kinda vulnerable while stomping). After their shadow refuges were done I just used mine and we wiped their group since we had an extremely easy time killing their thieves. note: its really easy to play a thief, its really easy to solo roam as a thief, its not so easy to be smart if you’re a complete idiot. Thieves are definitely the lowest skill floor class in this game because it takes no intelligence to play. That doesn’t mean the class does not have a high skill cap, it just means that all the kiddies play this class since its so easy to do well. That also means though its easy as hell to outplay other thieves, so i takes the advantage.

Overall though I feel as if GoM only knows how to emote and not pvp. I really hope to get out of this tier since no I don’t find a challenge in fighting thieves that use signet of malice or all of their initiative on hasted disabling shot (this one really makes me rofl). Hi, haste is a great skill for stomping and ressing, not so much for spamming heartseeker since 1.5 dodges = all your initiative is gone for no damage. I met a very good DD Ele too on AR the day before we got transferred to this tier >_>. I think part of this is that GoM and HoD doesn’t seem to have a high population, so good players are like so few and I haven’t ran into any in my 3 hours of lagless play.

your ranger videos are good, don’t really care for SoS D/D thieves or P/D thief videos though. Personally I think they have no idea what they’re doing /shrug

That we do. As much smack we talk about the macro level stuff, you would be hard pressed to find a majority of either server that didn’t enjoy the fights with you guys. Almost exclusively the gripes about NSP were about you guys getting lippy and claiming that you were better and we were playing for second or double teaming you.

AR has a sore spot when it comes to being talked down to. The same thing happened when BP had their T5 population and kept getting big headed about denying it. GoM can tell you about that. Thems was dark days for the forums. lol

On the up side, if BP and AR can get over the drama and become bestest buds. Perhaps the same can happen with NSP. Here’s to hoping it will!

This also made me curious how my kill # stacks up against others in my tier. I have seen some folks posting 70k+ kills counts from other servers, so i wondered if we have kill counts like that on BP/AR/NSP?

I don’t know this Ele you speak of, I generally run around solo tbh. I just think its funny that everytime someone has a beef they resort to the “1 vs. 1 Me so I can show you I have more skillz” argument, I blame WoW personally.

its not about winning or losing a 1v1 brah, its about him saying he’ll 1v1 me where his zerg was and then logging off. I thought the kitten was funny, because then that zerg got wiped right after by NSP people. I mean I don’t need to 1v1 him for everyone to know I’d stomp him out, that isn’t even the issue.

I lose plenty of 1v1’s idgaf i’m still better than the dogs that beat me, but what I never do is be afraid of online video game pvp. That is why I call him a coward, because how is he going to be a man in real world if he is afraid to die in virtual world.

also: someone straight up saying “no i don’t want to 1v1 you will beat me” is more of a man than anyone who would win a 1v1. The act of winning a 1v1 or losing a 1v1, accepting or refusing a 1v1 is meaningless. Dodging around like a snake and slithering away instead of straight up saying no makes you a joke and insecure

Sekz is filled with idiots and I have a dealt with a lot of bullkitten from them directly and indirectly. I haven’t said anything previously though because I don’t want server drama, but then last week I was told they are transferring servers without (possibly) telling anyone and so I called them out on their bullkitten and posted they are transferring. Day later they start telling everyone

I think I remember this. There was a group of about 4-5 Thieves on the eastern side of the bridge island with a treb firing on lake tower. They also had an unfinished flame ram up there which we thought was pretty funny. We thought we would just kill the ram to be funny too.

the treb was bait, we just wanted people to run over our traps.

I didn’t bother saving the combat log last time, that was my mistake, but i will next time, so i can shut up your entire elitest guild. I didn’t know skills meant knocking people down, stunning them to the point they can’t fight back and killing them on the ground meant you guys had skills.

Maybe I’m looking at pvp differently, but I require no skills that prevents my enemy from using their abilities to fight me, and I still win.

I don’t want to fuel Teviospy, but, personnaly, I have yet to find a roamer group of Sekz. Tho I saw group of 12-15 players of them going around. I actually hoped to find them in a smaller group to test them!

By the way Teviospy, I also have yet to see you? Yet with your tanky build, I would remember fighting you. Are you always on EB? I don’t like EB for roaming, too zergy, and there is always a sieging hitting you. Some people seems to stay 24/24 on siege.

I play more than 1 build and a ton of variations of the builds I play, ie 10 30 0 0 30 stomps out DP thieves pretty hard but 10 30 10 0 20 is better for general fighting while 10 30 0 10 20 is best for not being kited while 25 30 0 0 15 is best for damage. I’m going to be trying 10 30 0 5 25 soon enough because I think it would be best for damage and mobility. Add onto that my shortbow condition build, my permastealth condition spam build, a double pistol rofl build I do when i am tired and want to faceroll (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gozyr-fUR3c), and some others. I haven’t played dodge build in like a week+ now.

Here are the guilds that do small man pvp or have members that solo roam or have actually accepted/requested 1v1’s from me. Note not 1v1’s to show whos better but 1v1’s to teach and learn stuff and just have fun. People who do the former are usually insecure and loserish. IDK if there are more on the other servers but there could be

Of course there are people a part of the bigger guilds that do roam by themselves so they are included. I’ve seen several people from tM, Loot, Os, TFG, and many people from quebecois guilds as well roaming by themselves or in what I could tell to be groups of <5. So this isn’t directed at them but I don’t think any of them has as much experience as the NSP guilds i listed above.

but only ONCE have i seen anyone from sekz solo roam, and thats because he was following me. I got into an argument with one of them the other day after I called their guild a zerg guild, the guy didn’t even know thieves can steal skills off of different classes and had no idea what magic bullet did. He had no idea how a shatter mesmer sets up his damage and then justified his skill by saying that I would lose a 1v1 with him because he would have friends to help him (?????). I’ve also been told that you lose a 1v1 if your target is able to run away and get to his zerg by this same guild. A guild that has members in it that considers on average a group of 15 to not be a zerg ._. …. all of that started when I told them I trolled evilzara and I got swarmed by some passive aggressive white knight despite others in their guild telling me to troll her / giving me her name to troll her

Now i’m not insulting any of you, and I’m not saying you don’t have people that don’t go out by themselves one or twice every no and then. But as far as I am concerned through my own observation and discussion with people from your guild, you guys have no idea what you’re doing in a small man group because you guys have no knowledge of what to do in a 1v1 situation or any knowledge of other classes. That is not an insult, but to act as if sekz somehow has an insane amount of solo pvp ability when they never solo pvp is ignorant.

If you actually strive to be gr8 solo accomplished pvprs, then go out and roam by yourselves while listening to music. Until then anyone saying sekz is a challenge is laughable, I consider them the ALS of NSP. I’ve seen them fail taking AB over and over again a few weeks ago and then get portal bombed by the other server, then high five each other over /map about how they got some bags and leave the borderlands. This was an hour after I asked for help with no reply to taking garrison (which we would have btw). These guys don’t have the proper attitude to be good pvp’rs, I get embarassed as fek if I lose but then I try to think why I lost and if I can do something better. These guys act as if they never lose. That is the sekz you guys are saying are capable pvprs?

idc about food at least theres a choice and lets you customize your build further, but bundles just make it so your build takes a backseat to the bundle.

Someday NSP will get tired of following others coattails and try to take objectives themselves. Maybe then you won’t be last every week.
Every week its the same BP attacks ARBL, then NSP shows up, BP leaves, NSP leaves. AR attacks BP, NSP shows up. NSP never leads the way anywhere except to last place.
If a place is fortified NSP avoids it, if a place just got taken by AR or BP, then NSP will show up to cap a paper tower left behind.
It’s truly sad and quite pathetic.

Not only that but knowing me I’m more likely to outplay an ALS commander and his raid, kill 3 of his 5 golems (that were sub 10% hp, not full health), join his group and tell him to let me kill his other golems ONLY to rub in the fact I already killed 60% of them and hope that he brings it up 3-4 weeks later when I forgot what that commanders name is to show everyone how upset he was that I did that.

Also knowing me, I probably would get his baddie sidekick ele that follows him around like a dog to ~1% hp to assert my dominance and then vanish away just to add insult to injury

All classes, regardless of traits on dodge, need to take confusion damage on dodging.

Especially thieves.

P.s. HackerTeivospy should take double confusion damage on dodge. 4x is traited for caltrops. :p

When you trait for a bonus on dodge you dodge for the dodge you don’t dodge for the bonus. The only penalty you should take for traiting a specific way is that you can’t pick another trait instead. Having confusion damage you because you traited a certain way is just wrong and causes specific traits to have really really big cons when you take them

The risk v reward thing is an argument I don’t agree with, it should be risk v penalty. When it comes to dodging you dodge to avoid damage (penalty) or avoid incoming damage(risk), ie incoming damage dodges would be dodging someones illusionary leap or bullscharge or whatever but since you have x stacks of confusion on you you will be penalized no matter what choice you make, it becomes penalty v penalty. The deeper problem is that you’re penalized for taking that trait. That sounds really dumb because that makes dodge traits terrible (and caltrops is already a pretty bad skill to take) and no game designer should want their game have traits that are bad for such a dumb reason.

Also i’m not entirely sure on this but with the glamour trait, if you dodge into a field or out of one do you still have confusion stacks applied to you despite the dodge? If anyone knows this I’d appreciate it if you would tell me.

Currently most mesmers are shatter spec instead of confusion spec, I find it funny because I’ve always thought confusion mesmers to be the more powerful mesmer. Confusion was already nerfed 50% in spvp, I’m surprised mesmers haven’t smartened up and taken the hint of its power in wvw

Many classes have a trait which gives them an additional skill use when they dodge. Guardian heal and thief caltrops on dodge are two examples. Mesmer clone on dodge may also cause this but I haven’t tested it. These traits cause the player to take confusion damage when they dodge roll

For example, on my thief with caltrops on dodge traited, a confusion mesmer can do 1500 damage to me (rounded down) with 4 stacks of confusion when i dodge roll in wvw. That is ~6% of my health per dodge.

Note that boons on dodge don’t cause damage, so those traits are no problem.

I don’t know whether this is by design or not, I feel it shouldn’t be and it is something overlooked by the developers.

Once again this not only punishes thieves who spec for caltrops on dodge, but also effects other classes as well. I feel like I need to point this out because I’m sure there will be complaints about full cooldown glass cannon thieves being able to 1 shot glass cannon mesmers thus confusion is justified to be able to damage to any class that has a traited dodge.
