Its vs an Upleveled Target and just look at Warriors now with Axe Finisher they do 15-20k Dmg easily

Barrage is nice at it is, maybe increase Dmg by 15%

Rapidfire needs a huge dmg Buff about 50% Channeltime is ok

I make MUCH ! more Dmg using Longshot than Rapidfire

( e.g. Rapidfire max 17-18k Dmg on 4.5sec, in this time i do more than 25k Dmg with my Longbow if all Arrows hits and Crits. )

13.017 Dmg with one Single Shot :-P anyone Higher? ( only with 11 Stacks of Might )

I agree with u Shiren, in the Marksmanship Tree we have to many good Options and in Skirmishing for Example Power/Crit ( Zerker ) Users we only have one Good Talent there for Bow Users -

Quickdraw

If u wanna go for LB now especially for WvW u need

30 Points into Marksmanship with

Steady Focus

Eagle Eye

Piercing Arrows

for Skirmishing i would take

Pets Prowess

Quick Draw

Remorseless or Spotter ( both Crit Talents not Power Talents )

But Ranger Trees need a overall rework

Move Trap Traits to our Wilderness Line ( no explain or? ^^ )

Move Material Mastery and Offhand Training to Skirmishing Line ( Because of Dmg Talents )

If u wanna fix the Ranger ( except Power Builds )

buff Eagle Eye to 10% Dmg for LB AND! SB
With Eagle Eye LB Increase to 1500 ( from 1200 ) and SB to 1200 (from 900)

Buff overall LB by 25% Dmg and negate the Barrage 50% Dmg Nerf!

U can do 15k Dmg with Rapidfire in Full Zerk Build but thats in 5 Sec !!!

Do the Math 15.000 Dmg / 5 = 3.000 per/sec

3k Dmg ? really? a normal Shot can go up to 4-4.5k Dmg ……

Power/Berserk Builds with Bows SUCK at Game Start

Now we past over 1 Year and LB is near as Bad as Game Start

A Warrior can do easily 20k and above with Killshot and have fun in WvW and Pve ( not in Spvp )

20k in 1 sec! and we do 3k in one Sec -.- oh wait we have a (nerfed ) Pet that die constantly in WvW

ANET nerfed us to the ground and only one Build is Viable ( Bunker with Heal/BM Hybrid )

The best Thing is Spirits ^^ they arent viable since Start and they arent now for WvW and Pve, because they die so easily and are useless.

Gave them Immunity like Banners ? whats thekitten*** Problem?

Sry for Rage but it is rly frustating

1500 GS and he got nothing and lost 150g

If i am not correct, Spirits have 6.250 Life with Buff, but anyway it make no sense that they could die so easily ( also our Pet ) in large Wvw Fights and for exampel in Fractals.

In Spvp this is no Problem, but in WvW and Pve it is huge…..

If we are True Rangers, why do Warriors have one of the hightest Dmg Output with Rifle ( Killshot )

In a year or so, they will Buff LB and SB in a right direction but will we still play Gw2? i am not sure.

Here are my favourite Hints/Tips for WvW Group/Zerg Play ( and Pve )

1. Make Spirits immortal so we can use them in large Fights
2. Buff Longbow overall and negate the Barrage ( 5 ) Nerf (10% Buff overall is not much )
3. Eagle Eye now give 1200 Range for SB and 5% Dmg Buff OR Bleeding with SB now from all sides
4. Overall Trait Tree Changes ( for advice Move Trapper Traits to Wilderness )
5. Pet survival viability for WvW/Dungeons ( AOE immortal )
6. Pet Stow and 25% Dmg Boost, if Pet is deactivated( Like Warhammer WL/ u know how )
7. For Those who dont wanna play as a “Bunker” and Melee, make us the Ranger we are supposed to
8. Reduce Cooldown on LB (5) Barrage for better AOE Support in Large Fights (maybe to 20 Sec )
9. Make Power Builds viable to Bunker Builds ( @ Bunker it is a lot of easier for a Rangers Life :-P )

Overall make a SB / LB Kombo more attractive, i think this will make most of Rangers happier.

For Con. Dmg Rangers is Lynx with F2 Ability the best Pet in my view. ( For WvW )

U can do 10k dmg? outsch wow :-) with LB and Rapidfire i can reach 18k ( if the opponennt didnt move xD )

But against an warrior with Rifle, our "BURST DMG " ist not rly good, try to dodge Killshot … and then u try easily to dodge Rapidfire

Ranger as Bunker is very Good

Ranger as a Full Glas Canon ist one of the worst Classes in Gw2

A boost in projectile speed it will raise the dmg output overall as well.The longbow has allready a nice dmg skill so its not a dmg output problem,its actually the reliability of the autoattack.I dont want to stand in one point and just autoattack and do more dmg that using other skills but i want when i need to throw some fast and low dmg hits to have a reliable autoattack to support it.Anet said before GW2 was released that meele will do more dmg cause its more risky.Shortbow allready does great dmg and with it we can outdmg every class in range.Fast strong autohits with a lot of usefull skills in 2,3,4,5.
Imo the 3 fast but low dmg hits will make the Longbow reliable,punish those who try to run away from a Ranger and is steady in close range.

Reduce the Dmg Output from our Pet !!!!!!!! if not traited to 10% not 40%!!!!! of Rangers Dmg.

Only if Beastmaster Specced the Pet should be able to do 50% Dmg of a Rangers Dmg

i am a Ranger from the German Community and i have a litte Question to Robert.

It would make me happy that it is possible to stow the Pet and gain a passive Dmg Bonus like 10% for example, until then the Pet is stowed.

Especially in WvW a Pet is in large Battles totally useless and thats a Fact.

Yeah i am a Ranger, but who the Hell tells me:

You are a Ranger and u have to use Pets! or play another Class.

I hope u can gave me/us a clearly Answer about my Question, what the German Devs are not be able to do………..

This can be one Solution for Players who want to fight without the Pet for Dungeons, and for Large Battles.

For Fractals/Dungeons we need another Solution to fix that Problem that our Pet dies so quickly ( except the ranged Pets )

I play a lot of WvW and i only play Ranger nothing else, and if my Targets move i dont hit, thats a fact.

They didnt evade, they just move…..

Pets die in seconds

Arrows are 90% obstructed, missed or something else, they hit anything but not moving Players

Rangers dont have Burst Dmg! if u think we have, then play a Thief and u know what Burst Dmg is.

It isnt me that Rangers doesnt have Burst, its Anet and the Class, is it my fault that Arrows didnt hit? is it my fault that Pets dies in Seconds in Dungeons an WvW?

It is easy to say, yes! but if u say yes u didnt really know to play ur ranger

So Bunker Ranger is the only Way to sucess?

I want to play with Bows but! my Arrows get 90% obstruced, missed or something else they dont land a hit on my Target!

Go to WvW and u will see how bad Bows are and Pets are useless

Maybe Bunker is a good choice for us and whats about the Rest?

Is that balanced? are only Warrios the only Class ( and Thiefes ) what are the only class(es) to to 10-20k with a Single hit? in Glass Cannon Equip?

So anyone who wants to to some huge Dps reroll Warrior or Thief? or play Ranger/Ing./Mesmer/Guardian and don`t wear Glass Cannon Equip?

Last but not Least, is it “fair” to instagib People with just One Shot? or is this Balance?
