Yesterday I ran AC paths 1 and 3, Cof paths 2, and TA paths up.
Both AC paths 1 and 3, as well as the TA paths up failed to spawn any of the checkpoint chests despite being the first run of the day. Additionally the TA run didn’t even yield the end chest with the 40 tokens in it, however it did give the 20. For whatever reason Cof was fine.
I submitted bug reports with attached screenshots in-game.
Has this happened to anyone else?
The current noise-makers are all fun and provide hours of entertainment, they are a great addition to the game.
……Some of us DON’T find it entertaining to listen to amateur 24 hour while in every civilized location in the game….. Instrument MUTE!!!
That didn’t really add anything, since the option to mute exists. It’s not like someone would hold you down and make you listen to Mary Had a Little Lamb out of key.
No one mentioned mounts specifically. Currently the majority of noise-makers allow the user to be mobile and adding wheels as an excuse for movement would be well in line with the norm. It would be as “ride-able” as the current Broom.

Perhaps in the future we can see a miniaturized “grand” piano on wheels that you can sit at and roll around on while playing, a la the music video for 1000 Miles.
Would anyone else be interested in seeing this type of noise-maker introduced?
In before zerker is still completely viable. Maybe if they buffed conditions vs npc’s people might look at condition based builds, but for pve there’s going to be no real change in the zerker meta imo.
There are no bloodstones around LA, then again what even is guildwars1 lore. Cearly it has nothing to do with this game so who knows. Surprise, it’s the dwarves and they are fighting Shiro.
I think maybe a connecting tunnel to CTC, so something to do with Primordus or delicious dragon energies.
Just kidding, what was found there was Scarlet all along.
Haha, I like the HAM radio comment. As for cleaning it’s probably due for another. Will have a look around inside when I do that.
Thanks for the feedback!
This happened maybe a minute after I logged in yesterday in Gendarran Fields.
It seems my toaster can not handle this game like it used to.
In all serious, does anyone know what this is/what causes it? I’m guessing graphics card is dying but that’s as far as I got with my non-computer savvy brain.
Why retire rank finishers. What drove me to pvp in the first place was the possibility of one day reaching that elusive dragon and being able to spam it proudly on the corpses of enemies. Now you’re binding that to a ladder which makes it impossible for everyone to have a chance of attaining it, and for those that do it only lasts until someone knocks them off. Why not keep ranks as they are and also implement the new ladder with ladder specific finishers.
Replacing glory with gold. I don’t see the need for it, sure it will be nice to sometimes win an insignificantly small amount of coin instead of glory which we use to trade in for boxes for skins and dyes… oh wait no it wouldn’t. That being said what’s stopping you from keeping glory and also having gold as an alternative method of currency.
Keeping pvp/pve armor and weapons separate was a great idea, it’s a shame to see that go.
This game has been changing a lot recently, and I’m not sure it’s for the better. That’s my opinion but it’s likely I won’t continue playing depending on the upcoming changes over the next few months. I’m just one person though, so who cares. Fudge me right?
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Fractal
“Similar to explorable dungeons, individual characters can receive daily rewards for completing the Solid Ocean Fractal in each factor they have unlocked. This daily reward chest includes a Bag of Coins (which contains 2 to 4 silver), a number of Fractal Relics, a chance at a bonus Ascended or Fractal item depending on the factor level, and a Pristine Fractal Relic at higher fractal level. Thus, a character that has unlocked difficulty 30 could complete 4 fractal dailies each day, one each at even numbers from 1 to 9, 10 to 19, 20 to 29 and 30. "
Not a terrible idea, or perhaps have a ‘trophy’ slot and the spider legs can hang off your belt :P
Everyone should just wear pink.
We’ve cleared the entrance to the Citadel of Flame!
Sorry, it seems I may have confused you. I’m not talking about the two weapon sets that most classes get, I’m talking about the ability to change within those two on the fly (while out of combat) and how if you replaced your main/offhand weapon with a 2-handed weapon, then the offhand would shoot into the first available slot in your inventory rather than remain in the equipped slot but be unused.
(edited by Hallen.7154)
Which classes, and why would it only be limited to a few.
In GuildWars we were able to have an unused/hidden offhand in the offhand slot even though a two handed weapon, such as a bow or staff, might have been in use. This enabled for quick weapon changes when needed and also kept our inventories cleaner.
Currently if you have a mainhand and offhand weapon which you then replace with a two-handed weapon, both the main and offhand are sent to the inventory with only the mainhand weapon being swapped to where the two-handed weapon was while the offhand is sent to the top of your inventory depending on the type of bags* you use.
If you’re like me you then have a compulsion to stop mid combat and drag the missplaced offhand back to wherever you place your other weapons in order to keep things neat and tidy. It also slows down weapon changes ever so slightly.
Might we see an equipped (unused) offhand when using two-handed weapons in the future? Am I crazy? What are your thoughts?
*Note:Unsure if equipment/exotic bags change this, I would assume so but don’t use them myself. Clarification needed.
I just can’t understand how you can go from something so beautiful to what appears to be an aborted chicken fetus

See attachment. On the left is GuildWars, on the right is GuildWars2.
A step backwards aesthetically? Discuss.
Hi all, tonight in Australia the network lag is horrific.. Press a button and nothing happens for a few seconds.. My fps is around 90 and I have not Internet connection issues
Las night was fine today it’s unplayable.. Really not happy, please fix!
Same issue, and it seems to have carried over to today.
Chocobo theme intro, the end is still a little strange though:
6-4-3-11-3-4-6-4-6-5-44-5-4-3-4-3-44-5-6-7
Let me know if you come up with something better
How long will the instances at each city last? As in can they be completed between 10am start till the 10am start of a different city? Can you get the achievement at any time during this period? If you miss a day can you get the achievement at the end when you have the opportunity to replay these instances?
I had the same issue and feared the worst, very relieved that someone else had the same experience.
That’s what I first thought too, but after the 10th or so time you start to wonder… :/ I’m just in a state of fear that one day I’ll get a message from a guildy asking why my characters are called Jrgkk and selling gold.
So I just tried to log in and my password wasn’t recognised. Naturally I freaked and changed my password for guildwars and my linked email, checked to see if some random IP had logged in and ran a full scan.
Nothing turned up so now I’m wondering “what the heck?”.
Has anyone else had this issue?
Several times now I’ve seen rangers completely vanish during a fight for a few seconds in spvp. As far as I know there is nothing that allows for this. How the hell are they doing it!
Trait. You can always look stuff up before you make yourself look like a nub heh.
“As far as I know there is nothing that allows for this”
Just because it is as “far as you know” doesn’t mean you are correct.
guildwarswiki next time bro.
I never said it I was correct, that’s the whole point in asking. I did check wiki but couldn’t find it so I came to forums. Shame on me for asking for help.

If you want to kill trash just ask? If they say no you can always leave the party. A great thing about dungeons is that you can leave without hindering the people that remain, unless it’s your instance of course.
So long as someone in the party wants to do it, even one person, it gets done. It doesn’t take that long and you get a waypoint for your time while also keeping everyone happy. Let’s face it, you can’t really moan about a free chest/money/drops/waypoint at the cost of a few minutes. Usually groups will do it anyway if the CT spawns and get drops from both. It really depends on what the people in the party want and you also have to consider that not everyone will be of the same skill level or have the same familiarity with the dungeon as others, some might not know how to skip or maybe walk into him if it is a first time. It doesn’t really make much of a difference because even with a half decent PUG you will blow through it and probably have a fun time.
It would be great if some lore was released to provide some sort of background to it, but isn’t the mystery what makes it great? For all we know it could be the spirit of the jade sea, a future god, or a dream of the mists. What’s important is that it gives us the opportunity for wild speculation and a collaboration of different and unique ideas.
I only just started ‘flipping’ today but am terrible at math and at any basic form of monetary management. I predict I will be broke in a week
That being said is there some sort of guide or what-have-you that can explain the TP to someone like me… sort of an “Idiots guide to trading”. Please and thank you.
For every successful bot identified by players… reward with a small amount of gold. Having the community moderating bots won’t be a sure fire solution but it might help to stem the tide a bit and at the very least make players feel more comfortable in the report scheme. I’m sure there are more than enough people who play several hours every day that would be more than willing to jump through a few zones and tag possible bots in exchange for a few gold (for successfully identified bots) rather than actual real world payment. Issues with abuse can be dealt with by only making a handful of players moderators per world. Post the moderator names so that everyone can have access to them and tell them where they have seen bots through whispers/mail.
It’s a pipe dream and unlikely to be implemented but something to think about all the same.
Sylvari
Guardian
No boost!
Also encountered this bug on my Sylvari Guardian. I can find and pick up the bundle but when taking it to the designated area nothing happens. Tried dropping/picking up, talking to whats-her-face, restarting, but nothing worked.
A big issue is probably the fact that they are linked to achievements and Anet wants people to have to take the time to work towards it.
I like the idea of having extra rewards for completing weekly dungeon goals and extra rewards for completing X amount of paths. Account wide token rewards are also an interesting idea. I’m not sure about reducing the cost of the armor or increasing the amount of the rewards though, it seems to be fairly well balanced at the moment.
In sPvp/WvW it’s useful to absorb damage while making an escape or to fear an enemy away. I’ve found that I use it more in dungeons as you can set your traits up so that you can heal your nearby allies with life siphon which when combined with a dagger set for quick DS regeneration can provide a useful little boost to the team.
It’s probably been mentioned before in another post, however a feature that is sorely needed is the ability to preview items in the trading post making it easier for players to purchase items with skins that they consider desirable. This would leave out out a lot of the guess work in that regard.
