I’m pretty hyped for HoT, I’m really hoping for a Hylek playable race!

I didn’t look at the details but I resolved the issue myself.

Currently I am running on the Windows 10, testing OS. The problem was that GW2 was still trying to boot with Windows 7 configurations.

To resolve this for anyone with the same problem, find your GW2.exe location, mine is:
C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Guild Wars 2

Right Click > Properties > Compatability > Tick “Run this program in compatibility mode for” and select “Windows 8”

So I wanted to make a character similar to Boba Fett (from Start Wars). I want the Armour to look similar to Mandalorian (like Boba/Jango’s armour) and have a cool helmet. I’d also like some abilities that worked well together and were similar to those of Boba. I use 2 pistols, any tips or advice!

Hi, I wanted to report this problem but I know sometimes Lag cannot be helped and also that it is mostly to do with 1 person’s internet rather than the server. I have been getting back into Guild Wars 2 in the past week as a few of my friends have bought it, we are all on the Europe Server, Desolation and we are all receiving very bad lag, so much so that sometimes the games is practically unplayable. We all live in England and I was wondering weather or not there is some kind of failure going around in the Liverpoo/Warrington area. Thankyou, Joni.

I completely agree with this idea and have been thinking it myself! I’d love to see this as an extension onto the Guild Wars 2 website in the future!

A slot to equip Mini’s in the Hero Panel would make me very happy. I always like having my little mini about with me but every time I die or WP i have the inconvenience of going into my inventory to equip him again. If he could be equipped and unequipped like a piece of armour or a weapon I would be more than great full. Thanks for reading.

Hi everyone, I was sat pondering yesterday on things I’d like to see in Guild Wars 2 and I found myself thinking a lot about the ability to dye your weapons like you can dye your armour. I believe that enabling this would grant more personal identity and customization to each and every character in Tyria.

I know that with my main character I have full vigil armour dyed Green and Black but also Vigil Greatsword and Rifle that are Silver and Yellow. Maybe make only Exotic Weapons dye-able? I have heard that in the original Guild Wars you could dye weapons to a certain extent and I would love to see this in a Guild Wars 2 update soon.

Hey, I’ve been over to the Bear Shaman Marga [Skill Challenge] in Kresdor Kenning two days in a row now and every time I go to activate it just makes her say something like “What a wonderful day we’re having!”. I have done this Skill Challenge on most of my characters I don’t see why it’s not working for this one. Thank you to anyone who reads this/tries to fix it. (Server: Desolation)

Hey guys, I wanted to know. There was a bug with Legendary weapons such as Sunrise, Nightmare and Eternity (maybe more) that when you got them/equip them they didn’t count as legendary weapons to get the badge. It even stated this on the official Wiki page. I just wanted to ask if this has been altered before I attempt to make one of them, thankyou.

I completely agree with you I find it annoying when my mini is lagging behind me a little bit and I just hate that every time I waypoint or die that I have to resummon them. I don’t use/buy them for that reason alone. I know nobody from Arena Net will probably read this but if you could put something in so that we can just put them into the Hero Equipment [H] panel like you do with weapons or armour that would be bloody brilliant!

Hey guys, I got banned for an hour short of 3 days today after an argument with a player online. He was going around, mouthing off and generally being annoying. When he started arguing with me over the fact that I didn’t make a jump I posted “Shut up kitten.” This somehow got me banned for 71 hours. Any chance of getting this lifted early or undone? – Joni

I would love to see the Tengu as a playable race.

I don’t think the Kodan would make a good race. Tbh their all white and it wouldn’t look right with customized colors. The Largos are under water creatures who try yo avoid contact with outher races. BUT I would really like to see the Tengu as a playable race in the future/

I, though not by choice, would be classified as a casual gamer. This being due to the fact I am a full time student and also work almost full time, so I do not have the time to spend hours everyday to grind away. As the economy stands now, I feel as if it punishes the casual gamer or the gamer that does not have X amount of hours to put into the game every week. I am sure Anet is doing their best to try and fix this, but the price fluctuations (primarily increases) for mats, weapon skins, precursors, armor skins, etc. is becoming ridiculous. I understand that Legendaries were meant to reward dedicated players with the time and effort they put into the game, and I can completely understand that, but even exotic prices have gone up incredibly, and even though they Lost Shores patch said that there is an increase in rare and exotic drops rates, I have actually witnessed the opposite. I have gotten less drops in general (drops being any weapon or armor), let alone rare/exotics, after the patch than before, and this is taking into account I have invested in MF gear since and usually have 100+ MF (Which should be a displayed stat but that is a whole different issue). This makes me wanting to craft the weapons/armor I want near impossible, since without rare/exotics you have no ectos, unless you have enough to dish out 32-36s per, which in return requires grind and a lot of time.

I understand that they want to push Fractals, but the drop-rate differences between regular dungeons, regular mobs/world bosses, and Fractals is substantially different. I used to run around with the zerg in Orr when I had some free time because it required no time commitment and be able to get drops and leave whenever I please. Now if I do not have 1-2 hours to find a group and run Fractals, I will most likely not be able to make money. The diminishing returns do not help contribute one bit, either. I get why they implemented it, and it is to help fight the bots as well, but now with almost every bot gone, I feel like it just hurts the players.

Also, I never even feel like trying my luck with the Mystic Forge due to this. If I get a rare or exotic, If I can make a profit on it, I TP it, otherwise I would much rather gamble and try to pull an ecto or two from the item rather than throw 4 of the same rarity and get back an item that is worth the same as one of the four thrown in. This is a big bummer, for me, since I expected myself testing my luck with the forge a lot when it was announced, but with everything being so expensive, it is probably the most illogical thing to do imo.

In short, I just feel like to keep up with the economy, whether it may be to make a legendary, crafting, or other exotic skins in general, exploring is not good enough anymore. You must grind specific areas for hours to days to get a chance at what you want. Am I the only one that feels this way? Just wanted to share what I have been feeling and get other opinions on it.

I completely agree!! It is extremely hard to play the game as I have to buy armor, weapons, way-points, upgrades and I’m even avoiding leveling up at all costs as I can’t afford the armor I need to stand any chance of survival in my level zone. It’s easier to make a profit in real life than in Guild Wars 2!! For crying out loud Arena Net I play Guild Wars 2 to relax and have fun not to have another penniless pocket I have to stress about!!

Hey guys, is it just me or have the Charr Males gained some more phrases today?
When my Charr got up off the ground earlier he said “You can never keep a good Charr down!” and there’s a;so something when you get hit “I can’t remember my orders!” I think it is. Are these new or have I just gone a long time without hearing them?

After everyone in Fissure of Woe (and probably other servers) were anticipating the new Act 3, it opens up with an epic cutscene and BAM!! Nobosy can get in… great… just great…

Hey, sometimes when I port to a waypoint (usually after death) I just port and die :/ This can be annoying and all racks up your amount of deaths. If this could be fixed it would make me a happy little Charr

Phang Deathrain
The moon stared malevolently down at the twisted trees that reached eagerly from the grassy field like deformed black hag fingers. Hateful, scarlet eyes stared down to the noisy Bandit camp. At least 9 Bandits were gathered around a fire each holding a tankard full to the brim with stolen Ale. With every drunken movement they made a small amount of their beverage would lap over the edge onto the cracked earth. Usually Phang contemplated his actions before he charged in but tonight was different, his anger clouded his judgment and red was the only colour he could see.
A blood thirsty roar echoed as the lunar rays bounced from the Charr’s eyes and into those of one of the Bandit patrolling the perimeter. Fear consumed him as he stared at the raging beast charging towards him. He tried to shout but a fury ash coloured hand has already wrapped tightly around his throat like a boa constrictor, the harder he squeezed the more the sound of bones crushing echoed out of the victims dry mouth along with a slight wheeze.

This all happened within’ the space of approximately 4/5 seconds and now the drunken Bandits rose to their feet to investigate the noise. Phang made no attempt to hide in the shadows and charged down into the pit of vulgar men with his two golden blades now unsheathed. “Get h—!!” the instruction was interrupted by decapitation. As a fountain of blood sprayed from the stump the other criminals attempted to attack Phang. But they were no match his movements were swift and devastatingly powerful. His skill was unmatched in the Blood Legion. After about half a minute ten corpses now lay on the ground, some with deep slices, others with broken bones or snapped necks and some they were no longer recognizable.

It was hard to believe that yesterday Phang was at home with his child still very much alive and getting ready for some Halloween Trick or Treating, his eyes and face lit up in excitement. After Phang had defeated a gang of cut-throats trying to over-run a small town they had promised him a terrible fate but using much more derogatory vocabulary. He laughed and began walking over to them casually and they fled (as all cowards do). Little did he know that they would abduct and torture his Cub the following night.

Suddenly, the sound of a breaking stick snapped just behind Phang, his four ears pricked at the side of his fury skull as a crippling blow was forced into his spine. He dropped to his knees as the 10ft Norn Bandit forced him to the ground before kneeling on his chest (snapping several rib bones). “Deathrain!” the Bandit punched him in the face, blood leaked from the gaps in his sharp teeth. With each swing flashbacks of his son ran through his head. 1 Punch, 2, Punch, 3 Punch, Stop. The Charr’s enraged eyes lit up like flaming balls as he plunged his piercing jet horns through the torso of the Norn. The veins in the convict’s forehead stood out and his eyes were intensely blood shot. After tossing the caucus into the fire, Phang stared around the death ridden camp.

Did this revenge make him feel better? Relieved? No. His cub was never coming back but would never be forgotten. The beast, so full of pain dropped to his knees on the cold dusty ground. He turned his attention to many puncture wounds in his coat. “Hah…” the adrenaline had blocked any physical pain from his system. His vision began to tunnel as the crimson liquid drained through his fur. One more corpse was added to the collection around the fire. His pain was over.

Hey Warriors, Jonika here. I’m a Charr but was just wondering what weapon duo do you use and what moves do you use one after the other? Example:

I use my Great Sword and Rifle:
I usually draw them over with my rifle and use my Throw Balls to freeze them for a little more damage time. I then wal back (still shooting) and throw a mine on the floor. The enemy run towards me and as they step on the mine and I switch to my Great Sword. My Great Sword Combo usually consists of the combo pattern: #3 (Or Bull’s Charge). #5, #2 and then attack with some 1#s.

Sorry if you think this post was a waste of time, I’m trying to up my Strategy and maybe help some Rookies too

Hey, I can see were you are coming from as I use the same weapon set as you (although I am only level 36) But as much as I hear what you’re saying I can’t help but wonder “What more do you want them to do?” I don’t really get it. I mean, it’s a rifle. You’re going to hold it into your shoulder and pull the trigger. I think maybe the #5 Rifle (Pimp) Slap could have been a little more inventive but apart from that I think it’s all good

P.S: If You’re a Guardian why are you posting in the Warrior Section?

This is my first thread on the forum and obviously if people want to suggest the use of Mounts then they will put them in the suggestion section, weather you dislike them or not. If you have a problem just stop replying to them, I believe they would work if they were made properly. They made the suggestion section for a reason.

I do see were you’re coming from and yes that would be good too. Maybe Arena Net could work around that, find a way to get past the obstacle skipping and maybe un-mount the player if he/she runs into ‘trouble’

Hi, my names Joni and I’ve been playing Guild Wars 2 from the day it came out. But I have found that it can be quite boring as you amble towards your next quest/event/instance I think the game could be improved by Mounts. I believe this is the only thing that World of Warcraft has on Guild Wars 2. I mean, I know there are WayPoints that you can port’ too and when it comes to 3 Silver per travel and then you have to go to and from in order to report to your current quest giver. The WayPoints are good ideas, don’t get me wrong but nothing truly replaces the feeling of having your own faithful friend to travel with you. If anyone from Arena Net is reading this please try to get this into the game. It would improve ratings and bring over more new players in my opinion. Anyone else, please tell me your opinions on this. Thankyou for reading.
