I couldn’t decide for a long time when I was leveling because I didn’t want my guardian looking like a fruit salad. In the end I just went for straight silver and let the world’s lighting bring the beauty of the colour.

What armor is that? I really like the look of it.

I think that is the PvP Heavy Plate armor.

I noticed my warrior channeling Al Pacino when fighting with a greatsword. Every few swings or so, she would yell, “Hooah!”

I have two Asura. One is a cute little bunny girl and the other is a cute little mouse girl.

The one thing I don’t like though is when she gets low on health and yells, “It hurts” I kind of feel like crap.

I guess all the people wondering about the chest should be told it is on the very bottom level.

Also the emote thing doesn’t seem to do anything if you leave the entrance area and go down the chain to the first area before he gets to that part.

The rune set isn’t any better. It requires 25 plastic teeth and 200 candy corn. I finally have 26 of the teeth and about 800 candy corn. I will never get all the teeth I need before the event ends. I guess my only hope is to get enough to make as many as I can and sell them for a crap ton since there will not be that many for sell so that someone can get a set of six.

Besides some greens and other crap, I got the light and heavy Mad King’s chest piece.

I didn’t see it on the first read, but is there a strategy for which lines to go up first for someone leveling up? I just hit 60 and need to respend my points. I would assume that I should straight for AH and then the rest in Honor?

Also I have seen many mention the Runes of Divinity. Are they so great because of the crit damage bonus or the +60 to stats? If it is just the stats or mostly the stats, then how good are the Orbs as I understand they are cheaper from what I remember. # x emerald and 3 x sapphire would get you 60 precision, 60 heal, 84 toughness and 84 power. If it is the crit damage, then 3 x Beryl and 3 x Ruby would get you 120 power, 12% crit damage, 42 vitality and 42 precision.

I know that isn’t quite the same as +60 to all stats and 12% crit damage, but is it something worth looking into?

I am going to have to side with the poster on the youtube site and ask for a track list of the music you were playing. Some of it sounds familiar and was driving me nuts trying to figure out what it was.

Defending the spirits was boring and repetitive. Getting drunk was fun and like my own personal version of The Hangover. Haven’t done any of the other Norn stories yet.

What is the trick to getting protection up full time?

Would adding Purging Flames or Judge’s Intervention to the line up be worth it? They are fire fields, but have a fairly long recharge.

I love the way my Asura whirls in a circle while bouncing up and down and then stops and wobbles for a second.

I would remove the cooldown for swapping atunements. If we are supposed to be swapping to make the most of the class, then we shouldn’t be penalized for it.

Put it on the same timer as Engineers swapping kits! :P

I have the lost connection thing too with the 7 error. However, though I like to blame Comcast, I also run a teamspeak server on my other computer and do not loose connection to it. I just lag on the game and then get booted.

I have stolen aggro from someone by just standing off to the side and watching them fight.

Most of the time I summon mine nothing happens. Maybe there was a stray leaf in the wind I didn’t see, a small root in the ground or it just doesn’t like inclines.

Take away the 15 second timer for swapping attunements and most of the problems will go away. If I am forced to swap attunements in order to get the best results, then I shouldn’t be penalized for it along with having skill cooldowns too.

Curious. I chose to save the people and sacrifice Quinn for the good of the many. I am such a great friend I know! I ended up fighting Doc Howler at the well and when I faced her at level 8 which was the mission level, she killed me and by the time I got back, she had killed Logan and six Seraph. I ended up dying so many times that I lost all my armor.

I went back at level 12 with one more utility slots and more skill choices and beat her with my mesmer without loosing anyone.

The part I am curious about is the next mission was up again Pete in the bar. Since he had killed Quinn, me and Logan decided we were going to just murder him. Draw him into the bar and kill him. No jail, no trial, no magistrate. Funny thing is afterwards, I go there are other people like Pete who deserve the same treatment and Logan is like “Good idea! I will be in touch.”

So did you kill Doc Howler or arrest her?

I had the same problem with my Human street rat missions. I would stand there and the npc would look like he/she was talking and then I would talk, they would actually talk. I would talk again and then they would go back to mime. There didn’t seems to be a pattern to it, but I have only seen it on my Human street rat missions starting at level 8. It may be a new bug and I will see it on other characters when I get around to them.

Have you tried different traits or maybe even different weapon combinations? When I was dieing a lot, a weapon change and a visit to the trait page was needed. Usually had no problems whatsoever and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and the challenge.

I don’t know about other players, but I don’t personally have any problems soloing the story missions. I can count on one hand the number of times I’ve died in the personal story, and my ranger is about to ding 70.

But the way I have to approach the fights is ridiculous. If you saw how I had to do it, you’d laugh your kitten off, while you heard the Benny Hill chase music running through your head.

Having to abuse AI to win means the design team did something wrong, somewhere. That’s all I’m saying.

I have a friend who has a ranger and has only had problems with two missions. I imagine my engineer will not have the problems I am having with it and other characters once I get the trait that makes turrets take 30% less damage and drop a thumper down.

I had to wait until level 12 and I had more utility slots and skills along with better armor to be able to do my level 8 Human street rat mission with my mesmer.

I don’t remember if you mentioned it in your 2nd video, but is there a strategy for putting points into the build as you level?

OK, now for my story.

I am on the Human street rat mission The Greater Good which is level 8. I am supposed to meet Logan Thackeray and stop the bandits from poisoning the well.

I meet him and go to the bottom of the ramp when bandits come down thetwo ramps opposite me. Between the whirl of death, melee, ranged and the bomb girl, I died a few times before I won through battle of attrition.

I am joined now by six Seraph so Logan and the Seraph follow me up to the top when we are supposed to stop them. A wave of bandits later and I am dead again. By the time I respawn and run back, the bandits have killed Logan and all six Seraph.

I figure I will be smart since they are standing near the bodies of my allies and move up the ramp so that when they come kill me they will be away from the pile of bodies. Strangely enough I manage to pull them one at a time until several more spawn behind me and I am dead before I know they are there.

I come back and finish the last bandits near the boss and the the ones that killed my are further up the ramp. I engage Doc Howler and die. I try again a different way and die. I try rezzing some Seraph, while dropping some clones and phantasms on her so I can get some more people up and die before the bar lets me rez another Seraph. I try different weapon combinations and tactics just to kill this one mob and die. At one point I popped my clone when I went down and Doc Howler even though I am at a different spot and supposedly invisible for a few seconds, Doc Howler shoots me killing me and then goes after my downed clone.

I have now died so many times that my character is butt naked, so I rage quit the game for the rest of the night.

I am a mesmer and this is my story.

You must be on the level 8 part where you chose to save Quinn instead of stopping the poisoners at the well. I see you are at a level 10 part. I wonder if that is in store for me next.

Trust me the well is just as bad if not worse. Pretty much all the personal quests that involve fighting are this way. My mesmer died so many times that I was nude before I rage quit the game.

If you are dying in your storyline, its time to put it away for awhile and go catch a few levels before trying again. That or get some help from freinds or guildies.

If you have to out level the story in order to do it, then it is not balanced.

If you have to get friends to help you then it is not personal.

My friends have decided to skip the ‘personal’ story quests until they are 80 and have nothing else to do. If that is the design intent then WAI.
