When you already have all the AP for those mini sets, will you unlock them retroactively? Because I’m sure not I’m alone when I say that I have sold all my mini’s after I unlocked the achievements related to them.

Yeah, it is total bullkitten.

Why? He sold the minis, so he doesn’t get the minis now. Makes sense to me.

Because people are silly, entitled brats who think that they must have everything handed to them retroactively when they made a decision before a feature was announced. It happened with the armor in the wardrobe too. People get over it.

No, because these are no longer obtainable. They unlocked the achievements we needed and then we were able to reforge them for the next set. And those unlocked the achievements. Now they’re adding new achievements that we should have had to begin with. So we are expected to keep everything we get in game from day one or else we’re kittened over. This is why nobody likes the games anet plays. I wouldn’t be surprised in set 1, 2 and 3 are on the Gem shop again the day of the patch just to get more people to buy gems and kitten again. Typical crap.

Ok, I’m going to step out of the shadows to respond to this.

Blu has contributed more to this community than anyone else in it. He is an all-star, and deserves to go to Germany and play alongside the people he has been promoting for the past year and a half.

It’s sad seeing some of the top players making disparaging remarks toward him. If you ever want to be taken seriously as a professional gamer, you should consider changing your attitude and acting like an actual professional. That includes being able to graciously accept when a decision is made.

Blu, you do not need defend yourself here. I want you to look at every all-star list for any sport ever played, and tell me that everyone on that list is at equal skill level (guess what, they are not). Now, consider that there are people in the world that need to make others feel bad, or people in the world that don’t know when they make others feel bad. This is the time we live in, and this is how online gaming communities work. They are a microcosm for all the highs and lows in life.

I have been in your shoes before. It’s hard being a public figure. It makes you an easy target. Just know that you are not alone, and know that this is a small blip in the great things you have done for GW2; people will move on.

I hope you will not become too discouraged by this, because you are still loved by many.

To me this was quite an illogical response you typed up Allie. You are trying to compare apples to oranges and defend a company you likely hold near and dear to you. He deserves to go for shoutcasting, not as a competitor and nobody is denying that notion.

Your “all-star list for any sport” comment is completely laughable. Of course everyone is not going to perform the same, it’s called being human. The problem in the conclusion you are drawing is that an all-star list from any sport is simply what it says, a list of all star players in that sport. Is Blu a true, top notch, astounding player? I personally am not sold on that notion, nor are others. There is quite a disparaging separation between his skill and the others on the all-star list to vote for. Such a disparity is not seen in “any sport ever played” when they are having a TRUE all-star roster. Do you ever see a backup quarterback voted to the pro-bowl in the NFL? I’ve never seen it. But even if that did happen, at least he was already one of the elite players by being in the NFL. Now extrapolate that to the current situation, is Blu known as an amazing player? No, he’s known for his shoutcasting. Apples to oranges. If this was called a “Favorite Players Tournament” then sure, put Blu up there hands down and the arguing goes away. But when you read “All-Stars tournament” it is expected that these participants will be the best in the game and put on a great show of skillful play for the viewers.

The definition of all-star seems to be inconsistent among the general understanding of what it stands for and how it is being applied here. Blu is an all-star pvp shoutcaster – absolutely. His all-star pvp play is questionable. Therefore, why is it illogical for people to be upset about his name being on the list for an “All-Star Tournament” when he doesn’t fit the definition?

Furthermore, you mention “disparaging remarks” made from the top players and how we can be taken professionally when we voice our disdain. I ask from you to think for a second about how it feels for us to see our names touted as skillful “All-Star” players beside the name of a famous shoutcaster, Blu. How does that make our efforts and time invested in this game seem? Pretty insignificant to be honest. So you want us to sit back and be gracious about getting slapped in the face by this mockery of an “All-Star” roster? Sure, some of the comments were written harshly by some, but what you are asking is for us to bite our tongues and smile while Blu is nominated as a member of our level and just roll with it. I find that asinine.

We are not just a vicious online community trying to make Blu feel bad for fun. We are simply a community that has been neglected, beaten, and pushed to the back burner one time too many. This tournament was seen as a recognition for the top end players and it has turned into a farce.

Hopefully you find my response “professional” as apparently you feel that we all lack that virtue.

Rejoice folks. No dungeon runs. No daily rewards. No world boss chest. No jumping puzzle reward. No crafting timegated materials.

Really, I think they’ll offer No compensation as well. I expect they’ll just fix and say it’s too bad for all our time wasted. I don’t post on forums much, but this time this is too much. You gated all the rewards from contents behind time wall and now that wall is bugged and not lowered properly.

I would expect some form of band aid solution in the meantime but I don’t think they would give us any…so yeah, I wouldn’t hope for anything much after tomorrow’s reset.

Fine, if dev team does not have time for this fix, I wouldn’t have time for this game either.

Hey guys, I’ve been a player since launch, mostly for the PvP as I believe the PvE to be way more boring than it should be. The PvP state has always had lots of issues, It had things right and other things terribly wrong.

But despite everything wrong, its a game that has incredible potential because of it’s gameplay. Me and lots of friends patiently waited for the patches while handling the frustration of the issues. Hoping that one day I’t would eventually become the great PvP game we all wanted.

We are still waiting and are still insane enough to keep waiting like beaten dogs who are still loyal.

-Gold in PvP :
‘’Oh you’ve been playing PvP for thousands of hours, let us not give you anything of the new rewards while new players who play thousands of hours will be rich kittens…Enjoy’’

-Increase of Rank points gained in TPvP :
‘’Oh, you’ve played thousands of TPvP matches, let us not grant you your well deserved rank points, and let new players get 2x your rank with the same amount of matches, while the hotjoin heros and skyham farmers still get to keep their higher-than-yours rank’’.

-Increase of Rank points gained accross the board :
‘’Let us increase the rank points earned instead of reducing rank points required, just so our loyal veterans never get compensation for suffering through our game all this time’’.

TL;DR : New players are being favoured when older and loyal players gets left in the dust, us older players never get compensation. Please, discuss,

You don’t need to do all achievemets for the chest and “….My City” achievement. You can also do daily LS for the chest.

Why even waste you time to post such a stupidly obvious point? I get this kinda answer all the time and it only proves that you don’t understand the big picture. I realize I don’t need all the achievements and I am sure the OP knows that also…but that isn’t the point of the post. Your response takes a serious issue and belittles it. You are unknowingly hurting yourself by attempting to lower the standards of all players. Instead Anet needs to make sure their content works before putting out there unless it is permanent….And when they patch it, it should be corrected or what was the point of the patch. It seems to me that their patch wasn’t to fix the boss encounter but was mainly to fix the rewards. This comes across very badly to me and I’m sure many others because they weren’t making the rewards better they were making them worse. Anet keeps this up and they will have almost no serious players left.

Remove this achiev because the conditions to do are not possible for more players.

Why:

1 – Overflow
2 – We need 150 active players:
- More players afk
- More players leech
- More players do other things: others achievs or farm
- More players don’t known the strats and wouldn’t like to excute this strat or they can’t to do it: stuff, food, potion, build.
- The gameplay of more players is very poor: they dont know an aoe or escape (maybe to create a tutorial)
4 – During Event – only 2 weeks and this achiev was bugged during more days

It’s the reallity, we can’t organize this achiev with few players who are motivated.

I think only one guild among many servers has finished this achiev.

We have no time to win it. We are not in organization as Tequatl: only 2 weeks !

So delete it or change time to kill the 3 knights less 9 minutes.

The reason ANet broke the Knights encounters has to do with not understanding player psychology. If they did, everything that happened would be very predictable.

Situation: At first, you could kill as many knights as you liked, get six boxes for each, and needed all three cleared to get to the hologram.

Outcome: If you kill one knight, you get six boxes, but if you kill three knights, you get 18 boxes. Everyone tried to kill thee bosses. This was chaotic at first, but the players got it down to a pattern and managed to do this routinely.

ANet did not like this. We weren’t playing their game “right,” they needed to stop us from playing it how we wanted to play, we were only allowed to play it how they wanted us to play it. So they “fixed” it.

Situation: They made it so that you could only have 50 players on a boss at once time. If not enough players went to each Knight, it would fail, leading the event to fail far more often.

Outcome: This was even further exacerbated by at least some of the players not paying much attention to the rules change, and following their existing patterned behavior of downing Blue before even attempting the others. This meant that if there were, say, 120 players in the zone, you’d get around 50 at Blue (maybe more if they were dumb), 30 at Green, and 30 at Red (with another 10 just running around doing who knows what). These would typically fail.

Since the events would often fail, less and less people showed up for them. When they do, knowing that they would fail, more and more people that do show up just head for blue, because while it’s arguably possible for 90 people to split into three groups of three and maybe win, it’s far better to clear Blue and everyone gets a prize than to get 90% damage to all thee Knights and not kill any of them. Now that the players are demoralized, even if they “fix” it again on Monday, it’s unlikely that most servers will ever again reach critical mass, the damage has been done.

So what did ANet do wrong here?

1. Scaling. However their scaling works, it doesn’t work right. A full group of 50 people on a knight stand a decent chance of success, but I’ve never once seen 50 people on each knight, and smaller groups are haphazard at best. Apparently sometimes smaller groups work, but there seem to be issues where maybe 30 people can cut it, but 25 or 35 both fail it, something where the scaling jumps ahead of the actual number of players or something. Also, if 30 people are working on a knight, and ten more join from a different knight in the last few minutes, the scaling seems to overshoot, boosting the Knight’s HP to the point that the added DPs can’t make up for the difference in the time allotted.

Solution: Fix the scaling. Make it assume less DPS from each player,

2. The Timer: If players can’t beat them in 15 minutes, the whole thing fails. This leads to a defeatist attitude, which causes people to double down on the easy path rather than attempt the harder path that they know will fail anyways. Since for the most part this event takes about 20 minutes to complete, the 15 minute time limit is unreasonable.

Solution: Remove the timer, or at least set it to 20 minutes.

3. Condition Damage: Condition damage is completely worthless in this fight. It does zero damage for at least half the fight, and even during the other half, the condition damage is not a big deal, all you need to do is stack any fifty conditions on the Knight and ALL damag eis boosted, so even during this phase power damage is perfectly fine.

Solution: Remove Condition damage from the game. That seems to be the track we’re on anyways, While ideally condition damage could be fixed, moves like this one show that Power damage is intended to be the only appropriate build, so players accidentally putting any effort into Condition builds are just misleading themselves. Remove all conditions from the game and replace them with equivalent direct damage.

Even when i like this LS (Design, Story) it annoys me how Arenanet focus on this WORLD events like it is the BEST GW2 has to offer.
Really i dont wanna play with complete Map all day and just be 1/150 and it doessnt matter when i go afk or do my best performance – im just 1

Or Solo Content? (Liadri – Most People Loved this)

World Content is ok when its a Snowflake but annoying and boring when complete game is all about.

Fed up of seeing achievements being added that rely on other players to be able to get them.

These are MY Achievement points and it’s not fair that I can’t get them because i’m stuck in a server of Morons who don’t listen or just don’t understand what is going on….

The latest release for example:
“6-Minutes till Knightfall” – I alone cannot achieve this, I rely completely on other people being there and working together to gain this achievement… WHY!?

Did Arenanet not state “Play the game how you want to play it” well I’d like to get all the achievements completed for the living story and at this rate I won’t because i have to rely on others… This post has been a long time coming!

Just while i’m on the subject of the “6-minutes” achievement, Anet have been so obsessed with the loot that they have now made it too hard, meaning we can kill 1 knight in 14-minutes… So tell me how are we going to get this achievement now? furthermore how am i going to get the scarlet achievements if I now can’t get to the battle phase? ALL BECAUSE I HAVE TO RELY ON EVERYONE ELSE!

Sort it out or remove the Achievement Anet… and stop adding achievements that mean we have to rely on others. I understand you want us to work together but we shouldn’t be forced to do so in order to gain achievements.

Agreed, especially when large portions of the fight negate Condition DPS entirely. They need to stop having bosses where if you can’t deal X DPs in Y amount of time then you get nothing.

So I just tried that “Kill 3 Legendary Clockworks” quest. It is nothing but a DPS test. Can we please stop having quests like these?

With no New game modes coming in January 2014 no rewards coming in December / February and No balance patch coming in March [CM] have decided enough is enough.

Anets lack of updates in pvp means that it is no longer possible to motivate a team to play with no rewards, goals and no new content to look forward to. [CM] is not the first team to stop playing Gw2 due to lack of updates in Spvp and I wonder how long will it be before the rest of the ‘higher’ tier teams will follow?

Anet have created an extremely great game with so much potential but all of it recently is ruined by keeping secrets. Why can’t you just tell us what we are getting and when so that we all aren’t just wasting our time on hoping and not receiving?
